My partner and I decided to go for lunch today in our way out of town, for a bowl of soup. New restaurant doors which are nice, although a bit confusing at first glance - chairs are comfy, waitress very pleasant. Some of the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked great - hamburgers and fish & chips. Today’s soup / Potato Corn Chowder, was a HUGE miss for us. It was a bowl of salty glutenous glop without a piece of potato in sight, but with more carrots and celery than corn. It tasted like it had been made from a powdered mix. Yes, we ate it, and didn’t make a fuss, old habits I suppose. The pie was obviously not made from fruit(fresh or frozen) but canned filling. I guess being from the boomer generation, and not able to eat out often, I am still surprised that everything is an add-on. Garlic Toast with your soup? Whipped topping on your pie? Check your bill, because there’s a fee for it. Lunch cost what we’d normally spend on two….so I don't think we’ll be back, but wish you well.
Great local coffee shop offering great breakfast, lunch, awesome pie, coffee, and wonderful service. Here's hoping it stays this way and I'll continue to support it, either flying in, or driving in.
Pie, mmm so good. Lots of choices, probably over 10 varieties, it was hard to choose. The pecan was in point, not too sweet, thin tasty crust it was yummy. Also tasted the Key lime, it was also very good. We took are three nieces there 7,9, &12 and they all enjoyed it, was fun watching the planes while eating pie. Service was excellent, fast efficient. We actually thought we had left a phone there when we departed and had to go back and staff was super helpful, even a follow up call the next day, next level customer service. If i lived closer I'd frequent this place more often.
After waiting quite awhile , We watched our food sit under the heat rack for 10 or 15 minutes. When we got it the Caesar salad was warm and limp and my toasted sandwich was rock hard on top. Server was great but clearly overworked and the lack of staff and teamwork really stood out. We both had pie and it was the worst pie I have ever had. I don't know how they manage to get the crust that thin or horrible tasting . I read that they changed hands about a month earlier so I will give them another chance in the future since I've heard so many good things about the place over the years.
Today the family and I stopped at I Fly for Pie and it was such a delight. The staff were so helpful and kind, made everyone feel like they are part of a community. In particular, our waitress who’s a long term vet of I fly, made our dinning experience awesome. Our mains were great We left with enough single slices to fill a whole pie. Brought great grandma who can’t visit anymore a slice of Coconut cream. Her heart is happy and her blood sugars are not, but who need to tell the doc today. Thank you I Fly for Pie, hubby and I along with my girls will for sure be back. Pia.
Echoing the rest of the reviews on here, this little and quaint restaurant, located inside, the Chilliwack airport, is a great spot for affordable and well portioned items. The menu is quite broad in nature, mostly focussing around breakfast items and handheld items. They also are famous for their pies which you can get to go by the slice or by the whole thing. the service was very friendly and welcoming. You can also get a great view of some of the planes landing and taking off. I would come back if I’m in the area for sure!
I had heard about this place but the stories did not do it justice. The Texas Burger was one for the books and the chocolate pie was simply divine! The food was only superceded by the excellent service. (We also brought home the last sour cherry pie! 🍒😃)
We went around 11 am and there were a lot of tables available. Around 12 noon every table was occupied. The service was awesome. The waitresses were nice and helpful. We received the good fairly quickly. The food was very good. Lots of variety on the menu.
I had being going to this restaurant for many years , but it seem the new owners have made changes to the price , I had orders a omelet and then asked to make it a chicken omelet rather than a Cajun chicken . This omelet when from a 18 dollars to 23 dollars . !
For the first time my family and I we tired and we absolutely love the service and the food ! Thank you the lady who served us the food is wonderful as she is working almost for 13 years at this place, We will see you soon again
My go-to breakfast spot in Chilliwack! Love the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere!
Excellent service from Morgan, who was attentive but not intrusive. The kids loved their hot chocolate and the key lime pie was . Would definitely recommend.
Had the breakfast. Everything was good except the sausages. They tasted like sawdust. Wont order that plate again...
Used to frequent here. I dont know if its the change in management over the years but its gone downhill. Waitress was good, food sub par, pies dont taste the same.
Went here for lunch, waited almost 45 minutes for our food when the restaurant wasn t even half full. I got the Rueben, it came out room temperature but the bread was rock hard and it was absolutely LOADED with mustard to the point where it was dripping out the sides. I have felt sick all day since eating that.
Best eggs Benny!!!! This chef knows how to soft poach an egg...
A staple of Chilliwack for decades, first time going there since the new ownership. Came in with my daughter for breakfast on the patio on a Saturday morning. We both knew what we wanted, but it took about 10 min for the server to know we were even there. She was apologetic and took good care of us afterwards though. Food came fast as it wasnt busy. Eggs were cooked right and still hot, hash was crispy but not too much. All in all, a decent breakfast, glad that its still there. Too early in the day for pie this time.... Parking: Seperate one-way entrance and exit off south side of Airport Rd.
So delicious!!!
It took a long time to be served.I realized there were four full tables waiting to be served. I noticed after 20 minutes when the first table was served. Then I looked at other full tables with no food, they were there all before me. Then 15 minutes later the second table was served etc etc. It took so long they offered refill my coffee 5 or 6 times. I felt like warning other people coming in how long it was going to take. The restaurant inside was full and the outdoor seating was open too. Maybe they only have one cook. It looked like they had about 4 waitresses but the food itself took a long time to be served. When I received mine the food was ok not hot just mildly warm. And they have NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was very hot and uncomfortable. Ive had their pie there before not impressive just regular pie
Under new management. Breakfast specials until 10a.m. Food hot and well presented. Excellent value. New padded wrap around chairs, very comfortable
This restaurant needs to be expanded. We were told a 15 to 20 minute wait and left after closer to an hour wait. With the population of Chilliwack and the air traffic amount, thus place is WAY to small to accommodate customers.
Weve been here a couple times but only during the air show and usually only for pie. Today we went in out of the ordinary, just driving around and spontaneously decided that we needed to go. I have to admit, we had an extremely pleasant experience, even if there were some waiting times. With every down, there was a pretty positive up to make up for it! We waited for a while, completely forgetting that infamous lunch rush. No fault on them, just poor timing on our part. During our time there they were extremely honest with us in why it took quite some time to be served food. Oh well, things happen, we understand. They offered an amount off due to the waiting. My husband got the Airport Burger, a classic that reminds him of the old Z-Burger. I got onion rings, and they were fantastic!! Completely worth the 10$, I felt. As it was a decent portion of rings as well as fresh and hot. During our time, they had some pretty great interactions with the kids; It felt really warm and positive. I never caught our waitress name but she was awesome. Friendly, white hair, has an awesome sarcastic attitude that we saw her use with her regulars. By the end of our meal, just as I had finished my amazing Turtles pie, she had informed us that our meal was generously paid for. (Just in case you ever see this, please know that we were extremely grateful for the gesture!). As we left we ended up almost forgetting a bottle. Thank goodness for our waitress though, she hollered at us and chased us down with it. Thank you again! We will be back! Kid-friendliness: Everyone, from the customers to the staff, loved the kids! There were plenty of high-fives and lots of compliments.
Great breakfast, good service, best scenery anywhere .
My server was getting ready for vacation and therefore was not interested in bringing us our food clearing our plates checking on our meal which I m sure would ve been great. If it had been hot I was sat in a position where I could literally see my food sitting on the counter That she looked at walked away from there for almost 10 minutes before she decided to bring it to us
Had a tasty homemade breakfast and we brought a slice of homemade pie home with us
Awesome restaurant with great food at great prices. Management is wonderful and the service ia great. You get to see airplanes while you eat. Food
It exceeded expectations! Great service, quick meals. The eggs benedict was delicious, but the pie stole the show. Well be back to try more pie flavors!
Very disappointing! We came specifically for pie as I understood they were known for great pies, so we tried a couple varieties. Firstly, it took over 20 minutes for 2 pre-cut slices of pie, while the table next to us (who came after us) got their fully cooked burger meals ahead of us. Secondly, we ordered our pies to be heated but they both arrived cold & were missing the bottom layer of pie crusts. Basically we paid over $15 for cold pie filling with a messy dollop of ice cream. Lastly, our waitress was rude and dismissive - we wont be back!
Made our day! Service was great, food was even better and location and atmosphere was lovely too. Food : 5/5
This restaurant is top on my list. The food is amazing The service is pretty good too! My favorite place to go for a relaxing atmosphere and lovely lunch. Try their Denvers!
Had lunch here today. Lots of folk out enjoying a nice bite, coffee or tea. The planes were taking off so good to watch if you are into plane spotting.
Good service great pie
Tasty food and reasonable prices - not what you would normally expect from an airport-side restaurant! And you definitely wont find this level of service at YVR or most other airports.
We were put onto this gem by friends who regularly frequent this coffee shop. Has a good menu for all tastes and appetities. Everything is home cooked, not fast food. Be sure to save room for desert which are also all home baked. What a lovely way to have lunch outside on their patio watching the small planes coming and going. We understand that the previous owners are now at the Langley airport but the new owners at the Chilliwack location still have the same good food quality, prices, and pies.
Breakfast and peach & raspberry pie......great!. Service excellent.
My boyfriend remembered this place from his childhood growing up in Harrison / Chilliwack, very specifically for its pie. Of course moving out here and only 5 minutes away, I had to see what all the hype was about. It not only lived up to my expectations, but surpassed them! Service was excellent, and our meals came out really fast. My eggs bennie was delicious, perfectly poached eggs, and the hashbrowns were nicely seasoned and piping hot. But the pie stole the show for me, I can see what all the fuss is about! I already told my man that Id like him to order me their key lime pie for my birthday cake next month! Lets hope he delivers on this promise... if not, we will be back so I can try the entire pie menu anyway.
Greg is good
I came here hoping to see the planes landing etc, but unfortunately it was windy and no planes were landing and taking off. The Baron Beef Dip sandwich I had was delicious. Service was a little slow but we were having fun chatting away so it didnt matter to us.
Menu was dated, ordered the reuben, it was fine, came with fries, they were ok. My Strongbow was fabulous. Service was good. The restaurant itself is dated. View of the airport and the potential of planes taking off and landing is a plus for sure. Overall, it was a good experience.
Beautiful restaurant with great service at Chilliwack Airport. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The food is great, especially the creamy tomato soup. Vegetarian options: Creamy Tomato Soup is best.
Service was good. Food there is still just meh. Nothing to write home about.
Breakfast was expensive for what we ate. French toast was ordinary sliced bread, grilled tomatoes were not grilled, they forgot my bacon at first!
The front desk staff were very friendly. I didnt eat any food, so I cant comment on that. The atmosphere was alright. The room was clean. It was a king bed with a pull out couch. I found it to be very expensive for one night...over $350
Amazing pies!
I was recently at this restaurant with a friend, we had a late lunch here and it was excellent. I had what I think was the airport burger or something like that and Im not sure what he had but both our meals were a good-sized portion for each of us and the quality was very good. I have been here many times before so I mentioned to him that he should also try the pie, we both had a piece of pie. I had the blueberry pie and he had the chocolate pie and he was extremely pleased with his pie and said he would be back and of course I have been here many times and will continue coming back. I do wish they had an online menu, when I say menu I mean the rest of the menu because the pies for some reason are not on the menu? Hopefully they read the reviews and fix their website! I highly recommend this restaurant and please if youre reading this remind them to fix their website as well.
Reliably good food, great views and friendly service in a tidy local airport diner
Consistently good food, great service and a view on the patio of the mountains and planes that is the best anywhere
Today I got to eat with an amazing mother sister and brother at this restaurant which has top shelf staff beginning to end of lunch experience and the food all with so much flavor it gets advisordanny 3 yums which is the highest rating for food enjoyment times that advisordanny offers
Had the breakfast sandwich with Shredded potatoes, it was great.
Disappointing Dining Experience at a Once-beloved Restaurant. I recently revisited a restaurant I used to love after a long absence, and its apparent that theres new management in place. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what I remembered. The pie, which used to be a perfect ten, has lost its charm and quality. The menu was disappointingly lackluster, and the overall food quality left much to be desired. Its sad to see a once-great place decline like this.
Used to be a good spot for a nice breakfast, lately food and service are lacking.
Food is great and fresh. The pies ommmgggg sooo yummy
Excellent place to dine. Great staff. Very convenient to the city and large parking lot. Parking: Numerous and disabled parking across from entrance.
Worst service ever, server didn t arrive on our table for 15 mins, served other new tables, and when we asked, she acted rude, didn t take our order, said no manager for this restaurant and let us leave without even asking for order
Me and my daughter come here often. The servers are so sweet, the food is honestly fresh and well cooked. Prices for deals are amazing. We ve had breakfast often, and I had a burger for lunch one time that was to die for.
Absolutely disgusted with the waitress who criticized my mom and grandma when I went to the bathroom on how much they tipped her. For starters a tip is not guaranteed, it is earned, secondly our food took over an hour to come out and we even sent it back as it was cold. 3rd how do you not know I was not paying the tip when I returned from the bathroom as they were still at the table finishing their drinks. When I returned my grandma and mom said to just leave. Then when I called to speak to the manager about this and ask the ladies name who talked to seniors with such disgust and humiliation she refused to tell me and hung up on me. What kind of person treats 2 seniors like that. Couldnt say it to me when I was there but humiliating 2 seniors is just damn right disgusting and uncool. You dont deserve a tip. learn your clientele as their mostly seniors or is this your normal thing were you belittle seniors all the time for more tip money?. Clearly it appears you do.. you should be fired.
Every time I m out in chilliwack I always pop by this restaurant. I appreciate how nice and amazing the service is!
Megan took exceptional care of us. Our lunch was hot from the kitchen, well prepared, tasty & priced accordingly. It s obviously a popular spot as our wait time was fifteen minutes @ noon on a Tuesday. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for anyone in a wheelchair.
Very good food and nice waitress.
Chilliwack Airport always serves great food along with providing friendly servers. If you d like a place to stay that s very welcoming and provides a great eating environment, I recommend giving this place a go. Planes taking off, planes landing. Makes for a very enjoyable and entertaining meal. If you re into aviation and have a love for flying, enjoying a meal here will leave you wanting to hop in that plane and fly. Once finished with your meal you re greeted with a slice of the pie of your choice. Very delicious pie. It ll want you wanting more!
Great friendly staff and amazing food!!!
I give a 4 because of the fries they were a bit greasy. But everything else delicious.
Great place for a meal or coffee. We brought the kids one day and they loved watching the airport through the window. Great view and excellent service.
Looking for comfort food in Chilliwack. Here it is. Simple. To the point. Delicious. The steak sandwich and grilled cheese (child at heart) with the soup, grandma would be proud. Doesnt hurt that you can catch planes flying in and out. Will be back for thier burger!
Absolutely great food and service
The whole experience was great right from the start. Food was excellent. The view is great. And the service was amazing . And it didnt break the bank. Lol
Staff is rude and poorly trained
Ordered a breakfast poutine, panfries, cheese curds, and gravy, swapping out the eggs that would usually be on top for some peppers and onions. Truly delicious! Staff was also great. :)
Good food, and good prices.
Supported this place big-time through covid. Use to be decent but unpredictable last few months due to continually changing staff. Hence my edited review. Manager is unpleasant.
nice lunch. great pie.
I fly for Pie
Service was awesome. Excellent place for a good inexpensive breakfast.
Blackberry Pie and Ice cream. Yummy!!
It is a wonderful restaurant! I would like to come back here again and again.
Decent food. Don t care much for the service. They have a hostess that can t take food orders or relate message to the server. Server who tells u they are going on a break and someone will temporarily take over, but no one did. One pie menu you have to wait for. Afterwards no one come to take ur order. Don t care how good people say their pie is, it s not worth the brush off.
The pies. Wow. We watched a plane land, taxi to parking, come in and have pie and coffee, and then taxi and take off again. Its that good.
Loved watching the planes while enjoying dinner. Food was good, lovely staff, very clean. Pies looked delicious.
Busy little spot , good food , good portions , great customer service !!
Flew in for the pie! Was definitely worth the stop. The place was very busy but they were able to accommodate my short visit to grab a few slices. Pro tip: if you want a whole pie, you need to order 1 day in advance. :)
Great service and very tasty food great place to meet up with friends
Hands down the best omelette Ive ever had!!
This place is great! I love the food. However my experience 2 weeks ago and today is a huge difference. I guess they have a new management taking over, but prices went up (that is understandable and not included my stars), but they reduced the menu to maybe a half, seems very plain and general. I always loved the place, the food is still good, but the place is changing and not towards better. We came there, we waited as usual, but then when we were seated, we waited 30 minutes for a server to come by. Meanwhile people seated after us where having a coffee, water, and their food was ordered. She took our order, and still no water- we received coffees (not me as I ordered water) but never water. I had to ask another waitress to get water. Sitting outside when is hot without water can be quite challenging, especially when you are pregnant. We received the food. When we asked for extra plate, we were told its extra 2$ per plate....what? We had to then ask for cutlery, then for ketchup, nobody came to refill water. After that, we have not seen our waitress since then. (We spent there all together 2 hours - seen our waitress in first 30 minutes and then 25 minutes later with the food, after that she was gone hoping for a pie menu). After another 30 minutes sitting with our plates empty hoping for a server to come by and ask how we are doing, and nothing was happening, we asked another server to get the bill, she didnt bring it and she went cleaning other tables, we went inside, paid and left. This never happen, but it was bad.
Love this place, great wholesome food, friendly staff, and its great watching planes and choppers coming and going while you eat!
First time here and I was a bit worried as I saw they had recently changed their menu which I know caused some issues with regulars. Thankfully though the waitress we had was very knowledgeable about the prior one and gave us lots of options that are not currently shown. Went just before noon and although it was busy, we were seated right away inside. Ordered 3 meals(kids and 2 breakfast meals). The omelet was great and tasty, as were the pancakes, bacon and eggs. Service was good too! My one complaint would be the pies. Not the taste, but the cost! For 1 piece of pie you are paying $9. They arent massive slices either. This seems quite high IMO and although they both tasted good, and we will definitely go back, I dont think pie will be on the menu next time unfortunately. -1 star for that but overall a wonderful place.
Very location. Great service.
It was a meal that everyone was satisfied with. I was impressed by the friendly staff.
Awesome pie!
Wow. Wonderful pies! I didnt expect that much good but it was surprisingly tasty.
Amazing pie. Really good comfort food
Great food, good size portions... And let s be honest .. everyone comes for the pies! We tried the airport burger and it didn t disappoint, fresh handmade patty! Good portion sizes meant we took the pies home to enjoy later. If you re heading to Chilliwack make sure you stop in and give them a try.
They wouldnt let me in because I wasnt wearing a mask. I relayed to the manager that I have been told not to wear one. She still said no. Something about it being the restaurants choice whether they allow people in or not. I will never go back.
We sat on the patio my son loved watching the planes land on the sunny day The service food and value was amazing!
Very nice outside patio .meal was great
Great food at a very affordable price. Beautiful patio. Covid friendly. Awesome place to take kids to watch the planes while you eat.
Great service and good food!
Awesome pies.
Best pies in chilliwack
Had a quick lunch here which was excellent. What I like best about eating here is that it is inside the airport building with great views of the planes taxiing, parking or taking off. The patio offers an even better view of the goings on. Lots of parking available and a good menu selection.
Lunch at the Airport Cafe - again. Excellent food and service as always.
As always excellent food and service.
Good service.
The service is always fantastic and the pies!!!! There are always so many delicious pies, made fresh and from scratch. Every time Im in Chilliwack I make sure to make time for the pie!
Great outdoor patio and awesome selection on the menu. Breakfast till 2pm and a great baker on site. You must get a pie. We loved the airplanes taking off and landing too!
Excellent service. Excellent food. My only complaint is the prices are a bit on the high side... But nothing else to complain about. Eat here, you wont regret it.
I never thought there is a restaurant by the airport in Chilliwack. We were looking for pies and Google led us to this nice restaurant. The food is your usual fare found in most diners - all day breakfast, lunch specials, dinner specials, and some random deserts. But its the airport ambience that makes this place unique. Imagine having breakfast with pilots along with turboprop engines on the background. The food here is good and you get the value for what you paid for. I ordered a classic breakfast item: 2 eggs, 2 bacons, potatoes, and toast. Food and service was good. Definitely will come back.
Best pie for miles!
My favorite spot to celebrate my birthday! Good food! The top 6 of the plastic wind break needs to be taken off the fence... wrecks the view of the airfield! (Which has always been the charm of the cafe.)
Roast beef dinner, very nice, highly recommend.
Mmmmmm pie. Cant drive from Vancouver to Penticton without some pie.
Delicious breakfast and pie! Great service too
We fly for Pie
Good food and great service!
Fresh and yummy Pies
The cheesecake was delish but $8.00 is over double what it should be for the size u get
Changed the patty melt :( first bad experience
The reason I have only awarded 1 star is because we went for lunch today and were told that we didnt have to show our vaccine passport because its an airport. That is ridiculius. We wont go again.
This use to be a five star breakfast for me, but now that they don t have the home made pan fries unfortunately I ll be looking for a different breakfast place. The pan fried hash browns really made the breakfast stand out among all the rest I m very sad
You guys make the best tasting looking pies . Oh my lord they are excellent.
Fantastic little place with a decent food selection and superb dessert selection . Because it is at the airport vaccine passports are NOT required for and FYI.
Classical Canadian Breakfast taste delicious. Nice big windows with the view of plane. They also have some different kinds of homemade pie. Good to try at Chilliwack.
Excellent service and food!
Quaint little restaurant in interesting location. If you like planes youre in the right place
Love this place! Busy, friendly, great service, tasty breakfast. Thank you!
Great food, no vacine mandate, and great service. The photo was taken from the lookout on Chilliwack mountain showing the flood waters.
The food and service are excellent. The place would be perfect except they dont ask for vaccine passports and there are unvaccinated people there. Ill pass on going there until things change.
This is our favourite place to go for breakfast and lunch. The staff are lovely too.
Generous portions, friendly staff, well priced, definitely a repeat visit.
Stacey was an awesome server. Something was a little off with our sandwich. Not only did they not charge us but sent us home with a piece of pie. Not the kind of service you get at most places. Kudos to Airport Restaurant. Will definitely be back. They re breakfasts are amazing too!
Awesome pie! love this little gem of a restaurant. Not fancy, just really good simple food.
Breakfasts specials are great. Love taking my family there for a weekend breakfast.
My mother, sister and I go every Saturday and the service is always the best part of going there. They are so friendly. The food is good too.
My husband & I purchased food for take out today..... Full size Blueberry pie, cabbage rolls, beef pot pies, turkey pot pies and sausage rolls. The sausage rolls we had for lunch were delicious, and we had excellent Service. A Big Heartfelt Thank you to the Baker & Morgan Kristoffersen...
very very good service and food
Great service, delicious food and yummy pie !! The view is amazing watching the planes is even better
Excellent, good food and varied menu.
Nice airport restaurant, ample seating, and menu with wide variety.
Great patio!!
Very poor menu if you are low carb
Staff are amazing
Great value,service and food.
Fantastic blueberry pie and ice cream. The patio was lovely.
We make our way to Chilliwack airport restaurant any chance we get. The pie is outstanding!! Don t sleep on the breakfast poutine either.
Great service, super clean atmosphere, always amazing food and literally the best pie ever.
The lime pie is from another world, its absolutely delicious. I recommend.
Great chicken burger. Covid setup looked good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food came up quickly and tasted amazing. Always need a slice of pie to complete the meal.
Really enjoyed it, portions were large and service was great.
Great French Toast & Bacon & Eggs, and of course the blueberry pie was delicious (too bad the apple pie was sold out!)
Service and food are excellent!!!
You raised your prices after I ordered. This is highly illegal and so wrong. Greed is disgusting
Very good service, the cook is marvellous, and the pies are soo big and scrumptious Waitresses are totally awesome!
I love the airport cafe. Food is good and the pies and cake are awesome. The nachos are awesome too. The staff are always nice and helpful and the views of the aircrafts landing and flying is awesome. The only complaint that I would have is there is no A/C and it can get a tad bit warm in the summer months. I don t think I would lose a star over that tho. Definitely a fun and worthwhile place to go.
My fiance and I enjoy going to the Chilliwack Airport Cafe. We went for breakfast a few days ago and were impressed. The Alpha breakfast was only 6.99. This was a bacon and egg breakfast with hash browns and toast. Delicious! We had not made a reservation.God idea to mke one.The service was very good.
Excellent food and service
Delicious food and amazing pies. Their waitress Morgan was fantastic and so friendly.
Good food and super nice ladies working there
best around
Another Great Lunch. Service outstanding.
Nice place! Good service and good food!
Great food. Great value. Nice staff.
great food awesome service...
Great place to go have a coffee and pie. My daughter loved watching the planes
First visit since the changeover, very satisfied! The turkey clubhouse is delicious and great value for the price, real battered onion rings YUM! Greets from your neighbors with the yellow and black sign.
Love the pies and the cakes . we had one of each not something I do but it was a special occasion and had to find out what all the rave was about. Sure enough the cakes the pies are to die for. We sat outside as we had our dawg with us and the view of the runway you really could not ask for more.. The device was great and Every one is very friendly staff and it can get busier on weekends but its worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating with a view either way. Entrance is accessible and is easy to find. Can accommodate a wheelchair or scooter. Smoke free no pets and bring your appetite. $$ lots of pies and cakes to choose from. They are so far living up to my expectation.
The portions and prices were good but they apparently cut down their menu due to the airshow. They asked in the menu to be respectful of others and finish their meals in a timely manner, however it took them 20 minutes to come see us to take our order...could have been longer if I didnt walk up and ask for service. We asked for another plate to share our food and never recieved one either. Not impressed and sadly wont be returning. It wasnt that busy due to the airshow when we showed up either. We clearly saw the waitresses walk by with us plenty of times where they could have stopped.
Came here for pie & coffee & unfortunately this place is no longer what it used to be. While the coffee & service was good, the pies we ordered were awful. I ordered the Blackberry & Peach & my partner ordered the Orange Float. I really wish I had taken a picture of my pie. It was sad looking. The crust was extremely thin but not crispy. It was a weird dark brown colour like it had been cooked then reheated several times. My partners while it looked great, the crust was extremely sweet & after he got halfway through it he said it tasted like tang. We did finish most of both pies because we didnt want to waste them or our money, but I think in hindsight we really should have said something.
Good food, good prices, amazing pie! New name, new owners, same great food! Even some of the staff stuck around. Worth checking out!
One of the best place to eats
Best breakfast and great service!!
Good prices, especially for kids. Good quality and service
An unfortunate experience...my four children and I showed up for a much anticipated breakfast as we regularly do. We walked in and attempted to sit down as per normal. We were intercepted by a visibly upset server who was angrily mumbling under her breath. As we sat down, we watched her pick up the wait to be seated sign and place it on a ledge amidst some planters. I apologized but she wanted nothing to do with us. We ordered our food and waited for almost 40 minutes to receive ours. My older children noticed that others arriving after us had received their food before us. On a couple of occasions we overheard the miserable woman complaining about our table. When the food arrived, it was over-cooked and my hash browns and bacon were noticeably burnt. My oldest son couldn t eat his over cooked toast and hash brown. We left very unhappy customers and are unsure if we will return.
Best pie, breakfast and service always with a smile.
So disappointing! New owners have taken over and the quality of food has gone down and the pies are nothing special now.
This place is a gem. The decor reminds me of a homely atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed our experience here. There are plenty of seats indoor/outdoor. The servers are friendly. Food comes out hot and fast. Portions are big. Our meal was filling. Simple and hearty! My son enjoyed the view of airplanes landing. Definitely recommend this place for anyone and families.
Large portions, great tasting food, awesome staff
Nothing beats a great burger and pie!!
Great place to go! Too bad itd closing on the 26th of February
Such good food here and the most amazing pie! We went last week after hearing that they are closing at the end of the month. They were so busy, but the staff was great and super helpful. I really hope that they open up in a new location!
Good food, service and the best pies! You will be missed.
Fly for Pie is awesome Garry Atkins is a tool
Their slogan is I fly for pie for a good reason. People actually fly their little planes to this airport to eat pie. It is that good.
Cute location and amazing pies servoce was friendly unfortunately closed now.
Pies, plains, and patio (were did they move too) New location? Anyone know??
The best food for the best price and the best pie in town. I can feed 3 people for 40 bucks and I will be full AND VERY SATISFIED. If you ever go through Chilliwack, I highly recommend you come here. Its DELICIOUS!
Excellent food as well as great pies
Yummy food, and even better pies, plus service is always amazing
A great little place that is a local favourite. VERY reasonable prices, consistently good food. restaurant is a bit generous as its really the end of a hallway. Its more of a coffee shop (the name of the place is accurate) or diner. FAMOUS for its pies! Definitely a great place for a very casual breakfast. Not at ALL dressy or high-class.
28 years of good food and good view
Very tasty pies in a quirky location. Service was great.
Best pies anywhere. Dont pass this place up. A bit pricey, but worth it. Get there early cuz they are very busy and there wont be much of a selection after lunch.
