Great dinner, but the dessert was made for a Barbie… My piece of baklava cheesecake measures 2“ x 1“. When I called the store to talk about it, the person on the phone told me that’s how they receive it from head office. Really really disappointed since I paid $5.19 for this piece of cheesecake that would’ve been sold for maybe $.50 at a school bakery sale. What a joke and a waste of my hard-earned money.
We ordered dinner for a gathering with 8 of our friends. Osmows handled everything very professionally. All was ready on time, super fresh, and hot. The staff were kind and courteous and prompt. Everyone raved about the food and I didn’t have to lift a finger. The night was a huge success and we would definitely use them again. They even helped me out to the car with all of the food in spite of a snow squall.

I ordered a crispy chicken wrap last night, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst I’ve had from Osmow’s. The wrap was overloaded with lettuce, so much so that it felt like I was eating a salad wrap with a tiny hint of chicken. The balance was completely off, and the few pieces of chicken that were in there were dry, little to no sauce f ok r the wrap. For the price I paid, I expected a much better meal.
First time here, placed order online for pickup. My “Philly steak wrap” was so wet the wrap was a soggy mess. When I picked it up the wrap fell apart and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. It was like a ton of water in it. Don’t think there was any cheese on it, but hard to tell. Just a big mess. Also when we got home with our order we had an additional wrap in our bag, something we didn’t order, so someone is going to open their order and be very annoyed.
You guys should probably check your chicken for bones before you serve it 😭 I used to love this place, not so much now - this is not only disgusting but dangerous.
The level of customer service that was there when they first opened isn't there anymore, the staff rush through orders far too quickly without paying attention. Used to love going here, but as of lately I need to watch them make my order to ensure it's done correctly. If I'm paying for something I'd like to recieve what I pay for. My most recent order had a few mistakes. From it not being rung in correctly despite me pointing it out and being told it'll be made how I asked, which it wasn't, I still had to correct them. To them not reading the screen correctly and adding far too much hot sauce when there wasn't supposed to be any at all making it almost unbearable to eat. Also everything is always so dry, even when I order extra sauce and pay for extra sauce, they never put much sauce.
Tried this place for the 3rd time and won’t be going again. All 3 times we have ordered for pick up and something was wrong or missing. This time ordered the red pepper hummus and pita and it wasn’t in the bag and then they argued we didn’t order it (was clearly on our order) and then the staff members argued about who prepared it. Ordered 2 large size wraps and got home to find they were regular size. On top of all this the food just isn’t very good. Clearly seems a case of people who shouldn’t be running a business. No focus on training of staff or standards. Guarantee you won’t see this place still in business a year or 2 from now!
My experience at this restaurant wasnt bad the service was excellent the workers now how to make there guests feel welcome as for the food if u like spicy food just as much as I do I would recommend mild or spicy level if ur not one that likes spicy they do offer non spicy food

How can it be good one time and then so terrible another time? I ordered on Sunday and have to edit my review to reflect the reality I faced with the pure incompetence of the staff and lack of basic customer service and communication skills. My food was not cooked through properly and they missed items in the order, plus the hygienic standards of this crew was abysmal. It was like this previously, then it was much much better and now its even worse than it was to begin with. I have been to many Osmows across the province and this is the most unpredictable and arguably the very worst. The owner will say Cobourg people have a problem with Osmows as if its some sort of ideological thing when in fact weve had another shawarma place for over 10 years, no principal issues and a wide variety of other dynamic places to eat. So to me this excuse from the owner is not valid. Simply put the owner just has a habit of hiring the worst people which ruin his restaurant for him. Ive never met the owner, just read posts hes written. It would make sense to rather than blame the customer maybe look at your staff which are 99% of the entire problem facing this location? It also doesnt help that the staff leave reviews for themselves to try and disguise all of this.
Vegetarian options: We ordered the Beyond steak and falafel wraps. Though they warn their hot sauce is really hot, even the not-the-spiciest sauce itself was burning my tongue. And so can handle the ghost peppers with no problem The garlic and tahini sauce could not even be tasted. If they can balance the quantity of these sauces, the beyond steak option will be very enjoyable. The others who ordered medium were also if the same opinion.

Tried for the second time and I m gonna be going there forever when I am craving chicken and fries very good and all the employees are so nice I am very grateful for having this restaurant in Canada very good and I recommend for all people
Surprisingly I didnt get sick after eating osmows from this location which means they had good temp control for food and cleanliness. I enjoyed my rice with chicken and beef and side of fresh salad

They will go the extra mile!!! I was there with my family last weekend (and have been other times before) but last weekend my daughter threw her retainer in the garbage accidentally and we realized that when we were already in Toronto those things are costly. I decided to call them and Harshivaj who works there went to pick it up and recovered it for us. We could arrange with her to send FedEx to her place and we were able to recover the retainer in perfect condition. Thank you Harshivaj and the team at Osmow s. You guys are awesome!! And the food is just delicious! We will back very soon and for many times!
I ordered beef on top of Salad, I wished they had asked me how much white sauce they would put over the meat and salad. The dish was soaked in the white sauce.

I guess I ll never find an authentic shawarma place in Ontario! I ordered chicken shawarma with fries, the chicken was so smelly and off flavoured. it didn t even taste like shawarma it tasted as if someone cooked it in a pan, chopped it and forgot to add any spices. The only spice that was ridiculously obvious was hot chili! I m not sure if I m gonna try this place again!
This is the first shawarma place I have ever been to in my life that does not include the little side salad (tabbouleh) or pickled turnips etc.... that usually comes on the side with a shawarma platter, all.of that cost extra not very authentic & very disappointing. Half the size all other places serve and even disappointing on taste. Staff were friendly ill give it that & nice decor but a BIG NO for the food .... I feel like I wasted my money for dinner here, not recommended.

I ve had osmows a handful of times and this is the 3 d time I ve been able to directly link it to food poisoning I had to take off work and am still dealing with the symptoms. I ve read other reviews with the same thing happening to others. The food is delicious but I m not eating here again
Just awful food! Not even close to authentic persian food! Spent $66.00 my husband and daughter took a couple of bites and threw it out! I wont be back to say the least! It wasnt even basmati rice,hardly no sauce and the food was dry. Complete waste of money!
Ive been here a few times over the past couple of months and have had a pleasant experience each time. The staff are consistently friendly despite being VERY busy, the food is great, and the portions are quite generous. Love being able to order online as well. Keep up the good work, Osmows!
Unfortunately my first ever visit to this company was not particularly successful. The ordering process went well but completing my order took 17 mins and three tries. New bread but continually recycling the contents of the previously failed attempt to construct my shawarma.
We order 5 on the rocks yesterday and all of them were uncooked after waiting for an hour. We were regular customers and now have to rethink. Today we informed about this incident and there was no response from their part (they stood like deaf). Don t go for takeout from this spot It was just wast of time and money.
Super slow, mediocre quality - not consistent with the rest of the Osmows chain - they werent staffed properly or well prepared.
[edit: having now been to other Osmow s locations, this location is an outlier worse. The hot sauce levels at other places make more sense. The rice is cooked better and less dried out. They provide more of the garlic sauce. And their service is faster. So it s not the chain s fault, it s this locations fault.] Great option to have in town. Food is usually very good, I ve been coming back again and again, it s a hit with the family. Their spice levels are completely ridiculous, though. I usually order the spiciest options I can get at most restaurants, but their little spice option was already pushing it for me. It feels like there must be a mistake, like they re supposed to be using different sauce s for the lower ends but they re instead just giving you a small amount of some incredibly hot sauce. It s gratuitous. Be warned.

First let me say that I dont ever write reviews. But Cobourg Osmows was very disappointing compared to my other experiences at other Osmows. I have been to the Cobourg location 5 times. Should have learned my lesson after the first experience. The staff can barely speak English. Mixed up my order every time. I paid for extra stuff on the wrap. Didnt get it. Small portions on the wraps compared to other locations. Im not usually a Karen but this location is terrible.

Now they are doing the fake reviews like the osmos in pickering. This place is the worst osmos In canada Update 10/28/2023 So now your calling Cobourg residents and my parents liars. Shame on you . I can tell you have a terrible customer service attitude by your responses to poor ratings. Google provides this review service so customers can rate establishments good or poor. The lady working wrapped it 3 times so dont call your customers liars. Perhaps you should open a manure fertilizer business instead of a restaurant!!! My parents tried this place . Got wraps. The pita ripped so they wrapped another one around it , that one ripped so they wrapped it with another one . So it ended up 3 pita wraps , and so so dry and hard to eat . I told them not to waste money buying from there .
Slow, so slow. They make each order one at a time and will not drop the frozen fries for the order until the next order is done. Then they watch the fries cook, then make the next order. I ve seen children birthed fast than these people can make a dinner. And it s been like this since they opened. Painful.
To be honest guys, very good restaurant in town and I had falafel wrap on very first day and it was so delicious and I am here on second day as well. Also, staff is very nice and respectful.

We re so excited to have an Osmow s in town! They were fairly busy (expected since they just opened). However, they were well staffed, and very friendly/polite. Fast service, excellent food! Our go to order is their chicken on the rocks. Highly recommend!
I had a fantastic experience at Osmows Shawarma! The staff, particularly Akash, were wonderful and incredibly considerate. They went above and beyond to ensure that my order was perfect. I decided to try the pineapple topping in my wrap, and it turned out to be a delightful addition. The combination of flavors was excellent, and it added a unique twist to the traditional shawarma. I highly recommend visiting Osmows Shawarma and giving the pineapple topping a try. You wont be disappointed

Been to many Osmows in the GTA, excited that it came to Cobourg. Went for the first time to Cobourg location today. Walked out and didnt order. It took them 15 minutes to take two peoples orders. The two cook staff were waiting. There was one more person ahead of me still so I left and went to Mary Browns right beside. The 2 people ahead ordered wraps. They werent selecting paint colours for a new house. First and only time Ill try this location. Many fast food places around and right next door.
Worst Shawarma sandwich ever! No meat only salad!
Great idea for quick take out shawarma or family meal. We normally go with lamb or chicken meals, but the beef is also good and tasty. They also have beyond meat choice or falafel if you want vegetarian options, which are very delicious.. JUST BE WARNED, dont play with their hot sauce if you are fragile to spice lol.. it is tasty, but Ive seen some friends take bites they couldnt wash down.. give this place a try and you will vome back for more. My only complaint is I wish I ordered more tonight, as my kids and wife enjoyed themselves plenty and dipped into my share

I am a big fan of Osmows and the food always tastes great, the only downside to this location is that they really skimp out on the rice. Twice I ve gotten the thinnest layer of rice I ve ever seen at an Osmows. Ask for extra rice if you get any meat on the rocks.

First time here. Won t go back to this location. Slow service. They didn t call our order until after 3 others. Wraps were barely wrapped and the contents spilling out. Lots of chicken but few other ingredients on the Osmow Special. Pineapple was a joke. Pricey for the basics.
This was my third visit to this store. Awesome place for lunch. High quality food and good portions as well. I don t know how this place has under 4 reviews but truly deserves above 4.5.
Asked for a half and half with fries and rice, fries were cold. Employees didnt look like they like working there. Very little value for your money unfortunately .

Very sad to write this review, i usually dont write reviews even when ive had a bad experience, but i just need to let people know, even if this could be a one off encounter. The food tasted awesome, tho the mild spice was still too spicy for me but oh well, HOWEVER i got food poisoning from it and will now be missing work because of it. Theres no other place or food i couldve gotten it from, classic food poisoning symptoms, and i feel like death. Very sad because it actually tasted amazing.

We stopped by for National Shawarma Day so we could get the $5 wraps and rocks. This is a newer location, and was completely spotless during our visit. We bought 7 chicken shawarma wraps and 1 chicken on the rocks, and everyone was happy with their food. Will consider visiting again

It was a random and first visit. I was missing dubai and food. Living in port hope where there are not many options for good food. The shawarma was really awesome. I ordered the chicken shawarma combo with falafel. The taste, freshness,spiciness, and ambience are good. The employees navjot, shamshad, and prabhneet did a great job. Would definitely visit with them.
Well, its fantastic to finally have real falafels here in Cobourg, and Osmows does a great job. Their mild is pretty spicy, so watch out! Nice fatoush salad as well. The only letdown was that their Beyond Meat option for shawarma is kind of awful: a not-so-pleasant-tasting ground meat. Otherwise, happy to have them in town, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Place an order online, get the text at 7:30 pm saying my order is ready for pick up. Get there at 8pm, they are just starting to make my order. That s is not okay, I was late for my commitments due to having to wait for them to make an order in which I was notified was done 30 minutes prior. Then at 8:20 they tell me they gave it to someone else, and are now going to make me another one. This is the worst customer experience I have ever came across and would not recommend from my perspective.
This place is often very busy at lunch time still the service is fast. The staff is hardworking but the best thing is the freshness of the food.

Had a Beef Shawarma Wrap which had completely raw beef, it looked fine from outside but when I ate it was completely raw. Don t know about other dishes but better avoid beef.
Ive had Shawarmas from all over and this was the worst Ive had. Service was slow. Staff inexperienced. Forgot to put sauces on my Shawarma. Chicken was tough. Most likely the day before. They need to reassess spicy levels. I asked for little which means i shouldnt feel heat 5 minutes after eating. My wife got medium which was hellfire. She actually likes spicy but couldnt eat it. I dont mind spicy from time to time but if youre looking for extra spicy dont ask for it. Wont be back.

The staff are nice but the new truffle chicken shawarma I had was terrible. Meat was cold and the sauce together it was too salty to eat. Fries were alright... Dont know if it was the chicken that was over seasoned or the truffle sauce but it was terrible overall.
