I stopped by recently for one of their famous Chicken Sandwiches. I have to say, l was not disappointed. In fact it was a lot better than I lmagined. Not only was it huge but just solid white chicken breast with a tasty coating. The fries were also really good. The store was very clean and counter server was really friendly and upbeat. I will definitely be back. If you can, get your Flu shot or Booster and lets protect each other!!

Well 1ST time going here and last time. I ordered 3 strips and mac and cheese and lady was ringing in a combo after I let her know I dont want combo. She had some difficulty with it. So I finally got my order went sat in my car and started eating when I was chewing (chicken strips)something was off so I pulled apart the chicken strips and they were not cooked. So I took back in showed them and yes they appolized and asked if I wanted new ones I replied no thank you and asked for a refund on the strips. Guy refunded me my entire order. Again he appolized and I was polite the entire time even tho I was pissed cause now I had no time to go somewhere and eat as I had to get back to work...

Dropped in for a late supper after a bit of a stressful day. It was near closing time, but the chicken sandwich was made fresh, perfect comfort food. The new Canadians who own/manage this spot seem like sweet folks. The food came promptly and was delicious. The Cajun gravy is worth a visit alone!!

This restaurant has really gone down in quality since the opening. The signs outside say open, the hours say the store is open, I can see customers inside ordering food, but when I go inside I am told that the store is closed and that I am not allowed to place an order. Well thats fine if you want to close 15 mins early, but maybe close the door or turn off the open signs, or at least let me know before I have already waited and get to the front of the line? So disappointed.

That particular location in Coburn does everything right and is great for parking. Go around the hole Walmart to park out of the way on the side so to not disrupt traffic leaving and don t litter so we can keep going there in the future. Thanks

This Popeyes location has amazing food and friendly staff. The chicken is always great and every side Ive ordered has been consistently good. The kitchen can be observed through the chicken rack and everything Ive had from here has been clean and hygenically prepared. This is in contrast to the Port Hope McDonalds location where I found hair in my burger and there the kitchen is hidden from the customer except for where the fries are prepared.. In any case this Popeyes location is fantastic and food and service is top notch. 10/10

If you can t be bothered to serve me 20 minutes before closing I won t be bothered to ever set foot in a Popeyes ever again. What a disgrace

Rarely have chicken ready. 3 out of last 4 times here alone I have had to wait 15 minutes for 6 pcs of chicken. Its supper time, have chicken ready in your fast food restaurant. There are currently 5 different orders sitting here waiting for there orders. Absolute joke establishment. Oh and they tell you 15 minutes for chicken AFTER you pay for it

My husband stopped here on our way to Kingston. The chicken was fresh and hot. The two people working were awesome. I highly recommend this location. Not only for the yummy chicken but also for the kind workers/owners.

The self service machines didn t really work well. One of them didn t take our payment and another didn t give us our receipt. It also smelled bad and the washrooms were very dirty and wet.

Been there twice and not going back again. First day experience brought some chicken and tasted really salty but I didn t bother complaining or anything and threw them away. I went back few months later for second time and this time chicken tasted like raw meat, not very well done or leftover from previous day. I wasn t able to eat so I left it out on the parking lot curb. Sorry, do not recommend this place

I used to like this place until today when I got food poisoning from their chicken! I got the 3 piece meal 20 bucks with a poutine and the chicken was bad! Or the grease! Chicken is NOT SUPPOSED TO TASTE like that, and fishy/taste all I can say. For 20 a single meal you would think they would know how to change and take care of theie meat /oil/ such. Worst service today. Asked for 2 Wednesday specials and 1 side of rice. Supposed to be 2 - 9 piece nuggets for $4.99 each and the side for $1.29. Got home to find 2 bags with 2 mini-chicken sandwiches and was charged full price for side. 2 overcooked nuggets on 2 small buns. Not very tasty.

I must admit for being middle eastern run this place is very welcoming and clean. The staff has always been polite and respectful. They are fast and efficient. I went here on a Monday night with my partner, on our way visiting Toronto. We ordered 5 pcs chicken tenders combo and a gravy. The cashier was so sweet and told me to take the platter instead because it would save me a dollar. Lastly, we also took a crispy spicy chicken burger. My partner told me the burger was amazing and for the price. It s worth it. While on our way to a table to sit down, a young lady told us that she would sanitize the table. That was very professional of her to service clients. Overall, when we left, they greet us a good farewell going to Toronto. We will for sure come back only to this Popeyes in the future.

I recently visited Popeyes Cobourg with my friends and honestly Popeye s chicken is worth the hype. I ordered chicken sandwich and my friends ordered chicken tenders. It s the best fried chicken in town. Plus, the staff was cooperative and friendly. I ll definitely visit this place again.

Popeye s is my go-to spot whenever I crave for fried Chicken. I visited popeye s Cobourg for the first time today and ordered chicken tenders, my favourite item from their menu. The food taste was similar to other franchises. The staff specially the manager is very sweet and welcoming. Overall, good experience .

It was okay. Nothing was available. Took long. Food was not up to standard compared to regular day of Popeyes. Mabey they had a bad day idk

I absolutely love Popeye s Cobourg. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They are always a pleasure to interact with. The chicken is by far the best fried chicken that I ve ever had and those biscuits are delicious! All of my family always enjoy takeout when it s from Popeye s Cobourg. Wonderful staff, great fried chicken, awesome fries. They were out of wings when I placed my order, we kidded them that I loved wings and was really disappointed, and sure enough a little while later, the girls brought me one on the house!!

Chicken was greasy. Just overly greasy and the flavour was lacking. The meat tasted a bit off to me.

I can not rate higher than 3 because the size of the chicken is 1/2 what it used to be. A 26 piece used to require 2 FULL boxes but now a 16 piece fits into just 1 of the identical box. They ALWAYS give me a thigh when I ask for and pay for a breast. They always say its because they both look so alike when cooked. They need to figure that out because people are not getting what they are paying for.

Staff were very rude when returning an incorrect order. They judged for returning something and rolled their eyes. There is also a young girl whom often works the front cash. She has been the most unpleasant and catty girl I have met in a retail context. She was laughing and whispering to another worker when returning the item. You are a very unkind and predatory group of uneducated and resentful beings. Will never return to your location as the energy is horrible. Also, being forced to listen to vulgar and trashy music at a loud volume also sets the tone when someone enters your establishment. EDIT: They made it right in my opinion. The majority of the staff are friendly, and it is unfortunate that the actions of one will affect the perception of others. I am thankful to the owners for being so gracious and for reaching out so quickly.

Popeyes going down the tubes. The chicken is weird now...you get a large side and 8 pc chicken and dry biscuits for over 30 bucks ...they half fill the box with fries and you get no white pieces of chicken other then a wing. Girls where there masks under the nose so not doing anything to protect us the customer if she happens to have covid.

Been coming here since 2019. I live 30minutes away and it was the best Popeyes Ive been to. I went couple of days ago and ordered family combo. Their chicken was always crunchy and well seasoned. Mac and cheese was always good. When we ate the food right away in the car, it was nothing like before. Skin was hard and the wing was almost black inside. The mac and cheese had no flavor. And the lady wrote mild for the spicy mix. Im not sure why their quality went down, but Ill come back one last time before I never drive here again.

Girl at front cash was great. Good customer service but probably wont go back. Second time ive gone in there and cook not paying attention or hard to find. Not happy bout watching food sit in window cuz fries arent done for half the order

Went in for a 5 piece with 2 biscuits and two sides (got French Fries and Onion Rings) and another side of Onion Rings. Was asked to wait in my car, no problem. 10 minutes pass, fine. Another 10 minutes and 3 different customers come out with their meals, so I decided to go back in. Went back to my car to check the order a box of chicken tenders - not my order. Went back in, they handed me another box which I checked before I left the store, no fries, back in line I go manager demanded to see receipt which I produced. The wait was not the issue but the attitude I received from the manager. I can deal with a wait, I ve been in food service I get it. But when my order is wrong and I get attitude? Not happening. Will not be returning.

Got an 8-pc nuggets combo here and a spicy chicken sandwich. Amazing and I was surprised with the young lady in the counter who appeared to me like a trainee. She s got a very angel like voice and hard work despite the symbrachydactyly. I was just went for a random long drive and stopped by here. The experience was amazing. Will stop by here again whenever I m out for another Ontario exploration.

My friend and I ordered a 10 piece combo. The lady in the back (cooking) - wearing her mask on her chin not covering her mouth or nose- yelled at the cashier that s she s only one person! I asked her not to talk to other employees like that. I was told she wasn t yelling. About 10 minutes into waiting and continuing to hear her berate the front staff because she was busy and had a 35 piece chicken nugget order and watching her touch everything (including dirty rags) then the food - all the while wearing her mask on her chin we asked for refund and left. Do better.

The chicken at popeyes had a rotten smell to it, and so did the sandwich. I am giving it a 2 because the lady at the cash was very hospitable and immediately changed the pieces for me. There was still a bit of a smell but not as much. This is now a repeat occurrence at popeyes for me. Similar stuff has happened to me at popeyes on Kingston rd in Toronto. No idea what is happening in their stores.

Popeyes chicken always tastes good. Even though, it seemed like the oil tasted old on some of the fried foods I ordered this time at this location. However, in this case Ill represent the store rather then the food. The garbage was over-flowing! All the tables for eat-in were dirty. The carpet that layed in the main counter area- seemed dirtier then it should be. If its stained with dirt....then consideration should be taken in acquiring a replacement carpet. Food is one way to success but appearance is another key. Last but not least.... Long story short....they overcharged me approx $5.00. Saying they could not reimburse me. I had to take equivalent of food for my $5. Bogus! I picked new fresh pies. ( See the difference in the picture) Customer satisfaction is another key too!

Finally had the sandwich. A bit of a disappointment tbh. Chose the mild version as spicy doesn t agree with me. First bite-yes, this is good. Very large piece of fried chicken, juicy & very filling. Could not eat it all in one sitting so saved the rest for dinner. This is where the disappointment came through. Very greasy at this stage, my mouth was coated in fat (yuck) could this be where the juiciness comes from? Had the onion rings, they were great! This store needs a bit of a tune-up. Although relatively new, it feels like it could use a good cleaning. Could be because most items are fried & it must be hard to prevent grease from being ever present. The pop machine was not working properly, sprayed syrup all over us. No ice. Friendly staff.

This was hands down the worst experience of any restaurant I have been to. First the cooks were arguing. Customers were getting angry for waiting so long. I waited 45 minutes for my order. I wanted a 5 PC MILD tender combo and a 4 PC SPICY dark meat combo. I got the order home and the tendees were spicy and had so much salt they burned your mouth. I could not eat them. The 4 PC combo was ONLY 2pc MILD and no fries or biscuit. So just 2 pcs of chicken. I also ordered a strawberry cheesecake pie which when I opened it, it was apple. They got the pop right but that was because I had to dispense it myself. Absolutely disgusted. Not the first time I waited so long but at least previously they got the order right. I will not be back. EVER!!!

Saturday evening - Treated horribly by manager. Was yelled at full blast across the resturant the minute I walked in the door (at 9:33pm) that if I had not placed an order already, the resturant was closed, with her hands up, signalling stop. I left, and once outside, my daughter pointed out it was only 9:30, and the resturant does not close until 10. I went back in, approached the counter and asked the same individual if I could please speak to the manager. The woman announced in a very loud voice, I AM the manager. It was obviously that she wanted the entire resturant to hear our conversation. I asked, still being polite, if she realized it was only 930pm? The manager made a dramatic show of leaning backwards and looking at what I guess is a wall clock, and saying, my clock says its 940PM and weve already turned off the fryers and they need time to cool down. I replied, I see, so you dont actually close at 10pm, you walk out the door at 10pm. It was at least beginning to make sense to me. The manager replied that she is always there way past ten. As I truly did not wish to argue with this person, I said, okay, however I do believe that is not right that the sign says open until 10pm, may I please have her bosses number? I was informed, still in a very loud manner for all to hear, that she doesnt have a boss. I suggested a district manager, and again, was loudly informed there wasnt one. She proceeded to yell at me that she didnt set the rules and I should go call head office and to go look up the number. I gave up and walked away, and as I was already leaving, the manager yelled again that it wasnt her fault and I shouldnt be arguing with her. I stopped, turned around, and finally raised my own voice (though still not to her level!), and advised that I hadnt wanted to argue with her, thats why I asked for the bosses number. I turned and proceeded to leave, and as I did, the manager was still yelling after me. I hope security coverage caught everything so that the owner can verify my account, and see how the manager treats (now former) customers!! Owner should also know that the manager feels she has no boss as no name was ever offered, despite my requests!

Had the twisty shrimp combo. Shrimp was over cooked, with limited shrimp inside the crusty batter. There wasnt enough Cajun spicefor me. Nor was the Cajun dipping sauce spicy enough. Good news...the fries were piping hot as was the biscuit.

I agreed to the dollar pie upsell. The raspberry cheesecake one was one of the most delicious desserts Ive ever had. Mind blown.

Was in at lunch time yesterday. Not busy, but it was chaos. Nobody seemed to know what their job was. Food tastes unacceptable.

after a very bad experience at this store the owner was very receptive to my complaint and more than eager to remedy the situation. I must say that I am impressed at the level of concern that she showed and grateful for her willingness to resolve the problem and regain trust. 5 Stars for your efforts

Had a not so pleasant experience at this location but I must say, the owner went above and beyond to correct the situation and was very sincere in apologizing. Looking forward to giving them another chance as I am very pleased with how they handled this situation!
