🍣The best sushi 🍱 in Chilliwack 💯 Good price, good choice, friendly waitress !
Ordered on the app the night before because we are out of towners. Arrived next day at Gon Sushi at the requested pick up time and the order was ready. Everything was delicious. Owners were efficient and friendly. Glad we found this place.
Been taking out for years here. Recently the food quality has gone down considerably. Had it last week and the chicken Don was a little dry and not much sauce like usual. I tried again tonight and let them know about my past experiences. The chicken Don was worse. Not much meat like usual and it was dry and overcooked. I don't know if they have a new cook. I recommend trying a different place. Very disappointed since I have done take out for years here
Their authentic asian options is the winner, i normally get the lunch / dinner box for roughly $30 including tip and tax but the food quantity is usually more than what you expect them to give you, we ordered 2 dinner box and it came with sushi and what you see in this picture. Give them 5 star because they have been running cooking with diesel before, during and after covid pandemic, best choice for contractors and laborers who need lots of good stuff to keep up with their work!
Wow. Stopped by cause I had a tofu teriyaki craving and was astounded at the presentation. Normally it's a slab of tofu on some sautéed greens and rice...this was so good! The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Huge fresh mushrooms and brocoli accompanied it with plenty of sauce. This was without a doubt best I have ever had. My Guy got the dragon roll- also a thumbs up he said. We shared some yam tempura (pic shows 2 missing we tried before I remembered to snap it). This was extremely light, not at all greasy and very delicate. Service was very attentive. The place is spotless with lots of cleaning going on as soon as tables got up too. Bathrooms were spotless. I cannot wait to come back.
I ordered Rainbow Roll, ½ Salmon Sashimi, ½ Tuna Sashimi, Assorted Tempura and a bowl of rice. Originally I was going to only give them 3 or 4 stars. They brought me burnt rice cooker rice. A FAUX PAS to an Asian from a restaurant. A mention and the server immediately replaced it with a fresh bowl of rice. They redeemed themselves and earned their 5 stars because the rest was very fresh, very good with very decent portions. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Additionally, I really appreciate it when a sushi restaurant actually cuts the sashimi to proper grade and removes the sinewy parts. Nothing worse than a sushi restaurant that charges for top shelf then serves paper thin end cuts. These guys are good!
The sunomono salad was very nice, sweeter than some. The sushi was very nice. However I’ve had better crazy boy rolls elsewhere.
We absolutely adore this restaurant and make it a stop whenever we are in Chilliwack! Their portion sizes are HUGE and we always walk away full and satisfied! Their waitresses are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is so cool! Pictured is the Dinner Box A! We'll be back again soon!

Amazing sushi, lovely people!
I ordered the deep fried tuna roll and BC roll. Both delicious. The deep fried tuna roll is something I havent seen before. Nori on the outside, tempura fried and a nice sauce on top. Simple but great.
Got a dynamite roll, beef yaki soba, gyoza, and miso soup. Everything was 10/10, easily the best Ive had in the valley. Will definitely come back many more times!
The food was good, prices were ok. The problem I had was the beef in the Japchae. There were bones (Im assuming it was short rib meat and the bone was left on) which wouldnt have been a huge issue... BUT. There were LITTLE SHARDS of bone strewn throughout some of the beef. Could have chipped our teeth on it. Some of the pieces of meat were inedible cause of the shards of bone being throughout. I have NEVER experienced something like this before.

When you ask to add avocado with your salmon maki and you get this?? This is laughable

When we needed sushi and we were camping nearby, this place fit the bill. Good rolls at a good price and all the ginger I could ask for.
We moved to Chilliwack about 6 years ago and tried all the sushi places. This is the one we come back to week after week. The sashimi and special rolls are staples, we also enjoy the spicy tuna roll, tempura, and gyoza. Love the staff too!

Best Japanese food I ever had!
Went here last night with my 2 boys. Food came up fast and was very good! Service was excellent. We had multiple specialty rolls (2 deep fried) and most of the food came up within 5 minutes of the rest. We will be back!
I always order takeout from here and its always been good. I usually order for a group of friends and weve never had mistakes happen. The sushi is always good. Im a fan of Tempura and their appetizer portion is a good size and I always tend to have leftovers. The dynamite spicy role is also my go to and its never disappointed me. Im looking forward to trying the spicy salmon combo next time as it looks delicious and you get a good portion with that too.

Had two udon dishes, one beef and one chicken neither of them had chicken or beef. The noodles were so plentiful it made the soup unpleasant. This is a very UNSAVORY dish!
The worst Sushi I ve had. Dry fish, small portions, high prices and horrible staff. Don t waste your money in this place.
I dont remember the name of the roll, (pink something?) All I remember is it had Mango, cream cheese, salmon and a blue berry sauce. It was the best roll I have had in years. It just worked. 100% recommend.
I have nothing really to say about the restaurants atmosphere as Ive only started ordering from Gon since the pandemic and either have only been in to pick-up, or had delivery. The food however is fantastic. Everytime I have ordered from here, the food has been fresh, tastes delicious, my orders have always been right, and the food seems like it is prepared with great care. Definitely one of my fav places in Chilliwack, and definitely one of my fav places in the lower mainland for sushi. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free items

A really good sushi restaurant try their red dragon roll
Their sushi is just above average of Chilliwack places but the price is definitely more reasonable than others.
Great qualifty sushi thats within price range. My newfound Japanese restaurant in Chilliwack Fresh sashimi, I love the presentation of food and bigger portions! Theres more than enough selections of rolls, and they have lunch box specials until 4 pm! We usually phone in to order our table to be set for us! Its worth the drive going to Vedder side from downtown. I dont have to go all the way west for a great sushi!

Best sushi in Chilliwack hands down. Nice rolls and flavour combos. Unlike lesser places each roll has its Own taste. Prices are average for the area.

Easy take out. Cali rolls, inari, crunch roll, tempura. Kids like it. Have not done dine in yet. Like that they are so close to our home.

Do not order sashimi dish. It was not worth $28(14pcs) They weren t fresh. Tuna was too watery and the texture was completely ruined. Tako(wrinkled )and ebi were so thin and also had NO flavour. I felt like I got ripped off. Never again.
This is tied for 1st place in Chilliwack for me. The food and service is great and I will definitely be back. I enjoyed every bite.
Just had a very disappointing experience with mushy & cold salmon teriyaki. It was inedible. I sent it back but what was brought out later was no better.
Ordered from skip at 3:30. Delivered at 5:05. Missing 3/4 of my order. I call them, they insist the driver grabbed both bags. The one bag I did get contained a soggy deep fried roll that they informed me was sitting for over an hour waiting on skip. Like how disappointing is it that you think its okay to send out food like that. It made me write this review because they literally didnt care how the food was when it got to me. As a restaurant, regardless if its skips issue, you should always make sure youre food is too notch, unfortunately thats the cost you have to incur when you use 3rd party delivery. Look at all the extra revenue overall they make you, and literally you guys didnt care at all and started at bag sitting at the front, knowing the rolls are deepfried just getting soggy. Last time we spent $106. And this time $59. Just beware folks. I would rate zero if I could just for the lack of accountability let alone this unedible roll.
Do NOT Eat Here! I got FOOD POISONING after eating here. After I got home from this sushi restaurant it just hit me, my stomach started feeling queasy, bloated and extremely painful and it just got worse from there. Never eating there again! What a horrible experience!
Great food and great service. The server was super helpful and the food was delicious. The chicken wings were amongst the best I ve ever eaten and my picky kids devoured those and the gyoza! The server recommended the red dragon roll as it was their most popular and I see why it was finger licking good! Will be back.

Best sushi Ive ever had!! We drive across town specifically for Gon! Owners are so polite and always do an amazing job.
The sushi quality was very good and came out incredibly fast. There is no ambiance. They do sacrifice some of the quality for speed by premaking and refrigerating items like the ebi sunomono. Service also struggle because they are super busy with takeout.
Enjoyed the food. Reasonably priced and fast service. Food was ready within minutes after ordering.

This is our go-to place for Japanese food, be it take-out or dine in. Its a small storefront with old and tired decor, but when the flavours are this good, whos looking?!
Not happy with the order we just received. Picked up our dinner and the avocado roll was 2/3 cucumber and 1/3 avocado. The asparagus roll was gross. The asparagus was extremely over cooked to the point it looked rotten plus they added more cucumber. Most of the rolls feel apart.

First time there. Tuna did not seem fresh - poor texture, taste, and color. Cucumber/avocado roll barely had avocado in it. Rice seemed dry. Upon paying, I asked if there was wasabi and ginger in the bag. The girl said yes. I took another just to be sure I had some. When I got home, sure enough, there was none in the bag. I guess its up to the customer to remember to ask for it. Im glad that others have found the food good there.

Best sushi rolls in Chilliwack. Happy to stop in every time. Colour. Taste. So good. Great place for sushi. I usually get salmon rolls and they are cut so big and tastes amazing. Hard to compete with perfection. Competes with Vancouvers quality. The photo provided is a party tray I m noming on. Look at that tuna. Wow.
Gon sushi has the best Salmon Don bowl (sashimi over rice) in the city!!! You are given a generous portion of salmon sashimi and the rice + seasoning is on point. Having tried other Salmon Don bowls at other restaurants... they do not come close to Gon Sushi s. Also, we normally get California, dynamite rolls and chicken yakisoba for the kids and hubby which they really enjoy. That said Gon Sushi is our choice sushi restaurant in Chilliwack.
Red dragon roll is killer. Best sushi coming from someone born in Richmond. Chilliwack has gon sushi to give me a taste of home and quality.

We always order house platter with extra salmon rolls. Last time we tried something new and it was delicious definitely this is my favorite sushi place to go.we ordered chicken teriyaki, chicken wings, and house rolls. Teriyaki sauce is just perfection of sweetness and sauce..looking forward to try all different things from your menu. Amazing staff and never had to wait for food. They are on skip the dishes too. Skip prices are different than take out menu but worth it when you have food coming to your doorstep. Looking forward to dine in whenever everything is back to normal..keep it up dont change what youre doing

Mountain roll was amazing. Mixture of crunch, rice, fresh salmon and crab. The different flavours and textures make it a great eat. Restaurant is clean and well set out. Service was great. Food came out in a flash. The food that was meant to be hot was steaming hot, and the food that was meant to be cold was chilled.

Great sushi, great service. My friend ordered the spicy beef teriyaki, not realizing it came with mushrooms. Without hesitation, the chef said hed remake it right away. Well prepared and came out quick. Will return.

Quality sushi with great flavour. Service could have been a little quicker, but otherwise a good choice for their specialty rolls. Be prepared to pay a little extra, though.

Came here with some friends and it was highly recommended. Service was great, the food came out super fast, and most importantly it was fantastic. Just had some rolls this time and they were all beautiful to look at as well as very fresh and tasty!
