Food is very delicious and serving sizes on the bigger side. The Philly cheese steak is delicious and filling (great serving size of meat) The Greek salad is a very satisfying. Lots of vegetables and great serving size. Staff always very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk. If you enjoy food in a welcoming environment this is a great spot.

Amazing!!! Like Traveling back in time to experience what a burger place used to be. My burger had fresh fire toasted bun loaded with fresh toppings, a thick juicy patty seasoned and cooked to perfection. I needed two hands to hold it. With a side of crisp steakhouse fries that taste like they came from a garden instead of a lab. Amazing quality amazing value I don't know how fast food burger places can stay open with this place in town.
Everything at this restaurant is fantastic until you need something from the deep fryer, and only in the last month! Greek food, burgers, cheese steaks ... All great options every single time. The last 2 times we have gone, the Chicken Strips were burnt but edible *old oil, I think*, but the fries, rings, and poutine all went to my local wildlife. It's very unfortunate, but we won't order these things again for a while.
An excellent joint in comparison to its Scarborough location. However, it's sorely lacking in the atmosphere that the Whitby location was known for. Less of a community kind of feeling, or waiters and waitresses greeting you about your day or checking in on the quality of the meal. Despite that, the burger was good, if not a little lacking in clarity when ordering; there was no topping menu to look at before ordering like there was in Whitby, making for an awkward moment of inquiry on the possible toppings. If you enjoyed the Whitby location, check this one out over the Scarborough one.

Food was excellent and service was great. It had an old school feel and truly an amazing burger. Beats typical fast food any day, and it has good value. Opt away from chain restaurants and try this one. The food was very chip wagon esk and the menu reflected that. The service was great and even with the dinner rush, they were able to keep up with service and smile while doing so, it really helped the customer experience to be a positive one. It’s not fancy, but definitely is filling. The atmosphere was nice and the walls had flames which went with their thematic design. Really good. The one comment I would have for improvement is that there is no recycling which is weird because most of their drinks (if not all) are cans of pop. Definitely could be more green. Otherwise definitely a place I would recommend.
If you want more flavour in your burger then you should try Big Boys Burger. Their BBQ grill and seasoning makes their southern style food stand out in comparison to other burger food chains. I also had home cut thick fries and a chocolate shake that actually had real ice cream in it! The restaurant’s atmosphere and staff were also great. I will come back to try more of their grill options in the future and I recommend that you try this place as well. Best spot in Cobourg for quick and filling food
This place does not compare to anything. They are very generous with their portions and the food quality is phenomenal. Have been here a few times never disappointed. They treat you like family. Huge Burgers and generous fries and it actually tastes amazing. Thanks guys.
When I eat here eating an order of the best burgers and chip truck fries know to mankind, I question the intelligence of the people going thru the Wendy s drive thru. Terms like Moist, quality ingredients, flavour filled and delicious come to mind. The pricing is comparative to the fast food restaurants Big Boys food is far superior. My fave is steak on a bun with sautéed onion and mushrooms. The quality of the meat is better than the fancy restaurant I went to on the weekend in the Toronto Beaches. Once you go here, you will definitely come back. Pricing more than reasonable. $16.22 for a bacon cheeseburger with canned pop and hand cut made in store fries ( enough to share) . Atmosphere is as a burger joint should be. One point detected as their booths need recovering. If more people eat here, they can afford to do that. I want to live to Coburg so I can come here more often. Parking: Easy access off street .
Came to Big boys on the way out of Cobourg with my girlfriend, got the bacon poutine & philly cheesesteak. Food was amazing, fresh, and the two gentlemen working there were great! Definitely recommend! Dont hesitate

Great place but needs updating - ripped seats
Used to go to big boys in Whitby and it was always great. But at this location, The burger was the best thing I had, chicken burger was thin over cooked and just not a lot of flavor. The poutine is a sad replica, shredded cheese no curds. The gravy was ok. The fries were soft, and starchy no crisp not even the ones without the gravy and shredded cheese on them

Always one of my favs. The food is always top notch. Come hungry cause the food is not small portioned by any means! The staff are great!
Garbage. Chicken sandwich was a frozen piece of chicken that was barely warmed. Fries were overcooked and could break teeth. Maybe customers from the dentist next door. Philly steak was absolutely awful. Don t believe the reviews. This was one of the worst take outs ever. Should have put $30 on the Leafs to win the Stanley Cup. Food

Phenomenal spot to grab lunch. Guys there are hilarious and make you wanna have a conversation. Big portions, my husband and I called in a poutine and crispy chicken burger for takeout and they split the poutine in 2 boxes AND cut our sandwich in half for us. They went above and beyond normal service, will absolutely be back. I ate too fast to take a picture but so much cheese on the poutine and a giant burger.
Quite literally the best burger I have in my life. I love a good burger and this restaurant swept me off my feet. The staff are very friendly and happy and there food is fresh and delicious. Come by, you cant go wrong. Fried the burger, and solvaki and they were both perfect.

Stopped in on my way through. I sure am happy I did. The fella working there was amazing. He helped me decide what to order and even what to put on it. I had a steak sandwich with HP, mayo and uncooked onion. He knew I planned to eat on the road so he even cut the sandwich in half and wrapped the halves separately. He went above and beyond and the card machine didn t even prompt me for a tip. I wish this place was closer to home.

Calling yourself a burger place is a disgrace if you don t make your own house made patty, Had a burger and was able to bend both sides of the patty together without it breaking and watch it flex back together . Ended up throwing the food out and walking out - I wouldn t feed it to a dog let alone a human

Clean and tidy, (maybe only some of the older seats should be replaced).However, this does not fundamentally change my absolutely positive assessment. A place that I really recommend.

These are the best burgers in Cobourg hands down! Fries are excellent, just like a fry truck. And the prices are phenomenal especially considering you are eating real food not the garbage served at fast food places. I highly recommend!!!
Food is fantastic. Family had the Greek salad with steak, philly cheese was so big they wrap it in 2 separate packages and big enough for 2 people, the burger was so juicy and good. Fries were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of salt. The prices are exceptionally cheap to portion sizes. And the staff was super happy and friendly. We will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants in town! Our favorite is the big boy poutine we usually end up splitting one because the portion sizes are huge well worth the money my personal favorite is the philly on a bun!! Chicken fingers and Deep fried pickles are great too. Staff is always friendly and quick. This place is a must try youll be back for more.

Been here a few times to grab food to take home on a Friday or Saturday night. Ironically enough, the burger didn t do much for me. Might have been a one off though because the gyro on a pita is the BEST in town. I could eat one every day. Kids always get the chicken fingers and they love them. Some of the best fries in Cobourg.

Definitely one of the best burgers in town, if not THEE best. You can have it loaded up with whatever you want. Bacon & cheese is a little extra, naturally. Their combos come with a generous portion of fresh cut fries and a 500ml bottle of pop. Its an extremely good burger experience. Price wise its a little more expensive than the big name burger chains but not much and theres no comparison between the product. The burgers & fries here are superior. Come with friends, youll love it. **Edit - January 2023** Big Boy has done a good job keeping prices about the same during these inflationary times. One thing that has changed since my original review is that the 500ml bottles of pop have been downgraded to 355ml cans. Just mentioning it. Not judging. The burgers & fries are still big & wonderful.

Great customer service! Burger was good could use a little more seasoning but thats more of a personal preference the reason for the lower rating is because of the french fries although they were delicious, looked like they emptied the bottom of the deep fryer but food was prepared fast and staff was on point for sure at this location I will be back!

Little pricey ($62 for 2 adults/2 kids). The mens room was gross and was in desperate need of cleaning. The fries, onion rings, and hot dog were great. However, the burger was a little dry and lacked some flavour. Staff were friendly.
The Big Boy burger is huge and delicious, the meat is fresh and seems like never frozen or have fillers added. The fries are so yummy as well. The service was so friendly and kind, they welcomed you like family.

Wow. If John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd had been working behind the counter, I would not have been surprised. We had a burger, and a gyro. Stunning is the word that comes to mind. My son had to contemplate his burger for a few moments to figure out how to begin the attack. We had onion rings and fries as well. Oh, some things were a bit salty, but theres no way Im knocking off a star for that! Cant wait to go back!

Driving past Cobourg on the way home to Toronto we stopped for a quick dinner and shared a Philly cheesesteak combo with onion rings ($17.99). We had read that portions were large and this was just the right amount to share. Onion rings are thick cut and were excellent. Philly was satisfying, with onions and mushrooms. No peppers, also had BBQ sauce which was unexpected but tasty. We would eat here again!

The burger was good enough but couldnt be way better with fresh and not frozen meat. The poutine taste like Québec! Thats a really good thing. Love it! The place was really clean but it is kinda cold environment. The outside window is super dark and looks like the restaurant is closed. But in fact the restaurant was open. So overall I was happy! dont make me Rong there. But for a special burger looking restaurant, I was not impressed with that frozen patty. 7 out of 10* for me that loveee special Burgers place.

Was very disappointing after seeing all the great reviews. Had the Phily Stake and cheese combo with onion rings. Took ages to be ready, the cooks kept making mistakes in the orders before ours and had to re-do some of them. It was Friday night, so I guess it was their busy time. Onion rings were very dry, some of them almost burnt. Instead of 1 big bun I got 2 small ones with the stake- one had all the chees and onions and the other had only the stake... taste of the sandwich was ok, but onion rings were terrible. Im not going to eat there again

Top teir burger spot! The burgers were juicy, the Philly cheese steak was really well seasoned. And the milkshake was outstanding. The service was quick and friendly and the prices were super reasonable. Ironically its located next to a Wendys McDonalds and Tim Hortons. If youre in that area and looking to grab something to eat I highly recommend you skip the big chains and had to big Boys.
Great value! A place where your dollar still buys you a meal that fills you. Bonus that the food also tastes great. Good people bringing you good value, a credit to the Cobourg food scene.

Once again, this place did not let me down! Crispy chicken burgers and onion rings plus what felt like a 2 pound Greek Salad.. Best rings in town and the Greek salad was mighty fine too. No shortage of tomato cucumber and hoards of Feta.

Fabulous birthday dinners there tonight for five of us! Wonderful, courteous, friendly staff! Affordable for pensioners! Service is so quick! Loved my chicken souvlaki dinner with Greek salad, tzatziki and the dressing for my salad was perfect! Had a nice sized container of tzatziki so I didn t have to ask for more like in other places. Relaxed atmosphere with no dirty condiments adorning the tables, kudo s! Will definitely be back here!

Just had the Gyro Dinner and Big Burger combo. Both were the best my husband and I have had anywhere in Cobourg. All we can say is Deliciousness with a capital D. And the customer service was beyond excellent. Very friendly and courteous.

My wife and I tried out Big Boys burgers. The owner recommended we try the steak burger. It had excellent flavor but I did find it a bit tough. A little bit hard to eat. Wonderful flavor and a great menu I think its a good place to go.

This is the number one place in Cobourg for anything hot off the grill!! Tried the steak sandwich combo and it was cooked to your liking. It s was a fantastic tasting steak! Also ordered the steak on Greek salad, very fresh, crisp and dressing made it all come together! That s my favourite for protein/green combo and very healthy! Service was great and very clean inside. Friendly staff that communicates so well and we re on point! Great job you guys, we are hooked and looking forward to trying the burgers next! Will take pictures on the next one!
