Steak and eggs is the best!! Great food, great atmosphere and amazing service. Nothing but great things to say about this place. Very happy to have them in town!
Full transparency, I can’t be very objective. The motel village location is part of my childhood, and getting the official Phil’s patty melt transported me back 30+ years. I can’t wait to get the Monte Cristo next time. This is comfort food, it’s reasonably priced, and it’s delicious. If you want fancy food, don’t let the upscale surroundings fool you, you probably want to try elsewhere. Maybe they’re working out some new restaurant issues, because it did take a while for the food. It was also very very busy, though. I didn’t mind waiting, my company was wonderful and the owner stopped by to assure us this won’t be the usual. We also learned from her that they are using the warehouse side of the building to prep meat and things for all their locations. Nice that they’re providing additional local jobs to a wonderful small community. Parking was a bit tight, but it might not be bad when they aren’t crazy busy.
Best drip coffee in town. The food was really good. The beef chubbies are yum. The Price for breakfast was responsible. There is accessible parking, and the whole restaurant is accessible. There is plenty of seating and a fair bit of space between tables. The staff are super friendly. By 10 am on the weekend it's getting fairly busy.
Food was awsome and service was great. We didnt have to wait to long for anything. For those people who posted 3 stars or less, you must be completely drunk and just want to make a bad review for nothing.
The food was absolutely delicious it came quickly and our server Rachel was amazing by far the best service Ive had at a resturant
Service is an absolute joke Was seated and brought menus and waters and ignored for 25 minutes Had about 6 waiters just walking around. One following the other like a lost puppy dog Finally just got up and left Will never be back
Absolutely wonderful! Its so great to have this restaurant in town! My family and I have been here at least 3 times since they opened and everytime had been wonderful! Great service and extremely friendly staff! The food is so delicious! This is exactly what Cochrane needed and cannot say enough good things! Definitely the best breakfast restaurant in Cochrane!
A very nice, calm atmosphere with comfortable seating of tables and/or booths (approx seating for 80), amazingly friendly staff (Brooklyn was awesome) and topped off with consistently quality food makes for a spot that will be hard pressed to disappoint. Coffee was especially fresh and delicious - love that a personal carafe is left on table to ensure a constantly full, hot cup is present - the travellers breakfast covered everything needed - 2 eggs, 3 classic chubbies and 2 pancakes that were a perfect balance of doughy and firm; sweet and savoury. Yum Yum Sundae (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on half a waffle, smothered in fruit) was icing on the cake.
Food was ok - nothing special Service was horrible - waited 45 min for our food to come. Other people who came in later than us were served before us. Two young girls walking around just looking at the tables but not doing anything. Feels squishy when u are walking around.
Best breakfast in town
What a great restaurant, atmosphere is exactly what you would want for a nice breakfast with the family!!! Highly recommend!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Been going to Phils for 30 plus years. So glad they opened up here in Cochrane!!!!
I hope they can serve food way faster in the near future Had to wait for 1 hour for a omalette . Parking space
Breakfast was good other than the toast was barely toasted more like warm bread.Service was great until we had to wait at the door for 4 minutes to pay our bill nobody else was there restaurant was not busy.As for the atmosphere very friendly but way too bright(dim your lights)Please understand this is just constructive criticism to help Phil s improve on the little things.
Great service and food. It was a wonderfull experience and we will be back!!
The restaurant is warm and welcoming. The selection of condiments brought to the table is nice and I enjoyed that they left a coffee pot on the table for refills. That being said, the food is just not good. There was the clear part from the egg un cooked ontop of my eggs. The maple syrup with the white top on the table tasted like it had a flavour. The pork sausages tasted like hot dogs. They re not your typical pork sausage link. There was a sour taste to my water that was either lemon or vinegar. I m not too sure what happened but we probably wouldn t return back. Sunny side up will continue to be our weekend breakfast spot.
Amazing customer service and even better food!! I will be back!
The 15 minute wait was close to an hour. When you go to the window to ask about the wait time, they look at you then look away as if you are not even there. Waited a long time for the food and it never came. Ended up leaving after wasting an hour and 45 minutes. The only thing we got was our drinks and the waitress put the hot coffee directly in front of the baby. I was excited to get a Phils in Cochrane after so many good meals in Banff, but this place is a shame to the name.
