50 years of poutine and fast food

The photos say it all. Attitude of student staff Changed job if you are to spoil my lunch. I could have eaten elsewhere. Brief. Look, Ive never had to eat a hot dog with a fork and knife.

Small fast food restaurant, unpretentious, with small juke boxes at each table. Youd think you were in the USA...

The perfect place for an authentic retro potato shack experience! Very good prices and atmosphere. Everything is there, from the chrome benches at the bar, to the metallic-effect leatherette benches. The jukeboxes at the tables are functional! The fries are perfectly crispy on the outside, with a nice taste of tender potato on the inside On the other hand, not a lot of parking spaces or indoor seating. We had to park on the nearest street corner.

I dont think the restaurant has changed a bit since I was born. Small potato shack with a retro atmosphere with good prices and good, fatty poutine. I advise you to try the cheese on the plate if your cholesterol level allows it. :)

That changed the prices a lot, its dear little poutine $8.25 I bought 2 hamburgers 2 cheese 2 small poutines $46 and the cheeses are cheese hamburgers put with the actors.

Portion really too small no cheese on the poutine or very little fried potatoes not cooked and very expensive

The owner was very kind to us, extremely courteous. The little hot dogs on the mark a good glizzy in the mouth yum yum! The little homemade fries are very good. The only negative point was the BBQ sauce which tasted more like brown sauce. More Ketchup in it and well have something ! Next time we come with my sweetheart we are going to try the famous CANADIAN CHEESE MELTED ON THE PLATE !

I have been frequenting this legendary snack bar since 1972. Vintage atmosphere. Improved menu. But I still find the hotdogs and greasy fries of my childhood there.

$10 for a poutine. We are told that it is cheaper than elsewhere (cheaper for park accommodation, great fries, etc.). The problem is the taste! The fries are undercooked, they roll in your mouth! I grew up in Chicoutimi-Nord and the poutine was excellent, I dont know what happened since but since I came back to live in Saguenay in 2022, the quality of the food is mediocre, which is unacceptable with the price we pay! The good potato should be renamed only The potato because we cannot say that it is good unfortunately. If I could I would give 0 but I can give at least 1 star so here it is.

À première vue, de lextérieur, javais plus ou moins envie dy aller mais jai été très surprise. Nous avons mangé des frites seules qui étaient excellentes et cuites à point. Nous avons aussi goûté à la poutine qui était très bonne. Le mélange des 2 sauces (hot chicken et BBQ) donne un goût parfait. Et les prix sont vraiment abordables!

The sauce tastes like water the fries are not cooked enough they are white cold hamburger cheese not melted hot dog people dont even talk..... first and last time to avoid

Quite expensive for fast food

When you order with skip, you are entitled to a bonus on the purchase of $15 and up. I checked the box to receive it and even marked it on the invoice. Well I didnt receive anything, what a scam. A promotion not respected. At least the poutine was excellent.

Passed here for dinner during the holidays and once there there were quite a few people we ordered at the cash register when we arrived hot dog and poutine and we sat down when it was ready the lady called us we picked up the roof and we enjoy the poutine here is really really excellent so we can just go back mmmmmmm!!!!

Since skip is in the picture, things arent going well anymore. 25 minutes for a poutine and two hot dogs... The food is still OK, but the service needs to be reviewed. Maybe give priority to orders from customers present rather than skip orders?

Im leaving 3 stars to give it a chance because Ive loved this restaurant for several years but the wait is crazy and I was given hard and dry burgers which stayed on the plate for a very long time :/ very disappointed with my last experience.

I admit that I really didnt like the poutine they served me this evening. The fries were hard, as if they had been reheated. The brown sauce smelled and tasted like the bottom of a dated can.

Usually I dont have the habit of complaining but this has happened 3 times so here are the fries from our barely cooked poutine, sauce tasted absolutely nothing like the canned one, 4 cheese turds on top. My partner didnt even eat his, his heart was racing...
