The bathrooms at this location were disgusting. Flecks of fecal matter, stuck to the wall. The floors looked like it hasnt seen a mop in the entire day. No toilet paper. Upon exiting, I found that my wife had a similar experience. We both decided not eat at this location. I highly recommend skipping this location, if you at all enjoy A&W. Stomache turning.

I had exactly the same experience as a previous reviewer. Bathroom is surprisingly gross, and partially out of order, a month later. I hope the kitchen is cleaner than the bathroom!

Love the onion rings!

My husband and I used to go to this location quite often as our weekend lunch date. We both love the nostolgic traits of this restaurant. Unfortunately, new owners took over, and now theres no longer glass mugs for your root beer or the most amazing onion rings. The service is barely acceptable. Its just no longer the Burger King that we remember, and isnt that the whole point about Burger King to make you remember those days. Now its much more like a cafeteria with miserable service.

Food wasnt great but wasnt bad. Burger was dry. Other than that this establishment was clean and staff was friendly..

Was really looking for to breakfast as I heard A&W does a great one. Sign outside says all day breakfast. Arrive there at 11:03 am to order 4 breakfast meals only to be told they end breakfast at 11am. Not one single person in the restaurant or drive through yet they refuse to provide service.

I ask for scrambled eggs and I received an old egg on the grill chopped up in tiny pieces. The hash brown was raw in the middle and the bacon was hard as rock (overcooked). This was the worst breakfast Ive ever had. My wifes was the same, over easy was old on the grill and was rubbery. It was awful!!! Well never go there again!

A&W has and always will be my go to fast food restaurant. I always love it for its combination of quality and cost. Vegetarian options: Beyond meat burgers

Terrible service went threw drive threw they over charged me and when I went inside all she said was I repeated the order to you. Huge language barrier tried to explain but she still did not want to fix her mistakes.

Normally I really enjoy A&W, but this restaurant was so disgusting and dirty. The floors were sticky, the tables were not cleaned, the counters were also very dirty. The environment of this particular location is so off putting.

Food was barely warm did not send my drink with my order. I called the store to tell them they had forgotten my drink they told me to drive over to pick it up if I drove a car I wouldnt have had it delivered. Person on the other end of the phone said the manager would call me back. Still waiting for the call. Will never order form them again.

Baby burgers are always delicious but every single time I go it takes about 10 minutes for two baby burgers and a fountain drink. Customer service isn t always the best either

Cobourg A&W you have good food. BUT PLEASE CLEAN. I went In there today and had to go to he washroom before ordering. I literally was coughing because of the smell of urine in the mens washroom. I dont know think health inspectors go in there but oh my god that was the worst experience in my life I had to cover my face as I went numer 2... I told the lady at the counter and just left, ate else where after that. I might be back but will deff see if they cleaned but abit more before I order food here again.... That was very disgusting I really hope the store owner looks into this matter please.

Onion rings were overcooked. Beyond burger undercooked. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff and the restaurant and washrooms were unclean. Been to many A&W restaurants and this one was such a disaster.

So this just happened. Wish I didnt take two bites before noticing the big mold spot on the bun. Gross!

Our hotel restaurant was closed as we arrived late. The only place open was A&W. The food was good as were the fries. I had the curly fries and they were delicious! Food : 4/5 |

My biggest issue was the entire lack of any feminine hygiene disposal. Good luck to your plumbing. In addition, the bathroom was disgusting. The cleaning sheet posted said it was cleaned 30 minutes ago...HA, maybe 30 days ago. Food is fast food, yet not even up to those standards..not that I ate there this time as I was so disgusted.

Not gonna lie I come here pretty often and don t complain bc working food service sucks but tonight was the worst lol. They were out of beyond meat so I only got fries (understandable) but my partners burger was wrong too and they also refused our cash, so overall a fun and neat visit!

This was a total disaster, we were the only customers in the restaurant and ordered two hamburger meals, they arrived two min later both the fries and burgers were cold. When we mentioned it the staff she was put off, no apology and the place is filthy dirty. We got our money back and left, awful experience. If I could give it a zero star I would.

I have always enjoyed A&W, which was my favorite spot for years. The mozza burgers patty is never fresh. I swear they keep leftovers from the day before always dry, stale buns and hot and cold sweet potato fries. The most disgusting of all, they feel that they dont have to wear the hairnets. I gave this restaurant to many chances time for a change.

They aren t ready when they open, and then they tell me it s only another 15mins for their oil to heat! They are located 3mins off the major highway and then when you arrive they are not ready to serve. Total disappointment!

Onion rings are delicious which is all I go to A&W for but the portion size is unjustifiably small for $6.00 with tax. Maybe 7-8 onion rings in a bag. Shrinkflation at its finest.

I took my brother to get some food yesterday and as we are sitting down I notice how filthy the restaurant is and I looked up at the light and there is a rotting tomato stuck to the light and I almost puked they need to learn how to clean properly because that has probably been there for along time it s absolutely disgusting!!!

Very dissatisfied. Food was just ok, place was not clean. Floors were littered and dirty. Only one toilet stall was clean enough to use. This is the 3rd AW in the past months and none were friendly. Very disappointed.

Stop for four cups of coffee and it was good coffee hot hot hot! I would go back again for a cup of coffee at A & W.

Burgers made with high quality ingredients. Very rich! The own soft drink made with cane sugar, also with an excellent flavor.

I usually really enjoy A&W, today I tried their Best burger ever Service at the drive-through was really quick (around 2:30) food was ready almost immediately which suggests it was sitting. When unwrapped it was rather underwhelming, certainly didnt look like the pictures. The fried pickles were all soggy, the patty was kind of greasy. Cheese was good (real cheddar) sautéed onions under patty added a Carmelized onion taste. As I said the burger was on the greasy side. I will stick with a teen burger in the future.

Was just in there the entire place smells like backed up sewage cant even walk in the bathrooms the floors are disgusting how theyre still staying in business I have no clue no one has called the health department on them yet I ended up just walking out

Took the kids to this restaurant on the way home from Kingston over the weekend. Restaurant was empty all tables were dirty. Had to clean our own table. Not to standards.

Tried the new Best Burger Ever about a week or so ago. Its actually the worst burger Ive had from this location, tasted nothing but grease and felt nauseous after eating. Not the locations fault I assume , just bad product development from A&W.

I would highly recommend this A & W as a on-route pit stop. It is just a short jaunt off if the 401 in COBOURG Ont. Relatively quick service for freshly prepared meals. Food was hot and tasted just made fresh. The employee was friendly and pleasant. There are other stores nearby such as Giant Tiger and Dollarama which can also be helpful during a pit stop. Dietary restrictions: The lettuce wrap is amazing. It is a low to no carb option that truly satisfies.

Did not have pinot gregio or merlot at the bar Wifes chicken caesar salad was oily, with no flavor to it. She ate the chicken and left all the greens. My house spagetti was very good, but my garlic toast was not delivered to our table until i was almost finished, and then after two requests. Waited 12 minutes to get our bill. This was our 4th. Time and it was so below the other times both in quality and service

A&W is usually a top-notch fast food experience, but this location was a little lacking. The space (both client and employee) was not clean and service was decent, but not something to write home about. Access was also weird, as there is construction going on around the whole parking lot. I am looking forward to my next visit to know if I under or over rated the place.

Came for dinner with the kids. No chicken pieces. No milk. No bar with the kids pack (and they didnt tell us, and didnt see any to address it). The onion rings were not cooked properly (batter falling off the onion). The Howd we do? machine was broken/off. And the clock on the wall was also dead. We go to A&W all the time with the kids and generally have a good experience. This was the worst fast food experience weve ever had.

Ice machine not working for the fountain pop. Poutine came in and was cold, after taking it back to counter and talking to the cashier , she brought the cook out who argued with me that the gravy was hot, maybe it was because the curds were cold. Told her that did not matter, the poutine should be warmer then room temperature( and that was being generous in temperature) and since my chicken burger was hot and fresh , I believed the poutine was made too soon and sat to wait for the burgers to be done. She finally offered to make a new one, which was hot and thanked her. Husband used the facilities before leaving and only the urinals were available. Will not be stopping at this A&W again. Gave a 3 star because the chicken burger, and my husbands teen combo were good( minus the availability of ice for the drink)

Horrible! Wish i could give 0 stars. Ordered a mama burger with only lettuce cheese mustard and ketchup, All i got was a plain burger with like half a ball of lettuce! Disgusting! Extremly rude workers to! So unfortunate.

Who doesn t love a mozza burger, or a double. I remember as a teenager grabbing this all the time. Still taste as good as before just don t forget to add a side of fries. Staff are always fast and friendly. Orders are always done with no mistakes and always taste great when I get home to chow down. Try this location you won t be disappointed.

Cute stand alone restaurant. I like A&W quality but almost $30 for 2 combos is crazy for fast food. Restaurant was small and the few empty tables werent cleaned from the previous diners.

Best A&W Ive been to. In Cobourg they take care in the preparation of their food, and it shows. As well, they are always kind and courteous. Good people making good food. Other locations seem to just throw it together which means it does nothing short of fall apart in a mess while you eat, says alot about the employees.
