Amazing experience with seat at the bar counter! Florence was able to advise us well on the wine and the menu. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed!! Everything was absolutely delicious and the kitchen even agreed to adapt the dishes to the intolerances of the members of the table. Positive points: the food is mostly excellent, quality, hot and original. The service was perfect, the waitress very friendly and the waiting time adapted to the type of experience. The cocktails are qualitative and the mixologist really listens to our tastes. It s a great place to try new things without it being over the top in terms of gastronomy. The duck drumsticks are absolutely delicious, worth trying! Foie gras as a starter too. Weak points: the bread that came with the starters was not fresh. Then it was very noisy the first time I went, but the second time it was better. Then, the dessert was average. In fact, the texture of the chocolate mousse was sandy. Also, I didnt like the salmon tartare. It was very very bland unfortunately. Last point, for such an expensive restaurant, we would have liked a little flexibility given the fact that my partner doesnt like coffee. There was a filter coffee included in the 7-course dinner. However, the waitress did not want to offer him anything else like a small glass of milk, hot chocolate, etc. *These are really comments based on the fact that this is a $115 per person dinner (with only one cocktail), so yes, the little details are important. This remains an excellent restaurant to eat well in Saguenay. I recommend!

Excellent dining experience at Assorti. The welcome was also excellent. We ate on the side terrace, which was very pleasant given the mildness of the evening. As a starter, we enjoyed the Scallop Nage flambéed with Pernaud, and as a main course, the two tartars (Italian beef and Thai salmon) were also excellent. The restaurant was recommended to us by our host and the recommendation was excellent.

Rather slow service in taking our order initially. And our starter (foie gras) which took 40 minutes to arrive. On the other hand, the dishes followed within a good time frame. For a duo of game announced, we saw quail and duck arrive. Certainly well cooked but not what was hoped for... a nice suggestion of wine, but without announcing the price during the presentation and which was still expensive. Overall, a quality-price ratio that is not up to par.

Impeccable food and service! Unfortunately our dinner was ruined by the chef (who is also the owner from what I understand). The waiter made a mistake in our order, so the chef poorly prepared my partners order (deer flank steak topped with béarnaise sauce instead of 3 pepper sauce). My partner hates béarnaise sauce. The chef categorically refused to make him a flank steak with the right sauce. Result ; two customers who leave extremely disappointed with the attitude of the chef and their experience in this establishment. It s a shame, it wasn t our first visit but it will most likely be the last! I should point out that we still got a discount on our bill, but when you pay for a $300 meal, you want to eat what you ordered.

I am very disappointed. Excellent food, but the service really needs to be reviewed. Stupid waitress, not smiling. Waitress not asking if we would like to have another drink. 3h30 for a drink, a starter and a meal, I find that very long.

This gourmet restaurant is exceptional. Ive been going to this place for five years, and the quality is consistently there. Although I do not live in Chicoutimi and have had the opportunity to visit many establishments, this is among the best I have experienced. Each dish served is delicious. Congratulations on this consistency of excellence!

Its rare that I review a restaurant but this one deserves the truth. I had heard a lot about this restaurant, saying that the tartare served was very good. Me and my partner went for her birthday. She took the 7 course and I chose a starter of pan-fried foie gras on a waffle, for the main meal I chose a duo of classic beef tartare and Italian bison. Everything went very well in the early evening, until my main meal arrived. I am a regular at tartare and I can assure you that my beef tartare tasted like it was in the fridge. I ate it the same, I was so hungry after all. But afterwards I was sick during the night, the next day and for almost 2 days. In short, I am certain that they kept their tartare in the fridge, that it was not fresh and that I was food poisoned. Especially since tartare must be fresh, still a little red (instead of white pink) and not tasting in the fridge. Positive point: - The decor is beautiful - My waitress served me well - All dishes were executed correctly Negative point - Lack of space - The sommelier was rude to us by refusing to let us leave with our dessert that we paid for (for a $370 dinner its very ordinary). - The food was not worth the cost, nor the price of the wine for that matter. - My food was not fresh. Conclusion: For an equivalent price, you will eat better in restaurants like La cuisine and Bistro D on the same street. This was my first and last time I will visit this restaurant.

As you know I am taller and larger than the average bear. I had been told about a restaurant that would give me full value for my money and then some. Never warn you it would be better to reserve a day in advance considering that the restaurant is full for my part I did like the French and I had dinner around 8 p.m. The staff is super courteous, my waitress with lots of Josette, the place is conducive to discussions with friends. The menu as shown in the photos Definitely worth the detour there are too many choices not to come back to excite your taste buds. The choice of accompaniment In liquid form is very interesting also for my part I let myself be tempted by a 1970 Armagnac. So a summary You have to try this restaurant to fully appreciate it you have to return several times at least to taste all the dishes . AND if you meet the little guitar player say hello for me. He sings Aznavour brilliantly

Amazing dinner for my boyfriends party!! Impeccable food and service, perfect ambiance and decor. We brought a celebratory cake and they provided the candles, the waiter served the cake himself. Well located in the city center, LAssorti offers a wide variety of dishes, an excellent choice of microbrewery beers and wines. Bistro style, dim lights, a little noisy, impeccable service. The portions are generous. A successful first visit, next time Ill share the starter and Im not sure Ill have a dessert which is just ok. A place of choice for a good moment of relaxation. We will return with pleasure.
