Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. This must be the best restaurant in Chatham and in the top tier of Medway. It was recommended to me by an Uber driver and Ill be forever thankful as Ive not had such a great experience elsewhere. The starters (hummus, other dips, olive and bread) come for free if youre ordering certain set menus, and everything else is very reasonably priced. Ill definitely be returning! Absolutely ridiculous customer service experienced today. Ordered online 3 times before, the same driver has attended 3 times. I waited 1 hour 50 mins for my order and when the driver called to ask where my location was I was baffled and he seemed unsure of location?? The online order clearly show address details? If you can not understand online ordering or it s difficult to navigate that, then maybe not do it. Last week you forgot part of my order which I called up about. I won t be ordering from you again it s more hassle than it s worth. INRESPONSE TO TAZE REPLY The absolute lie, if there was any abusive language your driver would have refused delivery, and you would not have fulfilled the order. I have a witness in reception who can vouch that. If you lying makes it look better for your business, because it s embarrassing for you that s on you. Your driver admitted that you don t check all details on online order, and told me I should have written my address down twice in the notes box? Your problem & error! Take accountability, taking 1 hour and 50 mins to deliver food is not acceptable and the driver lying he didnt know location considering he has delivered twice before and you are around the corner!?? lol Train yourself on your customer service, its appalling.

Really poor in this place. I Order 2 kebabs no extra sauce come out with the main like it use to with added bread on the plates. Asked for another dip got charged £6 for this. Half of my chicken wasn t cooked I told the staff if they would have bothered to come over and ask how the food was they would see I hadn t eaten most of the chicken. Said she was busy. Bill came out and was charged for large meals when I didn t ask for large. To which she was telling me I didn t state what I wanted which she never asked. Really poor service. Any other restaurant wouldn t have charged you for raw meat!

There was so much food but it was all excellent. The service was a little slow but the poor man was all on his own upstairs for most of the time trying to serve everyone on a busy bank holiday evening. Parking: Church street car park is just over the road, it is fairly tricky to find with all the one ways but just over the road from the restaurant.

Always very helpful and great quality food. Always buying the chicken wings. Buy a lot of their seasoned bread on my way past to eat with home curries and it s delicious. Lovely staff who brighten up this end of an awful high street. Parking: You can park for a few minutes to pick up food and there are two spaces in the loading bay outside the nearby (10m) pub.

Food is lovely, the staff are so hospitable! The card machine wasn t working but gave us the option to bank transfer as we did not have cash. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

A friend and I had a meal here on a Monday evening. Good service to start off with but we were only half way through our starter when the main course was served. Consequently it was luke warm when we started to eat it. When we finished the waitress told us they only accepted cash which was a bit disturbing. We were told we could walk along the high street to a cash machine. It turns out they do take cards but cant do chip and pin. We felt we had been rushed.

Food always good.,but The staff must have changed because we were served by an unfriendly woman who didnt let us go to the top floor, she said that the top floor opens only in the evening (although we visit this restaurant often and never had a problem with that, we always managed to go upstairs and didnt have to wait for the evening), but this time it everything was different . But you know that we were disappointed the most! after an hour, the girls came and she allowed them to go upstairs, so the employee lied to us, ... and all the actions took place at 12pm , .

Yilmaz and the team couldnt have been more helpful when arranging and providing lunches for a womens arts project I was running nearby. Everything was fresh, tasty and affordably priced. All the participants went home happy and full saying theyd pay the restaurant a visit individually another time!

Firstly, the bread was delicious. The grilled chicken wings were tasty. A few items on the platter couldve done with a little more seasoning. But overall was a good meal, and I will definitely be back.

Nice place. Was pretty quiet when I visited on a Sunday evening. I had a small kofte kebab which was actually a very nice portion and was very tasty. It came with a portion of bread and a salad.

Visited here on Saturday and sat upstairs. We had starters and main meals and was in and out in 45 mins. The starter came out, which was lovely, then whilst we were still eating, the main came out. My friend still had the fork in her mouth when they took the main plates away at the end. Very quick and felt very rushed. Sadly, that has put us off returning. Parking: Pay to park

Ordered an £85 delivery for 6:15, attempted food delivery at 2:30 which I refused as was for an evening meal. After calling to check that the order will be freshly done and assured it will be. This was absolutely just kept warm and most of it inedible including the lamb which was just so fatty and chewy and to top it off some of the order missing which they did rectify an hour later. Will definitely not use again nor recommend!

Food is good but atmosphere is not good

First time coming eating here food was really good however we waited a little while before food arrived. One of the waiters, the guy with the pony tail was extremely helpful with explanation and looked after me and my friends. I will definitely be coming back but maybe before busy times

Delicious food

Best turkish food in the UK, not exaggerating, almost better than what I had in Istanbul. Meat was all cooked beautifully with a wonderfully smoky taste, bread and dips were amazing too.

My fave Meze in Medway. The team are fab, the best menu. I love it so much, we have been for the past 2 Xmas days too.

We came as a group to eat at Taze and this is really down to the great food and great atmosphere. Even though we arrived with out a booking we was greeted with a nice welcome and the staff was extremely friendly . Especially the lovely lady and the guy that was upstairs was really helpful in explaining the food to us . We will definitely be coming back thank you to all the staff 10/10

Went to Taze for a birthday iftar as 4 adults, a toder and newborn. We had amazing food and excellent service. Good food portion sizes and the mocktails were delicious. The staff were friendly and the young male waiter in particular (sorry we didnt ask your name) was very approachable and professional. They acommodate children well, provided a high chair if needed and seated us at a more convenient table for space and comfort. Many thanks for making our experience a positive one

One of the best meals I ve ever had. Reallyyyy good service for me I was shocked I m used to having to wait ages (they had my order ready as soon as I walked in) and the food was so delicious and fresh the Lachmacun(excuse my spelling) did not disappoint Generous portions which match the price. I m so shocked the place isn t rammed every weekend because more people need to be at Taze Restaurant. I must order from here again

Poor food, Chicken was very overcooked, possibly recooked. Dry and crusty. Lamb had many gristly tough pieces. The waitress and cook came out after I started my meal to tell me to give half of my lamb portion to my friend as they had not given him enough and me too much. Coffee was only warm. Wouldnt take electronic payments over £100. Not a pleasant experience. Best to avoid this restaurant!

Disappointed by my recent visit to Taze, which I chose based on its Trip Advisor ratings. The ambiance felt more akin to a cafe than the upscale Turkish restaurant I anticipated, detracting from the dining experience. The service left much to be desired; our waitress seemed disengaged and uninterested in her role, impacting the overall atmosphere negatively. Culinary-wise, the dishes were mediocre, and a noticeable lapse in service occurred when we were asked to rectify an error with our order by swapping food items amongst ourselves hardly the standard one expects. Additionally, the absence of butter for the rice, a staple in Turkish cuisine, and the insistence on a peculiar contactless payment limit that contradicted the total bill, only added to the frustration. The only saving grace was food was served relatively quickly. One final thing, there was no parking outside so you need to pay for parking a few minutes away and walk in. In summary, Taze fell short of the high expectations set by previous Turkish dining experiences, both in terms of service and culinary delight.

Food was really good and fresh, especially chicken shish, beautifully charcoaled from outside and tender from inside. Service was excellent too. We were offered complementary tea for some polite reason.

Came here for the first time thought wed give it a try even though we are not local, the food was excellent and despite a glitch would definitely recommend just for the excellent way Yilmaz dealt with us, he couldnt apologise and do enough to keep us happy, top grade customer service from him, you couldnt ask for more. Give it a try they dont even have an additional service charge on the bill. We will definitely be going back.

The food is brilliant and cooked with the right spices. The only thing I found that ruined the time there was people vaping/smoking .. I understand it is outside, but in a family gathering, that should be eliminated. Other than that I would recommend this restaurant

If I could give this restaurant a 0 star I would. From when I entered with my family (I had a double pram) the lady who served us had a poor attitude and talked to us like we was an inconvenience. I tried to look past that because I thought maybe she was having a bad day. We were finally placed outside that was was attached to the restaurant. Upon getting outside a group of 3 ppl entered with a dog ( not a guide dog) another family had complained about the dog but this was dismissed. After that we all carried on dining then a member of staff brought the dog water in bowl whilst customers ate with their kids. Upon seeing that we were disgusted. Furthermore In the outdoor dining area there was at least 4 babies, the people from the table started to smoke and when politely asked they looked up and said they were outside, would not stop smoking and were very rude about it. I tried to speak to staff but he told them he can smoke. At this point the food came and the it was below par and due to the poor service and bad food we left promptly. I would say avoid at all costs terrible service with terrible food. I will also be reporting them to the local council

Everything about this place is outstanding. The food is incredible. Vegetarian options: Imam bayildi. Translated this dish means the Imam fainted. The story says that in history the Imam tried this dish for the first time and past out from overwhelming delight, hence the name. Its my go to veggie dish every visit.

Not bad but not great either. All in all an average experience. Ive eaten here before, many years ago. Back then the food was better & likewise the service. In fact when the restaurant was in its original location (next door) & was a small restaurant, the food was spectacular. It feels to me as the owners have become complacent after years of success in their trade. Credit where its due in respect of their success in an extremely difficult market, BUT dont become complacent & let your standards drop. Also be prepared before you visit to pay in cash only. They have signs up on the walls however we only noticed them when finalising our order. Thankfully though, given the location of the restaurant there are many ATMs available. Also a note to the owners. Charging £3 for a jug of tap water is a disgrace. I requested a jug of tap water with some ice. Your staff placed 3-4 ice cubes in the jug (no lemon), but yet your waiter insisted on Charging £3 for a jug of tap water. This left a very bitter taste in my mouth (not literally).

Delicious Turkish food with amazing staff!

Sat in the kitchen area when asked for the first floor on booking, was advised too cold but later other guests were taken up there. Fluorescent lighting horrible, no service as such, after order taken no check ins on the food or to take further drinks order. Table cleared with no words or eye contact, not asked if further drinks or dessert wanted so we asked for the bill eventually. Hadnt clocked the cash only signs at all, before taking the order they should make this clear so you have a chance to get cash before the end of the meal. Not great to have to walk out to a cashpoint in this dodgy part of the high street late at night. All in, wont be back despite the food actually being OK, atmosphere and service is no stars really.
