I really like eating fries with mayo. Paid for mayo packets so I can enjoy my fires with them and was so excited. Came home and opened the bag and there were no mayo packets. I am so pissed, and really don’t understand what to say like how can it be missed. This is not the only mcd which did to me, had came across the same incident with other mcd’s as well. The company needs to get a better system so that that the employees don’t miss it. Literally, when you ask them for mayo packets when you accidentally miss ordering before paying, they say very bluntly that you need to pay for it. When you pay it they don’t give them. I went after so long and really my whole mood is ruined. How hard is it to put mayo packets.
Ordered 2 drinks. Paid $8.00 for a peppermint hot chocolate and Mocha. Ridiculous for 2 drinks. Then we had to wait and pull ahead while 7 vehicles passed us. When we finally got our drinks, they were not made very good. My peppermint Mocha had hardly any peppermint and no whip cream. Between the wait and the crappy drink and expensive, I will not ever be visiting this store again.
I’m usually not the one to complain but this was very unprofessional and disgusting. My friend and I were sitting in the McDonalds drive through for 10 minutes or so, there were two males standing in one of the lanes waiting to have their order taken. A worker tries to take our order but since the two males were on foot and there before us we told her to let them go first. The worker took their order, the males got a 2-3 burgers, drinks… whatever. The worker asks us what we would like and as my friend was saying her order the worker cut her off and said the only thing they are offering is ice cream because they are closing in 30 minutes. My friend got upset since the two males order burgers 2 seconds ago and now she can’t get hers? My friend expressed her feelings, then the worker took her order again. Her order: medium Sprite McDouble only ketchup. We were sitting in the drive through for about 5 minutes, the two males come to us explaining how the workers are turning everyone away because their grill was broken. Seems odd how at first you didn’t wanna take my friends order, you ended up taking her order, then your grill broke? We ended up going to the window and they gave us her burger, as the worker handed over the burger my friend asked “ketchup only right?” The worker said “yes” Weird how she got her food and the boys didn’t? When they ordered first🤔 We go and sit in the parking lot she takes a couple fries, they were hard as a rock, and cold. They were not fresh what so ever, she ends up getting her burger and as she took a bite of her burger her tongue starts to go numb, the burger had mustard, ketchup and a pickle on it. Keep in mind she’s allergic to mustard we go back to the window and ask for a refund, the worker went to talk to her manager and they said “no we can give you a coupon” My friend expressed how she doesn’t want a coupon, she doesn’t want to come back, she’s upset and would like her money back. She reminded the manger she made sure it was ketchup only when she handed her the food…. We sat there for 5 minutes arguing with the manger for a refund. My friend finally got her money back. Saying your grill is broken to some customers to do less work 30 minutes before closing but continue to take other orders? Absolutely disgusting.
I went through drive through and everything went well, I ordered a large fries to get the monopoly pieces and once I got home they had been taken off! I only got the large for the monopoly pieces! To say I'm not happy is an understatement! I'm pissed off
I don’t normally complain and certainly don’t like it when I feel the need. However, this specific McDonalds is really frustrating when it comes to getting orders correct. We just went to the drive through and ordered 3 hamburgers with extra pickles and extra onions, a Happy Meal with fries and a Fillet Fish with fries. Given my wife’s past experiences she checked the bag before leaving. The fries were cold. So my wife went inside and waited for them to make new fries. We then drove home (12 minutes away), and sat down to eat. Well, never thought I’d have to check the hamburgers since the special order receipt was on the packaging specifying xtra pickles and xtra onions. Unwrapped the burger and absolutely no onions. Not even a single tiny cube. Opened the other two and same, no onions. I know it seems so petty but I, myself, generally do not eat here so I was looking forward to the hamburgers. Very disappointing, how a simple quality control check can be missed, even when the receipt clearly identifies the expected outcome, and, being 12 minutes away, makes a 25 minute round trip and waste of gas if I wanted to have this corrected. So one has to suck it up. My wife did call and they offered to send coupons. My preference would have been for them to drive out to our house with them, but of course, someone would be expecting a tip. Moral of the story, never assume that there can’t be anything more wrong with an order beside cold fries. Cobourg McDonalds, please practice quality control before passing the bag to your paying customers.
When visiting an established company like McDonald's, there is an expectation that the experience and quality of the food would be consistent. Unfortunately at this location, not only did one of the self-serve kiosks not work at all, the second kiosk had a faulty screen and there wasn't anybody manning the cash. After waiting 10 minutes for my order I walked back to my vehicle to find that the Big Mac and fries were cold. Considering that this location was not busy, I can't explain the poor service and quality. There are many other food options out there....I would suggest passing on this one.
Always busy, food is consistent. Service is random, one day topnotch and next non-existent. Highly suggest do not go if there has been a recent power outage. They need time to reset systems and have a vape session before getting back to serving "food".
2023 July 2.5★ This place is slow. There's lack of staff. Everyone is busy preparing the food and with the kiosks, they limit time taking orders or providing customer service. Everything else was ok. Hopefully this is temporary. Seating on the patio very nice. Well decorated. Play place also available.

Showed up in the drive thru, waited forever, even spoke to see if anyone could hear me and no one said anything to me. Went online, they were open... But no one would take my order...So I backed out and drove next door to Wendys and was served right away. Was able to see the drive thru window to the McDonalds... Seems the girl working the window was too caught up with the dude at the window to pay attention to other customers.

Last night I ordered happy meals we didn t get a full happy meal 2 fries and when we got them they were way over cooked and some weren t cooked at all no in between, today we came again and we ordered more happy meals we didn t get any of our fries and we didn t get our toys or the actual buckets themselves safe to say the happy meals did not make us happy

This morning was a disaster, I waited in line for a long time anothers in front of me were being served with mistakes, and the front counter was undersuported. Its the third time I have to start my working day without breakfast because of the service here in the morning. I might never come back here for breakfast.
Well, its a McDonalds. People working here understand English and you do not have to repeat yourself like at Tims. It also has the best coffee for the price going around.

Due to working closes myself my food options are limited. The last few times I ve ordered my order hasn t been properly prepared. They night staff DO NOT FOLLOW CUSTOMERS ORDERS. There is always ice in my drink even tho I clearly say no ice the fries are never salted and they take over 20 minutes to fulfill the order. Their customer service is severely lacking. They are more interested in talking with their co workers than being polite and friendly with the customer. They need staff that knows what they are doing. I ve been in the food industry for 15 years and never have I provided someone with a meal not made to what they ordered.

We have had problems more than once at this location. On one occasion, all our egg McMuffins had egg shells in them. Our must recent issue is when trying to do multiple mobile orders through the drive thru they told us we had to go back through the drive thru a second time, wasting at least another 5 to 10 minutes of our time, just to get another coffee, when all they had to do is take a few seconds to press a few buttons to process the order. We are McDonalds regulars, but I may not go back to this location because of what I believe to be substandard customer service

Staff was lovely, but food is lacking. Ordered sundaes and cups were 2/3 full. It would be nice to be able to have peanuts with the sundae too. This is the last time I get ice cream at McDonalds.

I cant believe the cost of burgers. This was the first time I have gone to McDonalds in years. I got a crispy chicken BLT. It was horrible the lettuce was completely wilted and the bun was burnt.

Food is the same as any other McDonalds, no issue there. The service was slow, they didnt know how to work with the app/coupons and the kiosks were frozen and not in proper working order. The cleanliness was pretty bad. Milkshake on the ground, garbages needed to be emptied, tables were really messy and sticky.

I went coburg mcd 2 days ago , at the front counter there were 2 people one was the younger ( may be his name was sahil ) and second was old lady ( may be name was kathyy or else) I have seen that younger guy was working great and fast also he was the only active employee on the front counter , while other old lady was workingg tooooooo much slow and irritating sahill for silly reason . Drive thru is the best in the morning. They have an amazing lady with great customer care. Always smiling and happy to service. However, some people are hard to understand and constantly mess up our orders, since they we havent been there as much as we use too unless its for the play center as my son loves it.

If foreigners are to be hired you would think they would at least be able to understand/ speak English. Very frustrating trying to make an order and pay for my order even though there was a very capable English speaking woman with her (most likely to help her co worker communicate and understand/ train her co worker) even having that other young lady help the customers with the language barrier would have helped this situation but she just leaned against the wall as both me and the other worker struggled to understand each other. Then my payment was taken by debit tap and the take out window slammed shut. No apologies or any quality customer service.
Employee Kaitlyn is THE BEST!!!! She was so nice, patient, and has such a good personality!! Please make her a manager, she 100% deserves it.

Very frustrated with this location, why is service so horrible. My friend and I where just there at 10:15 pm febuary 29th 1st problem is we watched your staff member at the counter make a Mcflurry and while doing so dropped the spoon on the floor, afterwards she went ahead and put the spoon back in the mc flurry and put it I the bag as calls my friends order number. He confronted her the manager told her to make a new one that is besides the point!!!! 2nd problem is we waited for 20 mins for our orders, our food was cold when we got it 3rd problem is I got back to my hotel room and I was missing half of my order. I will never be returning to this location and hope other are mindful of situations like this. My guess there s a lack of training and managers need to be on top of there workers and make sure they are trained properly

This place is Horrible and the owners need a lot of training. First, I just went through the drive today, Sat. March 2nd, and ordered 2 baked apples pies, they said they did not have 2 pies and only gave me one and replaced the other pie with a frozen Boston cream doughnut,, yuck. Also I waited for a while for just 2 simple orders that need not to be cooked. Also, last week in my other drive through experience I ordered Fries only, and everytime I get the Fries they are cold and taste very bad. Horrible, not fresh.. Also my sister orders coffee in the drive through and everytime they put sugar in when she only asked for cream. EVERYTIME is a BAD Horrible experience. Parking: Parking is a A bit tight,, and the food especially the fries are not fresh. They gave me a frozen doughnut to replace a hot baked apple pie and many times the coffee order is wrong.

This place is a nightmare! They never get your order right. Its like buying a kinder surprise for your child, you dont know what youre going to get until you get home. Management is extremely rude to customers, when they are asked to fix orders; using a bully like mentality. Customer service is non existent in this restaurant. They charge for every single topping (onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo) which are free at most locations. They also don t do refills which is custom to fast food places. Will not go here again even if it s the only option. I would rather go hungry than give them my business again.

Not sure who was managing the store tonight but half of our order was wrong, one error which resulted in an allergic reaction. Ordered a McDouble, received a cheeseburger. Ordered a quarter pounder with no pickle as I m allergic, quarter pounder came with pickles. Order slip clearly says Only Ketchup. Wasn t even busy. Careless errors.

We went through the double drive thru. We waited in the drive thru and watched multiple customers place their orders, but our lane still hadnt moved. When we finally ordered, we had to repeat our very basic order multiple times, only to be received with poor customer service and the order was incorrect. Hard Fail.

Wow, McDonald s. Completely disappointed. Tried to surprise my son with a hot lunch for school and apparently you re unable to throw a basket of fries in the fryer 20 minutes before you start serving lunch. Luckily the WENDY S right next door said it was no problem! And they were able to whip up a quick nugget and fries meal for my son. Needless to say your lack of accommodation has solidified my choice to never go to this restaurant again.

Worst experience tonight attempting to order via drive thru at 10:28pm. Milk crates blocking the drive thru lanes. Online clearly states drive thru is open to 11pm. I call the store and they answer, I ask why there s crates blocking the drive thru. The guy proceeds to tell me they closed at 10pm barley finishing his sentence as he s hanging up on me. If you closed at 10pm why are you answering the phones after you re closed? Wish zero stars was an option here.
Went there last night as both the app and this site says the drive thru was open until 1100 pm. There were cartons in front of the drive thru lanes blocking access at 1042 pm. I went home. Healthier decision.

Their hot fudge sundaes have the least amount of ice cream with the least amount of fudge. Photo for reference. Though I understand this is a business and the franchise owners are cutting costs at every possible corner, which is to be expected as evidenced by the hot fudge sundae or lack thereof, the owners should at least update the menu images to reflect that you do not in fact get the advertised amount of fudge, or ice cream.

Careful ordering here. It s hit and miss if your order will come out right. We order from here almost weekly and the staff are very friendly, unfortunately it s a 1 to 3 chance your order will be fulfilled correctly. For example tonight I ordered a 10 piece nugget meal, opened the box to only have 5 nuggets. Just double check your orders.

Just went through the drive thru on William in Cobourg. Worst service. They asked me to pull up to the window as they were waiting on fries. Fries? Its McDonalds for crying out loud. I waited for the longest time. Literally had to get out of the car and walk to the drive thru window to ask about my order. I was then told they were waiting on the chicken. Which is it, the fries or the chicken? Either way, the wait was far too long. Very disappointing.

The cobourg location has gone downhill ever since it changed ownership. I would say the this location messes up my order 7/10 times in drive thru.. they messed up my breakfast order today including the remake. I will never return to this location, I will go to port hope instead where they seem to know what they are doing.

So me and my partner come in there at least once a week and order the same thing pretty much every time. And every time he asks for extra pickles and extra onions of course there is NEVER extra. In fact 1-3 pickles and very little to no onion. When people ask for extra. Give them extra, they are paying for their food to be made properly. Next time I will be checking in the parking lot if our food is to proper standards and if is not I will be coming back in

I had bad experience today , I went to buy icream for my kids there were staff ignoring me . I was waiting for about 20 min , and none of the staff approaching to take the order, the only thing I notice giggling and laughing in Indian language, I asked , can someone take my order , the lady said do you want to order ?. I Said why do you thing I am standing here for? and went to other side of the queue, so I released I was staying at the wrong side of the queue ,there is no sign which side is the order side, so I reliased ,I had to stay behind 10 people to make my order again , I was frustrated and left , the most of the staff there dont care at all about the costumers , and they are so unskilled and very unprofessional , very slow , I recommend no one to go there as is waste of time

Stopped here on way home from jays game recently. Arrived at 11:41 pm placed order at drive thru. Upon getting one of the two drinks I had asked for, I was asked to pull ahead as we were waiting for fries. When the employee brought the food to the window, I asked about the other drink I never received. She immediately started arguing with me about how NO you did not order another drink, I simply said I did and if you didnt hear it i cant help that, but my Friend heard me order it so not sure why arguing was the solution. She finally said, fine! Ill get you a drink, even though you did NOT order it. i repeated that I had ordered it and she went on about how she had the reciept, and it wasnt on there. We of course were not given a reciept and she argued about this as well. My friend opened his grilled chicken, dry, black no sauce , no lettuce and when we asked about this she started arguing about this as well. We eventually pulled back around to the window, wanting the sandwich fixed and my drink I never received. The manager was trying to put out the fire she had made, telling us the staff arent properly trained and new. I simply requested my reciept, which took 3 of them fumbling around on there computer to produce one. The service at this store has to be the worst service of any restaurant I have been to in YEARS! It was atrocious! And the constant Arguing from the young female staff was beyond anything Ive ever witnessed! From the time we arrived, to the time they produced a reciept and us on our way was 38 minutes! Dont waste your time going here.

Might be under new management as they are disorganized. Have to repeat everything, ask for payment when its prepaid & presented the wrong order at pick up window twice. Food is not hot like it was years ago now that everything is pre made. This applies to all Mcdonalds locations. Self serve order boards are easy to use. So is the McD order app. Deals on the app are poor in value. Drive thru reps can never understand your mobile order code and takes 3 times to find the order.

It was a good thing that I opened up my order in front of the staff while I was still in the drive thru. Can you believe that I ordered chicken nuggets and they didnt put that in my bag. When I asked them, they were asking me if I was sure. Duhhhh, Im still right in front of YOU. Where did you hide them, in air? Instead of apologizing, they just took my bag and searched through to make sure it wasnt included. Did I mention that it was a happy meal I bought? I also ordered an extra cheese burger, no onions or pickles. I guess they DONT know how NOT to make a burger without the unwanted toppings.

You would think that having a fixed menu would give a pretty good shot at getting your order right and yet they still screw mine up about 2 times out of ten.
Everything was spot on and delicious
Fast service, very friendly and attentive staff. Followed me out to my parking spot thinking I had not received part of my order. All was fine with my order, but I really appreciated that one of the associates would make the effort to ensure that I hadnt been short changed. Cant see that happening at too many other places.
It s McDonald s. I don t expect much but since they changed over manegment or ownership or something it has been a rollercoaster. It takes forever to get anything and then the staff get mad that I double check my sauce is in the meal. Saying they always get it it in. My nephew looses his mind if he doesn t have sauce so I absolutely check. 50/50 it s actually there I have driven to the one in port hop and back once while a friend went to this location. And somehow I beat them back to the house?
