Service was pleasant, and food was delicious. My favorite thing was the crispy homefries.

Order by phone for a lunch burger/fries pick up...was a cold cheese burger almost raw with cold breakfast homefries...couldnt eat it for fear of illness...never again

The Good: Breakfast was a moderate price, and the portion size was more than expected. The Bad: Washroom was dirty and unkempt, sunny-side up eggs came with uncooked whites, and the service required asking for a coffee refill. Parking: In a Walmart parking lot.

Everything was outstanding as the food served at that moment was mouthwatering, delicious and perfectly cooked. In the case of service, it was really excellent.

Fantastic eggs, benidict! The home fries blew my mind!!! They were crunchy fried on the outside and pillow soft on the inside. Service was fast, food was hot and even served on vintage corell dishes!! LOVE IT ALL! Competitive pricing and far outshine local competition with other big box stores.

Ordered the steak and eggs benedict Got it delivered Opened my take out container It was steak and eggs! except there was no sauce & no English muffin, (if its made that way never tried it from here before) no big deal i would have ate it anyways how it was. I called them anyways cause i wanted what i ordered, the woman on the phone was really nice, she right away offered to remake it! She was confirming with the cook to see if he made it properly before they remake it and hes saying yes steak and eggs over and over and the woman had to say to him probably a handful of times STEAK & EGGS BENEDICT - BENEDICT!! long story short, just because he didnt know what steak & eggs benedict was he just assumed it was steak and eggs and didnt ask someone before hand. so order with caution, order a BLT and might get a soup, ya know?

We have visited this restaurant three times now on our way through Cobourg. The service has been amazing, the staff made us very welcome each visit! Your coffee cup is never empty! The food is just like eating breakfast at home and the homefries are AMAZING! The atmosphere is simple, clean and there is plenty of space. You dont feel like you are sitting with strangers at the table beside you! We will continue to stop at Daybreak on our way through Cobourg!!! Parking: There is plenty of parking!

I went for eggs today. I walked in guy in kitchen was on phone then grabbed food instantly without washing hands. I said Im out of here if your on your phone and grabbing food. He then grabbed his phone again while I walked out. Very disguised...........

Having a wonderful, well cooked breakfast at Daybreak in Cobourg. Service was prompt and I would have given 5 stars if gf toast was an option. Pricing was fair and I will be back another time with some gf bread in my pocket.

Customer service is really good and staff is very sweet and nice.

My spouse and I went in for breakfast today and came out completely disgusted. When you walk in the place doesn t seem half bad, but as the stay went on things get worse and worse. My spouse ordered eggs Benedict, when we received it our server noticed the whole top of an egg shell left with his egg and sauce. Instead of brining it back to the cook and having him remake or remove said shell, the server hand plucked it from his plate with next to no apologies, or thought to safe food handling. Dirty plates were left on tables, when customers had sat down at said table they had to push them over and instead of the server removing them when she had a second. They continued to be left table was not wiped off or cleared the table for the customer. Just poor sanitation, and food handling all around. Really disappointed at today at this place use to be good.

Waitress was very nice , but food was disgusting, couldn t even eat it. Eggs Benedict sauce was the worst thing I ve ever tasted, not to mention everything arrived cold. Don t waste your money here because for meals your family couldn t eat they only give you a 1$ off your bill. First and last time I will ever go there. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Food was OK but we waited for over an hour from when we ordered. Not a single fill on our coffees the whole time. Portions were small and not well cooked, fries came out partially cooked. Kitchen cooks everything from scratch, easily overloaded, not following standard breakfast practices. Waitresses take smoke breaks whenever they like leaving tables alone for up to 40 mins

This is 1st and last visit to this place. We came in and it took 20 minutes to even have our order taken and then took another 25 minutes to be brought our drinks. It is one thing to be busy, but to basically ignore your customers to the point that other tables were served refills on their beverages before our drinks were brought to us. We are still waiting for our food after 45 minutes. This has been a disgusting experience. To be very honest we will never return to this location.

If you want to sit down and eat sausages that taste like fish oil. eggs, bacon and ham that is burnt. How about some cold toast with more unmelted butter than Bruce Jenners face? This is the spot may be for you. I was lucky enough to walk in starving and walked out starving wanting to throw up on top of it. Thank god I got a whole $2.00 dollars off my meal

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting food, my boyfriend and I both didn t eat more than a few bites. Our eggs came floating in grease, my Pemeal tasted like it was a week old and the potatoes tasted rotten. On top of disgusting food the service was horrible!!! Do not waste your money here, absolutely appalled with our experience.

Every Saturday my husband and I hope in the car, drive to a city or town we havent visited and find a spot for breakfast. We had the opportunity to eat at Daybreak in Cobourg, today. It was, hands down, the best breakfast we have ever had. The portion size was generous, the omelet had the perfect proportion of veggie, meat and cheese. You could tell they used fresh eggs and not liquid eggs. Our server Velma was personable, polite, attentive and just the right amount of bubbly. I highly recommend this spot!!!!

Use to really enjoy this place and was a regular. Today was and will be the last time I will eat there. First of all there are rules for a reason so this woman who works there is very poor at her job. She also was not checking peoples mandatory vaccination papers. I had to ask her about and she finally got around to checking one couples info. Said she saw ours but she never did and as much as I appreciate that we are regulars rules are out there. The young man that also woks there never once offered to help her or come out to see if everything was OK. The food was horrible once again but this time my husband paid the price. This place does not clean the way they should does not follow protocol. They cant keep staff. That should say something. I am so upset and disappointed.

My parents had breakfast there yesterday it was terrible! Plates were served one at a time, no syrup was given for waffles my mom had to go to the counter and get herself. No coffee refills and best part it wasn t even busy!

Asked for white toast, bacon, over easy eggs. Recieved brown toast, over hard eggs and bacon bits. Hollandaise is some form or miracle whip microwaved? Missing the old owners for sure. Will not be back, nore recommend.

I stopped in on Monday on my drive to my cottage and had the most friendliest waitress named latisha. She was so good, fast and professional. The food was excellent! The cooks did a great job with the special I got! COVID protocols were in place and I felt safe being there.I will be back!

Only gave one star because I couldnt give no stars, most horrible dining experience of my life with the new owners. Was seated for 40 min and finally received one of the two orders..it was ice cold and terrible. Waited another 15 mins before asking for our second plate which was not ready so we left. Do not eat here!

Cook not wearing a mask!!!! Good heavens. Talking away back there (speaking moistly) plates and utensils right under her face on the counter. If she has a cold, flu, or covid.... so would everyone else who ate that day. Server wears the same gloves from cleaning tables to handling money and then touches sugar and salt dispensers. No care taken in wiping tables and seats ... just half heartedly wiping with a wet cloth. Very disappointing considering the circumstances right now. All it takes is for one careless person to give it to 50 and our quiet, almost covid free community becomes a source of an outbreak. Cmon people! Addition after reply from owner ... I doesnt matter how hot it is. Masks are mandatory. At very least, a shield. One person is all it takes to spread to many and the cook is touching and breathing on everything before it comes out to the table. I watched very closely the server and her routine between tables. (and I resent that you are making my comment seem wrong) There was very little sanitization being done! I watched her clean between tables I should have taken a picture of the sugar on our table. It was not even clean. I have no doubt you had the health department in. What happens when they are not around is what matters. I know what I saw.

One of the poorest shows of service I have experienced in recent years. I gave up on this place not long after it opened after a similar experience and over priced not very well prepared food. Avoid Day Break restaurant in Cobourg it s poorly run and not worth the effort or money. Totally disgusting effort at running a breakfast restaurant. 100% fail.

The place is dirty and very poorly run Id never come back here if they paid me my glass was dirty and there was dried egg in my clean fork! They had one good waitress and I havent seen her here in months

Thank you to Dia for working hard this morning despite being the only server in the restaurant. I was shocked at how impatient other customers were. Our food came out great and was worth the wait!

Full disclosure, we did not eat here, we attempted to but the cook was coughing so hard all over the food and not wearing a mask so we left. Wether or not you believe in this pandemic, thats just disgusting.

Its a nice place for fresh breakfast. Staff is amazing and mannered. Would like to visit again.

Wow, where to begin. The place stank of burnt toast when we walked in. Its a breakfast place though, bound to happen. Except 2 minutes later when the burning toast smell turned to cigarette smoke. The stink of cigarettes never really cleared and when I took my little one to the bathroom we found the smoking section of the restaurant! The waitress was lost, she had no idea who ordered what and frankly wasnt listening to our responses when she did ask who had what. The potatoes were under cooked. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but thats not enough to bring me back!

First bad experience there. Food wasnt up to par. Peameal bacon overdone and dry...home fries dried out...toast not anywhere near toasted Will take a break from daybreak.

Quaint little restaurant with great staff and wonderful food. I had the early little breakfast for under $5. You get 2 eggs, homefries, and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage. Coffee is extra. I have been there twice and both times the coffee was a little bitter. Other than the coffee I would highly recommend it.

We found Daybreak in Coburg to be a wonderful, cozy place with friendly staff and delicious food! Their eggs Benedict was good and the spicy omlet with sausages was excellent!! If you are in the area do check out the place.

I went to Daybreak for lunch today around 1:30 and ordered the clubhouse sandwich. The waitress told me that the chef had a stressful morning, manning the grill by himself and was too stressed out to make a clubhouse sandwich because it was too much work lol. I was pressed for time and hungry, so I ordered an omelette instead. The food I did get was good and the waitress was great, but this is the first time Ive ever been denied something off a menu because it was too hard to prepare and the chef was stressed out. Unbelievable!

Went there for breakfast last week it was very disappointing food was skimpy we got egg Benedict and the egg were so small and very little homefries witch we paid extra for ...we werent even done out food and the waitress bought our bill it felt like she was pushing us out

Standard breakfast-only eatery. The selections were plentiful and flavourful. My only issue is the coffee refills were not ample as the server only came once for the single top-up. Felt rushed at the end as the server kept coming back wanting payment for the meal. Pity.

Excellent. A wee bit on the pricey side, but I find the food to be worth it. The sidewalk-curb dips down nicely to allow passage of a wheelchair or walker to the double doors. Plenty of room to maneuver amongst the tables inside. Clean, bright washrooms.

First and last time my girlfriends over easy eggs were cooked through all the way(hard yolk) and the hollindaise sauce was not great, coffee was pretty good and fresh though
