The employee serving me was fantastic! Very accommodating for a large order, and everything was made perfect and in great time.
Usually a great place to grab a sub (definitely beating other sandwich shops in the area) but quite the disappointing visit today. My sub was new york steamer, whole wheat what i recieved was a steamer with very little meat, next to no cheese, on white, and uncut wouldn’t have had an issue as mistakes happen, but the disrespectful attitude of the gentleman working is what topped it off, dirty looks, rude while taking our order and basically threw our food over the counter.
I recently visited Firehouse Subs, and I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. The buns were not toasted properly, and the meat wasn't warmed up or cooked correctly. It felt like the sandwich was thrown together without much care. I expected better, especially given the reputation of Firehouse Subs, but unfortunately, this visit didn't meet my expectations.
I’ve been here many times and the food and service has always been great. No issues. Tonight was a different story. I went in about 30 minutes before closing. I placed my order and I went to pay with cash, here’s where it started. The worker told me they did not accept cash after 9:30, the till was closed (no cash on hand) because they were robbed recently since they started closing at 10pm. I said alright and paid with debit. Waited for my food outside and when I came back inside here’s my first issue. I see him blatantly counting the cash from the till after previously telling me they did not have any on hand (which I would’ve preferred to pay cash). I take my food say thank you and head out. Me and my significant other go to eat our food, and notice a few things. Both sandwiches weren’t cut in half, and there’s no pickle on the side of either (they are great pickles and we are always excited for that) All in all I feel as though this wasn’t a huge deal just not the standard of quality I’m used to from here, and I felt lied to when I wasn’t able to pay cash and see the cash being counted after that.
Higher end then your average sub-shop, with a very easy to use online ordering system for lunch. Pick-ups have always been prompt and hassle free. When dining or ordering in, it has always been clean and well organized.
We are usually not ones to leave a bad review, especially for firehouse subs. We’ve gone to a couple locations now and never had a bad experience but this one particular was the worst we’ve ever had, ever. To start, the tables were disgusting and don’t even look like they’ve been cleaned. When ordering our sandwiches we were rushed, looked at with disgust and like we were garbage on the floor. We couldn’t believe how rude the staff was, never have we experienced such rude and terrible service at a firehouse subs before. Lastly, the icing on the cake was that our sandwiches were BARELY filled with toppings. I had the steak and cheese sub, with barely any meat, there were more onions than anything and mayo, which was disgusting. My husbands brisket sub was no better. No effort or care put into the service and preparation at all. There seriously needs to be an overhaul with this location… big time. Severely disappointed.
We wondered why the place was empty. Crazy prices. $60 for 2 sub combos??!! The employees had such strong accents we couldn't even understand them. Will not return. Not for that price.
First time at firehouse subs and we loved it. Way tastier than other sub chains and the subs were huge. The gentleman working here was also very helpful in helping us choose extra toppings.

They are an absolute rip off. If you request a modification they will just do whatever they please. New management will do nothing but disappoint
Super disappointed in this place especially after all the great things I had heard. We ordered a small brisket and lg brisket combo with drink and a cookie. The total was a whopping $48!!! INSANE considering the meat didnt even fill the whole bun on the large brisket and the small wasnt much better. For the price we will not be back! On a positive the brisket was tasty!
Friendly customer service I ordered a Turkey/ ham sub- I think it s called hook and ladder Bun was soggy and sub was cut in half with a knife that had tomato sauce all over it- not pleasant on a turkey sub Food : 2/5
My husband and I tried these amazing subs a few weeks back and honestly no other sub compares. Our service was to notch so friendly and helpful . There is no way we can ever eat any other sub again . Absolutely amazing and recommend others to try

I was there on Saturday with my sister and my little nephew. It was my first time at a Firehouse Sub restaurant and I was so impressed with the quality of food and service. Both the owner and his staff were engaging and personable. They went out of their way to check in on us and were so sweet with my nephew. Thank you for a great first experience guys!

Attended Saturday March 25. One female working by herself. 3 people already waiting ( that should have been a clue). Ordered 4 subs to go. About 20 mins into waiting another employee FINALLY shows up. Took 27 mins to get 4 sandwiches. Maybe hit up the burrito place next door if you in a hurry. Service was painfully slow. Staffing is clearly an issue at this location.
Yesterday I stop to get r two usual subs last time here my sub was not what ordered I contacted them they next one was free the manager Badal Patel apologized and made r subs himself he was pleasant went out of his way to make sure everything was done to their standard which to me is the best subs everything so fresh tku for quickly resolving it.
We have been to Firehouse Subs many times before in Oshawa, but this was our first visit to the Cobourg location, and we will not be back. The dining area was very much in need of a good clean; and the bathrooms were disgusting (garbage cans overflowing; and very dirty sinks and toilets). Twenty minute wait for three sandwiches and we were the only customers there. One of the three orders was also incorrect when it arrived. The staff were very friendly, but when they asked us if we had any feedback about our visit and we let them know that the bathrooms were very much in need of attention, the employee who we spoke with then sat down at a table, and the two others in the back area continued to sit on their phones.

Stopped in for dinner while passing through Coburg on a trip a few weeks ago. Staff were reasonably friendly, and service was fairly quick, considering they were a little busy when we arrived. Food was good. Overall it was pretty much the same as most Firehouse Subs locations, which is a good thing. Definitely worth considering a stop in.
Travelling through Cobourg and came here because no one was here, no line, compared to other restaurants. We waited 15 minutes... Pretty baffled why it took so long. Theres 4 employees and there was one other person here when we showed up. Food to be fair was quite good but extremely pricey for subs. Was it better than subway? Yes. Was it 1.5x better than subway to justify the price? Tough call. Worth a try but dont expect it quickly. It was also $28 for 2 of their small (medium) size which is pricy.
Prices comparable to other sub chains ...quality is way better. Keep going back for the meat ball sub.

They don t use as much meat as the Peterborough location does. Firehouse subs is more expensive then subway but you can t compare apples an oranges. Their subs are great but this location needs be more like Peterborough location and up the meat.

I recently visited Firehousesubs restaurant and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. I ordered the Firehouse Meatball and it was packed with perfect amount of flavors. The portion was generous. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also great. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my meal was exactly how I wanted it. Overall, I would highly recommend Firehousesubs to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. Kid-friendliness: They had kids seat. Also a diaper changing station in 1 of the restrooms. Store is clean and safe.

there quantity is great, quality great!!,..biggest downfall here is..umm..a wee bit to EXPENSIVE ( for the average Joe) to go there very often..i suggest having coupons or daily specials..if you wish to succeed in the future!.. just a suggestion!..others wise, like good job on the rest!
This store is amazing! The staff here take the time to talk to the customers, remember the orders of repeats, patient, always try to talk to the young ones and make them smile, very friendly and overall fantastic. The store is well kept, food is fresh, and is made exactly how you want it. Highly recommend firehouse to anyone looking for a meal big or small that tastes great!

Very good subs, and I go there at least once a month since we moved to Cobourg. On my most recent visit I double checked to make sure the pickle was included and was offered an extra pickle. I said sure! and was given 3 extra pickle slices. Small acts of excellent service like that go a long way. Well done, Firehouse Cobourg!
Great sandwiches ordered a pizza sub. And a Lrg roast beef Sandwich both great tasting awsome.BUT when you pay 17+dollars for a roast beef sandwich you expect to have enough meat from start to finish of your last bite. Thats my beef! lol.

Absolutely delicious subs. Ive been here a few times and not a single mistake was made. Sure the subs are more expensive then Subway but you pay for quality, not sure why people are complaining about the price. Amazing spot. Will reccomend. Hook and Ladder is my go to!

Tried firehouse Subs in Cobourg for the first time today. My sub was very flavourful and my son also enjoyed the kids meal. Prices are slightly higher than what you ll find at Mr Sub or Subway, but the quality of the food is also higher. Staff was friendly and efficient. Restaurant was clean. Round up your purchase for a good cause (Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation) too while you are there. Highly recommended.
I recommend the Italian sub. It was so good and dolly that I could finish it and saved some for the next day. And it was still good the next day. Will be coming back for sure

I am new to firehouse sub, i heard great things about firehouse sub in general (not about this store) so i thought to try it out. I went there and seemed a bit lost as i was new to the place. The owner or manager was very rude to take my vegetarian sub order. He kept nodding as if it was a shame to not know. Not at all friendly. Bad customer service. Wont come back!
Don t get me wrong, the subs are great. The service is not! I literally walked in while still on hold to take an order for pick up. Not even an apology! Frustrating

Food is great however, you will wait forever for your food. We were in there today and waited 25 minutes for two basic sandwiches because the guy and the girls working were too busy chitchatting with buddy from the burrito place next door! We stayed patient but it was hard!! Sandwiches were great, but not sure they were worth wasting our whole lunch time for!!! Could have gone to a sit down for around that much of a wait time!

Its not ok to charge over $50 for three sandwiches. I dont care if theyre lined with gold leaf. Didnt stop to fulfill the order, just said no thanks and left. Could have had table service at Swiss Chalet for that money. Based on the fact that the only three customers (my party) left and the place was otherwise empty at prime eating time around 18:00, I expect Im not the only one to balk at these prices. Firehouse need to figure out a way to be more cost effective or itll be a long slow bleed out. Im guessing the franchise fees are enormous.

This restaurant used to be great. But in our last order we waited over 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. It was not even busy. 3 people working. One on her phone in the back the other 2 seemed confused about the toppings. We used to come here every weekend. Never coming here again. Food

I am basing my review on service only. I normally dont eat subs but wanted to give this place a try. Not really sure how long it takes to fill orders but a 25 min wait for a single medium meatball sub seems like a long wait.
We got a hook and ladder, Italian, And steak and cheese. Amazing Food, Amazing Service, Amazing Store. And theres great dessert brownies. They have a coke freestyle machine. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This brand new location was very clean and the staff were all friendly..I ordered 3 Large BLTS and a bottle of the Bqq sauce my total was just over $70 for that amount of money you would hope your order would be correct My daughters sub was completely missing her Bacon and I had asked for xtra mayo ( it was so dry like nothing was put on it) and I also added onion ( I had like 2 strands of onion) so that was super annoying...with that being said all the ingredients were fresh and everything tasted pretty good my suggestion is double check your order before you get all the home.
When I went there were 2 other customers waiting, I ordered a Hook & Ladder and a New York Steamer. When I arrived home and looked at the sandwiches, there was a engineer instead of the steamer. I called the store and told them I was coming back (30 km 1 way) when I arrived I put the wrong sandwich on the counter, the man who I thought was the manager or owner looked at it told me in fact it is a New York Steamer even though it was turkey and mushrooms ! The other girl said no its an Engineer. He told them to make another right away and offered me a brownie. I told him to refund my money and he said oh you dont want the sandwich. I told him yes I want the sandwich and the refund I have driven 60+km round trip. Refund and new sandwich was given. Sadly to sandwich was very disappointing corned beef and pastrami tasted like a shredded hot dog.

Decent subs but the price point is a little extreme. Had the Brisket and the after taste reminded me of hot dogs
Leaps and bounds better than Subway. The portions are insanely larger yet priced comparatively. The flavors were great, the bread was awesome, and fresh baked cookies to boot. 10/10 will nom again.
