We recently moved to Chilliwack and we have been to the one in Abbotsford! We were so pleased that there was one here and Greek Islands you didn t disappoint us at all! Amazing as always. We love the fact that you definitely take pride in all aspects of your restaurant. We definitely will be back.

Calamari & saganaki appetizer was delicious. House Greek salad dressing is to die for. My roast lamb was fork tender and melt in your mouth. Amazing Greek food.

I truly hope everyone is blessed enough to experience dining in or out at this restaurant because that s exactly how you re left feeling . blessed (and full with lots of leftovers ) Yianni and his staff are kind, generous, thoughtful, and make you feel like family. Extremely busy place. The food was ok, but if you know about real Greek food, it is not comparable. The so-called Tsaitsiki was disgusting. This had nothing to do with a cucumber-garlic joghurt at all. Greek salat topped with Thousand Island or whatever dressing? Never ever. But service was great.

Yianni and the whole team really made a special family event that much better! My now-husband and I hosted a dinner at Greek Islands for our family members the evening before our wedding. This was a large group (30+) of people, a majority of which were visiting Chilliwack, and many of them were here for the very first time. The Greek Islands team worked their butts off for timely service and really collaborated with me and my then-fiance. Also a shout-out to the server gal who only got back from her own honeymoon a few days prior! Our guests were wowed by the service, portion sizes, and quality of the food. The lamb was particularly praised from many party members as the best they have ever had. Settling the bill was simple, putting together a select menu with Yianni was collaborative, and this dinner set stage for our families to meet a little more informally before our big day! Standard Greek Canadian restaurant. Competent service , large portions and familiar menu. Seems to cater to groups and families.Found the food .. souvlaki..to be somewhat dry and the salad somewhat bland. Not bad but not great.

I recently dined at The Greek Islands Restaurant in Chilliwack, and it was an experience worth sharing. Despite the long weekend rush and a reservation for 6:15, the restaurant was lively and bustling, which speaks volumes about its popularity. The parking lot was packed, and the positive reviews are definitely well-earned. Our waitress struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space, which made our meal relaxing rather than rushed. We were seated comfortably in a booth with excellent atmosphere and lighting though it was a bit warm, possibly due to the high volume of guests and the revolving doors. I only have a minor quibble: my Long Island Iced Tea was served in a small glass rather than the tall one I anticipated. However, this was a small issue compared to the otherwise stellar experience. The food was fantastic generous portions that I had to take home as leftovers. The chicken skewers were a highlight, accompanied by delicious potatoes, rice, and veggies. And the house-made hummus and tzatziki were exceptional. As a tzatziki aficionado, I was thrilled with how great it was, and I made sure to savor every last bit of it. Overall, The Greek Islands Restaurant is definitely a place I ll return to. The ambiance, quality of food, and attentive service make it a standout choice, despite the minor hiccup with my drink. Best dolmades Ive ever had in BC. I dont live very close to chilliwack but it made me want to make the trip back for those. We went for a Bachelorette dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff was attentive and the management acknowledged our special event in a couple ways that evening without us even asking for any consideration. The price, meal, atmosphere and service was worth it, we all left satisfied and happy. 10/10 would recommend

They never disappoint. Im giving them 5 stars because they deserve it. All the employees are very nice, always smiling and with professionalism. The service is always excellent, no long waits and you feel the warm welcome everytime you get in. The food is great, taste is always spot on. They come fast too. Everytime, I go there, Im hungry, and everytime I leave, my tummy is just so full, you can actually notice it. Lol. My kids are always satisfied and happy too. We didnt make a reservation but they accommodated us within 15 minutes even though they were packed. Same experience when we went for my daughters birthday last month. They were very accommodating. All the staffs were nice and friendly as usual, our server was very nice and punctual with our orders. Our favorite server Breannah even stopped by to say hi even though she was busy with other patrons. Breannah is kind and soft spoken thats why we love her, and shes very good with kids. Let me start with saying our server was great. She was kind and as attentive as she could be with how busy it was. The Slovaki was super meh. Ordered the beef tenderloin Slovaki and it was chewy with tough stringy bits and definitely not tenderloin. Only 6 little bites of meat (for $30 ) and the plate was half rice, half unpeeled carrots and overcooked beans with 3 little pieces of potatoe. Cesar salad was full of brown bits of lettuce. (The spanakopita and pita were really good). My partner had ribs and he said they were super basic and nothing special. But over all food lacked flavor and salt. Its been over ten years since Ive sat down at this restaurant and i remember it being amazing. Maybe its nostalgia blinding my memory? Wanted to love it like I use to but I doubt Ill go back.

A very good Greek-style restaurant. We often choose this place when we go out to eat at home or have dinner with friends. Their roast lamb and pork chops are very good, highly recommended. The service is very good, the attitude is very friendly, the water is refilled and the food is delivered in a timely manner, the kind you would be willing to tip.

Quality food, good service

The food is always outstanding here but the service was unbelievable. Ordered platter for four to take out, got home and they forgot the sauces. Wasn t that big of a deal to me. Call them so i could go pick up the sauces. They gave me 2 extra sauces, 2 dessert, extra bread, and to top it all off a $25 gift card. Just wow. The customer service was above and beyond. I was blown away.

Yianni and his team are the best in town for value and quality hands down! Especially in the last couple years with the high inflation affecting the cost of everything! Other restaurants have sacrificed their quality and quantities to make ends meet and Yianni has been able to maintain the same level of integrity throughout tough times . Best in the food & dining business no doubt! Recommend for sure!

Some of the best greek food Ive ever had! And Ive had homemade greek food from a friends YiaYia who grew up in Greece. And the salad dressing?! Bomb.

Last time was perfect but this time I had a rice not fully cooked except it everything was good Note 1: Even though we said we didnt mind the rice not being cooked properly when they asked us why we didn t eat rice, the restaurant apologized and offered us dessert. I thank the restaurant for this and I would like to add it as an additional note here.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. The Platter for two could have easily fed 3-4 people! It also came with a soup and salad too! The restaurant has beautiful murals of Greece, with a full bar, and super clean bathrooms. Our server, Toni, was super friendly, attentive, and professional. We made reservations tonight for our anniversary. We were excited to eat here as its been a few years since we have been there, but weve always had good food and service. The waitress was super attentive at first, but then I feel we were mostly ignored after the first few minutes. We finished our beer and were never offered the chance of a second drink. Our food came out and it was unfortunately quite bland compared to other times weve eaten here (other than the Greek salad. That dressing is great), but the kalamari was underseasoned and soggy, which was unappealing. The rice had no flavor, the beans were overcooked and there wasnt enough tzatziki to make things taste better. I remember in the past when weve gone there for special dinners, we always had excellent food and typically a visit from the owner to say hi and maybe even bring us a complimentary shot. For the prices we paid, we expected better. Id forego the larger portions for better flavored food and more frequent service. :(

We stopped in here yesterday as we have been wanting to go for a while. Is was very busy, but the waitress said it was actually a slow day. The restaurant was nice appearance wise (inside). Clean. Outside there was a crack pipe on the ground when I took my kids out for a noise break. We ordered the platter for two and the kids fish and chips. The platter came with a really nice portion of food. I had the Greek salad as my start and my husband had the soup. Both were fairly good. When our platter came, we were unfortunately really disappointed. There was absolutely no flavour on anything. Nothing was seasoned. I tried my son s fries to see if they were in fact seasoned, and no, they were bland as well. The potatoes and veggies were lukewarm. As well as the rice. We finished maybe 1/5 of the platter and were just turned off it. For the amount we paid for dinner, we were very underwhelmed. In my opinion there is more flavour in a pita pit pita, or a donair shop. I don t think we will be going back. We did tip $5 simply hoping to show we did at least think the waitress was friendly. But man, the food was awful. And today my husband and I have stomach pain, and he has diarrhea .

We come here often as a family. The service is always terrific. The food is wonderful and everything has a lot of flavor. Tonight we were served especially well by a young lady named Sienna. Not only did she have Grace with other tables around us, but she always had a smile and a kind thing to say with quick and good service. We are always happy with this restaurant. We have been dining at this restaurant for almost 20 years. In that time I have never had a bad meal. We go for celebrations, when we have overseas visitors and just when we havent been for a while. The owners are very hardworking, the staff very diligent and trained well. All of them have impeccable manners and will serve your every need. The cocktails are delicious and the food is always scrumptious. The portions are very agreeable and having a choice of soup or salad to go with the main meal is very good value for money. Try the roast lamb - mmmm - thats my favourite dish to order if I want a taste of Greece. Ive travelled to Greece many times to different places and the food at this restaurant is very authentic tasting of Greek cuisine. I would suggest booking a reservation as this place is always busy.

Hadnt gone to the Greek Islands in years, but a visitor wanted Greek for dinner so I knew where to go. We were there later in the evening so it wasnt crowded and we had a nice relaxing meal. Our server was one of the best Ive had in years. Hospitable, perfect table timing and just an absolute joy. Looking forward to going again soon.

My boyfriend and I came in for our anniversary and both agreed we were taken well care of by Desmond, honestly the best service we ve ever experienced in any restaurant! They were out of my first choice for dinner and we were offered a dessert on the house because of it which was a nice surprise :)

Went for dinner on Friday, March 23. No reservation. The restaurant was packed. Hostess greeted us and made us feel welcome and said about 10 minutes for a table. We sat at the bar and had a drink. Served as soon as we sat down! Part way through our drink, our table was ready. Again, it was totally packed, not an empty table in the whole place. Our server came within a cpl min to take our order, fresh drinks, and Apys that came in just a cpl min! With a packed house, we assumed a delay, but there was no delay at all. Then our entrée apys arrived and our dinner shortly after that. Our waitress(Megan possibly) was fantastic! Best service we have had in a long time! The food was AMAZING! And an abundance! So good! Our new Favourite Chilliwack Restaurant! Highly recommend

Food tasted pretty good & large portions, but its very loud in there, they need some sound deadening material installed. I could barely hear my wife and she was sitting across the table from me. They must have a lot of the food pre-made in the back as it only took about 5 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered.

Ideal place for a large group. Typical Greek comfort food loaded with potatoes and rice. Professional service. The Greek salad was much better than expected. The bacon wrapped scallops were a disappointment.

Favorite place to eat!

I ordered from Skip the Dishes, but after over an hour of waiting due to driver/app issues and with no help from skips customer service, I called and spoke with Essie. She remade my food, called Skip support multiple times, and after Skip also gave them the same troubles, she was so kind to arrange for one of their OWN staff to deliver my food. It was close to 10pm, and I was starving and I didnt have my car due to it being in the shop. They went above and beyond, and the food was delicious. Huge thanks to Essie and the staff! 5/5!!!

We had my husbands 80 th birthday there on a busy Tuesday night. We had a table of fourteen, which can be difficult when you are already busy but they were fantastic. The waitress had all meal arrive at same time always noting when our water or pop needed a top up. The food was fantastic from the rack of lamb, to calimari, we were all pleased. They had allowed us to take in a cake and they brought it to the table with additional plates, and joined in the singing. It was a night to remember!

Took the wife for dinner. Our server is extremely energetic and upbeat. He was quick and made great recommendations for add ons which I accepted. The calamari was perfect. Cooked but tender and not chewy at all. The Rib eye was spot on. Beer was cold and never empty. A perfect dinner experience. Thank you.

We went for a birthday dinner table of 15 people and we were all served at the same time. Kudos to the chef for taking extra care of the food. Every plate looked emaculate and the portions were huge. Never been before but will be trying them out again.

I am vegetarian and was not expecting there to be lots of options for me as that is common in 99% of restaurants & not to my surprise, there certainly was not. No problem, I m not picky and just happy to be out with my family. I ordered 1 of the 2 options they had that was a vegetarian dish and was just happy and grateful to be out for dinner. I was served beef in both my dish and my appetizer. :( After politely letting my waitress know, she took my dishes away and I did not get refunded, discounted, an apology, or even a new dish. I was sent out the door to pay the bill in full. It sounds ridiculous but I felt that vegetarians are not welcomed there. Even a big judgment towards it I felt very unwelcome by the staff there so much that I felt the need to share. Not everyone will read/like this review, but for those it helps! Cheers.

Top notch Greek restaurant with fantastic food and service. We tried the platter for two and had a few drinks. Everything was great. The food was made fresh with high quality ingredients. Many restaurants overuse oils and salt but these guys were spot on for everything on the platter. The spanakopita was especially tasty. The owner was also a fantastic guy to deal with. He made sure everything went well and the staff seemed to work together flawlessly to make for a better experience (not waiting for your server to do everything for you on her own).

Food was good, not exceptional or let alone memorable. We much prefer Milos Greek Taverna on Harrison Lake. One and done.

OMG!!! We were in Chilliwack for 2 weeks and in searching for a restaurant as we arrived late evening our first night in town, this place was pretty empty, but open, so we went in. It was so good, I think we ate there 3 times (taking friends) while we were in town! The food was amazing, from the salads and soups, to calamari, to the traditional Greek main courses. One night we opted for creme brulee for dessert and it was also amazing. This place is worth a drive. We will definitely visit again the next time we are anywhere in the vicinity!

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary. Toni, our server made this day as perfect as it could be. Toni was not only happy to help us enjoy our dinner, she made it a treat - one we will return to enjoy with every occasion. We traditionally order the Saganaki appetizer and have never had one so well done. Thank you for making our day all we hoped it would be.

Phoned for a pickup order at 16.45pm, arrived at 17.10pm for collection. Drive 10 minutes home and food was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave.

Always am happy with the food when I dine at any of the locations. This was my first time trying out the Chilliwack location and I had Ashley as my waitress. She was the best waitress I have ever had. Her knowledge, speed and attitude set her miles apart from the average waitress. I will be coming back in the future!

Used to be amazing, but this was the worst dinner we have ever had here. 46 per prime rib, both were chewy and 50% fat, but my dog will remaining 50%. We felt rush for the first time in and out within an hour. The Greek Islands is not what it once was. Food : 1/5

My husband gets the lamb and loves it. I got the avocado Flatbread it was amazing. Their salads are amazing. There dressing is amazing as well.
