Found a hair in my burger! We were told to sit at a dirty table with leftover food from the previous people. We waited an hour for our food. Will not be eating there again

Best little spot in town.

This has been my favourite place in Cochrane for many many years, and still is today.

This is your typical mom n pops cafe! The food is spot on and always comes with a smile. Its not very big inside but is big on quanity and quality of their food and service. Nice and clean too.

The ladies working here are wonderful. Its a smaller location but the food and service are fantastic. Very clean and the food is cooked at the front of the restaurant in the open. This is hands down the best poutine Ive ever had and the other food was great too.

Friendly, bright, clean, lots of smiles, and great conversations! I always enjoy eating at Kaylobs Dietary restrictions: I let them know I,m Keto diabetic, they always ask before preparing my meal, if its Ok Very accommodating!

The food was bang on. The atmosphere was simple. Not fancy. Great spot to go in your winter jacket n boots or with kids. Menue has good choices and prices are reasonable. The service was backed up with a big order before me but the 2 girld kept working and got the food out in good time hot n packed well for the trip home. Poor parking in winter. Snowbanks get in the way.

Fast service (hence the 2 stars). Food - not so good. Do not get the Fish and Chips , even if you are told that people rave about it. First cup of coffee was warm-to -hot. Refill was better. Waitress never can back to check on satisfaction with meal. F&C, club house, root beer = ~$40. Dinning room temperature - too cold for comfort

Went out for a family breakfast while visiting lovely Cochrane, Ontario for my big Brothers wedding this past weekend. We googled breakfast spots after the restaurant in the train station that my brother highly recommended was closed (he recommended the train station spot because they use his farm fresh eggs) and this was the top rated spot in town. Its in a converted house and it gives the restaurant a very small town feel and like youre invited to eat breakfast at someones Grandmothers table. They were very busy and cars parked on the street took up almost half a block so we took that as a good sign that it was popular with the locals. As a veteran of the restaurant industry I felt bad that we didnt have a reservation and were a walkin group of 13 at 10:30am on Saturday of Thankegiving weekend and they didnt have a large enough table so we sat as three tables of 3, 4 and 6 which we were more than okay with because it put less pressure on the lone cook to push out 13 plates at once for a walkin group this big. Our food took a little while to arrive but we hardly noticed because we were catching up as a family because it was the first time we had all seen each other at the same time in about 6 months. I must say the food was more than worth the wait and I dont know how they turn a profit with such low prices and mammoth portions so far North in Ontario where everything costs so much more because of how remote it is and the extra cost to ship literally everything up that far North!! Very friendly staff who were very welcoming and funny. Highly reccomend this place for anyone needing a breakfast spot while visiting Cochrane, Ontario. Parking: Free street parking but if the restaurant is busy you might have to walk upwards of a half block but thats not a dealbreaker by any means Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly place and inviting decor that will help occupy the kid with stuff to look at and the staff is seemingly good with kids Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible restaurant due to it being ground level with no steps to the door. Washroom might be an issue though because its VERY narrow. Keep that in mind.

Good food friendly people

Food was delicious but slow to make it to the table. Child ordered the easiest meal to prepare however it came to the table quite some time after the first meals were served.

The poutine will challange the greatest hungers. Ive contemplated driving 2 hours out of my way for hangover soup( not sure if that was just a special). Ive seen some bad reviews but they completely discredit themselves, not following covid protocol? Get real, Im from the north, covid has nothing on us... wish I could give them 6 stars.

The food was really good. Ate with a friend. Be careful with the large poutine. It easily feeds 4 people. The prices were great. $14 for the poutine. We also got the king burger. We could barely finish, but the taste was unforgettable. Easily the best poutine in town.

The last time I ate here, and it seems that it is a reoccurring thing, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with poutine. The beef was so dry it was more of a work out than take out just to chew through it and the poutine! Man that poutine was bad. FLAKY FRENCH FRIES. Flaky as in over cooked puff pastry flaky. That weird sponge like texture that is so dry no amount of gravy could fix it. Gravy was so salty like the sea and the smallest amount possible. One maybe one and a half ladles full for a med poutine. The cheese wasnt even melted and it was shredded cheese. Oh and not to mention the OIL SLICK that was served with my poutine. And I get it, deep fried foods have oil but man this was as if they didnt even let the fries drain before tossing them right into the container. Now I used to go there all the time but it seems as if when the new owner took over everything started to go downhill. There was maybe 3 staff who were the most helpful and they have all left. Almost feels as if no one cares about the food there anymore and it used to be one of, if not the best, places to grab some food.

Wish I can select a zero rating.. worst restaurant if been too. Service terrible and slow. Overcharge and i kept the bill to prove it. Watch your bill before paying. Also, no covid precautions... Staff wear no mask but customers do... Grease makes food taste terrible. And can keep going but i said enough.

Fantastic diner food, the deep fried cheese curds were seasoned fantastically. For takeout it would be nice to have condiments and napkins in the bag.

GREAT food good portions for your $. Kitchen staff are viable when you pay thats when I realized he had no hair net on and T-shirt was too small and unattractive stomach and buttocks showing.

Food was ok but watching the way it was prepared turned me right off, handling raw hamburgers and then grabbing veggies and bread with unwashed hands is unacceptable where I m from, the kitchen area was dirty, people working were not friendly at all, I would never return.

Had breakfast and it was just like at home.

Its quick and its clean. Food is cooked and assembled on site but dressings are not made from scratch. My husband enjoyed his liver.

The medium poutine is huge and delicious - but more of a 2 person meal than just 1. Staff is great. Right by the lake. Nice atmosphere.

What a fantastic place to get some grub. The place may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is immaculately clean, very well decorated and extremely inviting and comfortable. The service was extremely friendly. As for the food...amazing! Best burger Ive had in a while! And although they dont use curds on their poutine, their gravy and fries alone make it worth the trip. Highly recommended, arguably the best place in town! Now...to try the pie!
