It was decent sushi at an okay price, we order a party platter since we like to have the leftovers for lunch the following day but we're disappointed in the tray size, typically party trays at sushi shops are packed full but this one felt lacking in quantity.
I'm very surprised at the overall reviews this restaurant has. We have come here a few times already and the food is always great, plus we always get amazing service and have a blast. We we're 5 last night and every single one of our plates was delicious, from the tartar, to the shrimp, to the pizza sushi, and a special shout out to the Tom Yum soup, we even took an extra one to go. Our waitress Betty was hilarious and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time.
If you are a local this is probably one of the better spots. However for sushi amateurs, stay away no matter how deep your craving is. We ordered two maki and two futomaki, 31$ and 22 minutes to get our order. Regardless, we are here for the experience and boy was it an experience. A disappointing one that is. Let’s play where is the avocado in my avocado maki or even where is the crab in the crab futomaki. In general, freshness was not what we are used to or expected. Why are my sushi squished? Can you make zero stars an option? I feel ripped off…

A must for anyone wanting some good seafood! The pot en pot is a seafood pot pie, and it had nice big chunks of meat. Same with the seafood Alfredo pasta. The kids both got salmon, and they gobbled it up. For dessert we got a slice of the chocolate cake, which was good but not necessarily the best I have had.
Table d'hôte. Le repqs était délicieux. My sister and I loved the meal and overall experience with beyond friendly staff.
The food was absolutely amazing. The flavor was perfect and full. The presentation was beautiful. I was very pleased with the service and variety of foods to choose from. (Written by my 13 y/o daughter) My daughter said she would give this 10 stars:) She is a vegetarian and it’s hard to find a restaurant that works well for her here. She was thrilled!

Extremely slow service, we waited 30 minutes or more before the waitress came to take our order and on top of that, I had to ask another waitress if it was possible to order. We were there for 2 hours eating a simple poke bowl. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. The waiting time for the bill also took 20 minutes, I can tell you that I couldnt wait to leave and that we wont be going back.
So good, courteous staff. Affordable too. Go there, you wont be disappointed.

The quality has greatly declined over the last 3-4 years. And I admit to being very, very surprised by the positive reviews here! Having visited the sushi restaurants in Saguenay and several in Quebec, I find it absolutely unacceptable to see prices increase and the quantities of fish greatly reduced. This is the worst sushi restaurant in my opinion of what I have tried I used to really like Aki, but now there is barely any fish (see the photos where it is tuna sushi at $14 for 5 pieces, and where tuna is almost absent). Also, the majority of sushi is filled with old tempura/fried wonton, as seen in my photos. Its so ordinary. We also had salmon sushi and the quantities were ridiculous (paper-thin slices). The service is also very poor: the hostess really stupid, no smile. The waitress is very uncomprehending and reactive when I point out my comment about the quantity of fish, being careful to be polite and gentle, because I know its not her fault... The atmosphere is average, there is a lack of light and the seats are not very comfortable. Unfortunately, I dont have many positives for this restaurant.

SCAM!!! EXECRABLE!!! We ordered with the menu on their website an order for 7:00 p.m. Order which will finally be ready at 7:37 p.m. for a price increased by 64% without counting 2 extras (avocado) which is not in any of the bowls and a bowl only a little less than half filled. If thats not making people laugh... No more Aki!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
There were 38 people for dinner and all the comments were positive about the variety, flavors and atmosphere. We were accompanied by Betty who took great care of us, with a personalized welcome. I went to eat with my son for a mother-son outing. We were impressed by the atmosphere and the quality of service. Very good too!
We ordered 2 poke bold with two salmon in each dish there was salad a little quinoa 2 slices of cucumbers 4 or 5 soy beans and barely 15 grams of salmon Its totally exaggerated at $20 per person.

I didnt give the atmosphere a high rating since we were in a small private room which is good except that we are seated on a wooden bench with a mini cushion and no backrest which quickly becomes very uncomfortable . The service was great. The food was okay but nothing more. Not a lot of ginger or wasabi, we have enough for 5 sushi max and we eat the others without these accompaniments.

We really liked the atmosphere of the lounge. However, the lighting needs to be improved (photos taken with a lamp). Our starters were delicious, a tom yum soup of the day and surprise sushi. The main dishes were tasty, especially the chicken pizzaki. I took away a star because the beef in the pad sew was overcooked, the plate didnt look like the photo on the menu and there was a lack of vegetables. The chocolate brownie mousse glasses were excellent. We had very good service from our waitress, as well as the host at the entrance, on Friday evening July 7 at 7:30 p.m. Our reservation had been taken that morning.

Fast food place gets you out of trouble, the service is very pleasant although only one person spoke English, the food is average for a similar place, quite a variety.
The benches were not very comfortable. Back cushions would have been needed. Vegetarian options: The meals offered suit me. I eat fish.
Un plat pour apporter (Pad Thaïe au Boeuf). Une portion normale, 50% des morceaux de boeuf étaient très durs, je nai pu les consommer. Il y avait 4 mini morceaux de brocoli dans le repas. Donc, ne restait que des nouilles assaisonnées. Lassiette ne valait vraiment pas le prix (22.00$ incluant le pourboire) et la qualité nétait pas acceptable.

very small portion for general tao for the price. $52 for 4 imperial rolls, 1 general tao and 1 spring roll. Result ; we are still hungry for our meal, we have not eaten our fill.

My favorite restaurant, the price and quality of the sushi and just wow, not to mention that you can reserve a small lounge to be more peaceful. The salmon tartare is exquisite.

Personnel accueillant. Sushis maintenant immangeables, cest comme manger des céréales tellement il y a du tempura. Les portions de poisson ont diminué du 2/3 depuis quelques années, le tempura prend toute la place. Dommage, cétait très bon il y a quelques années. 70$ pour 4 rouleaux de sushis et 3 petits rouleaux. Pour le même prix jirai maintenant uniquement chez Temaki.
Welcoming staff, a few errors in our order but credited. Pizzaki leaves something to be desired, fish not very tasty, always more salad than other things in the sushi. Price way too high for the quantity/quality.

Honest prices and people. During my last visit, Desjardins was (AGAIN) in trouble. The lady kindly offered to make Interac transfers for us to be able to enjoy our dinner. A big wow. Congratulations on the customer service. Otherwise, the rest of the staff is smiling without being excessive, we can see that they have a nice routine. As for the food, well it s simply the best value for money in this style of fast food for miles around. Parking: Parking is...difficult...Just remember there are also spaces along the boulevard diagonally.
Quality and fresh ingredients. Small downside: I prefer room temperature sushi rather than cold, but thats a personal taste.

The lady in front redid my sushi herself to be sure that there had been no contact with eggs because my son has an allergy with an anaphylactic reaction during the Valentines Day dinner rush. Wow!!!! I have never had such personalized treatment and with such kindness!!!!

They even missed the rice, dont know the difference between pollock and crab. Truly a place from another era with shopping center sushi. If you want to eat well in Chicoutimi on a Friday evening you must make a reservation otherwise you will eat shnoutte.
Some of our dishes were good and others not so much (a Pad Sew with too much too sweet sauce). The service was good and fast and the prices were quite reasonable.

We just ate two dishes: a PAD MAE and a spicy Thai beef stir-fry. Neither dish had any flavor. Very disappointing especially for the price. When a fast food like Thai Express is better overall in terms of taste and cost, that says it all

Sad. Back in the day when it was Aki Sushi it was good. This is really not a sushi destination. Everything is thin. Nigiri have mini pieces of fish. Their tartare is 2/3 a layer of crumble/panko and just a small thickness of tartare. Thai meals are better We were there as a group of 8 and after 2.5 hours we received our meals. Nice atmosphere, I like that we bring our wine.. but quality is 4/10 what it was in the old days

Pleasant atmosphere with tables isolated by 3 walls (perfect during Covid-19), fair prices, copious dishes, excellent service, well located near the shopping centers. Variety of dishes with Asian flavors, but dont expect refined or very original dishes. I really liked this first visit and I would not hesitate to return.
