Best sushi in Chilliwack bar none! The Monkey Brain bowl (no rice!) was sooo good! Aburi was excellent too. Great wonton soup. 12 page menu! Only issues were lousy sake containers that spilled when pouring, & our poor overloaded server (not her fault, only one girl serving 15 tables!) that struggled to help with the mid-meal requests (forks, more napkins, drinks, extra tempura dipping sauce etc). Regardless the food is excellent & that's what it's all about! 5 stars!
We visited today for our dinner. My daughter ordered more food usually what we need for 4 people 2 adult and 2 kid. We couldn’t eat everything, so ask them for a take out box. We put everything in that box but unfortunately we forgot to take it, as my family need to go cottonwood mall. Within 15mins while we identify didn’t took that box from this restaurant. I went there immediately and looking for my daughter’s food. Unfortunately they trashed that food, reason behind their food safety policy, which i understood. But surprisingly they don’t care for their customers which is very concerning. They didn’t even ask to remake a that monster roll for my daughter, whereas we paid $12 tip for their service as well. I’ll never visit your restaurant again. Thank you guys :(
Ordered takeout and when I got home I noticed that one of the boxes was leaking and it made a mess on my car seat. I’ve ordered take out from many restaurants in the past and this never happened to me. The teriyaki had no flavour and the overall quality and freshness of the vegetables and chicken was poor. It tasted like it was made a few days ago and they just reheated it. I was very disappointed as this restaurant has a 4.3/5 rating on Google and I was expecting a positive experience but I cannot recommend this place.
Food was okay as we're super hungry. 🤣 One thing I didn't like was the server telling us that they were short staff so order bento box as it is easy and fast for them to make.

This is a really awesome place with great service. Our food was amazing. I got the bulgogi, and it was probably the best I've had, served on a hot cast iron pan. I'd love to eat here again in the future
Pretty mediocre. I will start with the pro's: 1. Close to Tesla supercharger. 2. Everything is fresh. 4. Lots of parking on weekend. I think that's all the pro's. Cons: 1. The rice is blant. Should be more spiced. 2. The plates are metallic. Which is nice, but the rice gets stuck to the metal and the rolls are falling apart when you lift from plate. 3. Water was never refilled. 4. Only full salt soy sauce at the table, haven't seen it for a while now. All the other sushi restaurants I have been to during the past couple of years, offer low sodium as a default. 5. Most of the rolls we tried were unusually blant and lacking taste, or oversalted. 6. Ginger had a very artificial taste, it was like eating ginger in a perfume, pretty common for cheap ginger. Sorry, will not be back. Definitely is not worth the price. Wonder why there are such great reviews online. P. S. Wasn't able to lock one of the cabins in women's restrooms. Had to switch the cabin.
It’s ok. The food wasn’t the greatest. I am not much of a complainer when it comes to food but when you had ramen in multiple places and the chicken karaage. You begin to learn what is good and what is bad and before anyone says you need to go to Japan to know what good really is, then to you I will say I have been there and I have had the ramen and have been to the fish market to get sushi. And no I am not comparing this place to the places in Japan , because that wouldn’t be fair. But I am comparing it to the other areas that I have been in Canada or USA. But the chicken Karaage is pretty embarrassing, the texture was very chewy and tasteless also It wasn’t fried properly and on top of that, there was little to NO chicken on it, I felt that I was just eating breading. Don’t believe me, see the picture and you will know what I mean. The roll was decent, big which is fine but decent. The ramen was ok. Not a must but if you haven’t had it then try it somewhere else not here.

I am so disappointed. Im not a frequent regular, but occasionally, and recently Ive switched to plant-based eating. Today, I ordered the vegetable gyoza, which, much to my dismay, was absolutely pork gyoza. I asked in advance, I called afterwards, and when I said it looks like pork, tastes like pork, the server said I dont know what to tell you. Im not stupid. There is no way that was tofu at all. I havent eaten meat in a year, but I cook it regularly, as well as tofu sometimes, and there is absolutely no way that was not pork. The part that bothers me is the lack of accountability that maybe there was a mistake? No. Im wrong because it said vegetable gyoza on the receipt. This is incredibly frustrating, and I wonder how many others were deceived, ordering something that was supposedly meat free when its not. Youve lost my trust, and consequently a customer. Vegetarian options: Apparently the vegetarian options include meat, so beware.

Our server was really rude and pushy. She sat us in a dark booth so we couldn t read the menu. We asked to be moved but the tables were not cleaned from the last customers. The plate size has changed and they charge you more. I had the Alaskan roll and when I got it, it was half the size than usual and dry. The tempera I had was over cooked and became soggy and tasteless. My family and I will not be returning.

Nah, this was bad. Tempura Udon came sadly with a mushroom chopped and about 5 leaves of lettuce with two limp cold tempura shrimp on the side. No veggies so get the bento box instead for more tempura! The sushi combo was again just awful with the California rolls dry as if made prior. We eat out constantly and things happen but this was worth the review.
My husband and I both had the salmon bento boxes, lots of high quality food at a very reasonable price served promptly with a smile! Highly recommend!

I called in an order today.It was a Red Dragon Roll&Dynamite roll.When I was told it would be over $30 I canceled the order.If we contiune to pay way to much the price will go up more.Dont get me wrong I do understand cost. Look up cost per serving,Wake up BC and tell the restaurant NO.
This is my favourite sushi restaurant ever, I live in hope and will drive out just for the sushi. Excellent experiences in both eating inside the restaurant and ordering for take out. Today I ordered the jumbo crispy gyoza + a spicy tuna roll. The tuna is always so fresh, this is the only sushi restaurant I feel comfortable eating raw fish at. The jumbo crispy gyoza is a new favourite - the photo on the menu showed what looked like 3 large gyoza, so when I received 5 - I was thrilled! Delicious pork filling in a crispy coating and they re huge! each one is the size of my fist.
Came here. Only 2 servers were friendly. The rest of the staff was grumpy and awful. Tried to charge me a whole roll plus the combo when I asked to substitute. California mango roll was horrible. Wouldnt recommended and wont be back

Absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I stopped here in the middle of a road trip. After several days of fast food/hotel food, this place absolutely blew us away. Everything we ordered was delicious - I would especially recommend the spicy pork wraps, the tuna poke salad, and the bulgogi. The rice was perfect and the kimchi was amazing. Everything tasted very fresh and well made, and was beautifully plated. The meal made me wish I lived here, but the next time I am passing through I will 100% be back. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. Vegetarian options: There is an entire section of the menu that is vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: There is also an entire page of gluten free menu items.
Avocado roll almost no Avocado and stuffed with way to much cucumber..to much LTBDQ going on ..please don t force it on people

Hana Sushi offers a friendly, clean and fast dining experience. Food came out fast, it was delicious and the staff checked on our table often to make sure everything was in order.

Food was top notch. We had the spicy pork Bibimbap and a couple of sushi rolls, and nothing disappointed. The serving staff were courteous and checked in with us often throughout our meal. We are fairly new to Chilliwack but for the foreseeable future, Hana Sushi will be our go-to restaurant for both Japanese and Korean food.
Ill preface this by saying Ive been to about 100 different sushi places from Vancouver to Kelowna and I am extremely impressed with Hana Sushi. The staff are friendly, focused, and quick to help. I got the tuna/salmon combo and a lunchbox and it may have been the best salmon/tuna ive ever had from a sushi place, the terriyaki chicken is also on top of the list. Definitely worth trying out

Really enjoyed the party tray and order of tempura. Tasted very fresh arrived at the table quickly, that coupled with good service makes Hana Sushi well worth a visit.
Staff were helpful and friendly and the food came super quickly! I liked how you could push a button for service. Made it easy to let staff know when we were ready to order.

Not as expected, the rice is relatively hard, and the Japanese pork chop is very dry. It cant be called Japanese food at all.
We visited this place as we crave for a Japanese food while we stay in Chilliwalk for a few days of getaway from a busy life in the city. We were greeted nicely by the staff but we were very disappointed with the food. We ordered a chicken karage that was never look and taste like a karage at all, the batter they used was probably a batter for tempura and it was overly breaded which makes sense as the chicken that they used was about 1cm thick and an inch long for each piece just to make the food looks bigger. We literally have a small bite from a piece and never touch the whole food to let them know that their food is awful. Very disappointing for its price. We would not come back to this place again.

This is by far our favorite place for Sushi in Chilliwack. The service is always top notch and the chefs are very friendly as well. One of the things that keeps us coming back since having our daughter is the fact that they have plates/bowls, spoons, and cups specifically for children. Unlike other restaurants we really feel like we are still welcome eventhough we have a tiny mess maker with us. (We always clean up whatever mess she makes to the best of our ability) Kid-friendliness: We are welcomed in with our 1 year old and everyone is always happy to see us and offer child friendly dishes

I recently went to this restaurant and found it to be one of the most mediocre sushi restaurants in Chilliwack and the greater Vancouver area. I had the salmon-Tuna combo where the fish was dry, rubbery, and somewhat tasteless while costing 20 dollars which is way more than anywhere in Vancouver. The service was slow and the waitresses were moody and insincere. To top it all off, there was this heinous Lo-Fi music playing that just kept getting worse each track and sounded like it was produced by an 11 year old trying to make it big . To give you a better idea of how bad the music was, the melody sounded like weeooeeooeoeeoeooooo ba do do . Overall, I would not go here again as it is overpriced for such small portions, the waitresses are unfriendly, and the atmosphere is horrible.

The place is good and comfortable but the rolls are not nice, they are too thick and fall apart when you try to eat. There are too much sauce on the top

I worked in Chilliwack. And I should say this is the best sushi restaurant I have been in Canada. I have no connection, no friends there. But any penny they charged me worth the food I was given anytime I visited the place. People say I am grumpy and a man of few words, but this time I could not keep it to myself. Health and success to every member of this team.

Went in the last 2 hours on a Thursday night. There were only a couple of other customers but the interior looked quite modern. This place is a Japanese-Korean with variety of things on the menu. Enjoyed the friendly service and the food came out very quickly. I d definitely want to come back again to try the rest of the menu!

The service was good. They seemed to have changed their management and all the plates were changed to stainless steel instead of the usual ceramic. I find that it interferes with the taste of the sushi and sashimi, leaving a weird taste in my mouth.
Chefs are friendly and always give a friendly greeting when you walk in. Food is top notch and service is good.

Had the Go Crazy roll and a Spider Roll here today for dinner both were very tasty, my kids shared one of the dinner boxes which looked like a very generous portion. I would definitely return as the food and service were both excellent!

I love this place! We often stop when we drive through chilliwack. No matter what time of day or how busy they are, the service is always excellent, the dishes come quickly, and always fresh and delicious! The smoked salmon salad is the best. :)

Its a good sushi place, pretty small and little pricey for what you get.
Never again. Our family loves trying different restaurants and we love Japanese cusines. We ve been in Chilliwack for almost a year and we have tried other Japanese restaurants and i d say to skip this one and better go with sushico or yale shushi if you want a better service. We we re welcomed by their chef in the counter telling us that they get 20% gratuity if we are more than 6 people. We didn t even get a smile from him. I mean is that how they welcome their customers? And when we are ordering the food that we want the waiter kept on telling us that it will take time for that food to be served. We appreciate for letting us know but it s like 4-5 food in the menu and it sounds like that they don t want us to order it because it will take like 30-45 minutes for them to serve it. We enjoyed their sashimi though other than that i d say you better have sushi in other Japanese restaurants in Chilliwack. They have poor customer service.

The Sashimi bowl rice was hard. The manager was rude. If he doesn t like his job..go somewhere else don t take it on the customer. Definitely food quality has dropped
We went here with another couple. My wife and I shared the spicy gyoza, the explosion roll, and monkey brains, which is a combination of crab meat, scallops, tempura avacado, and crispy noodles. Its really quite tasty. The roll and gyoza were also excellent. They have a great menu with many dishes wed like to try in the future.

We just moved to Chilliwack so I m trying out new restaurants. I ve eaten at a ton of sushi restaurants this one is medicore at best. The tuna sashimi looked great but it was chewy. Chopped scallop nigiri was so salty I couldn t eat it. California roll I ve had better at all you can eat Chinese restaurants. Won t be back here. The miso soup was pretty good though, had good flavour to it. Maru sushi in garrison crossing is by far the best sushi I ve had out this way yet.
It is an excellent place for Korean and Japanese food. Try one of the bibimbop dishes. You wont be disappointed!
This place has delicious GIANT jumbo crispy gyoza on the menu. So delicious. Also had the mango/pineapple/avocado roll, which made me happy re: tasty non-seafood offering.

Visiting bc and we originally went to a different place but did not like the atmosphere so we came here instead and were thoroughly happy with our decision. Great food, loved that we could sit outside as we had our dog with us as well and very friendly and outgoing staff! 100% recommend!

Not very celiac friendly! Surprised that they are not more accommodating when it is so easy to make sushi without gluten. Most restaurants only have gluten in the soy sauce. Disappointed cause I know that many people say it s good.

Over the top friendly server. Our came a bit late and gave us two bowls of miso soup on the house. Rolls were delicious and nicely presented.
Food was delicious, but our server was new and unfamiliar with the menu. The owner was pleasant and talkative but if you want any white wine with your meal, you had best bring it with you or go somewhere else.

Overpriced and very bland. We got 4 dishes only one of the 4 were good, never got the pop we ordered and service was mediocre. Never again.

Well, well, well, what a GREAT experience. We were just so hungry......and Hana DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Wonderful sushi, Chicken Katsu was perfection on a plate, Udon Coconut Curry was sublime, the service was TOP NOTCH, they even came by to ask how our lunch was, THATS NOT TYPICAL IN THIS DAY & AGE, well done HANA !!!! WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY RETURN! The BEST SUSHI in Chilliwack BY FAR! Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from. FRESH and well prepared! Parking: Plenty of space for your car! Kid-friendliness: Great for kids as long as they behave.

Weve been here twice now and both times the food was great. Sushi tastes fresh and the food was prepared quickly (take out). Portions are also quite large, the ahi tuna salad is gigantic! Prices are a bit high but this seems to be the norm this day eating out, its not the most expensive Sushi weve had in Chilliwack. Lots of sushi places around to check out, add this one to your list.

This is without a doubt a restaurant that provides some of the freshest most amazing food anywhere around.Their specialty rolls are spectacular...try the Ahi Tuna poke roll...the Flying Chicken roll...the Golden Bridge roll...you will not find better tasting or presented rolls elsewhere. Service is fast and very pleasant staff.

Food was okay. Potato croquettes were frozen inside. Not a bad place though and open on a Sunday. EDIT: Responding to restaurants response. You dont remember it because we didnt bother to say anything. I guess, in fairness, we didnt give a chance to correct the cold croquettes. Everything else was mostly quite good. Two of the Korean ribs were a bit too chewy, but thats the only other complaint. We (2 gals and 1 gent) were sat outside at the left-most table in the corner on Aug 14 for a late lunch. One of the staff we interacted with mentioned not being a regular staff member and just helping occasionally, but still provided an excellent interaction. We arent local, but if Im ever back that way, Id definitely choose to eat here again.

When we asked what sauces they had, the waiter denied telling us even the most popular ones. And after almost $90 for a combo, an appi and 3 maki rolls hell no!

Great food and service. I called earlier in the day and it was ready on time. The dinner Bento box plus one specialty roll feeds two people plus a little leftovers. You get what you pay for, and the quality, freshness and taste speak for themselves. In other words, the price is right Vegetarian options: The tofu dinner box is amazing. I now add on a side of tofu. Even my hubby loves it and hes not vegetarian.
Not tasty. Had ramen for takeout Ramen had no taste The pork was undercooked and the fat on it had a really repulsive flavour. Not sure what was going on there. The egg yolk was solid and even overcooked. Plus they did not give me a spoon.

Food was amazing. The Monkey Brain is awesome. The Bulgogi flat sushi rice was good but I think a bit on the sweeter side.. maybe some sorta yuzu mayo on top would probably make it perfect. The Pork Katsu was good. Overall it was a great experience. I would come back for the Monkey Brain.

One of our go-to sushi restaurants in BC. They ve got unique dressings that you can purchase to take home with you. Their Crab/Green Salad is SO good and filling. Small tip: their chicken teriyaki roll also comes with extra chicken teriyaki pieces :)
20% mandatory gratuity for a family of 6 (2 babies). Absolutely insane markup for sitting down, and very average service and hosting. Our last visit to the restaurant

When you wait 15 minutes after sitting and you havent even been asked for your drinks order its not the best experience. Left without ordering. Maybe some training for servers required.
As soon as we walked in, the cook started complaining that he was mad that we came in because he wanted to tom a break. we sat down and voiced that he wanted us to order right away so he could go on his break. we ordered and got our food, not sure if it s just the quality of the sushi or he was mad at us for coming in but the sushi was mediocre. i had a couple bites . do not recommend eating here! (our server was nice though, i think her name was Jade)
