Such a fun, chill atmosphere!!! They have a chef who specializes in gluten free so very accommodatingto allergies! They also have gluten free craft beer! Dietary restrictions: The chef specializes in gluten free and it was some of the tastiest gluten free buns ever!

First Ill start with the good. - the beer was good - servers were okay - the place looks like it could be fun on a Friday night -food was ok Now the bad - the Caesar was subpar - the servers and kitchen were not trained for dinner rush - if we were as big as a of a group as the one next to us, we would have been served much better. They placed more importance on their group. We were 6 adults and 2 kids. That seems like a big enough group to keep happy -if you cant provide all you can eat, dont make it a special for the night. We went for all you can eat fish and chips and I might as well have gone anywhere and paid $20 for two pieces of fish and a handful of chips. Basically what it seemed like is that if we wanted all you can eat fish and chips, you would have to order as much as you think you can eat right away. They were not ready by any means to be serving all you can eat fish and chips much less one portion for everyone In the end my wife and I had to leave before the extra portion of all you can eat fish and chips arrived. Needless to say I did not eat all I could eat. Honestly wouldnt recommend

Came here with the family. Kids loved the games they had to play with, food was very good, great service. Some of us have celiac so no glute, they have a dedicated gluten free fryer and most of their food is gluten free to begin with. We will come back again for sure. Excellent beer too! Spent a week in Cochrane and visited about 3 times. Really good beers, top quality food and a chilled out atmosphere. Really friendly staff too who gave me some good local suggestions. Highly recommended to anyone in the area.

Please bring the beer cheese and pretzel bites back!!! They were the best thing on the menu and only reason we kept coming back.

The blonde waitress working tonight really needs to get her act together! She forgot orders and was completely incompetent at the end with the bills. We were a big table but she printed our tabs wrong 4+ times despite us asking for separate bills from the start. We were understanding and more than patient etc but then she refused to let us leave after we paid as she had items left over that she couldnt account for. We all made sure we had the correct bills as we had to correct them for her multiple times. She was quite rude with how she handled it and we didnt appreciate it. As a waitress myself for over 10 years it wasnt busy enough to justify the sloppiness. She had other staff to help her and there was one other table inside and a couple tables outside. We had two coupons from footstock that seems to cause chaos with the system and her. After 4 attempts at getting the discount on the drink I ordered, she still managed to put the discount on a cheaper drink. Disappointing!

The atmosphere and food were both great. However we were extremely disappointed with the service. Our initial waitress was great, she took our order, told us a bit about the place (as it was our first time being there), recommended a wing flavour ect. Unfortunately she was about to finish her shift and told us we would have a new waitress taking care of us going forward. The new waitress brought our food, checked on us once and that was it. She never came back again, no new drinks were ordered, no plates cleared. Our kids had the Chicken Finger meals from the kids menu and the kids didn t get the juice boxes or the dessert which was to be included. We sat for a while with no drinks, a dirty table no plates cleared. We decided to leave and had to go inside to find someone to give us the bill. The place didn t seem too busy and looked to have a few servers working so not sure why the service was so terrible.

This brewery right in the Heart of town is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, youre greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. The atmosphere with a perfect blend of cozy and fun. One of the highlights I loved is there is the live music it really adds to the overall experience and creates a lively, enjoyable environment. Plus, there are plenty of fun games to keep you entertained, making it a great spot for both groups and families!!

Had a lovely date (without the kids) at the brewery. Nice atmosphere in a renovated old house. Service was friendly and attentive. Beer was great, and so was the food. Loved the fried jalapeño appetizer. For main course had the fish tacos and a burger, both of which were excellent.

My partner and I hosted our wedding supper at Rockyview. We worked with Robert (the taproom Manager) in order to achieve our ideas. Robert was amazing to work with - not only was he responsive, he bent over backwards and did above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Robert worked with us to make sure our guests dietary restrictions were taken into account. The food was amazing, the wine was flowing, and the beers were delicious. I couldnt recommend this place more. Thank you Robert and staff for making our wedding so wonderful. We will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Cauliflower bites, pasta, beer cheese and pretzel bites

Robert and his team went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. When we contacted him about hosting our wedding dinner, we werent expecting such amazing enthusiasm and warmth in accommodating our (somewhat unique) plans, including crafting custom cocktails for our dogs! Everything went so well, thank you to everyone involved. Really appreciated! The beer was also A+. Loved the IPA and the wit.

Great little brewery in downtown Cochrane. Lots of games for customers to play and they host a bunch of wonderful events. Live music, game nights, trivia etc! Their craft brews are great and the snacks are yum! It s a unique little joint! I Recommend the beer cheese dip and pretzel bites appie!

This is a great space with great beer options. The food is pretty good. The service is great!! And the atmosphere is great for yourself or a group of 8 or more. They have games downstairs and table top games upstairs to keep you busy.

Great place to meet with friends

Great beer, nice atmosphere, but rather disappointed with the menu. Food was well presented and tasted good, but was not sufficient to satisfy my small appetite wife, or a large adult what so ever for the price. May grab a beer in the future, but not a regular dinner place, so do not see a long prosperous run as a restaurant, but I have been wrong many times in the past. Best of luck! Update January 2023 Menu has changed to be a much more enjoyable experience. Much more of a pub fair style of eating that was very tasty and enough to satisfy our empty stomachs. Will definitely be back to try the wings Wednesday

The clam chouder was very delicious!!! we walked in friday afternoon around 330. had to wait a while to get our drink order in despite we were about five customers all together. my husband ordered delicious chowder and i had to ask for my appy after the fact. chicken wings were rubbery and insuficiant napkins on table. nor salt n pepper. my drink was 3/4 gone and i was never asked if i needed another. Sat for a while with no drink and no table clean up. finally we decided to go to ducks. wont be back. :( oh and didnt have wine brands on menue and pinot only $48 for bottle?! sad

My reviews I tell it how it is and if people do not like it and they can read another review atmosphere was really good pricing was fair due to the inflation of the Trudeau government and the food was delicious and I like how they keep the products and think about the local producers and Farmers to keep stuff relatively local and keep supporting local farmers what an amazing local business

An associate and I delivered a 2 door prep table and while there noticed how genuinely pleasant the staff are within an atmosphere you can really get comfortable in , Im definitely going to stay longer next time ; ) Vegetarian options: ..Definitely an aray of options , you could probably even ask over the phone to see if they have your favorites ; ) Parking: ..This area can sometimes become quite busy , but parking is next to and or near the building.. Kid-friendliness: ..Its a relaxed chalet restaurant , with bar setting potential , Im sure the night crowd is strictly adult .. ; ) Wheelchair accessibility: Of course there is an easy incline ramp with option of double door acsess for extraordinary personal vehicles ; )

We decided to stop in and celebrate my sons Birthday. So happy we did, food, atmosphere, staff and beer were amazing. Love that the menu was not daunting and yet they cater to food allergies. They make my new favorite beer, Powderface is awesome. I have tried quite a bit on the menu and am always satisfied. Been a few times for trivia which is a blast and some evenings in summer for patio beers. Great local joint, I plan to be a regular here for a long time to come!

This place is nice. Great patio out back and dog friendly. Food is very average and not worth the price they charge currently. I know food prices are high for everyone, but not worth the cost. Beer is decent. Not the best craft beer, but above average for sure. Been here three times and the service is below average. No one comes to ask for a refill or if anything is needed. Even on a busy night the place isnt that big to stop staff from coming by. Good place to stop by for a beer, that is all.

Great place to visit beer and food are delicious.

We did the puzzle night it was a good time, the new menu is delicious and I enjoy their shandy (or as Canadians call it lemon radler )

Service was great. The pulled pork tacos are wonderful and though I did find the arugula stems a little chewy and the hummus was a little bland. Im used to homemade so that would just be my issue I imagine. If youre sensitive to noise levels, dont go on a busy day. It was pretty loud just with the conversations.

Good beer. Menu is fairly limited but food is tasty and service was great.

The chicken apple brie sandwich and powder face IPA were both delicious and paired nicely. Will be back for more. Patio is nice and comfortable, but fills up quick. Get a spot while you can or ask to share a table.

Went for lunch and appetizers in the back patio area. Food was really good , service was excellent and patio was good too. Had a good variety of easy drinking beer, but really what other kind is there. Menu has improved for sure give it a shot and support local. Parking: Easy with back access

Ohhhh yeah! This is spot right here. Sat on the patio, got in right away, had a test flight of beers for me and sours and raddlers for the Mrs.. everything was awesome. Some adorable dogs hanging around the patio space. Lots of room and games down stairs. Clean bathrooms Our server Chelsea was nice and attentive and tried to be they often enough to help but give us space to enjoy ourselves. Had the pretzels and dip which were a complete win, and the Stuckey toffee pudding good golly try some!!! On top of all those great things THE BEER IS DELICIOUS. They have a lot of variety so bring some friends and everyone will have something they like.

Friendly staff and good beers - able to purchase beer glasses to take home. It was fairly loud with a group of guys shouting, so we didn t stay for more than a drink but would definitely return.

First time visiting yesterday afternoon. Love the backstory from Garage brewing in Bearspaw to Taproom in Cochrane. Prices are excellent - beer selection is thoughtful and the beer itself is wonderful! Great choices on glass sizes too. My visit straddled happy hour ... nice midafternoon price drop. I didnt eat any food, but will try some on my next visit. Service - top notch .. and I mean it. Mind you it wasnt overly busy when I visited (Ive seen it busy!) -- nonetheless, excellent friendly welcoming service. Atmosphere - awesome patio. Love the parking lot (dont have to walk all the way around the building to enter) entrance. Inside is spacious, I dont feel cramped and it just flows really, really well. Downstairs washrooms -- really well thought out and the games are a great addition. Dont change a thing - keep it up, count on my return with family & friends.

Good beer. Cool patio. Felt like more of a restaurant than a brewery though. If youre looking for a restaurant its probably awesome. Not sure if the brewery itself is offsite but if it is onsite its well hidden. I like to see the equipment at a brewery. Good stop on the way to Canmore but if you go a bit further up 1a then Sheepdog brewing is more up my alley

Food and drinks were prompt, live music, large patio, and spacious game room in the basement. Marissa was a gem. <3

My wife and I came here Monday, Aug 7th, and we ordered the fish and chips to share. Unfortunately, the fish was horribly soggy and undercooked. We each only had one bite we kindly and subtly let our server know, and she took away the uneaten fish when the bill arrived we were disappointed to see that she didnt even offer a portion off our bill

This was our first time back since Covid. Overall the food and service thanks to the cooks & Chelsey were excellent. The fish & chips were good - not too much batter. We also enjoyed the flatbreads. And, the beers have improved significantly - enjoyed the flight of Pilsner, Amber, Brown and IPA. Keep up the good work; we will have to come back for a burger.

Food was pretty decent. Beers were good. Only thing I haven t been a fan of is that if I want to purchase it has to be in a 4 pack of the same kind (coming from Ontario I ve never seen this before. So just something I wasn t expecting) makes bringing back different varieties of beer difficult, so unfortunately I opted to not purchase any.

Amazing food. Great beer. Little pricey unless you get specials. Staff are super friendly. Love the games you provide for the patrons. Will be coming back.

Kananaskis Rally Banquet held here, great food! Some of the best Ive had in a while! The beef, mashed potatoes, gravy all very well done! Very kind and well prepared staff! The atmosphere was great, live music, great beer! Definitely recommended! Parking: Limited parking, the town is surprisingly busy and spots are limited.

Wow had the great experience of attending the classical music night! Incredible, so much fun! The opera singers and pianist went over and above with entertaining. Hope there will be another (11 out of 10)!And great service as well!

My daughter and I went in for a quick snack, food was good, beer was good and so was the service. We always enjoy going.

I would tend to agree with earlier comments. The beer was amazing, but the Tapas menu needs work. The bacon wrapped dates worked, but the roast beef cones with beet compot left much to be desired. Further, the portions were not what one would expect at the price point (we ended up ordering the cheese dip after the sampler as we were still ravenous). Hopefully the menu adapts as wed really like to continue supporting this much needed addition to the local scene.

Some family back in Nova Scotia sent me a Christmas package (Dec 2021) via Canada Post. It was too big for the secure mailbox so it was left on the porch (not good Canada Post).It was stolen. My sister contacted Lyle at Rocky View Brewing and told them of the situation. She really wanted me to have something for Christmas! They put together some items . Growler shirt hat etc and Lyle personally dropped it off at my house! Thank you to Lyle and Rocky View Brewing, and my sister Lori of course, for arranging this surprise. PS I manage the local Sobeys Liquor store and so recognized Lyle when he came to the door. He has good beer!! I tell you from personal and professional experience. Rod E Cochrane AB

Love this place! Ive been here 3 times and have had excellent service, wonderful flavorful food with great portions and presentation. Thank you so much for having no screens! I get to visit with my family now when we go out for dinner!

Went during opening week. The beer was fantastic, the restaurant is very welcoming, although a bit tight with the seating. The food was not really what we expected for the price. We ordered a pizza/flatbread. Tasted nice but was a bit doughy and under cooked (most likely due to being so busy), I also had the spaghetti in the cone. Tasted great but was super awkward to eat from the cone at the table, would have gotten a plate to pour it on but didnt see our waitress much. Id recommend serving the pasta on a plate with a small side to help justify the price. Will definitely go again after they have been open for a while and look forward to it.

A little piece of heaven 25 minutes away from Calgary. Dont miss the opportunity to check out Cochranes hottest new hotspot. Comfortable setting, great beer and top notch staff. Get a flight, bring a couple friends and bring your growler to get some beer to take home. This place is better than Half-hitch.

Great atmosphere, tasty beers, amazing good and great service! We got the flight of beers to try out 4, as this was our first visit. We tried the amber, blonde, pilsner, kolsch, and wit. All the beers were good, its hard to pick a favourite. Our server was amazing, I cant recall her name but every server was busy taking care of their tables, seating it helping behind the bar (wrapping cutlery). For food we shared (between two) the pretzel wrapped hot dog and half order of nachos. We werent to hungry and normally would have ordered one more plate. But the portion sizes were perfect! Cant wait to go back, thanks for coming to town!

Heads up, honest review. I love their salads! The wrapped dates could be crispier or have the option to be baked longer so they could be crispier. The portion is much too small for $13. I make them at home for a fraction of that price considering the quantity I can make. Their Pizza is overpriced, considering that a lot of places in town already have amazing pizza. Pasta is meh as I make better pasta at home as well. I don t drink beer because I m gluten free, but absolutely love their honey mead

Great beer, great atmosphere and great food!

The experience my friends and I had last night here left an absolutely horrible impression. We walked in only to be stared at by a woman wearing a ball cap and athletic wear. She immediately told us to take a seat with no greeting, no welcome, no how are you? She basically just acted like we were a huge bother for coming in. She took our orders and brought us our drinks and food (the food was very good I will say. The only redeeming part of our experience) we then sat for a while with our empty drinks on the table (another waitress took only one of them leaving 2 other glasses on the table.) no body bothered to ask if we would like a refill or a water. At this point we were thirsty and wanted to actually get served so we asked for the bill. When she brought it she asked us accusingly where the third cup was. Needless to say after 1. Getting horrible and unprofessional service and 2. Being accused of stealing a glass by our waitress, we will not be coming back. We ended up going to The Venue where we got the service we are entitled to as paying customers.

Best taproom in Cochrane. Lost of fun weekly events, and an amazing dog friendly patio. Make sure to stop by on the weekend, BBQ menu is finger licking good.

Beer variety is alright. Disappointing food and service. We were in before the lunch rush, and it still took 20min to get our beer and another hour to get a half order of nachos, then an additional 15min to get the second dish. The nachos were mediocre at best and the pretzel/cheese dip had sat out for some time before being served. Probably some better options in Cochrane for a lunch stop.

Nice place, but the service wasnt great. It wasnt busy, so unfortunately I dont feel theres much of an excuse. We were there 2 hours mostly just waiting for our order, both plates came 15 minutes apart. The beer selection was okay, would love to see a sour, also waited around 20 minutes for 2 flights. Their dog friendly patio was nice.

The food is very average. Chicken tights were poorly done, and the service was not the best. For taco Tuesday, youll get tortillas bought in the supermarket. The place looks good for just having a drink.

Stopped by at Rocky View Brewing, in beautiful Cochrane, during a work trip to Calgary a couple of weeks ago. Looooved the food by Nias Gourmet there! Had the delicious brisket, the unique Pork Bao Buns, the mouthwatering Tuna Tartare, and (with big surprise)... Scotadeo Mussels, an authentic recipe from my Trieste (Italy), my own hometown! If youre looking for a unique menu, while visiting Cochrane, this is where you want to be. They also have a roomy patio in the back and great live music.

Great atmosphere

I ordered the chicken thighs with spicy cranberry sauce and my partner ordered the ribs. The chicken was ok and the ribs were excellent. Unfortunately, neither meal came with vegetables; that was a big disappointment. Vegetables should be standard with every entree. Also, we both ordered coffees and after the server delivered them he told us they were espressos and free refills weren t available; that should have been explained to us before we ordered. Overall, not in a big rush to go back.

Stopped in while roaming around the area. Food was great. Staff was awesome. Sitting outside was a great choice for a hot day.

Met friends here on Sunday and we tried several different dishes. Everyone had a favourite. I loved the Bao Buns. I didn t even know what they were before ordering but they were great. Very good quality food prepared by Nia s Gourmet and great value. I m not a beer drinker but my friends liked what they had and I enjoyed the prosecco. We also loved the back patio which was relaxing and family friendly.

Amazing atmosphere, food and drink

A lovely restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and a wonderful menu to choose from. My friends and I shared the spaghetti with mushrooms and sausage and the spaghetti with pistachio pesto: both were absolutely divine! I was born and raised in Italy, and have lived in Canada for 10 years, and I can tell this was by far the best pasta I have ever had in North America. The Bao Buns are also a brilliant invention that springs from the traditional Italian prosciutto and melone. Excellent beers too!

We stopped in Cochrane during our trip back from Banff. Having dinner at Rocky View Brewing Company has been an amazing experience: we tasted the Bao buns (sweet melon and thick prosciutto slices), the pasta with pistacchios pesto and the pasta with salsiccia and mushrooms. This has been the best Italian pasta I have ever tasted in the last 10 years in Canada! The kids also enjoyed their meals (pasta with bolognese ragù and meatballs) and they ate everything with great joy and satisfaction! The beer was also very good. I hope to go there again soon!

We were in this beautiful place by chance, we were lucky! The spaghetti is delicious (kind and very nice Italian cook!) and the beers delicious, highly recommended!

Weve been a few times for beers since theyve been in their new spot. Love the drinks and we will be back soon! We also had a meal on our most recent visit and it was lovely as well.

Great space and decent beers on tap. The NEIPA / hazy is a winner and they appear to try different brews which keeps things fresh. I have been several times and always had great staff experiences. The one major let down here has been the food, small portions and over priced. Paid $20 for the nachos and the portion was tiny and did not even include a protein at that price point. Ridiculous. However, I have just seen a new chef is onboard and a new menu is coming so really looking forward to giving that aspect another try!

Seated ourselves, per their sign and was completely ignored for 10 mins. Walked to bar and asked for menus and was told server would be by. Waited another 10 mins and walked out. Wasn t even busy. We will try again another time I guess!

Came here after a walk through bragg creek, pretty desperate for food and drinks. Ordered a veg pizza and a couple of beers (kosch and brown ale). Both were underwhelming in flavour and content. If you really really want a place to shelter, please head over there. I would avoid it if I could.

So wanted to love the new menu but the veggie pizza was flavourless and the fish and chips were nothing special. Would not recommend.

Let me start by saying I understand we went when the menu and chef were new. We went in for lunch and after being told to seat ourselves we found a dirty table that they cleaned for us. We waited about 10 minutes for menus and then about another 10-15 for the server to come back after. We started ordering and quickly discovered they were out of most of the items we were planning on having but werent told this when we were given menus it was only after the fact. We had the chicken foccacia sandwich which was good. The bacon jam Flatbread was also good. We also had the poutine which when we saw it on the menu seemed quite expensive and when it showed up and you had to hunt for any gravy it really felt like we were paying too much. Poor service, multiple missing menu items and value not there for the food would stop us from going back in the future

We came back for some of our favorite food and with big disappointment found out the menu is completely changed and all our favorites are gone. They used to have some of the most original and flavorful food in Cochrane and now offering a food menu that is flavorless (we still tried a few items) and identical to all other pubs in Cochrane.

Nov 2022 Very sad with the new menu. Food is now mediocre at best (and boring). Service got very slow as well. We finally had the chance to try out the Tap Room. We heard great things about their food and didnt get disappointed. We tried the Nepalese Dumplings, Bao Buns, Chicken stew and the Pork Ribs. Everything was extraordinary. Flavors are very intense and the dishes so originals for Cochrane. Great Job. We will be there very often.

Came for lunch on Sunday! Food was great, beer was cold and our server was very friendly.

Love the new menu at Rockyview! The staff has always been super friendly and attentive. Lots of board games to choose from to challenge your friends to a game whilst you sip your beer. Dogs are allowed on the patio and they have fire pits too! 10/10 recommend.

Food is underwhelming in quality and offering. It is hard to understand why they removed from the menu the great dishes they were famous for (smoked brisket, pastas, etc.) and that we loved so much. Sorry, but you lost a customer.

I m so so happy the kitchen has changed. I understand they have a new chef it was needed! The new food menu has more options with different flavors that compliments the beer perfectly. I had the fish & chips with the Blonde. Great staff & a great atmosphere. Can t wait to go back!

I have to agree with some of the latest comments. We tried a few things on the new menu and dont think we will be back. This place used to be our best option for great food in town, but now its no more worth it.

Went about a month ago for first time. Servers and beer were great but food was mediocre and expensive for what you got. Sounds like they had just changed chefs and some things on the menu weren t available. Not terrible but hoped for more.

Comfortable atmosphere, with a friendly and attentive staff. Great food & beer. One of Cochranes BEST patios!

6 stars. Beautiful brewery, friendly owner and staff. I came here the first day at the opening and I wasn t disapointed at all. The building is beautiful, ambiance is warming and cozy. I highly recommand this brewery, beautiful place, can t mention it enough !

Amazing little taproom in the heart of downtown Cochrane. Super friendly staff and an incredibly nice owner/brewmaster. The taproom just opened up recently and still has a fresh paint smell. Super unique decorations for a brewery with a cool main bar.

Great beer! The iPA was amazing! Gorgeous taproom such a great place to have in Cochrane! I would have rated 5 stars but unfortunately we found the food to be pricey for the taste. Cheese dip seemed grainy and very processed. Bruschetta was good but didn t have a lot of flavour and was a rather small portion. We love supporting small businesses especially based in the town we call home, hopefully the food will improve with time! Despite the mediocre food, the environment was amazing, the beer was priced amazingly, and the beer tasters are such a great option! Feels like a great new gathering place for everyone in town! Congrats to Rocky View Brewing on your newest endeavour!

Had a wonderful Amber Ale that was surprisingly rich, a lovely New Zealand White wine, and enjoyed the chefs choice selection of Tapas, and a Caprese salad last night for a birthday dinner. Creative, delicious flavours - wonderfully filling. Had the Panna Cotta dessert which was very nice. Loved the decor and atmosphere and the music choices were great. Lovely waitress and enjoyed talking to the hostess (who knew us!) and the brewer, Lyle. Will definitely return. Two small suggestions - a little more seasoning to the Caprese salad, and please add coffee or tea as a companion to dessert. Thank you!

We had the Bruschetta and two different kinds of pizzas which were both fabulous!!! People might think the food is a bit pricey but you are paying for quality and everything is made from scratch! Well worth it! We ordered the beer samplers that were picked based on our preferences of strength. Will definitely be making this one of our regular places! Service was quick, food was hot, beer was cold! What more could you ask for!
