This is now one of my favourites. I ate here 3 times in one weekend trying different menu items. We don’t have these in Edmonton. Atmosphere was so nice and the food absolutely delicious. Also great portions. Definitely recommend!!

I am not able to give 5 stars to most places because they usually lack in something. This place is well deserved of 5 starts when it comes to quality for quantity = cost. The Korean BBQ is equally as amazing as the Korean fried chicken. This location is clean & has a great atmosphere for a sit in meal. The staff is friendly & the door was even opened for us by the manager. The food is very tasty & light on the digestive system. Great rice to meat ratio however it does just needs added another handful of veggies to be evenly portioned all around Definitely a family favorite💚.

Review for Hankki: Visited: Wednesday Oct 23rd 2024 @5:35pm Food: Y'all, I don't know why I waited so long to come here. When I tell you I ate this bop down to the last grain of rice... 🙏 Simply delicious. I ordered the #6 Combo Bop with the meats from 1 and 5. The Korean bbq pork was flavourful and the fried chicken was tender and juicy with the perfect level of batter that stayed crispy through the whole meal. I ordered a medium spicy. It was a flavourful spice that wasn't overwheimg as it was carried with a creamier mayo sauce base. Filling in the dumplings was unique and continued to stand out as savory little pops amongst the rest of the bowl as flavours mingled through the meal. There was an extensive condiments bar I regretfully could not get a good photograph of. Value: The bop was a medium portion size but more than appropriate for the price of $11. Amazing value for the variety and quality. Accessability: the restaurant is on the corner of a strip mall and the sidewalk banks for wheelchair access conveniently in front of their establishment. Tables are an appropriate height as well. Establishmemt does not offer automatic door but I'm certain their attentive staff would help should they notice you approach. Staff: Exceptionally friendly down to earth staff that delivered quick service. Greeted upon entry. They prioritized their in store customers to their delivery services and I appreciate that. They got me my food in just over 4 minutes after ordering in a mostly empty resturant. Very prompt service. The numbered buzzer system is nice to notify you of your order if your wearing headphones like I was. Location: Very clean restaurant and washroom. Tables and garbages being regularly maintained before my eyes. Attentive cleaning staff right after a customer has finished their meal. Lighting is low and relaxed. I believe they had subtitled K-Dramas playing on a tv for the patrons which is a nice touch. BONUS for location: attached to a strip mall with many popular shopping establishments like a Winners, pet store, dollar store, and little free library all within a 1 minute walk. Worth making a trip out for shopping and a meal. Vegetarian options: yes Parking lot: Free. Plentiful. Well maintained. Salted walks. Sharper speed bumps, but that's alright. Overall Score 5/5 Food 5/5 Value 5/5 Service & Location A true winner. I will be a new regular. Edit: Went back for lunch the following day for a date with my partner. Visited: Thursday October 24th @12:30pm We both ordered the same Bop bowl base as above again, I got mine mild and he got his very hot. We got our food in just over 6 minutes which was still exceptional as there were quite a few more patrons in the restaurant this time. Rice was still fresh and portions were consistent from before. I tried both heat levels. 🌶️ Mild is true to the name. The full flavour of the sauce they offer without it bringing the heat. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ The very hot is decently spicy but nowhere near unbearable. It's still a pleasant flavour that isn't overwhelmed by the heat making the bowl easy to finish. We also tried two new dishes. The honey butter fries were a mild savory treat with hints of sweetness. They were paired with a sauce that tasted similar to a chipotle. The pairing worked surprisingly well. The fries themselves were very crispy and not too greasy. My favourite type of fry. I look forward to trying the other two flavours. The Dak-Gang-Jeong is spectacular. Their juicy fried chicken glazed in a sweet sauce and a generous helping of sesame seeds. A very large portion. Perfect to add as a sharable to a meal for 2-4 for a bit of extra protein. If ordering for one, it keeps well as leftovers. Sauced breading has stayed decently crispy even as I've brought it home and tried it over three hours later from the fridge. Even cold, the chicken is tender. Looking forward to taking this for lunch tomorrow. Service & Location: Staff were attentive even with a much busier venue this time. Condiment station was clean but busier than before. *I will update

Of course, the food is delicious, the owner is so kind, and the store is so clean and spacious. I will try all the menus next time!!!! It's great that the mozzarella hot dog cheese stretches a lot, and there's no need to talk about DAK-GANG-JEONG. It's so delicious! I hope everyone tries this restaurant!👍👍👍😍

I love going to Hannki with my friends, the food is SO GOOD, their service is amazing, and the spot is so cute and cozy, they play k pop and play k dramas in the backyard. Vegetarian options: SO MANY VEGETARIAN OPTIONS they have a plant based chicken with mandu bop, veggie and mandu bop, or if youre not as hungry you can just get veggie mandu for around $5 and its sooo good :)

Just went in and left straight away. Lady was doing the bins, dropped out outside, came back to lay new bags in the bins, then goes to back to handle food lifting it out, all with the same gloves! My 13 yr old kid said lets go this is unacceptable and dirty!
I just moved here from Vancouver about a year ago, and this is by far my favourite restaurant in Cochrane. Its fast, delicious and they have the best fries! (Honey butter with spicy mayo dip) Hoon is great and so is all of the staff!
I am a fan of Hankki and i always get it from the location downtown at Bow Valley. I noticed that the bowls are filled well with lots of chicken at the downtown location whereas the Cochrane is usually filled with mostly rice and the bowls are not filled to the top. The lettuce is also mixed in at this location and the downtown one keeps it on top which is better. I hope that they improve on this and remain consistent across locations.

A great lunch spot in Cochrane. To-go, or dine in. Seating area is clean and modern. Prices affordable, food is delicious and for a lover of all things sauces, there are several options and you can load yourself up. Simple menu, not overwhelming - so happy to have found this spot, and hope it stays for good!

Take a back seat Edo because Hankki in Cochrane is the bomb!!! Amazing food, great staff and super chill atmosphere. Other fast Asian eats cannot compare to the taste and value of this place. ($11.50 for Large? Psshhhh that s a crazy deal) Had the combo bop for myself and kids shared a Korean BBQ and got the two thumbs up for the kiddos. (Food looked so good that I forgot to take a pic before chowing down). The hot dogs are also killer good; crunch on the outside while soft & hot in the middle. Highly recommend Mozzarella & Sausage. Can t go wrong here and I give it 10 out of 5 stars!

Phenomenal food, super friendly staff and great location. My wife is not a big fan of spicy food so she ordered the Korean fried chicken and it was amazing too! The rest of us ordered our dishes as hot but not extra hot and they were perfect. The fries are the best in Cochrane by far. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian veggie Mandu bop was also a popular option

I only have one complaint and that is the lack of StarCraft playing on the screens in store. I expect Zerg replays from any Korean restaurant that is in any form authentic. KPOP is NOT acceptable. I will change my review upon a return visit if I see broodwar or the like.

Went to Hankki for the first time last week with my husband. He was really excited for me to try it after he tried it for the first time in Banff. We had the fries and I was really surprised how great they tasted! I definitely cant wait to go back to try more. We also dined in and enjoyed the music videos playing. What a fun place to grab some street food! Ive always loved corn dogs so I ordered their top tier street dog, the Ugly Potato. Loved it. Get it with sugar sprinkled on it for a savory flavor. I used nearly every sauce available, but my favorite was the spicy Korean sauce and mayo with BBQ dusting. The setting is super cool, retro and modern with cozy lighting and lots of k-pop to watch on their TV. Definitely would come again to try their other dogs and bowls.

This is the only place we ve been getting food and ordering skip from lately. We ve tried a bunch of things now off the menu and it s all been amazing.
I had high expectations for this place based on the glowing reviews Ive heard. However, my experience yesterday fell short of the hype. Its possible that we just got unlucky, or perhaps the standards in this town are different. Its also possible that some reviews might be influenced by small incentives they provide when asking for a 5 star review. Overall, I was disappointed with my order.

Whenever Im hungry this place always enters my mind, the food is both delicious and filling! When I first tried it with my brother I made the mistake of not ordering a small bowl, it ended up being too much to finish (though I almost did). If you get an opportunity Id highly recommend checking it out the Korean BBQ and honey butter fries are both delicious, i only get both if Im really hungry lol

Recently opened in Cochrane, I was really looking forward to eating delicious street food and it was a positive surprise. Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere (very well decorated). Two things I would like to suggest: that the music should be quieter as it makes the small space seem more cramped with the noise of people talking and loud music and a digital sign to know that the order is ready. With the movement and the loud music, it is almost impossible to hear the attendants. I want to come back more often to try other dishes and who knows, maybe if the environment is less noisy Ill be able to eat there.
I ve had many Korean foods. This place cool to dine in. The owner is friendly and the chicken bucket is my favourite. food tasty and they are generous with their sauces- you can pick up your own sauces. Especially in Cochrane , good place to get food( I only eat meat) as we travel through to the mountains you need some good foods. I have been here few times and they have been good in serving good foods. Keep it up Hankki staff.

Amazing food, amazing staff, and great atmosphere. My daughter and I tried a selection of a few things off their menu (ugly potatoe, and 2 of their rice bowls, and i think they were honey garlic fries). The fries were perfect, crunchy and flavourful, the ugly potatoes was my daughters favorite wanting a second one. The fried chicken was excellent and the spicy chicken and pork far exceeded my expectations. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would, I will definitely be back and if youre thinking pf trying this place for the first time I would definitely recommend you give it a try!!! We need more diversity in Cochrane and Hankki is an amazing place to go. Super cheap and delicious corn dogs and great rice bowls!
I def enjoyed the food at Hankki. It was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was fast and efficient and will def drop by again when I m in the area.

One of my favourite lunch spots in Calgary has arrived in Cochrane! Located in the shopping complex by Safeway and Winners, its a great addition to our community. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly, and the interior is original and fun. Definitely swing in here if you are looking for a delicious lunch or dinner! Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian options Parking: Huge parking lot to accommodate all of the stores in the area.

Exceptional service! The staff opened the door for us on this cold winter evening. The staff was super friendly and helpful . Food was delish, they even brought us fresh fries on the house !! And they even played Korean pop music videos . All the staff were Korean . It felt like a fun k pop evening Dietary restrictions: I don t believe there were many gf or vegan options
