Papa Johns Pizza in Cobourg

There was a mistake with my order; when I called to tell them they were extreme rude. Even texted my phone after our call demanding I send pictures and calling me a liar. I ve been a customer for many years, until now. Terrible customer service.

Best place to have a great pizza

Pizza was shorted on order and they didnt do anything about getting it to us at all....were a local business and we wouldnt dare treat customers this way. service is as bad as the food

Always loved papa johns in cobourg but under new ownership t he pizza has gone downhill. The last pizza I got there had virtually no tomato sauce and toppings were less than normal .

Wonderful service, deelicious pizza

After having a terrible experience across the street and little ceaser I decided to come over to papa johns the atmosphere of this pizza place was unreal the young kids in the back working but also having a great time making pizza while singing along to some music was lovely to hear. I would also like to add what wonderful customer service this establishment has. Not only was I greeted when I came in by a young man with a smile and asking me how I was and what I would like. They went above and beyond I accidentally forgot my wallet in the store. the young man returned my wallet to my home. Papa johns you have some incredible employees on your hands. Thank you so much papa johns pizza Iam very greatful of your kind act

Tried to order a simple order over the phone just two pizzas was about half way through then I got hung up on. I figured I lost connection so I called back just to be put on hold for 5 minutes, than got hung up on again. The service here doesnt even seem like they care. Not sure who hired these people but probably should check in on them and make sure they are actually working.

I went to Papa John s on July 3 Wednesday night was not impressed again this is the second time I ve had problems and I ve ordered there twice first of all the lady on the phone couldn t understand me very well and I couldn t understand her so I picked it up I got the two medium pizzas with three toppings each. The pizzas were ready on time, but the toppings were a few and far between didn t have very many maybe couple of pepperonis couple of pieces of beef a few mushrooms not all not going back.

We asked for one order of breadsticks and some dipping sauces to be delivered tonight. I know its not a big order, but sometimes thats what we are craving and we have a young daughter and a baby so its not always easy to go out. We ordered at 7:40ish and were told it would take 40 minutes, which I thought was too long but my husband already said ok so we decided to wait it out. Double that time went by and no breadsticks, and by then it was time for our daughter to go to bed, so my husband called to cancel the order. The guy said they were really backed up and nobody had even come to pick up the breadsticks to deliver to us yet. Unfortunately they didnt communicate that or maybe we would have made the effort to go and pick it up if it was just sitting there....but like I said, we canceled. Then a full two hours late, someone comes and rings our doorbell, disturbing our sleeping girls, looking to drop off our breadsticks. When my husband declined to pay for them since they were already canceled and two hours late...the guy drove off. At that point, you might want to just give the order to your customer for free. Seriously.

I ordered a large meat pizza thin crust and wings. Paid in cash as machine wasn t working. Pizza was over done. Dry hard crust. No flavor at all. Light on the sauce? Wings had a strange taste. I won t return.

Pizza was great! Ordered extra cheese and actually got extra cheese. Delivery driver was fast and efficient and a great guy. Wil be ordering from here again

Only 1 block from Scotiabank Arena. We went after the Leafs game on Saturday night vs the Rangers. Absolutely jammed and waited for a table. Only had drinks, and went to the bar to order. Servers were no where to be seen.

I ve ordered from them plenty of times and the lady/ manager is not very nice at all. They took my phone number wrong and got mad at me when the driver would reach me when they arrived after delivering to me before. They have messed up my order numerous times and forget things that are supposed to come with my order such as sides etc. do not recommend not trying to be rude but yet completely honest go somwhere else

Best pizza in town literally, just like 30$ for a decent pizza, no fault of the establishment but still not an every Friday kinda thing ya know. Employees 10/10 tho service is usually fast and food is good. NEVER EVEN FOUND SO MUCH AS ONE HAIR HERE Little Caesars. Amazing staff and amazing food!

Went last night and was able to feed 8 people for 35 bucks!!! After tax!!! That large 3 topping for 14.99 is honestly the best pizza deal in Cobourg. The staff were very friendly and got my pizza out within 10 Minutes! Gluten free pizza - a good GF pizza is hard to find. Papa Johns used to have that, but recently they introduced a different crust. It is really bad. Why change a good thing?

Great Staff!!! They know who they are! I am in almost daily to pick up my grandson s (who is on the spectrum) favorite Cheddar Garlic Knots! The older gentleman and/or young men at the cash always ask how my grandson is doing, means a lot to me. Their kindness and personal touch is appreciated!

Theres was an error with the app, it wouldnt allow me to order. The Cobourg, ON location fixed the error. I ordered delivery. It got delivered. There was an error within the app and the large plain cheese in my order wasnt there, the app had doubled the other pizza ordered. With starving kids, I called in, and we discussed the receipt order and -GRACIOUSLY- decided to send that large cheese pie. Being a regular customer is great, but they did not have to compt it, it wasnt the locations error. ABOVE AND BEYOND, MY KIDS AND MY SANITY THANK YALL!

Pizza was good. Lots of pineapple, however, I could count the pieces of tomatoes on it there were that little.

Papa Johns pizza is one of best tasting pizzas from a franchise in Cobourg. We wont order from another. The quality of the ingredients is higher than other places. The crust is perfect. The prices are higher on a regular day but order on Wacky Wednesday or check out their deals and its worth it. Plus the delivery guys are courteous and nice.

I normally do not write reviews but I feel that I need to warn future customers. Do not go into this establishment.Terrible customer service. No greeting. They seemed upset to have a customer place an order. They were not helpful with the menu. Spent $60.00. I will never go back into this place. Terrible experience.

Honestly, one of the worst pizzas we have ever had from an establishment. If it was store bought i would expect it to taste like cardboard. A large cheese and pepperoni thin crust, a few dipping sauces and a pop cost $33 with delivery. We ended up throwing a lot of it out. Word to the wise, make your own pizza. Then you know what youre getting and you will be able to tell the difference between the box and the pizza. Delivery was excellent. - Chris

DONT EAT HERE!! We went into the Cobourg location and ordered food. We sat in our car outside and watched our food being made by the redhead guy...No HAIR NET and hair not tied back. The guy was flicking his hair out of his face while making out food. We went in store to complain and he says they are not provided with hairnets. So disgusting. We cancelled our order and got our money back.

They have lost my business due to their customer service .ordered a pizza watched their tracking and when I noticed my pizza still sitting in the store after 20 minutes I called .the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude it a loud forceful voice said her driver was unavailable and she was waiting for him she advised, also in a rude voice are u cancelling . My only answer could be yes .this customer service rep did not apologize, did not offer another alternative outside of my cancelling my order .so disappointed will not be ordering again ordered from another Pizza Place in Cobourg fairly new Papa Pizza Land highly recommend not only was my pizza amazing it cost me $10.00 less

Half off Monday was 34 bucks, asked the delivery guy if I order the exact same thing tomorrow ,would my order be 68 bucks for 1 large pizza?, says ya , the online is a little confusing. Would love the explanation on this Monday half off scam...pizza was good tho, Just not 34 half off good..lol

Ordered pizza online yesterday and for some reason it has ranch sauce on pizza and not tomato sauce (why this is a topping is beyond me) didn t realize till I got home (25 min from store) pizza was just thrown out as it was just gross.. papa johns send me a survey today where I mentioned this and said I would enjoy some sort of credit and then was emailed almost immediately from the cobourg store saying that I picked this as a topping.. Where I said I defiantly didn t and not sure who would.... and got zero response after that.. $17 gone as well as meal for people.. I used to love Papa johns but cobourg store is the worst..

Tried to order from them for the first time today. Was on their website and had to call because I was having trouble ordering a specialty chicken pizza that Id seen on their menu. When I asked about the issue I was rudely informed that they had run out of chicken and then the girl on the phone hung up on me before I could even ask about other options. Decided to order from Dominos instead, and they had chicken.

I pre-order pizza for Halloween 5pm an at 530 still didnt arrive i called an who ever took my pre order call put it in for pick up so she gave me a credit on my account an sent our order out with the next driver..at 5:55 pizza came cold an hard so I sent it back with the driver..I called them an asked them seriously did they send me the pizza that was ready for 5pm for the mistake pick up? They said yes it was sitting under the lights..omg really they made the mistake an didnt deliver it an they couldnt even send hot an fresh pizza..an to top it off I ordered the jack-o-lantern pizza an it looked awful iam trying to post the picture I took before I handed back to the driver..so disappointing with the hole service..wont order fr them again..keep your credit

Pricey if you dont get a deal. Better ingredients. Im not a pizza crust fan but PaPa Johns has an amazing one. My favourite crust for sure, and you get 1 free dip with each pizza.

The pizza was good, I really like that they have daily deals. It didnt really bother me that the president of the company did really horrible stuff because Im pretty sure this is a franchisee, so its not owned by the base guy. Pretty good pizza for the price.

Not impressed with Papa Johns. Tried deliver and take out. Both times we didnt enjoy our food. Bread knots were soaked and sitting in a oil, didnt enjoy the pizza sauce. Fairly pricy for what you get. Ill stick with local pizza places.

Mmmm, Papa Johns. Their pizza is much better than the cardboard from Pizza Pizza and inconsistency of Pizza Nova (sometimes burnt). They seem to use fresher ingredients at Pppa Johns and every pizza comes with a free dipping sauce.

If you live in an apartment dont even bother with delivery. Just watched the driver sit in the parking lot then drive away because they couldnt find (read couldnt be bothered to look for) my unit. I ordered online so they had my phone number and everything, didnt even bother to call me.

Worst customer service ever! Melissa was extremely rude and seemed ennoyed to have to do her job. I called and ordered the Johns special. After hanging up the phone i immediately realized i forgot to say pan so i called right back. Melissa then stated i guess Ill remake it then. Not sure how far she couldve possibly gotten into making the pizza but I apologized for any inconvenience. Pizza arrived and was not a pan pizza and was burnt. So i called, she told me it was the pan pizza. Ive ordered pan pizzas before and this was not a pan pizza, it was too large. (I had recently ordered a pan pizza and still had the box...this pizza wouldnt fit it the pan pizza box)When i mentioned that she told me it was what i ordered and was def a pan pizza then hung up the phone on me. I caked back to ask to speak with the manager, she said she was the manager. I asked who owned that location, her response was if i have a problem contact papa johns online and hung up on me a second time. Will not be giving this location another dollar.

Good pizza but deceptive selection. Says to choose your crust but then they say thin crust or pan pizza is only for certain sizes. Slices are only available between 11 and 2pm. Also anchovies not in stock despite it not being a popular topping. How do you run out in a relatively new store?

They did not call when they ran out of what we ordered so they just substituted something else instead. Was promised a free meal as compensation and never received it. They forget to include the dipping sauce that we order. This has happened twice to us at this location. Sucks because Papa Johns is delicious! The Cobourg location is just really poorly managed.

Always get our pizza here and is quick either on pick up or delivery. Have not had a problem since it has open and there promos are good most of the time.

I placed an order in the store for 1 XL pepperoni with extra cheese.. there was no other customers in the store and it took the girl on cash almost 10 minutes to ring my order through. I understand people are new and in training (not sure if this girl was) but it if takes someone that long to place an order for one pizza, they shouldn t be left alone on cash. Huge inconvenience!

I stopped ordering from here because they always messed my order up. Every time. Ordered the same pizza every time so they should ve known but still got it wrong!

Asked for extra tomato sauce and mushrooms on one of the pizzas, barely had either of those things. On the second pizza there was an absurd amount of onions to the point it almost ruined it. Really expensive for subpar pizza, seems way too greasy too. I obviously would eat food from here if a friend bought it for a party but I would never go out of my way to specifically buy from here again.

Ordered in person at the counter. Was told it would be ready in about 15min. Wandered around the tiny plaza and came back inside at 15min. They were busier than when I ordered, but told me my pizza was ready. Brings it over from the warming area, and its not my order. Girl says well make you another one asap. I said no thanks, give me whatever that thing was you first handed me, Ill pick off whatever I dont like. So I got someone elses order, and no doubt someone else went home with mine, so thats at least 2 of us who werent impressed, me on my first visit. Lord knows who else got the wrong pizza. Maybe I should have stayed in the store to watch like a hawk. On the plus side, I did get a pizza with more stuff than I had ordered, and I didnt run into any anchovies, so 2 stars instead of just one.

7/10 would pizza again
