Entre-Côte Riverin in Chicoutimi

The menu change is very disappointing. The price remains the same but for lower quality food.. cold meal.. overcooked.. I booked in September for our Christmas dinner and I asked for a private room which was indeed given to me confirmed but when we got there we were in the dining room and no one informed me or offered another option. Last visit for us..

Extremely long! No service for our server. More than an hour and 20 minutes of waiting for dinner

Wow! The service was great! What can we say about the delicious new menu (foie gras), everything was good! I havent been there for years, I was often disappointed too much. But today its a rediscovery for me and I cant wait to go back soon to try other delicious dishes. .

Beef and grill are supposed to be their specialty... I ordered a medium-rare meat, and I received a very ordinary blue steak, with no taste of grill, no trace of grill... it didnt taste much . I felt like I was being served frozen food. My steaks that I make on my bbq beat them hands down... seriously for the price we pay its very disappointing... it was my first time and my last... if you are Grill lovers, go elsewhere...

Cold potatoes and vegetables are really not good too! As for the piece of meat, it wasnt cooked as I asked for it was rare and cold.... No more Riverin entrecôte in Chicoutimi for me!

It wasnt bad, but I admit that for the price it was disappointing. The Google menu is no longer up to date at all... Its a shame several dishes seemed very interesting. I had the signature burger which was good and my partner had the poutine with 3 pieces of flank steak (the only one on the menu) and it was disappointing in terms of size, taste and price.

Attention new menu! We are restaurant lovers. Unfortunately, we have just discovered the new menu. It is important to understand that there is no side dish on the plate. The meat comes alone, with a few vegetables. The rest is extra. Prices are high for the plate. Unfortunately we will not be returning there. The service was appreciated, the staff was not to blame.

The reservation was at 7 p.m.; the starter service was relatively quick, but the main course arrived at 9:45 p.m. and it was cold. We had to leave at 10:20 p.m. as the restaurant closed. The new menu really disappointed me. Overcooked flank steak with very few accompaniments included on the plate (we had to pay extra to have fries, for example). The plate of salmon was very small and although the menu indicated that it would be accompanied by asparagus there was only one very hard branch of asparagus (without the head and impossible to eat).

Too bad new lunch menu Friday 08-16-2024 service without service, we had no choice to leave without coffee and dessert. The salmon plate looks like a childs portion with 3 asparagus, too bad!

We ordered a childs burger and an adults burger with poutine. The adult burger was decent and the poutine was so-so. Never order the absolutely horrible childrens burger in takeout compared to the adult burger. Inedible salad not good soft and burnt bread no condiment beef patty so cooked dry hard just tastes burnt. Its just shameful to serve this to a child straight in the trash.

The steak was super thin compared to everywhere else where I have eaten a ribsteak... cold and no taste.. for a plate at $62 very disappointed there were 3 of us and we were all disappointed.. far from being our first time in a steakhouse and were not picky. Thanks to the waitress for the discount on the bill but we really cant recommend it.. I have been more than ten times to the Keg and/or Baton Rouge for example which has comparative prices and we are never disappointed .. it was a very far experience for even more expensive prices. I have a hard time believing that my steak was 14oz, it really wasnt thick enough and poorly grilled.. I always get rare and its never like that

Super nice restaurant/bring your own wine downtown, well divided and well decorated. Good service. Simplistic menu but thats good because the restaurant does not distort itself by offering too wide a choice that could stray from the steak house style. Its not the best of its kind in town but its a very nice option with good taste and a fair price. The presentation of the dishes is the biggest weak point in my opinion. Im not a fan of food that overflows the plates... I would have added one if the presentation would have been more careful. I recommend it! (Please feel free to if you found these comments useful. My spouse and I had our first experience to eat here on Tuesday, and because we loved everything we had to come back today (Thursday) before heading back to Montréal. Too bad for us that we dont have Lentre-cote Riverin in Montréal.

Hello! 2 things I didnt like...the rice which was very dry and tasteless...and the uncooked vegetables.but the salmon was delicious.

Our server who I forgot his name was really but REALLY great!!!!!!! I have never had such good service and whats more it was a very busy evening! The food was also excellent. However the soup portions should be bigger :) thank you very much! Dietary restrictions: I am diabetic and appreciated the options I didnt feel limited

Children are not welcome in this restaurant and the restaurant manager made it clear to me, the bill already on the table and the plates are not even finished. The restaurant has lost quite a bit over the past 3 years

It was simply delicious! Incredible Forestier chicken and they serve 12oz sirloin! Sadly, I took about 45 minutes to taste it because it was so good! Bring your own wine too! I obviously recommend! Falling for something !

The dishes were delicious. The desserts are truly exquisite. Weak point on the air conditioning which is too strong and on the general noise in the restaurant which can be really disturbing. Remember to bring your alcohol.

I find that the menu choice lacks a little variety. But the food is good, the price is right, the staff pleasant. On the other hand, it is very advantageous to have this quality with the bring your own wine formula. There are good non-alcoholic options on site.

We went in a group of 10. They put 4 tables in a row to put 5 people on each side, which makes 4/5th of a table per person. Its not comfortable, especially for those who are in front of a place made from two pieces of table. Everyone was cramped and had difficulty eating. My steak was cold as were the two tablespoons of sauce and the mini mini julienne fries about half of those at McDonalds, which I dont like at all.

Friday Dec 1st 23 for dinner... There were 2 of us....I paid $52 for a 12 oz sirloin steak...rare. What I received was a well done steak that must have only weighed about 7-8 oz...1/2 inch thick and full of fat that I couldnt eat...The potatoes in the oven not available, I end up with a handful of frozen fries smaller than a McDonalds fries. Small clump of salad not to choke on, and you would have had to pay an extra $3 to have some vegetables...I found my plate very ordinary for an exorbitant price. Luckily I brought my wine, thats what made my experience and my friends company a success. I dont expect anything other than the same copy pasted excuse that we see on the other reviews... It seems like our opinions count but it seems more like it was answered by a robot.. .

A lot of waiting but very disappointed the flank steak was by far the worst I have eaten not to mention the pepper sauce... and the baked potato which is soaked in water honestly very disappointing I wont be returning unfortunately. We have great service which saved the evening.

Good food, great service. Mid-range pricing makes this a great choice for budget-conscious family dinners.

Meals served almost cold. The meat was cooked as requested. On the other hand, the baked potato clearly lacked cooking time. The service is perfect; respectful and cordial. The restaurant is ripping off all customers by adding the tip after taxes when it should be added before taxes.

We are very disappointed with our experience in this restaurant. Its a shame to have such good meats and not know how to sear them. The salmon was good, the accompaniments completely undercut the dish (rice and industrial vegetables, I know how to recognize fresh vegetables). To conclude, an excessively high price, as well as expeditious service. We do not recommend.

Almost raw meat.. very dry rice.. no vegetables on the plates.. seriously for the price paid.. not even worth the detour.. one of the worst against fillets.. tasted.. dsl but I cannot recommend it. .

We went to pick up our meal (burger, popcorn shrimp, fries and sugar tart...SUCCULENT!!!) to bring to the hotel due to covid. The meal was prepared at the last minute to keep it hot. It was an excellent meal!!! Thanks to Sébastien and his team!

Disappointed.... We were placed near the exit from the kitchen... I asked before being seated to be changed and we therefore did not want to be disturbed throughout the meal by the coming and going while the requested place always remained available...filet mignon too rare and readjusted but overcooked!! For the price paid too disappointed...

Saturday July 10 7:00 p.m. Ordinary! I took the 5oz Bavette + 1 shrimp skewer for $36 and both were very lacking in seasoning. Quite disappointing. I have eaten flank steaks for the same price that were much better elsewhere. On the other hand, my girlfriend had the beef Poutine and she really liked it. Not the best poutine, but she enjoyed it. However, the service was good. The waitress was nice and we were served quickly, hence the 3/5 stars.

Excellent service from ALL employees; at reception, at the tables, everywhere. The restaurant was overflowing with people, but we never felt it. All the employees helped each other and always with a smile. Truly amazing service. And the food is good!!!!

We ate very well. Our server was pleasant and above all competent. We were served quickly. The price is similar to other restaurants of this type. For a starter of popcorn shrimp, a flank steak and a rib-eye steak we paid $102.33 with taxes, without tip.

The service is fast and very courteous, the food is really delicious. I really recommend!

Poutine Wednesday is

Me and my family went there about a month ago. We ordered 5 Australian wagyu steaks. Each cooked medium rare. They all arrived baking almost blue. Not to mention that they were almost impossible to cut with a knife because they were so twitchy . You are better off buying 3A or even regular steak from Costco than paying $120 for that!! Out of 5 wagyu steaks ordered, 5 remained on the plates. We therefore asked for a 50% discount, believing that these steaks were not even worth a $20 French steak. Our server (excellent service on his part) referred us to his manager. This one arrived at the table and started to tell us that we dont know what wagyu steaks are and was very arrogant. She believes she cannot give us a discount other than 15% mentioning that we ate a little from our plate.... we had to taste it to know that it was not a good steak and that it clearly deserved no one has the title of wagyu. Anyway, after the manager started to raise her voice by pretending that we were ignorant about steaks and restaurants in general, I also raised mine too. She leaves never to return and send our good waiter to take care of her problems. Thanks to him who gave us the 50% understanding 100% why. A wagyu should be excellence... fall apart with a fork! And there it was a poorly cooked boot steak. This manager has no place in the restaurant business. I have never been spoken to in this way in any restaurant across Quebec. Especially not when customers are willing to spend around $1000. This was the 3rd time Ive been to this restaurant and Ill never go there again. Disappointment the other 2 previous times too. I will never go back there again!!

While passing through Chicoutimi we had dinner at Entre Cote Riverin Chicoutimi, what a good meal, although the restaurant was very busy, the service was quite fast and what can we say about the food, beef and short ribs, what a delight, thanks to our server Daniel.

Very disappointed with the takeout format for the tartares, for $25 (per portion), 4 pieces of rolls, tartare without spices or taste. I ordered 2 salmon and beef tartades, all of them were bland. The most incredible thing is that there were no accompaniments with the meals. I contacted the restaurant, they told me quite quickly that they did not provide takeout support. I do not recommend takeout at this restaurant.

We had beef tartare (2) and a flank steak for $170 plus tax. The 2 tartares were by far the worst we ate (we are fans of tartare) what a disappointment... Terrible, without the taste and texture of minced steak. Bib equally disappointing. However, the waitress Olga was very friendly with excellent service! Hoping the chef changes his recipe...sorry thats it for us!

Impeccable service, my 14 oz strip fillet was cooked to perfection. There is an SAQ 3 minutes walk away which is very practical for a bring your own wine It also offers a Sangria mix, in short bring your bottle and they have everything you are missing. Im passing through the region but I would return without hesitation!

Summary: Damaged and dangerous dishes, poorly cleaned table, cold service, meat on poutine still frozen, manager completely disrespectful and careless towards his customers First time at Entre-Côte Riverin and the last. One of the WORST services I have received in my entire life. Firstly, we were greeted curtly, placed at the table and waiting for a waitress for 10 minutes. (I would like to point out that at the time the restaurant was almost empty). So we order poutines, because its poutine day, despite the excessively expensive price even with the current discount. The water that was served to us was given to us in damaged glasses. The bowl of soup that I had as a starter was also damaged on the sharp edge. Its when eating that our experience becomes worse. After waiting more than 35 minutes. We start to eat (the portions were ridiculously small for the price), then my partner notices that the meat on her poutine is cold... The waitress says that there is no problem and that she will make it again. No problem? The problem is the wait of another twenty minutes that follows. My poutine which was cooling while waiting for the other one. Finally, the poutine arrives. To make matters worse, it is not cold, the meat is still frozen. We call back the annoyed waitress who goes to the back. It is the manager himself who comes to the table to ask what the problem is, we want him to touch the meat to see that we are not exaggerating, and with disdain the manager puts his finger there for 0.01 seconds and said, I quote: this is the last time Ill do it again. Pointing. I request a refund immediately and paid for what we ATE. And the icing on the cake, he dares to charge me the full price of my poutine which I had to leave aside and only took a bite, without any accommodation or apology. Never again.

By far the worst customer service I have received in my life, from a waitress named Olga. She uncorks my bottle of wine and doesnt serve me as a cup. After 20 minutes, I asked the employee who serves the tables to bring me a cup given that the waitress never came back to see us. She brings me one and at no point apologizes for forgetting it. She doesnt actually say a single word to me. I order a tuna tartare for dinner and receive a salmon tartare. As we waited a very long time to receive our main courses, I was starving and the waitress didnt seem about to come back to see us, I ended up eating the tartare that I didnt order. When I inform the waitress of her mistake, I am not entitled to any apology from her. She just tells me that it doesnt change anything, because the price is the same for both tartares. I tell her that I understand, but that there was still a mistake in my order, to which she replies with an extremely condescending air: But you ate it anyway, right? So was it edible? I can t give it to you for free since that would mean paying for it myself. Note that the restaurant was far from crowded at that time. I can understand that to err is human, but there are still limits to what we can accept as a customer. Even the friend who accompanied me was speechless at the waitresss attitude. In short, I do not recommend this restaurant which, in my opinion, has lost a lot over the years in terms of customer service. Its a shame, because it was a restaurant that I particularly liked due to its atmosphere and the BYOB concept that is found in very few places in Chicoutimi. After my bad experience this evening, it is certain that I will not set foot there again.

Very welcoming staff, warm and with excellent services. Very garnished plates. There were three of us and we each enjoyed our dishes very much. Salmon fillet, strip loin and filet mignon. The garnished baked potatoes are delicious and the vegetable side dishes are generous and varied, cooked to perfection. In short, excellent restaurant.

An excellent meal, we are really delighted with the quality of the dishes served. A-1 service from a server who knows the dishes well. A bring your own wine to visit without fail. $120 for 2 without starter or dessert but we are delighted!
