Fixed price lunch menu no longer available but still shown on website. Salad as side for chicken wrap had rancid cucumber. Wrap was tasteless without extra mayo. Service was great! But we were the only customers there.
Avoid this place if you’re looking for a welcoming, family-friendly dining experience; the tense atmosphere and poor management make it anything but enjoyable. Treatment of both customers and staff was shocking. Our server was polite but visibly stressed, and we overheard the manager berating their team, making the entire experience uncomfortable. Don’t even get me started on the food - undoubtably frozen. This place fails to deliver on its promise of a cozy, welcoming dining experience. Look elsewhere if you want a spot where both customers and staff are treated with respect!
Amazing patio and menu options. It was my first visit to downtown Cobourg. They restored my faith in ordering a reuben sandwich. It was 9/10. Chef should try dark pumpernickel instead of marble rye imo...but regardless It was delicious. Our server was really funny and provided excellent service. I'll be back soon!
Was here with my parents for my Dads birthday! Ashley made great cocktails i think between the three of us we must've tried most of them on the menu and she was so fun and friendly! Atmosphere was great with the live music and regulars around which is always a good sign! Nachos were fantastic.
Lively, with live music (Sunday night) on the patio and friendly service. I was disappointed with the crispy honey glazed Brussels sprouts that were a little too burnt for my taste, but the portobello mushroom burger with a generous helping of fries was pretty good.
We have been coming for years. Nothing has changed. Just as wonderful. Beautiful patio, great staff Took my friends from Washington DC and they loved it. Reasonable price. Ask for Dennis's table. You won't be sorry. He's a great host!
A very pleasant surprise. We come to Cobourg a few times a year and try to go out at least a couple of times on our 10 day vacation here every summer. This is our first time here under new ownership (with the new menu) and...Holy crap! We were expecting a "good" but middle of the road dining experience from a location that averages $15-$20 per item. I had a Reuben sandwich ($16) that was surprisingly good. By good I mean "really" good. My wife had the Chicken and Goat Cheese wrap ($15) that she said, quote: "Is the best she's had". For someone to eat one bite of a sandwich and make a statement like this says something about the restaurant and the kitchen staff.
My wife and I come every week for “date night”. We normally have a beer or two and dinner. I have eaten most of the items on the menu, and have yet to have a bad meal. All of the servers (Kelley, Nab, Meaghan, Maddie, Dennis) are great, always cheerful and quick with service. The manager Brett is always around and takes the time to talk to customers! They have live music on Fridays and Sundays which we try to catch if possible. I recommend the Export if you are in the area and looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We are liver and onion lovers and they were excellent at the Export Grill. Thank you for a great meal.

Export Grill - 1 Star Terrible Management! This place is a joke. They owe me 79 hours of salary and NO ONE is responding. Brett, the guy who s supposed to be in charge, has completely ghosted me. Zero professionalism, zero accountability. How do you expect people to work and not pay them?! DO NOT WORK HERE unless you want to be scammed for your time and effort. Avoid this place like the plague if you value your hard work and time! If review is still here that means 79hr pay still pending .
Seemed understaffed.I waited 20 minutes with my nephew and didnt even get a beer in that time.Let alone alone a menu. Well , got a menu after twenty minutes and left.
We love the Export! The food is awesome and the staff are so accommodating, kind and efficient. Dennis is such an enthusiastic and entertaining server! Can t recommend The Export highly enough. Music on Fridays and Sundays is also great. Home away from home

All the great vibes of Oasis are well maintained by new ownership. Perfect patio and bar to soak in after a nice day at the beach. Same seasoned grills of the past preserves a perfect classic burger with fries. Dennis the menace provides extraordinary and timely service.

Was there for a company event where we took over the patio. Service was great, they took really good care of us. Rachel behind the bar was awesome at mixing up cocktails. The food was tasty. We were out on the patio with Bruce playing some great tunes.

The first meal my husband has ever sent back. Philly cheesesteak was inedible. Tough and filled with fat. He couldn t bite into it OR cut it. The waitress was apologetic. He ordered replacement food and I was well finished eating my meal by the time his came. They should have comped the drinks or something (?) Would not recommend. The patio was cute. Maybe just an all right place to grab a drink. Maybe the chef called in sick today. Not sure.
Ashley was Amazing! She was attentive, thoughtful and went out of her way to ensure we had a marvelous experience. Thank you! We love the reopening of this restaurant and the service we can expect when we visit. We will be back!
Went for a Friday night dinner: could hear live music on the patio, but were covered and dry/warm. The classic burger and the export burger were great! Service was prompt and polite and the tables were clean and well spaced. Would recommend calling to reserve patio spots for a live music night
This place is awesome..we had the steak an it was so so good..great patio an great service..the hoast was so kind, came around an made sure all his customers where ok..even offered blankets to us on the patio..live music was a bonus too..definitely will be comming back
Under new ownership. Food, service and staff are 5 stars!! New owner has really turned this eatery around!! Excellent!! A must visit when in Cobourg. Will return.
Looked like a nice place and had good music, but I sat at my table for 20 min with no service before I hit the road.
Our server tonight was Denis. We loved him. Our food was taking a bit longer than expected seemed genuinely apologetic and did a great job keeping us smiling while we waited. Great personality. We will be back to see him.
Very disappointed, gloomy atmosphere, serving staff dressed sloppily, food was lacking in seasoning, very lacking in salt. I doubt we will ever return.
We brought a big group including some VIPs that were visiting Cobourg for our Eye2Eye Film Festival this past weekend. Food was great. Service was lovely. I myself ordered the salmon and it was perfect. The wine offering has improved from the last time around so we were happy and will definitely return.
We thought we would try the restaurant since the new owners took over. We thought the food was fine but not great. The wine selection was very limited which hopefully will change. The service felt very rushed which was annoying since the restaurant was not full and we were there for a leisurely evening. Also, I think the waitress was sick because she looked very unhappy to be working and sniffled the whole time she was serving us. We would try it again but hoping the experience is better when they iron some of the kinks out.
From Toronto visiting Cobourg for business very impressed with how fast and efficient the service was very little wait time Rhett was an absolute legend definitely will go again!

Bad smells and lack of hygiene in the restaurant. The meals were lukewarm and the fish and ships undercooked. We chose this restaurant because the reviews were 4.8 out of 5... We are very disappointed with our experience.
Although the food was great, the experience was extremely disappointing. We really appreciate the manager for his generosity and handling the situation, but our server was extremely rude. We waited an hour and a half for our meal, and the food wasn t ready until 9 when they closed. The server made multiple passive aggressive comments about us not ordering sooner and essentially blaming us for the poor service. Even after the manager offered to pay our tab, we still wanted to compensate for the service and the server continued with the passive comments stating I was curious which one of you would take advantage of his generosity (referring to the manager). I have never experienced this type of treatment at a restaurant and left feeling like it was our fault when we were just trying to enjoy a dinner at this establishment.
Brett, Nab and all the staff are amazing courteous and fun! The food is fabulous and the atmosphere makes me wanna dance! Live music on Sundays by Bruce Longman is my fav .. would recommend this place and I give 5 stars all around!

This restaurant is under new management and trying to rebuild itself from the smelly disaster that was the Oasis. I stopped in twice over the last few days, once for supper and once for lunch. For supper I had the Thai seafood noodle bowl. The flavour was great, the seafood was properly cooked but there was so much sauce it was essentially a bowl of soup completely bereft of noodles. Noodles are pennies guys, put in more than one forkful. For lunch I had the turkey club sandwich with a soup. The soup was great, flavours were bright. The turkey club was made with roasted turkey in nice shreds with fresh toppings and an okay cranberry mayonnaise. it had everything it needed to be a great lunch if the kitchen hadn t reheated the turkey in rancid oil. How in the heck can a cook not smell rancid oil. Kitchen: stop tripping over your own feet and get the small stuff right. The service is busting their butts to present an image of something that is better and improved. And I d really like to see this quaint little pub do well.
The staff went above and beyond for our group! Food was perfect! Tasty, well cooked, not over or under done. Good portions. Great place. So happy the place had been resurrected. Will definitely be back!!
I just love the new changes in this amazing place.
Brett and his team at the Export Grill welcomed a rambunctious, hungry youth hockey team in town for a tournament. Service was efficient and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Skip the chains and support local even with a large group/team. The centrally located Export Grill were great ambassadors for the Cobourg area and energetically accommodated our large group. Should we be in town again, the Export Grill will be our choice.
