The lunches are excellent, the waiters are competent, but there are always a lot of waits, too many people. (Which also means that the restaurant is working really well, which is positive in itself)

Arrivé seul, la personne prend mon nom et la met sur une liste dattente. Elle fait passer 4-5 groupes qui sont arrivés après moi. La liste dattente semble inutile puisquon prend les groupes de 2,3, 4 personnes avant une personne seule. La ligne sallongeait et encore on les fait passer avant moi. Jai laissé tomber et je suis parti. Je ne crois pas y retourner.

Very bad experience. My partner doesnt eat pork, we chose this restaurant because they serve turkey bacon. We order, the waitress tells us that they no longer serve turkey bacon (yet it is on the menu). We ask if there are other options. She tells us there is turkey breast, but is it EXTRA??? Completely ridiculous. Finally, he receives his plate with sausages and pork bacon. The plate had to be returned to the kitchen. My sister drops her glass of orange juice 2 minutes after receiving it. She asks for another orange juice from the waitress who tells her that she has to PAY if she wants another one?? It wasnt even freshly squeezed orange juice, it was regular juice... This is the last time we go to this restaurant chain. Very disappointed with the policies and the way customers are viewed.

There were 12 of us without reservations, we barely waited 2 minutes even though the restaurant was full. Our waitress Mélanie was undoubtedly the best waitress ever. In short, excellent service, excellent food in large quantities, I recommend it.

The meal was excellent, I have nothing to complain about. On the other hand, me and the people who accompanied me are students, so we sometimes dont have the luxury of leaving a lot of tips. When paying, I chose the option of putting a cash amount to give and the waitress, who only saw us twice in the hour and a half we were there, checked in and paid , monitored how much we were going to give him. When I gave less than 15% on the first option, she immediately argued that the minimum was 15% if she had given good service and when we pointed out to her that we couldnt all do that. allow it, she persisted, saying that she too had been a student and that we just had to not treat ourselves to a big plate or go to a restaurant if we couldnt pay at least 15%. Honestly, I dont think that having seen us twice without worrying about us in between was worth a 15% and its not his place to judge us for the way we do our budgets, including at restaurant. Very disappointed today.

Le burger est vraiment délicieux meilleur que bien dautres resto. La poutine est vraiment excellente aussi.Un super bon service même lorsque le restaurant est plein. La serveuse ma apporté un verre deau avant même que je lui demande. Plusieurs refil de café sont offert. Ils donnent maintenant loption de ne pas prendre le pain avec la poêlé pour éviter le gaspillage.

Hello, I went to lunch at Ben et Florentine in Chicoutimi and the food was delicious. What was even more incredible was our waitress LUBA! A big smile, coffee always full and exceptional kindness. We will come back for sure and I hope it will be the same waitress

Very good lunch on the other hand they dont know how to make espresso coffee its a shame Ive told them several times they should change their machine! The espresso coffee at McDonalds or Tim Hortons is much better!

Extremely disappointing in terms of reception. So we left to go to another restaurant. We entered through the outside door and no one was there to greet us, we waited and noticed that there was a line on the mall side, so we asked the customer in front of us if we should queue at this place, since it seemed to have no host and the guest told us yes. So we got behind the line and waited until we were next. So we were able to see in the meantime that there were indeed guests, but no one came to see us in line. When it was our turn, we saw the hostess, who was calling people behind us. Which seemed strange to us. So I stopped him to ask him if he should give us our name. She said yes but we had to enter from the outside which I told her we had done and we explained the situation. So I asked for her to take our name and if the wait would be long, as we had been waiting for 30 minutes or more already. She said no, it was quick, but I saw that she put our name at the end of the list. When she came back to call other customers, she looked at me and continued to call the customers behind us who had a shorter wait. In addition, during a previous visit a waitress had forgotten to punch my order and that of my friend which meant that we waited an abnormally long time. I really liked going to Ben and Florentine for lunch with friends, its the restaurant that I always suggested, because I really like the menu, but its clear that it will no longer be one of my first choices and that I will encourage my friends to go elsewhere. I went there last Sunday, unfortunately I didnt have time to review it before today.

Very Very Disappointing Experience!!! As soon as we arrived, the welcome was prompt and we felt the stress of the employee who was not able to offer us a warm atmosphere as we had previously experienced. Once seated, a waitress quickly came to see us and gave us the menus and asked for drinks. We placed our order quite quickly and chose the cassolettes. 15 minutes later, a refill of coffee passed by our table. 30 minutes later, another refill of coffee, but without telling us anything about our order which seemed to take a long time to receive. Another 15 minutes later, everyone else around us who had arrived at the same time was either already served or had finished and paid. We signaled to our assigned waitress and asked her why it was taking so long, and to tell us that its a long time in the kitchen and nothing more. A few minutes later, she came back to tell us that she hadnt placed our order and that she was sorry. My partner expressed his disappointment and we left after more than an hour of waiting without having eaten. We finally went to Coco Frutti where the service and the meal were perfect! Too bad, but I wont go to this restaurant again.

I have never seen an owner so contemptuous of customers!!! We even told him we were going to leave and he asked us if they were threats!! Frankly a big zero for professionalism!! It was our last visit

Great service from Mélanie V this morning. This lady is the best ambassador of the region. Obviously she should be a national trainer for Ben&Florentine. She is simply in a class of her own. Efficient, friendly, an incredible person. I cant remember having better service in a long, long time.

Friendly staff, but we were really disappointed by the wait for our dishes. We understand that with the labor shortage and Sunday traffic the wait can be longer, but waiting an hour for two traditional lunches is quite disappointing. We will think twice before going back.

The person tells us that the waiting time is short. After letting several people go before us, even though we had arrived before, we asked and he told us that they had crossed out our name. We often go to another city but our first vacation was in Chicoutimi and we will try elsewhere, even at home.

My partner and I love going to the B&F on the weekends. The lunches are delicious and the plates are generous. However, every time we go there (yes yes, every time without exception), we are placed at a table and once we are seated with our coffee, we are asked to move, because there is a group of several people and therefore they have to glue tables. Often we find ourselves at another table which has also been so stuck with the customers next door that it is a little awkward. It is therefore to say that the restaurant is a victim of its success (good for them), but the fact that they want to bring in too many people and particularly groups to the detriment of the comfort of the less paying customers being two , they also reduce the quality of service. They take too many people for the amount of server and tables. So, we wait a very long time after the bill even if we asked for it in advance or we rarely have coffee refills. Its still our favorite place for lunch, but now we know when we leave that were going to be moved tables :p

I had a great experience with my two best friends. The waitress Amélia gave us an experience and service like we had never seen, we who are used to traveling and having lunch in this kind of place. I recommend it to anyone who likes good food, not very healthy but good nonetheless Price levels with $90 (20% tip included ) we fed 2 men of 280lbs and one of 220lbs so really inexpensive.

One more restaurant that is deteriorating :( The service is no longer what it once was. Just ready to take the order (with a long delay). The waitress literally threw us two sugars, two milks and a jam (for two people) before running off! When I have the audacity after 15 minutes to ask for a refill of coffee, a choice of jam or sucralose, I get the worst look of hatred! Lets talk about food now, we had two maple casseroles. I regret. Between pieces of limp bacon (lack of cooking), the lumps (see photo) of poorly cut pepper and the toast (I should say the uncooked and limp bread), we didnt even finish the plate. The waitresses rush to throw us the bill to kick us out and move on to the next one.

I wanted to change just one ingredient on a plate (instead of bread, I wanted a crepe with bananas, strawberries and chocolate), something that is normally done in other Ben & Florentine restaurants and for free. She didnt give me any options (not even an extra charge) because thats forbidden to do and other restaurants shouldnt do it either (words from the waitress in an authoritarian tone). I had to change options even though I came just for this plate. Really disappointed

Flipping a table in 1 hour 10 minutes, without being notified when you arrive, is disrespectful. We were completely kicked out.

Really very very disappointing service. First of all, the waitress asks us if we want a coffee or not. Then she tells us she will be back in a minute to take our order. After 45 seconds, she comes back and we tell her that we havent yet chosen what we will eat. She looks up at the ceiling in impatience, then leaves and comes back after 3 to 5 minutes. We submit our menu choice to him. No refills in our coffee cups, we have to let him know. She notices that one of us has finished and boom, the plate is gone. My friend almost has no time to swallow her last mouthful and the same ploy happens. She comes back with the bills and you have to pay them immediately. The height of rudeness is that she asks us to leave the premises immediately, because other people are waiting at the door and they are hungry like us. This restaurant is over for me and I really don t recommend it . If this is the type of service that the owners are recommending, then close the door, because your approach is truly poor.

Not recommended for outing with a baby. The high chairs do not have a shelf so the baby has to eat on the table and when I washed the table myself I saw that it was very dirty. The service is also very average. We feel the rush to serve one customer after another very quickly even though it was almost empty. In short, for a meal in a hurry before going to the shopping center it must be good but not family friendly. Well go somewhere else next time.
