This restaurant has the romantic atmosphere of a gas station restroom. My wife loved her Tom Yum soup, but my Yellow Curry was just OK. Lots of potatoes. It didn t rock my world.

Have been to Coconut Thai several times over the years, but I have recently been disappointed with my last two orders. Portion size has gone down, and the young man at the front counter comes across as tho he does not wish to be there, and the flavor of the pad Thai has significantly changed. Around fathers day I placed a rather large order so did not check the bags upon picking them until I was home (across town) to realize one of the items we ordered was not in the bag, but was on the bill. My most recent two dinner combination order is when we noticed the difference in portion as well as the re-attempted pad Thai, to which was gummy in texture and hosted a completely different flavor to what we had experienced in the past. We were impressed with how many prawns were included in the pad Thai as we opted for the prawn pad Thai, planning to not be hopeful about how many prawns we would actually recieve. To our surprise there was a hardy helping of prawns amidst the dish. We also noticed the spring rolls lacked flavour but were the perfect level of crisp. The salad served in our to go dishes were wilty and placed under neath the spring rolls, which were hot when placed in the box. (That might explain the wilting)

Was not a fan of Thai food, until I went there. Went for a friends birthday and every single dish was good. I been to Thailand and the food here was better. May be because it can be ordered without the hot spices . Without the spice I could actually taste and enjoy the food.

Spring rolls is good. Yellow curry is okay. The chicken pad thai is so bad. Pad Thai is so sour. We told the staff but didn t do much aside from apologizing. He didn t even suggested to refund the food. We didn t even finish the pad Thai. We just had a couple of bites since we are hoping it might turn good somehow. Maybe other food in the menu is okay hopefully. But we are not gonna come back here again.

Ordered the Pad Thai Special Combo and it was the best Pad Thai I had in a while. I just wish it s a bit spicier though.

My husband and I took our out of town company here and we were all impressed with the friendly service and delicious food. We purchased dinner served for a party of 4. It was a good selection. The portions were great. This was our first time but we will go back again. Parking: It was nice to park close to the restaurant in this strip mall location. Wheelchair accessibility: The bathroom was accessible for persons using a cane or wheelchair.

Excellent authentic dishes. Pineapple Rice and Green Curry are top shelf. Tom Yum was excellent as well.

Very clean the staff are very friendly and the food wad absolutely delicious I really recommend the sesame beef stir fry it is to die for!! Definitely will be coming back very soon!!

Always enjoy coming to this place with my husband when we get the chance, food is always awesome (you have to try the red curry duck ) and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend coming here when you need a delicious, comforting meal!

My friend and I joined our son and daughter in law for dinner at the Coconut Thai. We have been here previously and have enjoyed our meals. Coconut Thai has an extensive menu and everything looks so good so it is difficult to decide on what to order. We started out with some Thai beer and ciders and popcorn shrimp and toong tong. Very tasty. We then ordered our main dishes: D25 pad prik khing, D23 pad gra prow, D31 broccoli stir fry, D37 pad Thai. You can order chicken, beef, tofu or prawns with your choice. Everything was delicious! Oat provided excellent service and he explained the menu in response to our questions.

My first time for lunch..Food was delicious, well prepared and tasty ,only problem is portions are small.The spice was mild as i asked the drink was served with ice, great touch .All in all nice place if I am around again at lunch i will return. Worth look for off Vedder Road

Probably the worst Thai food I had. Soggy noodles for pad siew lew also they were all chopped up into pieces. Spring rolls tasted and looked like store bought even if it didn t taste good I d rather have something that s in house made. Overpriced for the quality and quantity would never visit again

when i was at coconut thai, i had the tum-yum soup, the spring rolls, and the coconut thai fried rice. All of the dishes were great but the rice was definiteley my favorite! it had a nice variety of textures. the soup is great if you want to try something new and exotic. and the spring rolls were good but basic. they needed the plum sause but over all were good. Do recommend.

Decided to stop for lunch at Coconut Thai Restaurant. Service was slow, seems they prioritize takeout. Kept with the lunch combos (available daily from 10:30am-3:30pm). Medium spicy was closer to mild. - Red curry (L1) ($13.45) - rice scoop was small. Spring roll was thick, only cabbage for filling. Soup was homey but a touch salty. Red curry was decent. Not much pork, mostly bamboo shoots. - Pad thai (L10) ($13.45) - sauce was slightly sweet. Bean sprouts were raw. Surprisingly, a good portion of noodles. Standard, typical Thai fare.

So good food just finished eating these today, highly recommended.

Highly recommend this out of the way gem! This place is better than the more than thirty Thai places I have been to in big cities all around the rest of North America and the UK. I will try to stop here anytime I am near. My dinner companion has been coming here for years and its been consistently wonderful. I loved the pad thai and the thai iced tea.

Seriously good thai restaurant and such a hidden jam. I am a big Thai food fan and tried so many places in Vancouver area and this is one of the best one i ever had. Definitely worth driving to Chilliwack for this.

The food is so flavourful and good. They always are able to tell me which dishes can be made without gluten, which I really appreciate.

Amazing! My partner and I have travelled to Thailand many times. We even took a cooking class together but weve never dou d a Thai restaurant that came close to the food in Thailand, until we came here. The Penang Curry was heavenly! It was exactly how it is from Chiang Mai, where we had that cooking class. Great service, great food.. The chicken satat was also very good. Excellent! And so was the pad Thai.

Food is very good. Aromatic thai flavours with just the right amount of spice. Totally reminded me of being in Chang Mai. Bonus drinks and food are a bargain for the quality.

Currently one of the most authentic and best priced Thai restaurants I ve been to, but it is a little bit of a drive to get there if you re anywhere in the lower mainland.

I can honestly say the best Thai food we tasted outside of Thailand . Run by a family and kept authentic. If you love Thai food check this place. I am sure you are not going to be disappointed. I wonder if they do DoorDash to Vancouver. Thank you for the experience

A group of us stopped for dinner while driving through Chilliwack. Very delicious food, good portions, lots of freshness and flavour. Staff is nice and helpful. Place was busy so it is clearly popular with locals (with good reason). We had a really nice time. Vegetarian options: They are very accommodating and prepared vegetarian options of the dishes we wanted. And the food was delicious.

What a disappointment

Three of us went last night. My daughter is gluten free. We found all dishes ordered could be made GF, except the deep fried wontons. We were asked if this was fine. Daughters partner and me are not GF, this was for us. Wish I had a pictire, lovely display of wontons. Their sevice was wonderdul and friendly. The food delicious. A great find, close to home. The seating is four large booths with tall backs and tables. Perfect for Covid standards without needing plexiglass. Ingenuity.

Amazing food great experience!

I have to have tried 10 or more items on the menu. ALL OF THEM WERE EXCELLENT. This place is a go to for whenever we have company from outta town. EXCELLENT quality food at good prices. And... they are a family run restaurant!!! Only problem... for some strange reason we find ourselves wanting take out on Tuesdays quite often... why, idk, but they are closed Tuesdays... <sigh>

I ordered seafood combo which had very large size mussels, tender shrimps and pieces of fish which were cooked just right, as a result none of them were chewy. My wife had pineapple red Curry with shrimp that was same as mine, well balance cooked. But the only thing prevent me to give 5 stars is that both dishes were too sweet. We love Thai foods and is one of our first choices wherever we go even if we are driving through highway and stop to grab something on the go. We have tried Thai food in Thailand, Hongkong, Malaysia as well as so many other ones in North America but never had that much sweetness (be it from sugar or any other ingredients) in our food. That aside, place is clean, the boys serving us were very attentive, food was hot to the end, Jasmine tea was very good.

We bought take out from them. One Thai noodle with shrimps and green curry with chicken. Both dishes tasted excellent. Really authentic Thai food. The only negative was the small portion of the rice in the curry dish. It was like only half a bowl of rice and it was not enough to even finish half the curry sauce. What a waste of the sauce. I wish they could give me double the amount of rice.

Mother s Day. Group of 7. Group waited 30 minutes just for beverages. People were served their food one by one 10 minutes apart. Waited more than an hour and a half and finally got my food.

Good red curry, bad pad thai.

As authentic as you can get in the area. We ordered the pad kee mow, beef salad and Tom-kha Khai The food was fresh and light. Not greasy. We ordered spicy and got exactly what we asked for. They use real Thai chilies. We drank lots of water.

Had the deep fries squid rings and seafood combo was fantastic. The service was very polite.

I got the green curry lunch box. Cant go wrong for less than $10, and I love Thai food. They charged me for a regular box when I got there, I figured it was a miscommunication and I didnt have time to mess around so I took it. Well, I didnt get a regular box, I got a lunch box, for like 50% extra price. Tastes good, but Im bitter.

Fantastic cooks even in Thaï standards. People that visited Thailand know how hard it is to find decent thai food outside their country, and this one is really really good. It was a little deception not to have the papaya salad available as side dishes (rather than main course, cause ere they serve it only with chicken wings and rize). Also the Massaman was a fusion between original dishe and French stew. Tasted fantastic, but not what i would expect when I order a Massaman curry. Im forced to give 5 stars anyway because the taste was great, service too. Highly recommended! Best green curry I had, and papaya salad was top notch as well. Good job guys!

Absolutely delicious. We ordered it as takeout. Very easy and welcoming service, good portions, typical prices, flavorful. Green Curry Fried Rice - highly recommend for spice lovers. Different from your typical Thai fried rice; more saucy, less fried. Good ratio of veggies, meat and rice. Might prefer this more than green curry. Pad Ginger -Lots of onions. Ingredients were fresh and not over cooked. Sauce was savory yet slightly sweet. Couldn t taste the ginger too much but it was still good.

Food was fresh and delicious. Felt like an authentic Thai food experience. Will definitely come back.

Great Tom yum seafood soup

We came here for dinner after a long day at Harrison Hot Springs. We were a large group of 18 (half adults half kids) and they were able to accommodate us. All of us ordered the dinner combo. Great food and great customer service. Hit the spot! Parking: Plenty of free parking

Amazingly delicious food. I drive an hour to Chilliwack and hour back just to eat there once a week. Absolutely worth the drive.

We ordered takeout and got three dishes: pad thai, pad see lew, and the lad na gravy noodles. I wish the noodles weren t over cooked as the taste was good for most parts. The lad na also came with much more sauce then there was noodles and I wish there were more noodles and that the noodles didn t break and crumble so easily. (The photo here only showed part of the gravy with the noodles as there was a whole plastic container of gravy that I didn t show.) Having spent over $50 for three dishes I wish it had been a more satisfying experience but unfortunately only the pad thai noodles weren t overcooked though the sauce flavour was more sour than the previous times we had it. 3 stars for the broken overcooked noodles and inconsistent pad thai taste.

Found this gem through TripAdvisor. It s tucked away in a small unassuming strip mall. Two adults and three kids who were in need of a good dinner. The decor is eclectic and feels like the tables and chairs were purchased at garage sales.....nothing matches but that s what gives it character. We all ordered something different and we all loved our meals! Nothing was left over. The yellow curry was amazing. It was so full of flavour, smooth and almost buttery with just the right amount of heat. Everyone raved about their meals. This was the best Thai food I have ever had!! Service was great and there was a steady stream of people coming through the door. Great place for great Thai food.

The place is petite. At busy lunch hrs, it does get quite crowded and the waiting space aint large enough. The food was great! Took us back to our time in SG and Bangkok. Flavours were apt and portions were generous. Parking: About 15 spots our front in the shopping complex where this place is. Maybe 4-5 are reserved for the restaurant

Always amazing food! I had the red pineapple duck curry and oh my goodness it was incredible! Definitley recommend this dish!! Ive also previously had the vermicelli seafood salad and its AMAZING! Tom yum soup is so flavourful its crazy. The only dish I funnily have would not order again is the Pad thai, due to it being wayyyy to saucy. Authentic pad thai shouldnt be thick with sauce. But everything else Ive ever had is incredible and bursting with flavour!
