Moved from Brampton trying to find a place that had samosas. Their samosas are so good and tasty, also I had samosa chaat for the first time and it was so so good. Very clean and awesome service. I recommend this place, you will no regret.

Usually ordering a butter chicken or chicken curry the rice comes automatically. Here you have to have a seperate order for rice! Naan bread was out of this world A touch on the spicy side and no option to adjust Food : 4/5

I periodically drive from Toronto to Ottawa and usually stop for fast food on the way. This time, I felt like having a sit down meal instead and found Tabdoori Smoke on Google. It s a small place close to the highway with great food and service! The food was flavourful and plentiful and the staff was friendly and made great recommendations. This place will now be part of my routine when I make the drive.

We visited this restaurant for the first time last night. We were greeted with a smile. We mentioned it being our first visit. He recommended a few dishes he thought we d enjoy. While waiting for our food he brought us out some samples. The chef even came out to ask us how we liked it! The food was hot and delicious when we got home. My dish was so large I ate it for lunch the next day. We will definitely be back!

Glad that we found this hidden gem. We started returning to Montreal from Ripleys Aquarium Toronto. We knew that itll b a bit traffic near Toronto. So after the on route around 1-2 hr drive from Toronto.. we were looking for a good halal restaurant and we found this place. Everything was freshly prepared. We had ordered Tea, butter chicken, chicken tandoori, garlic naan, basmati Rice and aalo Gobi. The Fresh garlic minced gave naan a special taste. Would definitely recommend this place.

Was new to Cobourg and decided to try this place because of the excellent reviews. Being an Indian, I am very particular about Indian food and Tandoori Smoke did not disappoint. The Chicken Biryani was flavourful and fresh without being overtly spicy or oily and would please all kinds of food lovers. The spicy Eggplant (Baigan Bhartha) made more for the bold Indian palate reminded me of yummy cooking from back home. The Channa Masala (chickpeas) were tasty and all the portions were very reasonable. The Lassi was very authentic and not the poor cousin version that we find in most Indian restaurants in the GTA. To top it up, the chef is a friendly soul who enjoys cooking as his hobby and has very friendly staff at the take out. I prophesy that soon Tandoori smoke will be needing a much bigger place! Thank you I enjoyed good Indian take out after a long time!

The food from Tandoori Smoke is excellent. I spent 3 weeks in India last year and this comes the closest to what I remember enjoying. I called an hour ahead for pick up at a specific time and it was piping hot and ready to go when I arrived. Very convenient, well priced, and delicious.

Our first time trying Tandoori Smoke, for no good reason since weve known about it for awhile. Our loss, until today. We ordered chana masala for my vegetarian wife and butter chicken for me, rice, regular naan bread and a samosa, all to be picked up at a set time. The food was ready when I arrived, but was still piping hot. The portion sizes are excellent...the amount of chicken in the butter chicken was literally double the amount we were recently given by the other (and recently slipping) Indian resto in town. The naan bread and rice portions generous as well. We were both impressed with the taste of everything. Classic recipes done classically, and both main dishes were far superior to what the other place in town has recently been serving. The samosa was good though not quite as good as the other place in town. The decor is minimal, as this is a takeout-only place. So basically irrelevant for the purpose of this review. The person who greeted us was perfunctory and had us paid and out of there with our food quickly, which is what we want in a takeout resto. Im not looking for a new best friend; I simply wanted my food quickly, and they delivered. One small piece of ordering advice: Their spicing is a tad heavy so everything was one step spicier than typical. Mild was closer to medium, medium was closer to spicy. Next time we will just ask them to take the spice level down a notch to get the balance we prefer.

Bad experience, first time we went there by seeing the rating on google map. The customer service was bad no greeting the guy in the front desk looking like do not want to work. Moreover, half of the menu they dont have available

Butter Chicken is just awesome.

We tried this restaurant because of Google reviews and it did not disappoint!! The food was absolutely delicious My partner ordered online, and within minutes they called us to confirm our order and set a pick up time. As soon as he walked in the door he was greeted pleasantly and very quickly! No problems with our order and everything was ready at pickup time. When he brought the food home, the scent was just mouthwatering!! And the flavours, amazing! We ordered what we thought was plain steamed rice to go with our food, and it was not plain, the aroma and flavour from all the spices was so good, and complemented the main dishes perfectly! I cant say enough about this place, it was amazing, and we have already ordered more than once, and already looking forward to the next time!!

The food is wonderful even though it is spicy for me. Everything I have enjoyed has been terrific especially the samosas, garlic naan, and butter chicken. Take out is very straightforward and I always call direct as opposed to using a food ordering platform as those services cut into the restaurant profit. Its always a pleasure to speak with the owners and staff directly and I wish them much well deserved success!

I had a great experience at Tandoori Smoke. I tried their Seekh Kebab wrap, Vegetable Biryani and Vegetable samosa. They were all delicious. I would only like to mention that their kebabs were a bit spicy for me. I also asked them if I could buy just a portion of biryani to taste. Instead, they gave me a box of biryani for FREE :) Thank you for the great food and the customer service. I am looking forward to coming here again.

As someone who moved away from the city during the pandemic I m always on the lookout for authentic and diverse food options and Tandoori Smoke delivered. Everything was really good, but the chicken tikka masala really stood out, maybe the best I ve ever had. Will be back!

FINALLY, truly authentic Indian food close to home! We just had the leftovers for lunch and the flavours were as equally as good as last night, it was so good that I just had to come and leave a review. You need to be able to take some heat, but the flavours are magnificent! Every bite was a taste explosion. If you like us enjoy real, honest and fresh Indian food you will not regret trying this place. (The only downfall is that we live dangerously close to the restaurant and will have to practice some restraint!). It is the kind of food that you will remember long after you have finished your last bite.

Had the butter chicken wrap and two samosas for lunch. Everything was delicious and the wrap was quite large. Very filling and delicious. Very well priced for the amount and quality of the food. The staff were super friendly. Will definitely be going again.

We moved to Cobourg recently from BC. Have been craving a really good Indian place to remind us of home. Have tried the one downtown a few times - all well and good - but Tandoori Smoke takes it to another level! Was told all entrees are cooked to a Mild spice level we asked for Medium just the right amount of heat. Ordered the basics butter chicken, tikka masala, plain naan and veggie samosas. They didn t have pakoras available yet (next time though). Ordered for pick up at a specific time; it was prepared and ready as I walked in. Oddity: I m used to seeing a large menu with options for vindaloo, Jaipuri, roganjosh, bhuna, kadahi, korma versions of entrees. But I m certain you ll find something you love too. Will be trying again soon.

Loved the food! We travel all over to find good Indian restaurants, and it s exciting to have somewhere local now. It was our first time here so we ordered a variety some curry, tika masala, paneer, rice and breads. Everything was fresh and great flavours. Portions were good for some leftovers (we ordered one main dish per person and shared all). Will definitely be coming back regularly!

WoW! Coming from England, I have tried my fair share of Currys. From fine dining at the Cinnamon Club to the local curry house, there are many flavours I have experienced over the years. Chef Rahmans food and Waqass customer service are top notch! Super friendly, generous portions and great flavours made in the traditional way. Our 6 year old son has never tried any sort of Indian cuisine before (we have tried many times) In fact he is quite a fussy eater, but my wife and I were completely gob smacked when he ate the tandoor chicken and liked it! Thanks so much for coming to Cobourg. We look forward to going through your whole menu. I would highly recommend!

Really delicious food, had both the curry chicken and lamb, with a garlic naan and rice, everything about the meal was great . Also, I am a delivery driver in the area, this restaurant treats the drivers very well, and has their orders packed and ready to go ON TIME. Much appreciated. We had lunch today at the Tandoori Smoke today! Amazing! Flavorful! We thought it was a sit down restaurant but it s just take out now. The man had a nice wicker table and chairs let us sit there. (Reno s not done yet). So we had the place to our selves. The server was great explaining the different foods and even brought us out a few other foods to sample. . Will definitely be back! It was very good, tasty and authentic, I expected slightly different dishes from what was described on the menu but what I got was still very good. The lamb is delicious, although Im not used to having lamb on the bone in a curry, it did give lots of flavor and was so tender. The matar paneer was good but I think Id prefer the palak paneer when it becomes available. The butter naan also very good. I did find the prices expensive but I am on an extremely low income so that obviously changes my perspective. The staff and customer service are exceptional. I will be back to try many more dishes. Really amazing Indian food. We had five dishes all of which were delicious and generous. The samosas had a nice heat to them while everything else we ordered wasn t too spicy. There s only takeout currently (July 2023) but the place was definitely busy with orders.

We went to Tandoori Smoke on Friday for food. They do not have the inside set up for dining in quite yet so we got take out. I am vegetarian and celiac and I was very impressed with the vegetarian/gluten-free options on their menu, which is something very much lacking at other places in town. The gentleman who took our order was very knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up ordering a palak paneer for me, chicken tikka masala for my spouse, basmati rice to split and two samosas to take home. It was all great, high quality food, with enough leftover for dinner the following evening. We will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: They have an entire vegetarian curry section on their menu. Dietary restrictions: They have options for those with dietary restrictions very clearly labelled on their menu.

The food is amazing. We had lamb Tikka and lamb curry. Both very different flavors. Both yummy yummy yummy. Plain Naan and basmati rice were nice too. Highly recommended.

We tried this place after seeing all the 5 star reviews. Sadly it did not measure up. The butter chicken was some kind of BBQ chicken in a plain tomato sauce. It didnt taste like butter chicken at all. The rice Palau left a terrible soapy after taste. We ended up throwing that out, and the Bryani was super salty. No one had seconds and this was a real dissapointment. Wouldnt recommend if you are looking for great Indian food.

So far it s just take out. But the food is sensational! As you walk in you are caught with the freshness of all ingredients. The food is superbly prepared. The service is extremely friendly. It s as good a restaurant overall as I have ever found.

Wow, we just had Tandoori Smoke for the first time and it was delicious! We love all the veg options and had the Garlic Naan, Basmati Rice, Chana Masala, Aloo Palak, and the Baingan Bharta. Everything was extremely tasty, flavourful, and fresh. We are very happy that they opened in Cobourg and we will be back many times.

Hidden Gem!! I was apprehensive to give this place a try due to its odd location, but so glad I ordered from here! I ordered the butter naan, butter chicken, and samosas. All three were excellent. The naan was pillowy, chewy, and delicious. The butter chicken is far better than any Ive tried so far - lots of flavour, and just enough spice. Their samosas are great as well. I also tried ordering a smoked eggplant dish but it was unfortunately unavailable. Excited to order from here in the future, especially during the colder months ahead!

We Tandoori Smoke! We miss Gerrard st e but this is the best of all. When the eggplant dish is not available we miss it but this very new, superior quality eatery is doing everything it can to be successful- we need to come once a week ( and why wait for the weeked!?) naan so buttery crisp i wanted to lick the package, spices make a statement but dont kill you, really, really wonderful food. staff were also so helpful! come today!

Fabulous meal. I booked for 14 adults for our family Christmas lunch. They were very accommodating (by coming in early to prep for my timeframe request) and pleasant. We ordered tandoori smoke bases of reviews and I was truly looking forward to it. The samosas were great but the sauce that came with it was past its best before date, the little container were bulging with the fermentation happening because they were expired and one explode on the counter once home and the other when opened thats when we found out it was bad by tasting it. We call informed them and they agreed after checking what they had on hand and told us not to eat it. The other dishes we ordered were the butter chicken and curry chicken both were ok not much in the way of flavour. But with that said I usually give restaurants a couple attempts before writing them off completely. It s too bad that dine in is not available.
