Grammy's Place in Chilliwack

Hi there. I have been wanting to drop by and give my condolences to the folks over there and to Grammy and her family in person but due to the circumstances, I have not had a chance to see her and I am in the process of moving away. I wont likely be back to the restaurant between now and when I leave. So, If somebody could pass along my well wishes and deepest condolences and also my thanks for the wonderful gathering place she has made in our community. It is so seldom we see such compassion for others especially when it comes to business. The giving tree and the always positive interactions I saw directed towards me, and to all of the various customers that come in, is something that would make our world better if more businesses and peoples attitudes were built around the kindness and feeling of home that Grammys place does. Just to make it Grammys place better, her food is amazing! Or rather I should say her sweets. I always intended to go for a meal but as soon as I walked in there and saw the beautiful cakes and cookies my mind went right to the yummy desserts! I was never judged for being a bigger woman enjoying her sweets and that was a gift that I got from Grammy and the rest of the folks that are there. I was able to show how much I liked goodies without shame. With gratitude I wish peace to everyone who is a part of Grammys place. Vegetarian options: The menu often has gluten-free or diabetes friendly sweets and when there was a fundraiser a while back, I was provided a vegetarian option. Kid-friendliness: It is a family restaurant and that includes kids being around at times and they are welcome. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a parking spot rate at the front and no stairs to get in to the restaurant and staff will always make sure theres room for maneuvering the wheelchair.

Small area approx 8-10 tables. 2-6 people sitting when tables are arranged accordingly. This was the 2nd time visiting. 1st time was middle of the day ...fast service, food was good so agreed to have sunday brunch. We waited over an hour after ordering our food. Was it busy ? 4 orders before ours. But was told Grammy is the only cook. Food arrived , Eggs were done incorrectly and the pancakes were not cooked in the middle. We didnt have time to send it back after waiting for so long. Paid almost $50 for 2 breakfast. Will reconsider visiting during brunch. I advise to go when its not busy.

So yummy, I got a Benny breakfast bowl and that shit was smackin, holy guacamole. The inside feels like a mom and pop shop. Servers were very kinda. Cooks were cute. Get some of granny s munch

There is love and kindness here, in the food and the people. It is truly a family place, and you are part of it when you are there. One of the staff did a very kind thing for me today when she didnt have to, and it wont be forgotten. ps - dont miss the cheesecake, its fantastic.

If it wasnt for another business referral we would have never known about this cafe. The stop for lunch was unexpected but the food made it well worth the time! Luckily we didnt have to sing for our lunch but will do it next time for sure! The carrot cake is to die for and the homemade bread makes everything feel just right with the world.

The service was fine but the price was not worth it for the food. My friend got a ceaser wrap and my other friend and I got side ceasers. The ceaser dressing was either sour cream or Greek yogurt and had no parm just lettuce sour cream and croutons. The coffee wasn t great but my sandwich was good. About $23 per meal.

Happy little shop for breakfast. Larger sized coffee cups, potatoes seasoned. Portions large. Im big. I bearily finished a double benny. Great waitress great food. Definitely coming back. Thank you!! Love this place off the first go.

The food was delicious and definitely homemade. The service was delightful and the waitress was kept hopping. It was very busy there, which is always a good sign. The temperature was 32°C and the waitress kept apologizing for the heat. Hahaha. It wasnt her fault of course. My recommendation is to go try it for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised.

The food was delicious and came quickly for how busy they were. Service was excellent with polite and prompt servers. Prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were much larger than expected. By far the best place for a meal here in Chilliwack. Fantastic service and we had breakfast that was a huge portion. The waitresses were more than friendly. The coffee was fresh and strong. They serve the coffee in huge cups. The toast is homemade bread and great pan fries. Your choice of eggs with bacon and sausages. We want to go back again for lunch and dinner. If you are going anywhere else you are going to miss great food and service.

Although the food was homemade, and my breakfast was enjoyable, we waited 40 minutes for our food and had to ask to have our menu s brought to us when we arrived after waiting for 7 minutes. The coffee was quite terrible and each one of us got cream that had gone bad so we found chunky cream in our coffee. The waitress did not charge us for them though which was kind. Definitely has the potential to be amazing but when you go to a restaurant you expect to have your food in a timely fashion, not 40 minutes later.

Food is amazing - the chef looks like she really enjoys her job and cooks up a good meal. It may seem it is pricey, but you get soooo much food, and it is really good tasting.

Such friendly service!! The girl in the pink shirt did an excellent job on her first day! I also appreciate that the kitchen staff go above and beyond to serve great food! Cute looking has a 30:chairs there was 15 people they were serving. had beef dip it was awful bread tastes off says you can add poutine to your fries it was not real poutine just cheddar not true poutine, beef dip was plain and gravy looked packaged gravy no flavor, soup is 10 dollars my meal was 23 burgers are 22 nothing on that menu is 10 dollar only dessert will not waste my money there it was the same prices as bow and stern downtown rather go there coffee was burned tastes off

The food is amazing and the portions are huge! I did have a long wait time, but to be fair, they had a big family order just before me, and I had a new waitress. The food was tasty and I enjoyed that their bread was made in-house. Kid-friendliness: Great family restaurant.

Every time I order an egg omelet or breakfast wrap the eggs are completely raw and not cooked on the inside. The food itself is very yummy, I just really wish they would fully cook their eggs, I can t eat snotty white egg :(

I was looking forward to trying this place because of the good reviews, but was disappointed. I am very surprised that this place has the reviews it does. The sandwich I ordered was bland and soggy. The soup tasted like it was from a can. They also have the worst coffee. All came out to $25 which was not cheap and the food was definitely was not worth the money I spent. I would not recommend this place nor will I come back.

Terrible place to order food from. Poutine is soggy and it is not cheese curds. Actually, everything is soggy because of the poor containers. No fork, no knife, no napkin. Eat with your hands kind of mentality. Very poor experience

First time grammy customers!! My family and I went in to get some cake for my husbands birthday . We felt welcomed immediately & they spoiled our daughter with treats! We got the PB cheese cake , lemon cheese cake & carrot cake . It was delicious! Food

We had a large group of us visit Grammys Place and were delighted by the amazing service and massive portions! I would recommend getting a side of the homemade cranberry toast & jam! I grabbed a slice of the carrot cake cheesecake to-go & it was heavenly. We would all recommend stopping into Grammys Place.

Great service good home made food

We had high hopes for this place but sadly the food was not great and the prices are so high I could hardly justify ordering. The home made bun was just not good as a base for the Benny because it became very soggy, very fast. The bacon was like jerky & the pan potatoes served with the Benny were disappointing. Some were mushy like mash & other parts were undercooked & almost raw. I ordered the poached eggs medium/soft & they were cooked hard. I mentioned it & they brought me 2 more hard poached eggs in a bowl with water. Not sure what was going on there. Overall, not a great experience other than the decor which was nice. By high prices I mean that the prices were between $7-$10 more per dish than other restaurants we go to regularly, for the same dish, eg - Eggs Benny, Breakfast wrap, etc.

Love this place. This was not my first time, nor would it be my last. The grilled cinnamon buns are absolutely fabulous. Combine that with the prompt, friendly staff and down home atmosphere, you have the perfect place for a coffee date or quiet place a way from the business of life.

My husband and I went to Grammys Place this morning for breakfast. The food was sooo delicious and the service was wonderful! We were super happy with the entire experience. You cant beat the taste of homemade everything (especially homemade bread and jam). Yum! This place is a total gem!!

I had the Eggs Benny. The Hollandaise sauce is delicious, and the bread was really good, just wished the eggs were a little more runny. Service was excellent.

Great place for home cooked meals.

A cozy little place thats a blink and youll miss it part on the road. But man oh man is the food good! I had the turkey clubhouse with the soup of the day (clam chowder). Super filling and left me satisfied! Actual turkey and not the deli sliced stuff! I will be coming back for sure!

Great little hidden gem. Cure and cozy ambiance. The service was impeccable. Prices were good in comparison to portions. Our server let us know up front that they were training a new cook and apologized in advance if food service was a little slow. Also, to let them know if food wasnt up to par. My wife had eggs Benny, which was delicious. I had the stuffed french toast which was not prepared to my liking. Instead of cooking the French toast individually on both sides and then sandwiching them together with cream cheese filling, they sandwiched it together first and then grilled it, leaving the center raw. Also, the cream cheese filling was just regular cream cheese spread. Would be better if it was a whipped cream cheese filling. I did mention this to the server and she offered to make me a new one but I declined. I gave her my opinion, as above and she thanked me for my feedback. As I mentioned, the portions were pretty big. We also had a slice of cheesecake, which was delicious. I recommend Grammys as a hidden gem. Kid-friendliness: They have a little play area for kids.

Absolutely amazing stuff here, it was my very first time coming and they were very sweet to me would definitely recommend coming here!! And the muffin I got was also absolutely perfect.

We went here today for brunch, and we both had the Pas clubhouse sandwich with their homemade cream of mushroom soup. Finished it off sharing a huge piece of their homemade carrot cake. All their items are HUGE servings. You have to try this place out. They make homemake everything they can from their bread, soups and buns to their homemade hamburger patties and real roast turkey. This is our new place to go in Chilliwack. I will be trying everything on their menu. Also, amazing customer service. Even got to meet Grammy herself. This place is a real treasure! PS Sorry no photos, but the food looked as good as it tasted.

Food is exceptionally good. Really hits the home made mark. Staff are wonderful and Grammy is, as expected, your Grammy, my Grammy, everybody s Grammy. I had eggs Benny. It was served on home made bread / biscuits toasted and served with home fries. Everything was piled high, so much food and the value was really good. Fresh coffee and lots of smiles.

So was recommended to visit this place by many people and I truly can say this place is a great place to go. The atmosphere is welcoming and kind as if visiting your favourite grandma and being fed the finest of food offerings. Locate on Alexander I advise caution to order a meal first do not be distracted by the most excellent display of cakes, cookies and delicacies. Save that for after you order their delicious meals first. I brought my wife here to try we ordered two sandwiches, the turkey cranberry and the turkey cordon blue. Both were excellent made with real turkey and homemade bread try a taste of nostalgia if you grew up having if not come experience what you may have missed in you childhood. The portions are lavish large and tasty and like I mention the cakes are delicious and a welcome finish to the meal. I shall return with open heart and empty stomach for this truly is a gem of a place.

Everything is homemade and so delicious!

One word: quality. Got the turkey on Cranberry sandwich, with the Hugh add on. Bread grilled so it was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Turkey meat was juicy and tender, and a good helping of it too. Loved every bite, and I look forward to coming back!

I recently tried the traditional Benny and cordon bleu sandwich at Grammys place in Chilliwack. The Benny was perfectly poached, topped with a flavorful hollandaise sauce. The cordon bleu sandwich was packed with tender chicken, ham, and melted cheese. Both dishes were delicious, huge portions, and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend trying this place.

Four of us visited on a Sunday for brunch. Place is small but the tables turn over relatively quickly. Quantities good size but rather pricey. Coffee needs some improvement -- seemed sour.

First of all the servings are ginormous! The pan-fried potatoes are so good! Eggs Benny delicious! French toast sandwhich yummy! The bread is baked in house, and the slices are huge, spectacular, and delicious! They catered to my husbands request for low carb and substituted tomatoes for pan-fried potatoes. His omellete was super tasty. Oh, and did I mention the take out pastries.....

Great food, everything is homemade from bread to jams. Their meals are more than enough for one. If you have a hungry soul in your life, bring them to Grammys, you wont leave disappointed!

Awesome, the service here is unrivalled; good food; went with my parents and were very well taken care of; leaving very happy and satisfied.

Everything was great. Missed on the Minestrone soup, was more like tomato cabbage, but still delicious. The carrot cake was superb.

Very family friendly! Was quite surprised at the cozy atmosphere and large (delicious) portions. Definitely check this place out, its a gem! Kid-friendliness: Very chill to have an under 1yr old with you while dining. They have books and toys for kids. Drawing contests. Changing table in the bathroom is a huge plus. The wait staff are also very lovely with kids.

Some of the best comfort food Ive ever had, everything was amazing, every ingredient seemed to be meticulously prepared to culminate into a masterpiece of taste, exploding over your taste buds. The ONLY complaint is lack of service, for such large portions, we were only checked on at the beginning and end of the meal, I filled my water in the bathroom faucet to wash the food down instead of waiting. When I spoke up, I was ignored, probably because its a small store and very, very busy. Also, when I substituted pouting the second time I went here, the fries portion was cut in half, but I was charged much more, that made no sense, pay $4 more for half the normal amount of fries with some gravy and a little cheese? No, Ill never order a poutine again, hoping that was a mistake, but Im not to take the chance. But if youre looking for great prices (average $25 per person) and very large delicious portions, come to Grammys for sure.

Absolutely lovely. Sandwich (BLT) and soup (butternut squash) was SO GOOD, and the servers were all lovely and cheerful. Will be back for sure.

Best food when you have money or not they are always there to help you get food in your stomach and nourish your hunger to keep on keeping on and I really appreciate everything you guys have done for me the few times that Ive been there for free breakfast when I was in need. Great place food just

We came all the way from Vancouver to visit chilliwack, and we wanted something local, we found this place, and after we tried the food, we thought it was the best place ever you were not gona regret it, and also the owner is so amazing!

Everything is soooooo amazing

It was our first time here after hearing so many raves about this place and OMG! What a hidden gem in Chilliwack! We ordered a Turkey and cran with a side of fries, ham and Swiss with a side of cold pasta and a slice of their pina colada cheesecake! Everything was amazing!!!! I can t wait to go back and try out other things on their menu. To top it off, their customer service was top notch!

The food here is on point - Ive had the chili, lemon cake and sticky bun. All were delicious, definitely home cooked! Not to mention the amazing staff - they treat you like family. Ill be back!

First time trying Grammy s Place the other day. I will never go anywhere else for a home style restaurant setting. Grammy s Place the moment you walkthrough the door you feel the warm embrace of all the happy smiles and welcoming hello s. The food is delicious and will not disappoint. I had never heard of Grammy s Place before and so it was a new experience and I can greatly say they will have my business every-time I venture out to Chilliwack. The Staff is exceptional, the food is AMAZING and the restaurant itself is nice and comfortable. Would 100% recommend this place to everyone in the Chilliwack area or stopping in Chilliwack for the day! Keep up the great work Grammy you make Chilliwack so much better!

Now I cannot speak for the staff as my order was doordashed but Im sure they are great. However the food I received was awful. I ordered a club sandwhich and turkey cranberry; the clubhouse came untoasted despite showing a toasted sandwhich on the menu, and both had an extreme amount of mayonnaise on them, and I like mayonnaise. The soup, while tasting just ok was very unappetizing in texture. And the caeser salad was more dressing than salad, making it a soggy mess. I definitely would not get food here again, doordash or otherwise.

The taste of the food is the only reason for 2 stars. The service however was subpar, our servers shorts were exposing her rear, the coffee was terrible, and slow would be an understatement. We arrived with only one other table seated, we ordered and another table came in. They received their food first....we waited 30 minutes for sandwiches, and even then only 1 of 3 meals came. We waited over 5 minutes for the other 2. The clubhouse however was fantastic; the homemade bread was some of the best. The pesto sauce on the turkey pesto sandwich was delicious and the meatball sub was so flavorful

I ordered a piece of black forest cake. It was beat up and HAD A WHITE HAIR IN IT!! Blechhhhh! Not gonna order from here again. Oog..

Lunch was amazing Large portions I had the ham and cheese Panni with soup. STAFF were very friendly too.

Grammys place is still making its way in the restaurant world, as they have been only open for 7 months and are still working out the kinks like all new places do, but for my family(5) we all give it a 5 star, service is great, food is awesome with everything made in house everyday and its fresh and thats what they thive on, the atmosphere is awesome as well....if you are looking for a place to have homemade food made fresh everyday, then this is the place to come, its small yes but well worry it.

I ordered take outthe menu said fresh vegetables and I got California mix frozen vegetables not only that they microwaved in front of meand threw it in the box all of the food was soaked in the moisture from the microwaved food. If I could give a worse review I would.

Grammy s Place is a delight to visit. The food is delicious and what makes the experience even better is how eager the owner and staff are to make sure their guests are well taken care of and leave happy. Don t skip this gem!

My favourite local restaurant! Best cheesecake and a variety of flavours to choose from. The cranberry bread is my favourite! Have it with a sandwich or to Take home

Ate at grammys a few times , really great food and everything is made from scratch ! Definitely recommend if you havent tried the food yet .

LOVED!!! Amazing customer service and amazing food. I got the Veggie Panini on sourdough with soup and hubby got turkey sandwich on cranberry bread with fries as his side. We also got one scone with blueberry jam. Everything is made fresh. Their business card says Eva Myhre is the chef so I just want to say they re amazing at cooking these food because I m definitely going to go back for more.

I cant speak to the staff as my meal was doordashed, but not only was my order incorrect the parts they got correct were awful. The soup was covered in an oil film and was just inedible, the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. The child mac&cheese was disgusting and pasty. I didnt even bother to try to bun that came with the soup. Just threw it all away. Definitely read through the reviews, I just thought the bad ones were being to hard. Learned my lesson.

The ultimate best hidden gem in Chilliwack! Food is consistently delicious with amazing home cooked, large portions. You will not get better for your dollar! Staff are always friendly and ready to accommodate their guests. Owner is the best and most welcoming person you will ever meet. Their slogan of where you come home to eat is the truest advertisement My family and I have ever experienced.

Absolutely amazing I wish I could give more stars! The food is just outstanding and the service was above and beyond! They are so helpful, kind, and personable. I will recommend to everyone that I know, and even those that I dont t Vegetarian options: They have the best vegetarian panini in town! Dietary restrictions: The cook/owner is so accommodating to my gluten and calorie diet! Kid-friendliness: My son has autism and I normally dont take him to many places but I feel so right at home here and they are so good with him that Im totally comfortable taking him out for lunch in town Wheelchair accessibility: My mother is in a wheelchair and we were able to get on and out no problem! The staff changed around tables and chairs for us

I just have to say everything from this place is absolutely amazing from the food to the service they go above and beyond i ordered through skip they made a mistake and tried to get ahold of me to fix it right away i wasnt able to get back i ordered again today and they gave us yummy cakes, first time ordering they gave us cookies! Grammys will always hold a special place in my heart something i have been missing is the taste of grammys place thank you so much to everyone for all your hard work good job

How do I find this place? When I look on google maps and looking for options for breakfast, I came across this place in a list of breakfast restaurants and its wont show the front of Grammys place and no clue what to look for when finding this place or how to find it. Would give more properly accurate rating once I find this place and eat here
