Quattro Bambini is a locally owned traditional Neapolitan restaurant. Our vision is to spread joy, simplicity and connection through food and hospitality. Join us for a meal and you will return for the company!
Enjoyed our dinner here. Staff was great. Really enjoyed the salad that came with balsamic honey dressing. Will love to order that again. We got 2 different pizzas and enjoyed them both. Thought the pizza cutting scissors was a fun touch, and they actually work really well. Olive appetizer featured a variety of meaty green and black olives. We will be back again
Delightful to see that much is the same as the previous owners however there was new energy, the service was excellent and impossibly, they improved an already great set of pizzas! Highly recommend you make this your go to for day trips to Duncan and the Cowichan Valley! Bravo!
I’ve been to Quattro Bambini a handful of times now and each visit has been a great experience. I’ve tried something different from the menu each time and have been really impressed with the food every time. Their menu has something for everyone and theres never a wrong choice. I recommend the wood-fire pizzas and the gnocchi. The service is also very good. Friendly and caring owners and staff. I will absolutely be returning for many more visits.
Delicious!! We tried all the salads- each one was a work of art! And the olives- incredible! By far the best pizza around, served fresh and hot from the wood fired oven! My favourite was the Pollo e Basilica- hazelnut pesto, chicken basil, lemon and Parmesan. Highly recommended- Check this gem out!!
Absolutely thrilled that a former manager bought this place out. The food, atmosphere, and staff are amazing and a huge improvement on a restaurant that - under the previous owners - took a solid hit to quality. Pizzas are delicious, as are the sides! We haven’t tried any of the new pasta yet but will certainly do so in the future. A must stop if you live in the Cowichan Valley and a convenient location if you’re transiting the Island.
Very satisfied. We came to this restaurant often before it changed ownership and were nervous to lose a favourite spot but we have been pleasantly surprised. We love authentic Italian as it reminds us of our honeymoon in Italy. This did not disappoint. Very high quality. Can’t wait to try their new lunch menu and coffee. We recommend the crudo do Parma.
Ordered take out. The pizza was okay. The gnocchi was pretty awful. There were a few strands of tasteless chicken thrown into a tomato sauce that felt like it was straight out of a can. Definitely not worth the over $100 Dollars we spent on dining out.
The last time I was here was 2019, right before the pandemic. I was worried that when it all cooled down, this place would close, but luckily, it's still just as popular as it was then. I went with a party of 8, though I was the first to get there. We sat almost immediately. A small line was there before we showed up. But the waitress took us to our table and gave us some pitchers of water. The interior hadn't changed too much, aside from the gelato display being gone and the addition of frozen food. Once seated, I looked at the menu, which, luckily, had little to no changes. Although they did add some pasta and removed the meatball sandwich. We ordered some appies (salad, olives and meatballs. Also, I forgot to get images of them). I don't like olives, so I didn't get to try it. The salad tasted exactly how I remember, a slight acidity mixed with some sweetness paired well and was delicious. We got 4 meatballs, per order, and they came with 4 slices of bread, and them too tasted absolutely delicious. The meat tasted fresh, and the red sauce it sat in was perfectly balanced. I ordered a calzone for my main. It was my go-to before the pandemic. I was worried it wouldn't taste like it used to, but the salad and meatballs helped ease my worry. My calzone, once it arrived, was a pretty good size. Topped with freshly grated cheese, it was a perfect brown. The crust was a little too tough to cut into with my butter knife, indicating that the dough was fresh and chewy, just how I like it. The calzone is filled with turkey, spinach, roasted garlic, and mozzarella. You might think it needs sauce, but believe me, it doesn't. It was so full of flavor that you shouldn't bother asking to add any. Overall, the food was just as good as I remember. The atmosphere is still just as inviting as it always has been. I can't recommend this place enough. It's definitely worth the price
If I could give this place more stars I would. The food is delicious. Incredible wood fire pizzas.the pasta Amazing. As for the service it was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! 10/10
Good despite not having pineapple on the pizza. With pineapple would be great.
The pizza is wonderful. By far the best Ive had in the cowichan area. The staff are great. We will be going back.
Great food and lovely service!
Our first time since the new ownership and were were most impressed! The service was top notch and friendly... and the food (two different custom pizzas) was delicious. We WILL be back. Parking: Its in the Valleyview Shopping Center, so loads of parking.
Five stars for the pizzas, and we would give six for the pollo penne if that was an option! This has been a favourite since it opened a few years ago, but the new owners and staff go the extra mile to make it a great experience. They have broadened the menu but kept the classics. We drive down from Chemainus at least twice a week.
Everything about this place outstanding they cant go wrong look forward to trying the whole menu
Incredible pizza, nice servers. In a mall, so no atmosphere, but highly recommend.
Please get some more wheat-free menu items. I used to go to your restaurant regularly when you had the polenta dish. Also, it would be very easy to make your meatballs wheat-free by taking out the wheat crumbs. Salads are OK, but we get tired of that being our only menu choice. But, we need and want protein with the salad. Are any of your sausage wheat free? Keep some of those grilled sausages to serve with a salad.
I would drive here from Victoria for the Gelato, and stay for the pizza. Trust me, drop in, woodfired pizza with cut on the spot prosciutto, you cant lose. Update: stopped in for a quick bite on our way back to Victoria. Staff are amazing, pizza is superb, and the Gelato is to die for, get the pistachio, truly bellisimo !
Amazing independently owned Italian restaurant. Tasty food and kid friendly!
Havent had pizza in a while. And now I know. Why. Haha
Totally authentic Italian pizza. Just delicious served by very friendly and accommodating staff. Thank you for a wonderful meal
Great experience here. Would personally like to give a shout out to Eddie the server there. She was fantastic and very friendly, will be returning!
Great pizza, friendly staff, and perfect for kids.
One of the best pizzas on Vancouver island!
I was worried when I saw my fungi pizza delivered but the first bite OMG the flavor was fantastic. Just not like any others Ive had.
Worst spaghetti ever, sauce is not good and no meat, overpriced
Me and the wife stopped here and had the Salomi with the lattes. I have never had to cut my own pizza so that was cool to experience as well as the dough is phenomenal
Their wood-fired pizza is the best pizza I have ever had! A must try!
Sitting in our favorite seats, dinner, and a show...yummy meal, definitely stop in for dinner or order....finishing the meal with Gelato... #greatpizza #neopolitanpizza #gelatolovers #italianpastalover Food
I ve been a loyal customer of Quattro Bambini (formerly Prima Strada) for a long time, often raving about their delicious pizzas and welcoming atmosphere. Often a spot to order pizzas for the lake days and family get togethers. However, my recent visit left me utterly disappointed, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Upon arrival, I ordered a simple kids pasta with just cheese and butter for my 19-month-old. The pasta arrived within seven minutes, but it was a sad representation of dry noodles with a tiny sprinkling of cheese. This should have been my first clue not to continue with my order. We then ordered the penne alla pollo, meatballs, and a pizza. The food arrived again very quickly too quickly. The pasta resembled an airline dish, with cold, chewy noodles and what appeared to be shredded, cold chicken. It was clearly reheated, with a small dollop of cold sauce in the center. We immediately sent the pasta back due to its lack of quality and temperature and ordered a pizza instead. Next, we tried the meatballs, which were ice cold in the center. After that, we informed the server that we were no longer interested in the replacement pizza. When we finally tried the pizza, which is usually a fail-safe, the crust was soggy and the dough was still stretchy. We demonstrated this to the server, who was as shocked as we were. The crust was a shadow of its former self soggy and flavorless instead of the crispy, golden perfection I once knew. The sauce, once a tangy delight, tasted bland and watery, lacking the depth and richness I had come to expect. The cheese was rubbery and barely melted, giving the entire pizza an unappetizing texture. To make matters worse, the service was noticeably off. The kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, contributing to the overall negative experience. Which was shocking considering there was only one other table present in the restaurant. The most appalling part of our evening was when the server announced to the kitchen that we no longer wanted our replacement pizza - to which the kitchen staff stated loudly OMG are you serious? , which we found embarrassing and unprofessional considering it is an open kitchen. It s disappointing to see an establishment that once prided itself on quality and service fall so far. On a positive note, the server was gracious and removed the items from our bill. Considering the quality this establishment used to have, we didn t mind spending upwards of $25 dollars per pizza. But this was no longer the case, we would ve been better off stopping at country grocer for a frozen pizza. After spending the entire evening and next morning with upset stomachs we came to the decision that after years of enjoying this place, it s hard to say goodbye, but I can no longer recommend it. I hope they can return to their former glory, but for now, I ll be looking for a new go-to spot for pizza.
Best pizza on the island! Delicious traditional Neapolitan style crust with super fresh ingredients. Excellent service, and dog-friendly patio! Highly recommend :)
Excellent
Food would below average. I wanted so badly to like this restaurant as it s nearby but it was far below average. I expected fresh and homemade and said we got subpar boxed food. Could ve done better at home and saved 100 bucks very disappointed.
Food was Awful and Overpriced!! First and last meal there
Amazing food, it was perfectly cooked amazing staff members and they did a perfect job with the service! I can t wait to eat there again. Don t really understand the bad reviews I looked at their accounts and they have never went to a Italian restaurant so I don t think they have had it before but the food is great
Saturday night dinner with friends visiting from the mainland. They ran out of pasta! They had no sangrilla and no cranberry juice and no pasta at all. Right across Country Grocers so common sense might have been to go buy pasta so you csn serve spaghetti to your clients who came to have an italian dinner. It was embarrassing !
Excellent pizza. Adding personal choice toppings to the basic pizza. Friendly, welcoming service. Vegetarian options: Yes.
We had lunch here last weekend for the first time. We were a very large group and we were late! They were so accommodating, adding extra tables and telling us not to worry about our timing. The service was fantastic, as was the food. Our waitress was kind to our kids, going so far as to bring them a complementary desert. Would definitely recommend :)
Had a take away and the staff were great and food awesome - kids wolfed the pizza down!
Great pizza....amazing staff!!!
Excellent pizza in a nice atmosphere, a lovey bustling meal out, with good beer on tap!
Pizza is always super delicious. We ve only eaten in at the restaurant twice (we usually get take out) but both experiences were really great. The staff are all young and treated our two young kids very kindly. They even gave them some pizza dough to play with which was definitely the highlight of their night. Service was great. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food fast
Went to Prima Strada in Duncan and had very good pizza. Hot, fast and excellent service. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking: Large parking lit in front and more parking around the side
Solid. Good Neo pizza. Dont go expecting something else.
Delicious pizza, great combinations, friendly staff. Definitely a must visit on the island
We enjoy very much thanks
Absolutely speechless, thank-you for making this international pizza day special with your finest. Amazing!!
Food quality not like it used to be
It was very disappointing. Pizza was very greasy and not hot. Very thin crust the very little topping fell off when taking a bite. Warm water served from a bottle with juice glasses ice cream served in a carton with tiny dessert spoons. Asked for black tea got earl grey. Tea pot leaked.. Very little choices on the menu. We wont be returning
Enjoyed our impromptu meal at Prima Strada. We enjoyed two pizzas, a side salad (house) and a bottle of Alderlea Clarinet. The pizzas were authentic and flavourful and service was attentive.
Best pizza on the island by far! Excellent Napolitan thin crust. We had an wonderful time, everything was perfect.
Such an unassuming place offering some of the best pizza I ve had in a long while. So great we had to go again before leaving the Island.
Best pizza I ve had in a long time!
Best pizza on Vancouver Island!
Best Fungi pizza !
Amazing food and service, will definitely be back!
I had pizza Margarita and my wife had Piatto Di mozzarella, both were really good. As i have been to italy its not exactly the same experience but it was much closer than we got in other restaurants on Vancouver island so far. Server was super polite and helped with allergies no problem. Whole restaurant is really beautifuly designed. Vegetarian options: All pizzas are availible in vegetarian version, antipasti can be ordered without meat as well. Dietary restrictions: The server was super helpful with alergy restrictions. Parking: The restaurant is part of shopping centre so there is a lot of free parking spots around Kid-friendliness: Child seats availible Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs anywhere, wheelchair friendly toilets.
Great wood fired neapolitan pizza. Nice balanced toppings, nice base all hidden in an off highway plaza! Would have like some more side and salad options.
Best. Pizza. Ever.
Amazing place!! Staff is wonderful and the pizzas are top notch!! One specialty pizza I ordered with green grapes was so unique and so tasty I hope that pizza is offered in the future again!
The best wood fired Neopolitan pizza I have had! We had the pepperoni and added onion. The crust is almost like fresh naan. The pepperoni is house made and has exquisite flavour. We also had the Insalata Della Casa and it was also wonderful.. simple but sublime!
Beautiful, sitting on the patio in the shade of the umbrella and having a pizza and draft island beer. Just like a holiday in Italy.
The best Margherita Pizza in town!
Dumb mistake getting one pizza to share, it was delicious should have gotten two!
Poorly garnished pizza for the price its disappointing
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend the calzone. I almost finished it.
Very good fire oven pizza.
Amazzzzzing Pizza
amazing food and service however other customers seem to have poorly disciplined children
1 of the best pizza places Ive visited
Pizza are made with fresh ingredients and in a real wood burning pizza oven. They are thin and delicious. We had a bottle.of wine amd the kids enjoyed the Gelato after. Was a great lunch. Pizza are big but thin... I could only eat 3 pieces out of the 6 but I am sure others could eat the whole thing.
First Italian style pizza that I actually approve. As an Italian on Vancouver Island this is the best one Ive had so far and can only recommend.
My girlfriend and I were very excited to go for traditional Italian pizza and live in the cowichan valley. We are not ones to complain and let me tell you we were shocked with how rude and poor our service was . From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant we were treated like the worlds biggest inconvenience. Our meals were served without plates, cutlery or napkins. Mid meal we were asked if we were ready for our bill while had planned to order our next pizza. Next pizza comes out in a to go box as she places the machine on table without one word spoken. Hard to believe this woman has a serving job. I imagine that will be short lived. Will never return!
Nice generous portions and good tasting selection.
It s decent, but a bit overpriced I must admit
If you cant travel to Italy, then go to this restaurant to get authentic pizza. I love thin crust and this was perfect. House white wine and Craft beers also excellent. Service was quick and our server was very personable. They do close the kitchen at 8:00 so get there in time to enjoy. My only suggestion is please get more comfortable chairs... solid wood is not too comfy!
Had dinner on a Friday night with no wait for a table. Placed our order and drinks came quickly.... Then waited 45 min to an hour only to see the table in front of us who arrived after we placed our order receive their pizzas, ours followed about 5 minutes later. The young server came up with olives to apologize for the long wait but used Take out as an excuse. Which is a poor excuse in most circumstances, if you cant handle the flow from the dining room, take less takeout. But lets be real, he must have forgotten to put our food order in. During the wait we did see him look at us numerous times, talk to the kitchen etc. Both servers touched their faces, noses and hair without washing their hands. The food was good enough, the arugula topped pizza was bland but the sausage pizza was quite tasty.
I d heard great things about this pizzeria so we finally stopped in. We had a funghi pizza. The dough was nice but the pizza was mostly regular white mushrooms versus a mixture to provide more flavour, and whatever the vinegar was they put on it was terrible, sour and overly acidic. It tasted more like white vinegar than balsamic. With nothing but lettuce, and a bit of parmesan for a whopping $15, the house salad was disappointing. I won t bother returning.
We have never been disappointed with the food here. Delicious crust, fresh ingredients and everything put together with care. These guys know what they are doing! And they love to chat about their process too. Today we had a salad with their featured pizza: calabrese, provolone, artichoke with a dash of hot oil. Thanks guys!
Absolutely delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs as starter then had pepperoni and Funghi Pizzas. Service was exceptional we will be back soon to fight over tiramisu ;)
This place is great! My kids love their pizza. They live the simplicity of the margarita pizza. I love the revolving feature. Yesterdays feature was brilliant! Calabrese, Basil, beets, gorgonzola and honey! So creative an delicious. The staff here are great too! Where is Davey Portneys review, because this place should be on his hit list!
Fun atmosphere with quality, delicious food. Love having the house salad and adding fennel sausage and anchovies. Yum! But, best of all is the warm staff. The manager, Aiscia, is bubbly and remembers little details of your previous orders. Always feels good to get food from Prima!
Terrible eat in experience. Restaurant was more concerned about turning out take-out orders than dealing with seated customers. Wrong orders and undercooked food. Rude waitresses. Place has really gone downhill. Would not go back.
The tiramisu was to die for. Pizzas were amazing, highly recommend this place!!!
Very very tasty. Great crust.
Always great thin crust pizza and local beer. Friendly staff and a great patio when the weather is warmer.
It was my first time here and the pizza was absolutely delicious !! Service and atmosphere was great. The two wonderful ladies that served me were lovely and so kind. i will definitely come back again soon . Thank you!
Meatball appy is a meal in itself, add a pizza and your done. Will be there again
Amazing pizza, super friendly staff, local beer and a great location. Prices are good too. If you are passing through or in the neighbourhood try this pizza place.
Good patio for outdoor dining. Have had amazing pizzas here many times. This last visit was not as good as previous ones. The ingredients were not as high a quality as past ones. Ok. We went back in April 2022 and I am happy to say its back to a five star rating.
Best marguerita pizza on the Island. Server was pleasant.
(Wifey here) Had an excellent late lunch today with our little guys in tow (14 months old). Aiscia gave excellent service including anticipating that we may need extra napkins and a warm, wet towel to clean messy faces and hands. Fantastic pizza and the boys enjoyed their first taste of yummy strawberry sorbetto on the little cute spoons. We enjoyed a glass of Blue Grouse Pinot Gris... delicious. Great food and wonderful service, all made for a lovely afternoon... plus the extra sweet and twin service was very appreciated, Aiscia We dine at the Prima Stradas in Victoria... The Cobble Hill location did not disappoint
Very nice Italian pizza. I give 4 stars because they put too much parmigiano reggiano in all their food which, for me, jeopardize the other flavors. You won t have that happening in Italy. Service was very good. Pizza man super friendly with kids (love the open kitchen and their fontana). We will come back. Gracie mille!
Good pizza, but not as good at this location. There are never enough toppings and most pizzas are pretty dry with toppings in the centre.
First pizza came out raw, sent it back, no compensation. Server claims some customers like it blonde not blonde, uncooked. We were on our last slice of 2nd pizza before we got our 2nd beer and wine. So sad. We just moved to cobble hill and had high hopes of it been our new local hangout.
Absolutely delicious pizza!!
Absolutely delicious; Not your typical Pizza! But after the first two times I grew to love it more than any other pizza place! Highly recommend; Friendly staff, good food, you feel better after eating it, unlike most pizza which makes you feel heavy and lethargic
Never had a bad meal here. Been going for years to all of their locations. Always consistent and delicious. Don t sleep on their specials or their meatballs!
Excellent Italian style pizza Vegetarian options: Margarite pizza Parking: In the plaza lots of parking
For me, this is the best pizza in the area. Truly Italian toppings and a nice thin crust. We did a 1/2 Carne - 1/2 Rucola e Crudo pizza, and both halves were very tasty! I would prefer a crisper crust as it was a bit soggy for me. The servers were friendly and overall we were quite happy!
I am proud to support local business and Ive been to the Cobble Hill location twice and I am disappointed with the pizza. Both times the pizza was soggy, with the crust the consistency of wet white bread. The take out service wasnt very good either. I got the impression that I was in their way rather than a paying customer. I wont be going back or recommending this place.
The pizza was delicious and the server was extremely friendly.
Charles Boyle would love it ;)
Great everytime.
Best pizza I had on the island! The pricing is very appropriate and the service was great too
Fresh pizza Italian style. Traditional fire roasted thin crust pizza. Soo good!
Always delivers and I never get tired of this pizza.
Got an order for takeout. The thin crust pizzas were delicious. A pizza per hungry person was the right amount for us. We also got a salad. It was generously covered in freshly grated cheese and came with the most OUTSTANDING dressing. There was an unfortunately large amount of brown lettuce in the salad which sullied what would have been a perfect review. (Didn t look at the salad until we got it home) Will try again in the future and hope it was a one off. Staff were pleasant.
Pizza was pretty good. crust was excellent. Sauce was really liquidy and made the bottom of the pizza really soggy, not sure if thats normal here? Overall worth the stop for a snack.
Nice patio, excellent pizza
Best pizza in the Cowichan Valley. Check it out.
If you are an olive lover you will not be disappointed! The pizza has a delicious crust and service is good. The only reason I refrained from a 5-star review is the toppings. I have been here multiple times now over 3 years and even when I order and pay for additional toppings there are hardly any toppings on the pizza.
Oh wow the pizzas here are divine! Authentic pizza made strictly the old school Italian way. Close your eyes and it tastes just like you re in Italy. Delicious thin crust, fresh ingredients and the perfect medley of flavors. We ordered the margherita and funghi supreme pizzas - so yum! Will definitely be going back.
Best pizza Ive had in a long time! We just happened to be driving through and looking for a place to eat and found this place. Reasonably priced and good variety. It was perfectly cooked and will definitely go back next time Im driving through. Staff was also friendly.
Amazing authentic Neapolitan pizza, beautiful local wines and wonderful staff
Awesome every time! We have been going to this local gem for years. The meatballs are unforgettable and the pizza is divine. Everything is so fresh and made with such care, the service is friendly and accommodating. The drink list is also worth going for . Amazing local wines and handcrafted drinks. A local favourite for sure!
First time coming tonight and i will be back i placed my order to go, but my interactions with the staff was FANTASTIC!. Excellent customer service followed up with excellent food!. They seemed pretty busy tonight, so we had a bit of a wait for the food, but it was for sure worth it. Thank you!.
First and last time I will order from here. We ordered takeout at 6pm and did not get our pizza s until 8:15pm. We were told the wait time would be 60 minutes when we ordered online and when we showed up the manager told us it would be 20 more minutes, which we were fine with. When we came back at 7:20, the manager had left and our pizza s still werent ready. We waited till 8:15 until our order was ready. There were other takeout customers who were in the same boat as us. It seemed like takeout orders were an afterthought and they didnt make them until all dine-in customers were served and happy. The most disappointing part to me was being lied too by the manager. I would have much more respect if you told me it would be 2 hours from the start or told me that you are understaffed and its going to be an hour longer then offer me a refund. Managing client expectations goes a lot further than leading a customer on, and unfortanutley you have lost me as a customer. All this being said, the pizza was good.
Ordered takeout via the website at 6pm and was told it would be ready at 7pm on the Sunday of the August long weekend. We got there about ten min before and were told by the manager the 4 pizzas weren t ready and it would be another twenty minutes. The place wasn t that busy so we went and busied ourself for 20 min. At this point an hour and a half of waiting. We got back and the manager hung around for another 5 min and then left. We didn t see her again. We then proceeded to wait a total of 2 hours for our pizza, picking them up just after 8pm. By the time we picked up our pizza, there were still multiple people sitting at the restaurant waiting for their pizza (and complaining). While this was going on, the staff were then asking around to each other if they wanted to share in a staff meal . They didn t even have their clients served. The hostess also was telling guests that it was so busy because they had sold out of all their food pretty much? We were one of three takeout orders who waited 2 hours also. They basically totally forgot about and ignored the takeout prepaid orders. I would have been more tolerant if they managed expectations better. Wood fired pizza never ever has taken that long, so two hours for takeout was ridiculous. The pizza itself was good, but not worth that wait.
The Staff was great, The food was to die for. But we waited over an hour 15 to get it! (after being seated) I would highly recommend eating here but a lesser wait would bring it up to 5 stars
This is the best pizza place Ive been to. They have a napoleon certification, and it truly shows. All the food is locally sourced and hand made on site. This pizza is to die for. They have amazing local wine too. The price is what you expect for a place like this. I dont think theyre over priced, and its worth every dollar spent. Our waitress was the nicest, and she was so passionate about everything. 100% recommended
Amazing service, amazing food!
Best Italian style pizza in the Cowichan Valley. The in-house made sausage is delicious. The crust is always delightfully, simultaneously, crisp, chewy and airy and their calzones are equally good. Service is always prompt and pleasant. They make a pretty decent cappuccino as well to enjoy after your meal. The Island needs more places like this with a focused menu of excellent, high quality food.
Top notch wood-fired pizza! Also delicious take and bake and house made gelato!
Service is amazing, area is beautiful and the pizza is magical. Take it to go and go sit in cow bay!
Second time in Vancouver Island and second time at this amazing pizza joint off the highway from Nanaimo to Victoria. Fast friendly service and incredible pizza!
Always good food. No complaints at all
Really delicious pizza, friendly service... even with our 3 loud kids.
Had a Fabulous time!!! Highly Recommend.. The staff& food were impeccable. Cant wait to go back. Thanks
Now the best pizza in the valley (title previously held by birds eye farm). Authentic Napoli style pizzas, delicious toppings and home made sauces. Sit at the bar, take out or enjoy the patio in the summer. If you like thin crust pizza, then this is the spot!
Easily the best pizza on the island if you like neopolitan. I usually get the four cheese but they have a couple with arugula on them which are nice as well.
This meal was delicious. It was huge too. Will definitely go back
One of the best pizzas in the island, absolutely truly napoletana pizza, the proper one! Love it!
This is, in my opinion, hands down the best woodfired pizza in a 100 km radius. Their sauce is perfect and the dough is cooked thoroughly without being too charred. I stop here religiously on my way back home from Victoria and I am never dissapointed. At my most recent visit there was no exception of excellence while still being mindful of the current state of concern during COVID-19. Everything has always been clean and orderly, showing the pride in their restaurant and while they moved tables and seperated patrons it seemed mostly business as usual. I was very comfortable there, no concerns and I felt safe and well taken care of. And the pizza! Oh My Goodness, the pizza. I will drive an hour on a special occasion, on a Tuesday or for literally any reason for their pizza. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and if I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Prima Strada woodfired pizza. Brava and Grazie!
Id go there just for the olives or their focaccia bread but the pizza and wine were awesome too. The outdoor option and masked waiting staff make this a great and safe option.
They just make damn good pizza. Just hurry up and go already. You will not be disappointed!
Lovely staff, amazing pizza after 4 hours of lazing down the cowichan river on a tube. We ordered so much pizza and we ate it alllll up! Great beer
best pizza ever
Very good Napolitano style pizza. Some really nice local wines. Feels a little bit expensive for the portion size though, hence the four stars.
We had a pepperoni pizza and the meatballs. Both were fantastic. The only complaint, and it is a small one, once we placed our order it seemed like a long wait to get our food. The service was good and the outdoor space is ok.
Great food, good service! Great measures in place regarding covid- nice distancing between tables and everything was clean.
Authentic and delicious pizza! Vancouver Island likes to hide its best places so we were delighted to find this excellent little pizzeria. Service was fast and cheerful and Covid protocols well in hand. Also our server directed us to Great Canadian Oil Change in Duncan for our car troubles and they were also amazing. Yay Duncan! Will make sure this place is on the itinerary for future visits.
had the funghi (mushroom) pizza. loved the napoleon style crust
We have been going there for years... But now theyll refuse to serve us if we dont give our telephone number for Covid tracing.. they asked us to leave..businesses really need to educate themselves!!! Never again!! Do B.C. bars and restaurants have to collect customers contact information for COVID-19 contact tracing? Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says B.C. restaurants and bars must collect patron contact information if they already take names in the ordinary course of business. Jun 18, 2020
Staff is great! Food is fair.
As someone who has lived in Europe, this is absolutely authentic. Very thin dough, only one size, and no non-authentic toppings (for example, no Hawaiian). Fairly pricey, but nice smiling service. Beautiful view from the patio.
Authentic, simple, tasty ingredients! I love the taste the fire oven gives the crust. I think its one of the best in the valley!
As always this wood-fired oven pizza is to die for. Every new pizza we try impresses. And dont forget to try a dab of that chilli oil! Perfect.
Pizza is super tasty almost a little better than in Germany. A must to go!!!
Husband and I ate here Aug.1st. This was the 3rd time trying this restaurant, even though I wasnt satisfied with the food the first 2 times. We had received a free pizza coupon and thought we would give it another try. We ordered 2 types of pizza, and an appetizer. Unfortunately, the vegetables were under cooked in the appetizer, the pizza crust was very hard to cut or chew, and the toppings were very sparse. Some pieces did not even have the meat or vegetables, and overall there was too much olive oil put on the crust. I enjoy flat crust pizza usually, so am familiar with this type, and do not expect North American pizza. The prices are high for the amount and low quality of the food. The regular drinks and small gelato prices are also too high. We will not be returning again.
Very authentic tastes. Delicious food
Amazing food, Amazing Service!!
Best pizza in Victoria
Tasty but a bit costy
Excellent pizza as always ....
Absolutely delightful pizza, best pizza in the area!
My fiance and I came for dinner and in a communication mix up we were left waiting for a table when they thought we were coming for pickup. At first we were a little frustrated but then realized it was a total mistake. All the staff did the beat to makeup for the error and we were blown away. One of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly, by the time we left we feel like they went above and beyond for their small error. Highly reccomend this location.
Delicious food, friendly staff. They accommodated our large group gracefully and without hassle.

Fast service.. staff was great. Beer is great
Service: fast and friendly. Not busy on this Friday night. Food: fast, hot, tasty - excellent drink selection Prices: a bit high for a family, but in line with our market. Our first time visiting this location as we re typically Victorian eaters. The focaccia appetizer is so simple but well put together, with a dusting of hard cheese and a was small assortment of olives. The pizza was on par with our experiences in Victoria, fantastic. We had a funghi and shared a 1/2 litre of the house red. Easy, delicious date night without too bad of a price. It s tough to bring our teen kids here often as the prices climb when each person wants their own pie. We are also so glad that we can buy the chili oil! It makes our food at home sparkle!
Great pizza.
Best pizza in town
Best pizza crust on the Island!
As always, these guys are awesome. Love the food, staff, olives and salad and ambience. Its kid friendly and relaxing. It was our first time at this location and we were happy wed made reservations!
Travelling to Nanaimo and decided to stop in for dinner on a busy Friday night. We were in and out of the door in only about 35 minutes. We were in a hurry and knew what we wanted, so it was a quick order. Food arrived fast and was great. Food and service were so good that we bought a gift certificate for someone else when leaving. Far exceeded what we thought was going to be a mall food court meal else where but in similar amount of time.
