Worst food Ive ever eaten. Would not waste the money or the drive to go and pick it up. Canned shrimp and canned chicken is what your paying for. The noodles and rice is disgusting. Literally spit out my food and ordered pizza.

Waited at my table for 30 minutes. They completely ignored me, so I left. Guess they arent interested in repeat business. Id rate the food but I didnt get any.

Ordered $90 worth of food, maybe good enough to feed 4 people what a joke! The containers are the small tinfoil containers, not the large. I thought maybe they would be stuffed with food but nope, they hardly have any food in them. I can t understand how some restaurants charge high prices and give hardly any food to you. They haven t figured out that repeat business is based on good experiences. I will never go back to this restaurant, do yourself a favor and try somewhere else. Could barely feed our party of 6, and the food was mediocre at best. Your not some fancy restaurant where you can charge high prices while giving small portions, really not worth it!

Theyre getting super cheap on things like almond chicken and there sweet and sour pork in their Combos. Finding the quality has gone downhill quite a bit.

Pretty tasty Cantonese chow mein. Nice mixture of meats and seafood as well as Chinese mushrooms, which is always a good sign.

Take out for four, its all gone. We are still hungry. 6 dishes for $104.00. 2 guys 2 ladies. Service was polite and prompt. But the portions were well below average. Headed back to our regular local Sardis restaurant next time, to bad it was closed today. Increase your portions or cut your price. Sorry Capital. You have lost our business.

Food was good, service was good, a little run down inside

First impression was that of surprise. It was Tuesday early evening and the place was packed. Most of the current reviews are not that positive, but a full restaurant is a good sign. Im new to the area and this was my first visit. I found the staff not that friendly, the inside was typical for a Chinese restaurant, nothing really to note. I ordered my usual take-out, that way I could use a comparison. It wasnt as good as my favorite place in my last location, but it certainly wasnt as bad as the negative reviews. I will have to try other places in order to say this is the best Chinese Restaurant in Chilliwack, but I can say it is better than what is offered in Agassiz. Something of note is that dishes with sauce di not get out into boxes. The honey garlic sauce leaked out all over the other take out containers, leaving little sauce for the beef.

The prawns were very good get them! Spring rolls very good too. The beef dish that was supposed to be spicy sweet sour was not spicy or sweet sour. Service was a little slow, but owners are proactive. My mom is regular and loves, not one of my favorites but would go with mom again. Maybe I should get other options.

Great food

As always an excellent dinner! I ordered combo A & C and spring rolls. I stopped in to order take out, and waited less than 10 minutes. Food was hot, plentiful and fresh.

Unfortunately I ordered 3 of there most popular dishes (B&B, AC and 4 of the signature egg rolls.... very disappointed in the egg rolls as it was like eating a cows salt-lick and almond chicken was broken into several small pieces instead of actual chicken Breast pieces.... seems like there skimping on takeout orders vs in house dine in as dine in food looked way better than my fresh take out

Had the lettuce wraps and war wonton. The lettuce wraps were decent however they were extremely salty. The war wonton was below average....two little shrimp and 2 scallops was sad and one scallop was semiraw. Service was good.

Best Chinese in the Whack. Cooks know how to use heat properly and it shows in the flavor of the food. Love that Wok Air :-)

We ordered the capital chow mein, yang chow fried rice, wonton, and dry garlic pork! if you are looking for awesome Western style Chinese food in Chilliwack, Id give my money to these guys! Great take out! The place was darn near full when I picked up the order! Still got good, hot food in less than 20 mins!

Well I thought Id give it another shot,this is the third time Ive been there and once again it was a nightmare,the wonton soup was very good actually but I ordered the chow mein,prawn,sweet and sour pork combo,prawns were not hot but good enough,chow mein was hot,sweet and sour pork was cold to the touch which I thought was very odd so I asked the older lady what had happened, she said the dishes are pre-made,they pour the sweet and sour sauce on top of the pre-made cold deep fried pork,I sent it back and told her Im sorry but Im afraid I cannot eat cold pork,my dinner came back to the table again cold,not luke warm but cold,they did absolutely nothing to it,I sent it back and said I was done with trying again,my friends dish the chow fun was hot and very good,when I went to pay I said to the older lady its too bad the pork was cold and its dangerous to serve pork at that temperature and she made excuses that the sauce heats it up,she was dismissive and irritated,the middle of the pork was cold,terrible standards,I am nota complainer,I cringe when i have to send something back,if it was even warmish i gaurantee I wouldve tried to eat it,dont risk getting sick there,go anywhere else,they dont care,theyve given up, bamboo palace in abbotsford is decent and i sure miss moonlilly,they put these guys to shame, cheers

Stepped into Capital Restaurant and was greeted by the most appetizing aroma - their food is like a love letter to flavor! The menu offers a smorgasbord of choices, and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming.

I had this food once before and it was good. Tried it again and it was awful. The ginger beef was awful, extremely thin slices, very fried so very crunchy a bit chewy. Beef chow main and chicken chow main was bland. Sweet and sour pork just wasn t the usual taste or texture. Won t go back.

They missed some of the items on Christmas Eve but took care of it right away for us. We ve been searching for good Chinese food since we moved from Onterrible and this is by far the best we ve had. Kudos to you team!

We ordered ginger beef. It looked like pork rinds. It was hard and chewy. We were unable to detect any beef or ginger. Owner refused to take it off the bill. I have always had great food and lovely service here. I came with my friends who only came because I highly recommended Capital. We will not trust Capitol again.

Weve only had take-out so far, but its mostly been very good. Fast and friendly service.

We used to go to this restaurant regularly 20-25 years ago, then moved away. Today, passing through Chilliwack, decided to see if it was still around and still as good. It was! Absolutely nothing seems to have changed! We ordered a hot and sour soup and a Rock Fish Chop Suey. Because this place is NOT an Americanized Chop Suey restaurant, what they called Chop Suey was actually a delightfully prepared rock fish with a black bean sauce on a plate of mostly green beans. A delicious---very barbeque tasting---black bean sauce. The fish was prepared perfectly.

Food was good but picked up for takeout and the customer service was non-existent. Totally unfriendly. Felt like just a # in a long line. No Hello or thank you for your service just simply a pickup. Disgraceful for such a long standing restaurant.

Best Chinese food in town!

Understandably, prices have gone up dramatically as with everything else. However, the quality of food has gone way down. Almond chicken had a sliver of chicken in it, mostly batter. Protein portions are tiny. Carbs stacked to the brim. Unfortunately, it seems as if this restaurant has gone the way of the ginko. Which is a shame, because they used to be amazing.

this place is legendary. Came here for one of my birthdays and i always begged my parents to come back here. Look at me back here for my grandmas birthday. The bubbly fried prawns were perfection, a lil bit too greasy for my liking but if you love greasy food get that. The sweet and sour pork is crazy crispy but it gets soggy pretty quickly so if you decide on that eat it quickly and treat it like your speedrunning an appetizer. Its also pretty good although i taste almost no sour and just sweet. Beef noodle soup has always been a favourite of mine and here they did it perfectly. I don t know how they did it but i want the recipe. 8/10 from someone who rarely rates places on google maps.

The quality of food was mediocre 18.00 for deep fried prawns that were cut in half and they seemed like they were cooked the day before and reheated and the hot and sour soup was horrible!

When Im visiting Chilliwack, I try to stop in and eat lunch or dinner at The Capital. The food is always great and the service friendly and attentive.

Just moved to Chilliwack. We heard The Capital was the best Chinese food around. We live within walking distance and were so happy to possibly have an amazing restaurant to frequent. We were completly ignored. Order was taken but after 10 minutes had to get up and ask for our 2 bottles of beer to be delivered. Food was okay but dry. I wanted to order a side of Plum sauce or something to make it right but like i said.. Completely ignored. No quality check, no offer of a second drink, which I would have ordered if given the chance. Maybe it was my Rock Shirt or my girlfriends tattoos? We watched as tables around us got good service with big smiles while we were completely ignored. Nobody even looked at as once. Im just being a complainer who has no idea, I have worked in the food service industry closely for the last 26 years. We wont be back. Super dissaponting. Phil & Leslie. A very successful client outing for Chinese food 50km away and good news we were more than pleased. Upon arrival there was a line formed outside waiting for the restaurant to open. We knew then this must be really good food. We had never been here before so we need to find out for ourselves and everything had good flavors was plated well and the tea was exceptional . My senior clients were very happy!!!! Thanks again to the staff for good service and see you again soon! It s well worth the drive. Vegetarian options: My client is semi vegetarian and she was delighted with her choice of vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: My other client is blind and I must use a wheelchair to transport her around in due to other ailments she can not walk very far the restaurant was roomy and allowed space to park the chair.

Placed my regular order. Upon pick up waited an extra 45 mins for a total of an 1 hour and 25 minutes. Bring the food all the way home to find out the order is half wrong and is room temperature. My assumption is they forgot about my order and realized it was sitting there, finally giving it to me with my food cold for my family. Not the first time either. This restaurant has slowly declined over the years, their quality and their customer service. I will no longer will be supporting this business.

Very refreshing to have generous portions with fresh ingredients. This is how Chinese food should be prepared. Simple decor , and a little short staffed when we were there. The wait was worth the food.

Great experience

Ive heard a lot about this place so finally tried it out. It was good. A bit on the greasy side of things bit I still enjoyed it. The Alomond Chicken and Capital Chow Mein were my favorite part of the meal. Garlic pork was decent too. It was a nice treat. Will I return? Probably but not as often as other restaurants I my rotation.

Probably one of the best Chinese food restuarants I have tried in the Fraser Valley. I was honestly ready to give up if this place was a dud. Its unfortunate that its hard to get through their phone lines but it was honestly worth it. Beef and Broccoli Cantonese chowmein was on point. Wonton soup was good. Pork Fried rice, amazing. Honey garlic pork was decent but could have used more sauce on it. All in all, this will definitely be my go to spot from now on.

When we are out west,a must stop for us the this place and there dry garlic boneless pork is the greatest thing we ve ever ate.

Amazing food.

Lots parking panhandle are at the exits during the summer mths . Quick check outs easy shopping experience. Parking lot security are idiots had to chase after one clown for taking pictures of me and my son giving a homeless person a call items on our way out ,spoke to store manager who Im sure did nothing about my complaint cuz that same security clown was there the next time I went there..ugh!!

Finally tried Capital after so many have suggested it with glowing reviews. It was the best American style Chinese weve had in Chilliwack. Have to leave a 5 star review after seeing some of the 1 star reviews for this place... Maybe they came on bad days. My experience was great would love to see a vegetarian combo option.

Pre-covid closures, this place was amazing. Never had a bad meal. Post-covid, weve been back 3 times and have been disappointed each time. We first thought maybe they just needed to get back into the swing of things after being closed due to the covid restrictions, but we are at least a year past the closures and it still is not great. New cook? Different food supplier? Dunno. Its just definitely not what it used to be. The meal I had today was worse than a food court meal. It was a one star meal at best. Im giving 3 stars only because this place used to be great.

Capital chow mein - decent Ginger beef - flavor was ok, beef is cooked beyond recognition. Dry and chewy. Egg rolls - not terrible, not great. Just ok. Sweet & Sour Pork - grim, flavorless nuggets of gristley despair. No discernable taste other than the oil they were cooked in.

Great food but trying to contact them for a take out is almost impossible. Started Calling at 4:30 and it rings and then drops. Needed to order for 6 people and well once again, cant get through. Looks like it will be Canton again.

We had the szechuan shrimp and stir fried beef in oyster sauce. Hot and sour soup to start. Everything was fresh and delicious. A tad on the oily side, but oh so delicious.

The small bits of pork were mostly very dry, had to ask for sauce for the noodles, the prawns were very good. Our families use to visit the Capital approx. 15 years ago. We really enjoyed the Capital back than. Parking: We found parking ok since we went around 6:30 pm.

Years ago, we were always happy with the quality and generous serving size. Yesterday, take out lunch, was far below food court grade. Last few times our orders have been very disappointing.

Ive been dining here for years my parents used to take us kids here on our dinners out. It hasnt changed to much accept for the sesame seeds and soya sauce you have to ask for it now and they only give you a small amount

I think this was only the second time I have been here. The food was absolutely delicious. I dont think Ill go anywhere else for Chineses anymore. This was so good. Service was friendly and great. The setting is like your sitting in a cafeteria at school. There is no atmosphere at all. But I will be back..

In the current day Chinese restaurants are seemingly a dime a dozen. Go into any settlement, be it postage stamp-sized town or metropolitan city, and you ll likely come across a good number of Chinese restaurants. Some may be very good and some may be outright terrible. Indeed, the point here is the spectrum of quality one might encounter for Chinese restaurants varies widely and significantly. In the small town, deciding which Chinese restaurant is worth your time could just be a matter of trying them because you might only have two or three to sample.

We attended at the Capital last weekend with friends and again it was out of bounds. The family was all there except May. Paul was at our table to greet us after we were met at the door by Donna Kens wife. He is Pauls son and the grand kids Jason and Jasmine were also there waiting tables. The place was packed as usual and as usual the food was beyond great. Janie and I have been going there for decades and we have never had a bad meal. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

I was here 5 years ago and I was here recently and it was great both times. They had a dinner for 4 or something on a separate menu from the main one and it had some interest dishes that were different from most places. Every table was taken by 5pm. People streaming in and out the whole time for pickup. Its on the more expensive side for sure with smaller portions. The best Ive had for Asian cuisine in Chilliwack though.

Favorite Chinese Food Restaurant, but its always so hard to get through at peak times to order take out. It would be nice if they added a second line, or a wait on hold system or even let skip the dishes or uber eats start offering pick up services especially Fridays and Saturdays. Please Capital!

Best Chinese food in Chilliwack

Super food super service super prices.

Quality food, decent prices. However this time it took a long time. Was told 15-20min and it took 45.

First the dishes leaked and soaked the bag and everything in it as one of the lids had a piece cut out of it allowing sweet and sour sauce to flow freely from it. The almond chicken was terrible. Looked like it had been sitting in the warming tray for hours. It was mashed in its container and looked dried and old. The rest of the dinner wasnt much better. Very unsatisfied. Ive eaten here for years and never experienced this here before.

Went in the off hours and was so much fresher than our usual suppertime time

Spent 30 mins trying to call. Busy signal the whole time.....
