Great food! And awesome staff!

The sushi was mediocre to be honest. Not bad at all, but not the best especially for the price. Our server was very friendly, but the service overall was quite slow. The ambiance was nice and lively Vegetarian options: There are veggie rolls and other options available on the menu

Overpriced, but to be expected in Chatham. A sushi joint with flies buzzing about charging Nobu prices isn t it. Literally the tuna roll costs the same as Nobu. The sushi was acceptable, but the staff was rude and the flies abounded.

Service was excellent, Alex was serving us and she was the warmest, loveliest waitress we ve had in a long time ! Food was amazing, everything was so fresh. I highly recommend the bluefin martini, spider roll and the oysters Rockefeller. Can t wait to come back to Chatham to eat this delicious meal again

Getting to our table, the service was great-- primarily on the basis that it was empty when we got there. The fried rice and lobster dip with wonton chips (which wasnt allowed for takeout?) made for delicious appetizers. Among the things I got, the Red Sox roll was by far the best. With its savory spicy mayo and Unagi sauce, everyone wanted a piece, and for good reason! However, the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl was quite underwhelming-- half-full, consisting primarily of airy wonton chips and one thin strip of lettuce, it left only so much room for the more desirable components of the bowl: fried rice, avocado, and the spicy tuna itself. However, my biggest grievance with Bluefin is that, upon requesting a reservation for 4:30, the person told us that the restaurant would be at full capacity by then. Wanting food from here, we settled for a 4:00 reservation. Expecting pandemonium, what I didnt expect was that we were the first people there. Even by the time we left, at 5:00, only 1/4 of the tables were occupied. Bluefin ultimately left more to be desired, with its seating options and entrées-- I will, of course, come back for their rolls.

Sushi was chewy and too much rice. Absolutely, not a special sushi place. Bottom line was yuk. Firstly, I rated 4. But after giving a thought, it is definitely 3 star.

Absolutely delicious sushi! Had the Roll 513 and the Surf n Turf. Definitely recommend. The baked oysters were delicious as well. Busy place and gets a bit loud when full but worth a trip.

Prompt friendly service, dishes were well prepared, especially liked my chocolate cake and decaf at the end.

The best food we have eaten in Cape Cod this week. We tried most of the nicest restaurants in Chatham, and there was an obvious winner Bluefins.

Large selection of delicious fresh sushi - we had bao buns, the tornado roll and the cape cod monster roll and everything was sooo good. Modern inside, lots of yummy sake options to choose from.

Not only is this my favorite restaurant in Chatham, but it s probably my favorite restaurant period. I ve been here, probably five times and every time it s better than the last. I love the sushi and the Chicken wings the environment is perfect and it s situated in downtown Chatham so you can go for a walk after eating and relax. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I can t say enough good things about this place.

Bluefins is my favorite place to dine in the Cape. The kitchen food is incredible and the sushi is amazing. The stuff is always super friendly and accommodating. I love this restaurant!

Our go-to sushi and fusion Asian place in Chatham. The pad Thai is very good. If you cant get a table try the bar. If you are in Chatham its with a visit for some sushi etc.

Have been a repeat customer of bluefins for several years up until this past week when one simple meal creation was improperly cooked and saturated with a tremendous amount of salt for whatever ever reason other than my conclusion would be incorrectly trained staff and incprrentlyncooked or tainted product. My partner asked for the meal to be corrected or a different meal be made or replated. The waitress (Ashley) had laughed and thought it was quite humorous that we would ask such a thing. A gentleman approached us identifying himself as host staff and asked if everything was ok. His solution was to replace the same product but with a different side. But with the same protein(Tuna Corriander) replated but was also saturated in a tremendous amount of salt product. My partner later that evening became very Ill. However prior to leaving the restaurant I had asked the wait staff same waitress if she could present the issue to management. They had failed to respond. When I finally called to present the issue to the proper management team they had become very defensive and seemed as though bothered but agreed to make resolution which is still outstanding. I have patronized this restaurant for many years but up until now it seems as though its become too commercialized than more personable type service. The sushi products are fabulous and have always recommended this sushi bar to thousands of individuals. However the cooked meals have been an ongoing problematic topic for at least a year. I unfortunately at this point would not recommend this restaurant over others in the area. There are many other great seafood restaurants in the area that are grateful of thier local and touring clients. And would frown upon a wait staff representative to humiliate any clientele. So just a word to the wise. Beware before you patronize a restaurant that may not take the publics health as first priority.

Tried the sushi and wasnt good. Over priced even for the area. Staff wasnt friendly and had to sit at end of bar where they gathered and talk bad about customers and each other. Tried to change seats but told i couldnt even though bar was empty. Have to sit where they put you. Wont be back.

Bluefins is an excellent sushi restaurant located in downtown Chatham. The food is amazing of excellent quality and the presentation is very nice. The atmosphere can be noisy, but is Chic in other ways. Ive eaten there several times and have never been disappointed, though always Im surprised when the bill comes at the price. I know its a Chatham restaurant and it is Chatham prices.

While one of Chatham s nicer restaurants which is more like a true city-style place, a nice selection of well-prepared sushi but it s also equally disappointing. The service is rushed, and you will be pushed to order and get out. It s very off-putting especially with the pretentious staff at the front desk. We did note a large table of take-out near the sushi bar, many orders sitting out on the table for the hour or so we were there - never good with supposed high-end sushi and seemed incredibly irresponsible.

Be careful! They are hiring servers on Indeed and I just moved to a new town and don t have a job here and looking for one. I visited this place and the staff were very rude , I told them that I m looking for a job, I had my resume with me, but one lady who works there even didn t lemme filled the application and almost kicked me out! I live here all year round the third year already and haven t ever seen so disrespectful place.

Wonderful night out

Heard great things at Blue Fins, so i took my family for the night out. Let me tell that this might be the worst sushi I have ever had in my life. I had family members unable to finish because it was inedible. The fried rice was mushy and the sausage in it was uncooked. The drinks were the only thing that was enjoyable. Save your money considering everything on the menu is over 20$.

We went with friends to catch up and enjoy dinner/drinks. It was impossible to have conversation. The restaurant is extremely loud and needs to add more sound panels. Food was excellent. Shishito peppers and rib appetizers were great. Sushi, haddock and Thai noodles were also very good. Everyone enjoyed the meal, we just had a tough time talking. I recommend for party of two, sit at the bar. Larger parties should go elsewhere, unless you don t mind just looking at each other.

Be prepared to be kicked out of this restaurant halfway through the nice bottle of wine you re enjoying. We purchased several plates of food for a birthday dinner, only to be abruptly brought the bill when they were ready for us to leave to bring in another group. Never in our lives have we been asked to leave a restaurant, no matter how fancy or divey it was. The waitress was great throughout our time - this assault on our dinner was mostly brought about by the *less than friendly* woman who came from the front. Will not be going back. Plenty of good food locally.

We visited on Easter this year and the staff was so attentive and quick! I loved my spicy margarita and the sushi was so fresh and delicious! It kind of made me wish we lived closer! The bluefin roll was a favorite- sweet mango and spicy tuna with fresh cucumber to tie everything together!

A little expensive but all the food was amazing. We had a great dinner and the service was great.

Simply the best restaurant on cape cod with the best staff. Every single time We go its an amazing experience. They never miss. This is the way a business should be run. The food is always amazing. We will be back soon.

Fast incredible service

We loved the food and plan to bring friends here in the future. I strongly recommend the mussels. The broth was so awesome that I ordered extra bread to soak it up.

Wonderful sushi, seafood, Ramen and Bao Buns. Try the Korean Ribs...theyre glorious. Maybe the only Really Good Sake selection on Cape Cod. I eat there every time Im in the Cape. Its impossible to beat this food.

Won t take take out orders at 7:20 at night even though their website says they are open for takeout. Literally nothing about not taking orders after a certain time on their site. Spent 30 min getting a huge order for the family only to be told they don t serve dinner at dinner time

We loved this place so much! I wish I couldve taken a picture of the sushi. I just didnt think to do so at the time. It was fantastic as was the server.

Lady at pick up / take out runs a tip racket ! $476 order (for 8 of us) and she asks add tip? I said yes waiting for her to hand the machine and she instead hit 25% without asking. For a freaking PICK UP order. Went back a month later (yesterday) and it was a smaller order and this time I said no, no tip this time for pick up she replies oh you must be Indian that s why you don t tip (hint: I m not but not the point). I was shocked. She was blatantly racist. And was annoyed she couldn t fleece people on 25% tips on pickup orders. Either way, terrible service. Terrible people. I called management and they said they d speak to her . Didn t bother to take my number to call me with an update. Incredible. Summertime racket in Chatham. Food is OK. Rolls better than sashimi.

Seated us with no reservation and the food was fresh and tasty. The server was attentive and had helpful recommendations.

We were in town visiting friends for 3rd time this summer and we always go to Blue Fin when in town its always one of our favorites. Last night was the exception, we wanted to order more food and another round of drinks but were informed we were at the end of our 90 minutes allowed at the table and couldnt order. As we looked around there were numerous tables open and no one seemed to be waiting. They treated us very poorly and we wrapped up the bill and left and will not return.

Excellent ambience and service. Sushi was good. Note to Chef, just because you can fry food does not mean you can call it tempura? So if you re looking for traditional Japanese tempura, it s actually more of a heavy breaded, deep fried fish and chips style but if that s your thing, it s delicious! It s just not Tempura.

Delicious!!! I had the Cape Cod Monster, Roll 513 and the Zydeco! They were all amazing but Cape Cod Monster stole the show! I could have eaten 5 of those. Although quite expensive, it was worth it on vacation! The only thing I did not love was the brownie- it was a bit dry. So skip dessert and go hard on the rolls!

An excessively noisy, uncomfortable place to enjoy what is erroneously called sushi. Spices and sauces that are burning hot do not make sushi--it is a travesty. The Manager was completely unconcerned. At $250 for two, it is a complete waste of money.

Great food, great service! We were not impressed with the chicken that came with the pad Thai so they took it off the bill. They accidentally brought us a different sushi roll then we ordered so they let us keep it and got us the one we ordered. Very impressed and will definitely come back! Good drinks also!

We were 15 minutes late we were in a lot of traffic getting out of Boston. They called us and held our table. Service was great. And the food was even better. Our server Ashley was very helpful and had a good understanding of what was on the menu.

No one whos traveled this country would mistake New England for a sushi mecca, and yet this beloved Chatham joint can hold its own against the best that the likes of New York and San Francisco have to offer. The best sushi on The Cape hands down.

Fantastic food - the rolls and sashimi were delicious. It was quiet and we were rushed by our server on numerous occasions on a 7.15am sitting, for my first meeting with a friend in 18months, but it was off season.

Three words... OMG! Some of the best special maki sushi i have ever had. The Angry Dragon rocked my world and the Surf and Turf roll was delicious too. Saw a few other dishes get passed around the bar to other patrons and no one had a single bad thing to say. Highly recommended!

Excellent skirt steak!

This restaurant was sheek and inviting and very busy. We had sushi, salmon and much more. I recommend making a reservation delicious sushi in downtown Chatham. Our server was prompt and efficient, and helpful as we made our choices. Id definitely eat here again.

Everything about our experience was once again fabulous. Our server Jeremy was incredibly patient and professional as was the entire staff. We had various age groups in our party from 14 to 82 and and all of us are still raving about our dinner today. Thank you!

Pricey but definitely worthed.

Store added a $14 tip on our TAKE OUT order, which equated to 20%. When we called to inquire, they simply stated it was the tip and did not acknowledge that it was not authorized by us, the customer. As for the food, we ordered take out sushi. Sushi was good, although, no place to put the soy and we were not going home so that was disappointing.

Fresh, well prepared sushi but the problem is the service. Ive been twice. Both times the server reminded us that there was a 90 minute limit on the table. The first visit, we asked that the main course be served after our cocktails and appetizers, everything came at once along with the attitude to get done ASAP. The second visit was worse. This time the server confronted our friend who had paid the bill as we were leaving. He complained the tip was too low. I spoke to the manager about this and she replied everyone is trying to make a living. Fine. You can try to make a living without my business.

Like most places in Chatham, this place does not disappoint you. Great food, good service and fine dine kind of ambience. Awesome for dates or family eat out! Since its right in heart of downtown and very popular, parking could be hard to find.

I enjoyed our meal at Bluefins. The restaurant was clean and had a modern look to it. The staff were friendly and the food was not only good but it came out quickly as well. I ordered the toro Nigri, the Cape Cod Monster, and a Philly roll. All were made well and tasted great! I wasnt a fan of the Martini but I suspect that was more about my preference than the actual cocktail itself. Parking was on street. So its going to be first come first serve but we were there early in the night so it wasnt an issue at all.

Upscale fusion fare with a variety of specialty rolls. All of the fish was very fresh and extraordinarily well prepared. We got the crème brûlée for dessert, which was a treat! Wait staff is friendly and extremely attentive. For the same quality, you might easily pay twice the price in Boston.

Top notch sushi! The maki, nigiri and sashimi were all excellent, super fresh fish and nice preparations! Service was very professional although a tad perfunctory and (at least at the part of the bar where we sat) lacked the more typical introductions of the fabulous varieties of fish on the platter being served. The vibe is definitely upscale and chic, and the background music definitely attempts to set that mood for the young crowd with a constantly looping hypnotic techno playlist whose underlying repetitive percussion got real old by the end of the evening. Pricing is upscale as well, but perhaps not out of range for the quality of the fish and the town of Chatham (we spent $150 for the two of us, plus tip, which included an awesome shared appetizer, a Chefs Choice Nigiri sampler, two Maki rolls, and 3 glasses of wine also shared between us). Overall, a top notch sushi experience that is not easily found on Cape, just be prepared to pay for it, and be in the mood for a high-octane kind of vibe. Reservations suggested (although in the off season, there is often seating available at the bar by 8 or 9pm).

Incredibly good oysters for not a bad price. The place is a lot quieter then its sister branch in Falmouth, which is surprising.

My family are residents of Chatham and this is one of our favorite places to eat. Sushi, appetizers, and entrees are all delicious. And the staff consistently treat us well!

I have never had a bad experience at bluefin. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating and jolly. There s a love for great local seafood. Also - in a time of much uncertainty, they ve adjusted really well to a social distancing pickup process - really seamless (though I would advise people in the car wear masks so we protect the staff!)

The takeout was not so great. The food was overcooked. They are also over priced.

Fantastic food, but don t expect extras. Sushi is awesome- but they don t include chopsticks or soy sauce... on a $170 order. (And only one soy sauce packet on the previous order for four people). Thankfully we had planned ahead and soy sauce at home and was able to use s mores sticks as chopsticks. All around a great place to get sushi takeout- highly recommend!

Way too pricy for mediocre sushi. Because of Covid they make you order take out, by phone only, which is fine. They weren t very friendly, then asked for a tip at pickup. We drive back to our Inn and discover that no chopsticks, napkins or utensils were included. For 4 rolls, they gave enough ginger for maybe two rolls. 3 of the 4 rolls looked and tasted practically the same. Not impressed.

Sat at the bar. Had a very difficult time making up our minds. Steamers, fried asparagus, and sushi were all delicious.

There is only street parking. The street is a bit narrow. The store is a decent size. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the mouse with whipped cream and coconut shavings...it was the best dessert I have ever eaten. So light ...not too sweet...just right.

Great food and great service. Arrived just at opening on Saturday with no reservation; obviously a popular location as we had to sit at the sushi bar. We were served promptly but not in a manner that felt rushed. The options for sushi were varied and we were not disappointed with our choices (a special hand roll, traditional spicy tuna roll and a selection of creative rolls, Alaskan and angry dragon). If you enjoy sushi, make this place a destination.
