This is our stop over for fried chicken every year when we go in summer holidays. Its been a tradition for us. Food id great, chicken crunchy and side orders yummy as well.

So my parents went and got chicken tonight and I have never seen the smallest pieces.. there was no flavor and they were dried out.. so very disappointing.. we used to order 8 pieces and had too much now ordered 10 pieces and isnt enough for 3 people.. still hungry.. we have been coming here for years and have never had such horrible chicken.. so sad..

**Update** Ever since the owners went to Asia, the new staff have have just not met the same level of quality and standards previously delivered. Ive been here probably 5 or 6 times since they left, and its been a hassle and a disappointment 5 out of the 6 times. Granted the 1 positive time they had to fix something and seemed to go the extra mile to do so, and it was really good. But since it just isnt there. They seem more annoyed and feel like theyre delivering the same product, when they clearly arent. Look at the reviews!! My most recent order, I even asked them to make sure the chicken wasnt overcooked, and still, it was chewy, overcooked and hard. Honestly such a shame, because Ive been going here for over a year, and you could feel the love that the owners would put into their food. It has been a family favorite, but lately nobody enjoys it, and there isnt a wow factor.... really disappointed Ive had fried chicken all over Metro Vancouver, and this was one of the best!! Everything is REAL chicken, and there doesnt seem to be any fillers at all. I pulled it apart and scanned it, its legit chicken coated and fried. I mean you can tell just by peeling it open... I asked about MSG, and the owner said no msg and no chemical, which to me is massive!! Im so picky with fried chicken, and Id rather come here and eat real chicken without fillers than cheap fillers & chemical msg fried Chicken.... We LOVE the boneless fried chicken. Clearly under new ownership- what was once a family favourite is now a never again - a week ago I went in for a. Chicken sandwich . It was like they just reheated a previously cooked fillet it was super dry and gross the gravy is thinner then before with no flavour and the fry s were undercooked . 2 days ago my wife ordered a family pack ( before I was home from Work and could tell her not too ) before it arrived I said it was going to be garbage and it was . The chicken was super dry ( maybe pre cooked and warmed up when ordered ?) the gravy was flavourless and watery and the fry s were soggy / undercooked. Please take my advise and choose a different place for your chicken .

I went to Johns today usually they are pretty good but today they were a little slow seem like they didnt know what they were doing seems like new owners ? I assume ? They were a little on the crabby side I asked for a 3 piece 2 original and 1 crispy the cook didnt seem to like it anyways we waited like 10-15 mins to get our food first couple bites werent to bad I noticed a stench in the gravy smelt like feet and didnt taste so good we noticed our chicken was a little bigger than usually is I get to my second piece to find blood sweeping out so I poked through the middle to find it was half cooked I went to tell the cashier best they could do was offer a meal back by than I didnt wanna wait and definitely didnt have a appetite after that i felt a lil gross after having a couple bites of the medium rare chicken I dont think Ill go back for my free meal after that, to the response I got like it was ok and wasnt that bad they lost a long time costumer today

I ordered Yuringi and my husband had the 2 piece chicken combo dinner and the chicken was VERY good - NOT greasy at all - really hot and delicious! No processed chicken here! Staff are very friendly. Not sure why it was so quiet as the food is excellent! We will return as it seems to be the only chicken place in town that isn t greasy

Just finished dinner, fried chicken from Johns Fried Chicken. We had both regular and extra crispy with fries, gravy and coleslaw. This is the best fried chicken in Chilliwack, tender and juicy with a great flavourful coating, excellent fries, crispy and golden with smooth rich gravy for dipping. Andrea said the coleslaw was very good as well. There are quite a number of chicken places in Chilliwack, but Johns is my go to place for the best.

SO. CRISPY. Chicken was very well seasoned, and very moist/juicy (even the chicken breast). Wasnt drenched in oil. With the first bite I was impressed. This is what KFC thinks their chicken tastes like. 100% would come again.

I found this place when I was in Chilliwack today & decided to stop in. It happened to be Happy Hour when I went. I ordered the 3 piece random chicken...yes, thats what they call it. The chicken was fantastic!! The owners are super nice & the service was great! Go check this place out if you are in the area.

Everything we ordered were amazing! Their friend chicken is extra crispy and the chicken is very well-seasoned. I also highly recommend ordering coleslaw as a side because it is really fresh and tasty. Goes along with the chicken very well. Their sweet chilli sauces chicken is also one of the must tries. The sauce was tasty and at the same time it felt really healthy. Please give it a go!

Ive been coming here ever since I was a kid. I mainly used to get chicken burgers in the past, but recently my favourite dish would be the boneless sweet chilli chicken. I would highly recommend Johns Fried Chicken.

I got the 2 piece special for 4.49 plus tax for 2 people, there was a lady ahead of me she got her order my order came up next and they put my chicken in a brown paper lunch bag and she got boxes for her chicken order, but mine was in a lunch bag I walked out looking in the bag thinking really no boxes for the chicken and fries like the previous owners used to do. I will definately never return to this place to eat prices went up dramatically from the previous owners as well and to go quality was horrible...

Super expensive for the quality and portions of food . My tenders were soggy and my putine was cold the cheese curdles were little frozen bricks .

Had the Chicken Breast Filet Burger today. Pretty standard chicken sandwich with fresh lettuce and mayo on a nice soft bun. The breading was light and crispy, reminiscent of a Big Crunch from KFC but this burger was bigger by far. Will visit again!

This highly pleasing and cozy restaurant is located in the heart of Chilliwack which seats around 22 people with very nice, clean tables and solid chairs and has an extensive menu for chicken as well as other mouthwatering appetizers, desserts, and entree s. The service is top like no other, with around 3 servers who are very polite, amiable, lovely, and efficient with cleaning up and sanitizing with COVID protocols. I came all the way from Coquitlam to eat this very tender, delicious, and, succulent chicken and other dishes. I sincerely hope that this store would magically move to Coquitlam as it is the best. I repeat, the absolute BEST chicken I have had in my LIFE. As much as the pictures are mouth watering, I have to say, when you first take a bite into the chicken, as well as weather it be crispy, Korean style, a family meal, pop corn chicken, potato wedges, and onion chips. I have to say, these are the best dishes I have had by far; and I ve had a lot of chicken in my 20 years living on this planet. I ve tried a plethora of chicken and this John s Fried Chicken specifically in Chilliwack, is the absolute pinnacle of chicken deliciously. The absolute best chicken menu in my personal opinion is the crispy chicken as it tastes and feels so much more fresh then other competitor companies such as KFC or Churches as those places, the grease feels very old and in essence makes the chicken taste old. But this restaurant, the chicken feels and tastes amazing!!!!!!! Eat dish is carefully placed and, the chicken is 100% organic and is not frozen like other competitors. The chicken is so fresh that I myself feel a very mesmerizing touch. Unlike other restaurants where the workers just defenestrate the chicken into a bucket, this store carefully handpicks only the best parts of the chicken and discards those that are not. The chicken wings are one of my favourites. The wings are perfectly seasoned with a touch of spice and done just right, like no other. With the skin, being the perfect amount of crisp and a flowing glow of delicious juice which assembles for a heavenly delight. All the flavor is kept in and on the food. After taking a bite into the mouthwatering chicken, drinking a sip of a soda just makes an aroma of delight. I must say that I truly do recommend to everyone!!! You must try this out and you will not be able to go back to the stereotypical KFC or Churches The prices are extremely friendly compared to similar competitor restaurants and tastes so much. Rating: I wish I could give them a 100 out of 5. But as this review system doesn t let me do that. Rating: 100/100

Fried chicken was very juicy, crispy, not too oily and well seasoned. Real breast sandvich was very well made but not amazing. Some better sauce and a tomato slice and maybe a spicy version could take it to the next level. The gravy was generic. The thing that caught me off guard was the deep fried dumplings they had. 2 dollars for 5 and they were kinda small. However they were super juicy and full of flavour. I just popped them in my mouth no sauce needed. Next time i go there ima order 50 of those badboys.

I liked that the chicken was fried fresh to order but unfortunately the chicken was not very crispy at all. I opened up the box in the car so I could try it right away. So it definitely wasn t because I let it sit too long... perhaps they didn t fry it long enough? Or simply their batter recipe isn t crispy enough. Overall nothing spectacular but not a bad option if you want to support local. They re less greasy than KFC so that is a plus.

Live in Calgary but love coming here when I can. Chicken is always great plus love the crinkle fries and gravy. Extra crispy spicy chicken is what we usually eat.

Ilove this place it was Lee chicken but changed names. Same owners. I love them they r great. The last time went there it was someone else working they werent very pleasant nor helpful. But i still like more than any other chicken place on town.

Every time I go in Ive always received excellent service. Staff are always friendly, and always greated with a smile. And the spicy chicken is by far the best in town.

We love Johns Fried Chicken and always stop there on our way to and from the lower mainland. The crispy spicy chicken is far better that KFC or Popeyes. The chicken is never greasy and is even crispy when served cold right out of the fridge. Hopefully a Johns Fried Chicken restaurant will open up in the Okanagan one day soon.

Fried chicken sandwich is excellent! Hot, freshly prepared, crisp head lettuce, mayo on a fresh bun. Larger than average too! We will visit when back in chilliwack. The owner is very nice and keeps the restaurant clean and tidy. Very personable and long time chilliwack family man.

This is seriously the best fried chicken we have ever had! I was coming home from relatives in Chilliwack, and saw the sign for Always Fresh chicken, and had to stop even though it was 8:40PM and figured that the chicken would loose some quality by the time I got it to Langley. But, it was the best looking, best tasting, crunchiest, best batter and juiciest fried chicken we have ever had. I have a new tradition every time I am coming home from Chilliwack, and wish I found it sooner!

The chicken is good. Prices are reasonable. Not busy when I went. Wouldnt say the place is cozy, but the food is good.

Excellent fried chicken. I love the extra crispy chicken, its juicy and crunchy, but surprisingly not too oily. The gravy is super tasty and I always get a medium or large just so I can have extra to sip up (its just that good!). Ive also had the fried onions which were also really good, tasty soft onion with a crispy battered shell. Soooooo good. The staff here are friendly and very attentive when wrapping up your food. I would definitely recommend Johns over KFC or any other fried chicken place.

The best chicken in Chilliwack

Honestly, nothing terribly special. The chicken breading wasnt crispy and taste just about average. The fries had no taste, could have used a little longer frying and some seasoning. Service was ok, the interior was pretty aged, cod really use a refresh. Lunch prices are decent, especially the combos.

The best fried chicken in BC!! My family has known this place for a long time and always delicious and fresh chicken. They trim the fat very clean and chicken pieces are good sizes, never been disappointed. They care their food quality, way better than any other franchised restaurant chicken. The restaurant is always clean. The owners are good hard working people.

Incredible fried chicken made fresh to order. I thought this would I be like oh so many crummy kfc knockoffs but boy, I couldn t have been more wrong. Their chicken is incredible. Such a delicate light and crisp batter that s actually a little reminiscent of tempura. If you re looking for some good fried chicken you owe it to yourself to try this place out! Update** tried a few more of the menus items and they did not disappoint, I especially recommend their chicken and vegetable dumplings!
