Love the food here, always served sizzling hot (as seen in the videos) and fresh. Perfect levels of spiciness on the dishes today and the katsu bites are so crispy and tasty. Service is always wonderful and friendly always treated like family. Highly recommended
I had a delicious sogogi soondobu here for dinner! It came with two side dishes and a salad. The server was attentive and great as well. Having lived in cities with abundance of Korean food, this place is definitely legit ! Would return again :)

Went in for dinner last night. It was amazing! Our waitress was so nice and helpful. It was our first time having Korean food and certainly won’t be our last! We shared three dishes and they were all amazing!!! Couldn’t recommend any more! THANK YOU LADIES
This is a hidden gem of a Korean restaurant I discovered in Calgary! The food is clean and uncomplicated, without being overly spicy or causing discomfort after eating. It offers a distinctly different menu and taste from any other Korean restaurant I've experienced. The freshness of the ingredients and generous portions were great, and it was perfect for enjoying with our young children. The kids loved the bulgogi and katsu sticks the most, while the adults thoroughly enjoyed the beef soft tofu stew and galbitang, finishing every bite. We will definitely visit again.
We heard there’s a new Korean restaurant in town: Daon! ✅ Reasonably priced ✅ Good portions ✅ Authentic taste (my husband is Korean and cooks at home so you know it’s good if he approves) We went on Saturday afternoon, perfect weather for soup. I ordered the Galbitang (beef short rib soup) and my husband ordered the (gamjatang) spicy pork bone soup. The soups came with side dishes: bean sprouts mixed with sesame oil, salad, red pepper flake cucumbers. Overall, good bang for your buck. Some people may not know about dipping a spoonful of rice into the soup (last short-video), give it a try! Sometimes I put the whole bowl of rice and let it soak up the broth 🤤 Feedback: the soup flavours are authentic, but missing the depth that comes from slow cooking over a long period of time. The galbi (beef short rib) was good but not nearly as tender as the gamja (pork bone). Our server was friendly and fast. I can see how speed of service will slow down because they bring out each dish as a meal on a tray so a lot of walking back and forth. It was quiet when we went so it wasn’t an issue. I’d recommend the server using a cart to bring out the multiple meals to save them time. Restaurants like this typically go under the radar so please share with everyone! P.S. The food was so amazing!! Best Korean meal I've ever had in AB. Fresh ingredients, amazing taste! I loved how the food is nicely displayed in a tray. The two appetizer we tried were very tasty! All my family enjoyed the food. My kids (both under 10) loved the Korean BBQ dishes. I loved cabbage rolls soup! My husband loved beef Bibimbab. They were all so good!👍
This was the restaurant where I could enjoy real Korean food in Canada. I could feel that the food was made only with very healthy ingredients without any bad seasoning taste. It was clean and nice-looking and the way it was served was also very convenient. I will visit again soon and have the food here with my family. Personally, I would like to recommend LA Galbi combo.

Phenomenal! Great hidden gem restaurant. Home cooking authentic Korean and worth the drive from Calgary! Every dish amazing every time and can t wait to be back :) Kid-friendliness: Made a kids plate for our 3 year old and he loved it!

The food here are very tasty and delicious. If you are craving for a Korean Cuisine, this is the best place to go in town. Although they only have limited options for food, they are all still very healthy and scrumptious. Their servings will satisfy your hunger if you are an average eater and I will recommend this place for a healthy and vegan friendly meal. Parking: If there isnt any parking spots on the street, they have a parking lot at the back alley.
Had a delightful and filling lunch there. Everything was fresh and very tasty. This has been a tough location for several restaurants. The location is good but the decor needs updating to be more welcoming.
Excellent Had the Beef Bulgogi BBQ. Super tender and flavorfull. I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu! Great staff and nice decor.

Good Korean restaurant with great service. A gem in amidst all the Asian box-store cuisine in this town. It was recommended to me, and I would recommend it as well.
We have a very nice experience here. We accidentally ordered the wrong food by ourselves, they made a new one for us without asking and only charge us one. For the delicious food and warm service, I highly recommend this restaurant. Parking: Park back of the store.

Excellent~* Im Korean. On the way back from my trip to Calgary, my friends and I orderd 7 different dishes. All of the foods are very nice. The food not only tastes good, but neat, healthy. All of my five senses were happy. Amazing chef~* Great service~*
Very very good food and amazing service! The service was exceptional and they were so friendly. Would definitely recommend to come. We had the pork bone soup (gamjatang) and japchae, it was fantastic.

I would not recommend the bibimbap as it was very dry and lacking meat and flavour. The Gamjatang on the other hand was out of this world delicious. Very authentic and brimming with savoury flavour.
Delicious food. Very courteous checking when we ordered vegetarian mains if we were okay with fish or eggs and suggesting replacement sides as needed. I really appreciated that kind of service. We will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Great tofu dish
Very cozy oriental Korean restaurant tucked just at the foothills of Cocrhane.Sit in and dine in a nice snug personal space and enjoy the taste of Korea and indulge your taste buds in the palatable dishes.Very friendly staff. You wont be disappointed.

Doan Korean Restaurant in Cochrane is a gem for anyone who loves authentic Korean cuisine. We recently tried their bibimbap and tteokbokki, and both dishes were fantastic. The bibimbap was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a perfect balance of ingredients. The tteokbokki had just the right amount of spice and a wonderful chewy texture. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Its a great spot to enjoy delicious Korean food. Highly recommended!
Was traveling through and stopped for lunch. The food is spectacular, the service wonderful, and the experience overall is a total delight. If you havent tried Korean food yet, this spot is authentic and like a home-cooked meal that gives all the wonderful flavours of Seoul, but right here in Alberta. The galbi was particularly delightful. Sunny and her stay are delightful hosts.
Daon was excellent. We are happy to have a solid Korean sit-down in Cochrane, and really enjoyed our meal. We both got bbq dishes, bulgogi and jaenyuk, and they were delicious. Excited to go back during cooler temps to try their soups, and will 100% be back to try the rest of their other dishes. The service was very friendly, and unobtrusive. Smiles and answers for any questions you may have. The drink menu, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic is limited, but you should be able to find a basic that you like.

So we were just planning to get ice cream from Mackays then suddenly we saw Daon from the side road and we were like lets try it.Best decision cause everything they served tasted authentic.Of all the Korean Resto ive been to,this restaurant is the best.Amy and Sunny were super welcoming and friendly,i will surely comeback..

This Korean restaurant is excellent! The food tasted just like healthy, authentic Korean home-cooked meals. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. They also have a spacious patio, perfect for gathering with friends. I will definitely come back.

As a traveler, finding quality places somewhere you re not familiar with doesn t always play your way. We found this place by luck and, boy, the food was on target! This is great place to come with family and friends. I tried the spicy chicken bbq, this dish with the sides (a salad, sweet marinated veggies and rice) was very well balanced between sweetness and spiciness. We also ordered bulgogi dumplings which were very tasty and a recommended starter!!!
Phenomenal BBQ dishes, friendly & caring staff, and I appreciate that they have delicious vegetarian options. Definitely worth stopping by if youre in Cochrane!
They have only been open a few months but you d never know it. The server was very kind and food was really great. I m glad we stumbled across it as we are not residents of cochrane but would be happy to drive back to eat here.
On the way back to Calgary, I found this place called Daon Korean Restaurant. Its just amazing. I tried kimchi jjigae, and my wife tried galbi tang. I think it s the best in Alberta. I have tried many Korean restaurants in Calgary and Edmonton, and I think this is real Korean food. I 100% recommend it and will come back again for sure.

The new Daon Korean restaurant is so fresh and healthy. This food is homemade, nutritious and soothing to your gut. I asked for a sample of her homemade kimchi so delicious! Theit cook is adorable! The service is super friendly, and they will work really hard to accommodate whatever your dietary preferences are. You won t find sweeter ladies than there! There are dishes suitable for keto, gluten-free, paleo, vegetarian and meatatarians. Give them a try!

So happy Cochrane finally has a Korean food place. Gamjatang is perfect for rainy or cold weather. I enjoyed the banchan especially the sukjunamul. I hope they extend their menu to more Korean dishes

Haven t been here yet but just had the owner drop off some samples to us working next door and everyone thought the food was very tasty!! Looks like they also have a grand opening special for 10% off until the end of May! Excited to bring my family and friends here :)
I m Chinese, came here with my French partner. Both of us love the food! The French guy rarely gives compliments on Asian food. I m glad this place pleased him. The interior looks a bit plain for now, but they are just opening so it makes sense.
My husband and I LOVE Korean food and we are so excited this place opened. The food is incredible and the LA galbi is incredible.
Definitely one of the most incredible Korean cuisine I ve ever tried. As someone who s been enjoying Korean cuisine for 10+years. This is definitely a place to go. HIGHLY recommend trying out their Bulgogi also the customer service is 10/10.
