My husband and I went for the first time last night. Amazing food, Amazing service. We tried to Tzatziki, Dolmades, and chicken Souvlaki. The best souvlaki I have ever had. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful. Between our food service we had the pleasure of meeting Yanni. He was very friendly, funny and provided us with a great experience. This is the best restaurant in Cochrane. The good is delicious and the owners are so friendly. They remember us every time we go. Even our 11 year old loves it.

Have been here twice now with my daughter. The food is amazing. Cooked perfectly, very rich and bursting with flavor. Yani (not sure Im spelling that right) was awesome. So passionate about telling us about his country and helping us plan our someday trip to Greece! It was not busy as we went for an early lunch, so he had lots of time to answer our questions. First time coming here and wont be the last! Exceptional Greek menu which is as good, or better, than the food we had on our most recent visit to Greece. We had many appys shared between us, and everything was brought out timely and cooked perfectly. We love wine and the wine list has some really interesting Greek wines. The atmosphere is just like the Greek Tavernas we loved and were so happy to know this restaurant is so close to us. The staff are friendly and attentive but not overly so, knowing when to come to the table, and when not to. Highly recommend this place!

This place is the most Magic and romantic in the Town. There we found the most exquisite food to enjoy our evening of celebration. The owners made us feel welcome and the staff is very warm.

I went here with my family and had a great experience! Food was really tasty and worth the price. The 40 min drive from Calgary is so worth it and would love to drive again and dine there. Owner was very accommodating and would recommend dish that will match your preference. I will go back and bring my friends and parents for sure! I love this resto so much. Love this place! This is our favorite place for a date night. The service is fast and friendly and the food is delicious! Best Greek food around. I have never left without leftovers, which are just as good the next day. The portions are great for the price and never dissapoint. Looking forward to our next meal there already.

What a gem of a restaurant! My grand-daughter and I were so delighted to have dined here tonight. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers recommended by our waiter. The evening meal continued to pleasantly amaze us with the presentation, delicacy and the attentiveness of the staff. We finished off our meal by sharing the tiramisu. Loved the cozy atmosphere of feeling like we were in someones home in Greece. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Highly recommend this place. We ordered 4 appetizers to share, two glasses of wine and a dessert to share. The prawns were amazing! We had them in two dishes (seafood sampler and in garlic sauce), they were not dry and very plump. All of the food was flavorful, hot and presented well. The service was welcoming, friendly and experienced. We will be back! Parking: They have parking on the street and at the back.

This is a cute little place inside an old house. The menu is pretty diverse, and the service is excellent. Some of the dishes we had were amazing, and some were good. Technically its wheelchair accessible however the front door is hard to get into and narrow. The first bump over the doorframe can be tough. Excellent place overall.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The service is so welcoming, youre like family. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. Great for date night. Great food as always.

All I can say is WOW, was not expecting this at all! We ordered the bread dip Greek platter appetizer and a Seafood Platter. The appetizer was amazing. The seafood platter was enough for 3 people. It had so many tastes and all of them unique. If you like seafood I would definitely recommend trying this. The sauce on the lobster is to die for. Next time we will eat in!! A secret gem in Cochrane you must try!

I love supporting small businesses. Its nice to have variety and authentic food like this available. I had the lamb shank but I have to admit. It was rather dry normally. Its good at this restaurant but this time it wasnt up 2. The level is normally is. For the price point I also found the plate lacking and the quality of food and the flavors that should have been there. It was heavy on potatoes and rice and light on sauces and flavor. I did not leave hungry but I was wanting for more flavor and meat that was tender and juicy. Two things I did love was The unusual items On the menu that you cant find In Any other Restaurant and the service is off the charts.

This is little piece of heaven. The service was amazing, the food was exceptional. Lots of wonderful spices and delicious. I will drive from Calgary to experience this again. Very happy to have found such a gem . Its in a small house, so definitely get reservations. Dont miss out

When asked by the server about the food, I replied that the chicken souvlaki, the chicken was very dry, the server contradicted me and so I told him that the chicken is terrible, he then told me that I m sarcastic. For pricing food it was terrible and not edible. I left the least amount of tip choice available but would have preferred 0. It is not a place I will visit again. If you can t accept criticism about the food, then don t ask. Do not recommend this restaurant.

Apparently customers service in this place is suck ..! They are nice and polite if you don t say anything( eat your high priced food, you like it your or not, and shut your mouth), If you are not happy about anything they are rude and unfriendly even by reading the comments, you d know what kind of customer service they have ! Before this place was one of my favorite places in town ! What happened? What happened to your previous chef? What happened to those polite and respectful hosts and servers?

A culinary GEM with ambiance, offering indoor and patio seating options. Flavorful food e.g., salmon, Greek ribs and chicken souvlaki, all of which were presented well. Dinner was paced beautifully. Yota, our server, was amazing. She has a great sense of humor, is very engaging and informative, recommended gluten-free options and took pictures of us. My friend and husband were equally impressed and we had so much fun, it was hard to leave! We highly recommend My Greek Plate and plan to return for another fabulous experience.

This has to be one of the best meals I ve had in the last year bar none. The people were super friendly and the quality and flavour in all the items I ordered last night were unreal!!! I can t stress enough the flavour explosion I experienced. I cook top quality at home and I would find this very hard if not impossible to replicate. Don t listen to the poor reviews here. Haters will hate but I for one will drive the 3 hours to enjoy it again. 10/10

Walked in with few expectations other than wanting to sit on a patio. Service was friendly and casual. Server offered suggestions that hit the spot. Opted for watermelon salad, keftedes, crab cakes and spanakopita. Everything very tasty but the crab cakes did not come out even after we finished eating the other appetizers. Server apologized profusely and admitted it was very busy due to Skip, etc. orders. Only two non alc beer options and out of the better choice of Heineken. Would definitely visit again.

Good food, but incredibly rude staff. Ive been here many times in the past as I used to work in Cochrane. We drove here all the way from the south of Calgary because there arent many good Greek restaurants. Upon entering the restaurant, the waitress was rude to us right off the bat when we asked to sit inside a completely empty restaurant. We agreed to sit on the patio. Then the same rude waitress came back to take our order. I asked for the souvlaki dinner, but if I could pay extra for the pita and get the skewer in a wrap. I was told that the chef would not make a wrap at all. So I asked to just pay extra for the pita and vegetables and I could wrap it up myself. I was then told that they would only sell me an already cutup pita because they didnt want me to eat a wrap at their restaurant during dinner time. We asked to pay the extra for the pita and veggies and take our food to go. Our waitress begrudgingly said yes, but again, was still being continually rude to us. We cancelled our order literally 1 minute later as we were quite taken back by the rude waitress and as we were walking out, the waitress decided to tell us loudly in front of all other guests on the patio how rude we were when we had been nothing but polite to her during the entire 5 minutes of our experience there. We will never go back there again. No food is worth being treated that way. From your response below, thank you for inadvertently proving my point.

Based on the reviews I was very excited to try, and for the higher price I was expecting something awesome. Unfortunately that was not the case. The souvlaki pork dinner was bland, the pork was super dry, the potatoes, rice and veggies was basic, even the Tzatziki was not creamy. the Moussaka was decent, but not a wow dish. Ive had better for cheaper. I was expecting at the least 2 skewers as some of the their gallery photos showed 3 skewers w/pita ... no pita here, and unfortunately no coming back here :/

My family and I ate here for lunch today and we were reminded of our visit to Greece and the authentic Greek food. We ordered calamari, mussels and chicken souvlaki and they were full of flavour and incredibly delicious. The food comes in big portions, great for sharing. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and manager, Ioannis made us feel right at home. Surely, this visit exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended! efcharistó

Looking for some great food?! Look no further! Came here with my Mom for a Sunday afternoon lunch, when walked in we were greeted by the owner Yianni with kindness and an abundance of hospitality. After a short conversation with Yianni it quickly became apparent of his passion for the food, hospitality and this amazing restaurant he has built. We were treated very kindly, the service was on point, and the atmosphere was perfect. Hands down the best Greek Restaurant I ve been to. The food is fresh, high quality and prepared perfectly by the Chef Nikos. Every single detail even down to the music was perfect. Needless to say, if I could give 10 stars I would. I ll absolutely be back and I ve been telling all my friends and family to come eat here. Thank you again Yianni!

It was a fabulous meal on the patio!

We have been coming to this restaurant since moving to town about 5 years ago. We have always really enjoyed it. I recently made a reservation here for our wedding anniversary and when we arrived 1) were offered the worst table in the house (an inch from the door - we declined it - nobody used that table all night) and 2) experienced the slowest most inattentive service ever from this restaurant. This made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I wouldn t trust this restaurant for important occasions anymore. Thanks to the owner for responding. This is exactly why we reserved ahead of time. If you couldn t accommodate us appropriately just say a table is not available!

Unique, one of a kind, small but great atmosphere, perfect for couples of all ages. Service was very good. Everything on the menu is freshly made from scratch and it all tasted amazing. We ordered the tenderloin souvlaki, just that will fill you. We also had a side ceasar and greek salad both very good and finished with a chocolate torte and baklava (one of the best Ive had in a long time). Presentation was very appealing also on all dishes. If you are ever in Cochrane, I highly recommend this place without hesitation. Be sure to call and make a reservation. We cant wait to be back!!!

This was our first time here. WOW!! The atmosphere was lovely and quaint. I love the traditional music in the background. It was set at the perfect volume where you can hear it, but it does not drown out your conversation. The service was impeccable! It was super clean...everywhere! This used to be our go to Greek restaurant and we live in the very SE of Calgary. We were there last night and were very underwhelmed by the meal. Total lack of taste and both meals were over cooked. Don t think we will be back anytime soon.

My Greek Plate is our go-to celebration spot. The amazing food and positive atmosphere are worth the five-hour roundtrip every time. My wife and I stopped at My Greek Plate on a recommendation. I find most Greek restaurants are really hit or miss, this one is definitely a hit. Food is of high quality, with good sized portions. Owner is a really friendly, outgoing person who really makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back, especially for the patio since it is so nice to be able to eat a meal out in the sunshine.

My Greek Plate is a longtime Cochrane staple. I have been coming here for nearly 10 years, and youll be hard-pressed to find something that isnt delicious. Even though I heard the owners have changed partway through those 10 years, the quality, service, and dishes have continued to impress. Because I have tried a fair portion of their menu over the years, I will provide a small rated list of individual menu options. Appetizers Dolmades: One of the first dishes I tried here. It is tender, and well seasoned. I would often save the sauce it came with to eat with my entree. 5/5 Calamari: These are pretty much as good as youd get at most places in AB, which is pretty good, but being landlocked limits how good it can truly be. 4/5 Spanakopita: I only had this once in a take out order, and it was pretty delicious, but it was a bit on the dry side. Perhaps it would have been just right had I eaten it immediately in person. 4/5 Crab Cakes: Delicious. Very well seasoned in every aspect of the dish, from the crab cakes to the salad and the tzatziki. Cant wait to have them again. 5/5 Avgolemono Soup: Honestly, this one was a little disappointing. It was decent, but it required I add additional lemon at home to get that aspect of the soup come through. I love lemon, so perhaps I expected more of it in this dish that I did not get. As well, the flavour was vaguely reminiscent of Campbells soup? There were much larger and fresher chunks of vegetables and chicken but flavour wise it was one of my first thoughts. 3/5 Mains Lunch side salad: A classic and crisp Greek salad. Solid part of the plate 5/5 Dinner vegetables: Like all the sides, these vegetables are superb. I especially like the roasted red peppers, which practically melt in your mouth. 5/5 Lunch/Dinner side rice: The rice here is very tasty, not at all dry, and pairs great with the others sides and whatever main youre having. 5/5 Lunch/Dinner potatoes: This is my perfect potato. I have come here just to get the potato only, with tzatziki. There is so much flavour that bursts from these potatoes, I often wish I could work here for a few months in the kitchen to learn how to make them. I will always return for these. 6/5 Chicken/Beef/Pork Souvlaki: All very good options for meat. You can tell theyve been marinated based on the flavour and are usually tender. I have had the off stick of meat in a takeout option which was quite overcooked, but this was only once for the beef and hasnt happened again. 5/5 Kotopoulo Gemisto: This dish was quite nice with the lemon sauce. I do think the chicken was a little dry, perhaps because of being split open for the spinach and feta, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. 4/5 Filet de Sole: Absolutely delicious piece of fish. Quite a unique dish in this area of Cochrane, there isnt usually multiple seafood options which I appreciate. Definitely recommend. 5/5 Dessert Chocolate Torte: Definitely a sharing dessert. By the time youre done apps&dinner, this portion is plenty for 2 or to take home with you for later. Quite rich and fudgy, which is really up my alley. Maybe not something to get everytime you come, but definitely worth trying. 5/5

They apparently don t allow kids after 5pm. Sorry but what kind of restaurant that s not a pub doesn t accommodate kids after 5pm? That s sad .

A true Cochrane gem. Delicious authentic Greek cuisine. Make a reservation, plan to spend a little more time, slow it down, enjoy your meal and have a few glasses of wine. Small unique space, large patio, Super friendly hospital staff and generous portions.

I live in Calgary, but whenever I want to have a high-quality and delicious food, in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, I go to My Greek Plate restaurant in Cochrane. I appreciate Yianni and his team for such an excellent treatment of their guests. This is a place my family and I always want to go back to for good food and fun!

Ive always wanted to try this place. And took a chance and walked in with no reservations. I was lucky as it seems like reservations were needed, small dining area. The food was amazing and so was the service. Will definitely go again. Vegetarian options: Im not vegetarian but I ordered a dish that was no meat and I want it again. Grilled halloumi cheese is so good.

This place is absolutely phenomenal and honestly one of the best meals Ive ever had! If you are celiac they have many delicious gluten free options, and the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about everything there. If I could put 100/5 stars I would!!

Likely the best meal Ive ever eaten. Local food from scratch. Truly Autentic people, and Greek dining experience. Had the Octopus appetizer; the octopus was tender and charred as it should be. Hummus with balsamic balanced the dish nicely. As a main I recieved the best lamb Ive ever eaten. Tender, delicious, with fat perfectly rendered, paired with Greek seasoned potatoes, carrots and rice which complimented the dish, but also stood out on there own with fresh pepper and lemon on top. I recieved the owners wine reccomendation Ornello Molon, he articulated the tasting notes accurately and it was a fantastic pairing. Already stuffed but loving our experience; my wife and I finished with the Torte Cake as a desert. This dish blew us away. The presentation, and perfectly balanced richness of the dark chocolate with ice cream, fruit and jam was simple, unique and amazing. I reccomend anyone wanting a delicious and unique dining experience to make an effort to come here. Thank you for making my anniversary fantastic!

Great service on Saturday night. We had appetizers and Horiatiki salad. Keftedes and Spanakopita were very good and portioned nicely. We also tried the Saganaki and the quality was excellent but the portion size was a little small for the price. I will recommend this little place.

Best Greek cuisine outside of Greece, no joke (and coming from another Greek). We take out often, but the Hospitality is second to none. You wont regret eating in. The staff was great with my kids as well. Took my Dad who was visiting from Ontario and he loved it.

Absolutely amazing food and the staff were super friendly! Apparently it s hard to get a table, we went right when they opened so we were able to get a table as long as we didn t take longer then 1.5h since the table was reserved for later. By the time we left the place was packed! Will totally go again.

What a gem! I highly recommend My Greek Plate. It is a cozy intimate venue where the owners have the time to talk The menu is sufficiently varied for all tastes. The place reminds me of European dining and old world flavors. Parking: Street parking and there is a lot behind. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice entry ramp and the interior is roomy.

The food was fantastic! The ambiance was perfect for a late afternoon lunch. We had a meat platter, which basically contains a bit of everything. The food was fantastic! Our server, Yiota, was so personable and nice. She helped us by providing options that will pair well with the platter to make it more enjoyable. It was fantastic! The owner, John, was also very welcoming. We enjoyed the tea and baklava. And did I say the food was fantastic!

Delicious authentic Greek food in Cochrane. Had amazing greek food after a long time. Highly recommend if you are looking for fine greek cuisine in Calgary and area.

Patio welcoming guests, nice private spots. Server and Mrs. JOY advised on having a super experience for cocktails and food. Tequilla embraced the Summer afternoon, and our steak special and souvlaki grilled to perfection, display with side dishes nice colorful... tasted excellent !! Well come back for sure, thank you for a great ending of our Wedding Anniversary trip.

Went here a few years ago and it was a bad experience. New owners have really stepped up their game and made it a great place to dine. Food was excellent and great quality. My wife and I will return.

The food is out of this world! Big portions and absolutely delicious. The hostess is so delightful, and the owners are wonderful! Everytime I travel near Cochrane, this is a must stop! If you love Greek food, you will not be disappointed!
