Great patio dining. Art is an awesome host. The food is a must-have in Chemainus. Try the Pad Thai! Parking: Parking near the terminal on Oak. Wheelchair accessibility: Small restaurant, but they can accommodate for wheelchairs. There is a ramp to the front door.

We follow a plant based diet and the restaurant was able to accommodate this. The food was fresh and delicious, and service was quick. Everything was clean and organized.

This food is so good, youll crave it when unable to have it! I love the Pad Thai, chicken Mixed vegetables with peanut sauce, red curry, although I could go on and on, the papaya salad is a treat. Really you cant go wrong with any item on the menu. Arthur is a wonderful host and all the staff are friendly and work hard to ensure you have a good meal.

Tonight my wife and I had dinner at Thai Pinto, Art is the front of end staff and his service was amazing, as always. Tonight was our anniversary and we get what we always order, the pad Thai. The food that is made in this family owned restaurant tastes delicious. I love it my wife loves and my 7 year old daughter loves the food here too. We are super happy with this restaurant. Art cliped some flowers from his garden and gave it to the last couple customers of the evening, one of them being my wife on our anniversary. If you want service with a warm smile, and a cherry on top this is the place to dine. And happy anniversary to my beautiful wife :)

Thai Pinto was the first place my fiancee and I dined out on the Island. It is by far our favourite place to eat out. Great service, amazing spring rolls (so crunchy and home made fresh daily) and wonderful flavour. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food! Highly recommend #7 and #21

Delicious and freshly prepared food for a reasonable price. Some of the tastiest Thai food I have ever eaten. A Thai acquaintance says their food is her favourite and closest to real deal Thai food. Dietary restrictions: The menu identifies dishes with potential allergens.

AMAZING! The food was so flavourful. The service was very generous. We had our toddler with us who wasnt in the greatest of moods. The server saw that we were struggling and brought us some prawn crackers to tide him over. It was a thoughtful touch.

This is some of the best authentic Thai food weve had on V Island. Customer service is excellent and the atmosphere is clean and quaint.

We had such good food today from Thai Pinto! We tried the drunken noodles. Great spice, really delish, lots of vegetables cooked perfectly. They used ramen noodles in the dish, which was a bit of a surprise, but we have seen in BC, restaurants dont serve the flat rice noodles. Nevertheless, it was fantastic, and I will order it again! As the other reviews said, the owner is super friendly. They were very welcoming and helpful. This restaurant is also super cute inside. Love it!

Just WOW. So glad we stopped here. The flavours of the fried rice and the curry were unbelievable. The pineapple fried rice was amazing, the crunch from the cashews and the texture of the tofu & added goodies (peas & raisins &egg) was so delicious. Excellent portion size! We also split a green Thai curry which was unbelievably fragrant, with tofu which was just perfect! One of the best meals Ive had in a long time. Next time were on the island well undoubtedly be back.

Art, the owner was a fantastic host. I called ahead of time before visiting. He is very communicative when food allergy concerns are discussed when ordering items from the menu. He guided us to choose the dishes that were guaranteed free of my allergies. He makes a conscientious effort to read all the ingredient labels of his products and ensure prep stations are away from allergen contact. For those who have severe a peanut allergy like me, We ordered the chicken wontons, pad thai, and yellow curry. All were able to be completely safe for me to eat. We enjoyed the quality of the food and conversation and our tables outdoor view was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely come back again when we visit Thetis Island in the future. New to the area and was pleasantly surprised to find Thai Pinto. Delicious, fresh, authentic Thai cuisine. The owner takes pride in the food that is served. Ordered pad Thai and vegetarian spring rolls and everything was piping hot and smelled so delectable that it was hard to wait to get home to dig in!

Thai Pinto has absolutely delicious food. One of the best Thai places in the Cowichan Valley for sure. The northern style curry soup is so delicious! And of course the pad Thai is phenomenal. The staff are great too. Last time I was there it was very busy so the service was a bit slower but that s to be expected.

The food is killer good! Best Thai Ive had outside of Thailand. But you might have to wait for it. I once waited almost 2 hours for my takeout. Its a small kitchen with authentic fresh ingredients being prepared for you, which is precisely what makes it so good. So dont whine about the time it takes, because once you taste the food, youll forget all about the wait, and youll definitely be back again soon.

Although its a 30-minute drive from home, its well worth it. We go often, just had my 80th birthday dinner there. Food and staff are excellent, and enough left over to take home. My favorite is the coconut soup, and all other dishes we have tried are tasty. We always share the dishes. Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free choices. Parking: I often find rock star parking at the front door!

Surprisingly good Thai food with complex, well-balanced flavours, cooked and served by charming people in pleasant surroundings. Although the menu doesnt currently indicate this, almost everything can be made vegan: they have tofu and use fish sauce in almost no dishes. Great to have this as one of the few dining options in Chemainus. Vegetarian options: Only a couple of items on the menu are marked as vegan, and tofu isnt listed as a protein option, but almost all their dishes can be made vegan, with tofu replacing the listed meats.

Amazing Thai food!

This may be my second 5 star review for this restaurant, its been awhile since I ordered from here. Got the Pad Thai and the deep fried wontons. Both delicious, the wontons were spectacular and I love the sauce they come with, have to remember to order extra sauce next time as it is also delicious on the Pad Thai. I ordered the Pad Thai with prawns and there were at least 6 juicy, fresh, perfectly cooked prawns and lots of Pad Thai, which I will be finishing for lunch tomorrow. It was perfect, hot and the flavour was exactly what I was looking for, more than enough for two people, or with leftovers for one. Happy, pleasant owner, always has a smile and a nice word. Wont wait so long for my next visit to this gem of a restaurant.

So delicious!! Ive been here several times and it is consistently one of the best Thai places Ive ever eaten. The yellow curry is my favorite, but the cashew beef is amazing as well as the chicken satay and crispy wontons. Pretty sure anything you order here is going to be super tasty. Great space high quality Thai food

My partner and I arrived very close to closing time and they kindly agreed to still serve us dinner, welcoming us with a big smile. The food was amazing and very tasty. The host gave an amazing service even though it was late, had not finished eating and the kitchen staff was all gone. Very nice place, very clean and cute. Represent well the beautiful small town of Chemainus. I would 100% recommend it.

First and foremost, the customer service is excellent! Its so nice to see someone with such a great smile that you can even hear it on the phone. We ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken, coconut soup with chicken and phad thai with beef and no sauce. We got peanut sauce on the side (mix it together for an amazing peanut dish!) Thanks for bringing real Thai food to the valley!

We had the yellow curry with chicken & the beef cashew nut (pictured) and both were top notch. We came in pretty late so the chicken satay was sold out...I assume that speaks to how good it is! We look forward to coming back and trying other dishes. PS: should also mention the very friendly service!

Consistently amazing food every time we order! They are always so friendly and welcoming and it is a joy every time we stop in! Best pad Thai ever - perfectly saucy and the most delicious smokey flavor from the wok.

Called from the ferry to see if they could prepare an order in under 15 minutes. They could and did so. I ordered the Pinto Fried Rice. It absolutely delicious with such unusual spices and seasonings. I asked for gluten free and they recommended this dish. Its a luxury and a relief to receive such great service!

Thai Pinto planned and prepared the menu for my birthday in May. We had 8 guests and could not have the party at the restaurant but were able to pick up the order. Everything was ready, hot and delicious. As usual , so fresh. Thank you for making my birthday dinner so effortless and special.

This is hands-down the BEST Thai place I ve been to - everything I tried was absolutely delicious, particularly the Tom Yum soup, the Tom Gha soup, the Green Curry, and the Pad Thai. Every time I pass by Chemainus I will stop here to get a bowl of Tom Yum soup - it s the best I ve ever had. Just thinking about it I m craving it again. I 1000% recommend this place!

This is foodie heaven! Ive been coming here for pad thai, and lately northern style curry noodle for a change. Art (the owner) and the chef and wife team are wonderful people. This is the only place I would visit to satisfy my Thai food cravings.

I was impressed with the kind nature of the owner and the superior quality of the food and I/we wish him, his family, and his business great success!

We went to Thai Pinto for dinner today. The food was spectacular and we really enjoyed every part of the meal that was recommended to us. I strongly suggest visiting this place if you have the chance. Amazing food!

I was disappointed with the food. Prices were higher than expected as the online menu has not been updated in a while (no fault of theirs) but the food tasted more like cheap Chinese food than authentic Thai. Was expecting higher quality for spending almost 50 dollars on 2 entrees and an appy. In particular the chicken satay appy was extremely disappointing - 2 tiny pieces of rubbery chicken with peanut sauce and ruffles chips of all things.
