Overall it was good place to visit only thing I got frustrated cuz i waited too long for the pool table then bartender put my name on the list for next turn and then after 20 mins somebody got the ball tray and no one called my name that I have on the list. Rest it was great experience. Thanks
We wanted to play pool and it’s the only place in town with pool tables. $10 an hour (very reasonable). Tables are okay, sticks are okay, service is good. The place is a bit run down but it’s relaxed inside. Locals don’t have high regards for this place. We were there working out of town and it’s not as bad as they say.
Great dive styled bar. We usually go to shoot pool, play darts and for Wednesday Wing night. The chicken wings are awesome and the fries are good. We haven't eaten much their otherwise but for what it is Moguls is a classic in Collingwood. For some cheap boozin' and a fun environment it's a great time. Nothing fancy or perfect but it doesn't need to be
No debit so come prepared. They only take Mastercard or Visa. Staff were super nice, but to play pool it's a $30 deposit only by credit card. Drinks were on the pricey side.
Used to be able to play pool and grab a drink without having to wait 30 minutes and also used to have proper hearing since the music is so loud you can't even talk to anyone. Don't come if you want the bartender to be snarky to you when you obviously can't hear her questions with how loud it is..
This place has been run down for years. Whatever though, cheap drinks, but an absolute drown bar. The reason for the 1-star is they’ve started charging $4.50 for tap water. For anyone reading this, although the AGCO doesn’t require non-alcoholic beverages to be free, they do allow municipalities to require it. So if you’re in Moguls and need tap water, either take a glass from the bar or empty your drink and fill it in the bathroom, or cite policy PR-POL-C-001-2021 from Collingwood’s bylaw that states: a) The permit holder will be responsible for promoting safe transportation options for the drinking participants, which may include but are not limited to the following: • Providing free non-alcoholic beverages for Designated Drivers
Edit ** the DJ is kind of crap , okay some creed or limp bizkit or something people actually vibe with . Trashy bar fly pool bar. Perfect in its imperfections. A true place of character and bring your own vibes. It offers cheap pool cheap beer and cheap thrills. a much needed staple in the world , transport yourself back to a simpler time when a bar didn’t have to be expensive cocktails and dim lighting
Place was good. Atmosphere was what you would expect from a pub. Service was fast. Not many people there for a Saturday night. Food was ok, could of been better for the price you pay for basic dishes. My steak sandwich was ok for taste but it was dry, the wife's club was good but average the bruschetta was ok, Needed more spices and the pizza was a bit floppy and the extra pepperoni was under cooked. No debit only cash and credit. You are forced to use there ATM machine and pay it for the use to pay after if all you have is a debit card. There was darts and billiards along with a new jukebox for you entertainment. Also a flat screen to watch the game. All in all I give this place a 3.5. average pub, food could of been better for the price you pay or is over priced imo. Staff was friendly and helpful and the place was clean.

The owner of this establishment yelled at and me and my friend and refused to serve us water. I think someone should retake their smart serve. They are legally obligated to serve water. As long as you are human and ask for water, the restaurant cannot refuse. Had to bite my tongue to not educate the staff.
Had some fun with friends tonight. Played 8 ball pool. It s too good and cheap. I would suggest this to everyone in collingwood and in blue mountain.
The smell is overwhelming and hits you every single time you walk in (like farts and B.O.) My friends and I waited almost 30 minutes at the bar to get our drinks. There is only one bartender that cares about doing his job and is pleasant to the customers. The dance floor was fun because almost everyone was dancing:) Unfortunately the DJ despite working hard and trying his best couldn t match beats together if it was the only way to save his life. Security were a great couple of guys:) on tap beers run you $8-9.
My friends and I went this past weekend 2 men and 2 woman. After they had received there drinks we began to play pool, I my self was the DD so I was only drinking water at the time. My friend (23) and I were then asked for our IDs, which was fine however then were ask for a second time, I had given the security my government drivers license again. The third time they again came asking for a secondary Peace of Id which I only had my credit card and debt card.they also had my friends visa.They then left with my id and then for a third time ask me( 30 years old), grey hairs and all ,to go to the bar tenders for additional confirmation. I am a server my self , and was told this place had had a complaint that there was someone under age so I could have been understanding in the beginning. However when I approached the two bar tenders I made the statement that I was mostly /likely older then both of them. And instead of an apology I was given a snarky attitude dismissing me away that my id was again for the third time fine. At this point my friends and I decided to leave since we no longer were wanting to keep our business there. My friend and I went up to the bar to pay and she had mentioned to the girls that they should of asked for everyones id befor serving, and then again the bar tender replied that it was there job lol which both my friend and I said yes , yes it is to ask before hand .I also informed them that after all the inconvenience they should have at least apologized. These two bar tenders have alot to learn about customer service, and I my self would be looking to write them up because if they continue loseing the bussience customers they will be loseing money. Lastly I would like to point out it was only us two woman that were getting Id not our two male friends. And I would appreciate maybe a credit for the inconvenience if ever we choose to try the place out again.
Terrible service. It was close to last call, the server asked us what we wanted, we placed the order and waited for 10 minutes. When the drinks never came we asked again and was told: sorry I cant serve you, we are passed the time.... Talked to the owner and he said he couldnt do anything about it. My family and I were the minority in the bar, and we sure felt like it- from the stares to the service. We will never go back there and dont recommend anyone else go there.
Cant beat Wednesday wings night. Never been on the weekend but I heard they have music.
Came in to practice some pool and have a beer, the bar is set up in a way that makes getting a drink almost impossible on a busy night.. and the pool tables are rented with a deposit making a game hard to get in on if youre not in a large group. Personally, Id recommend they serve beers in the back and mixed drinks in the front aswell as some machine operated tables.
Didnt try food but was at the bar waiting for 30 minutes before being able to get a drink while bartenders helped people around me that showed up after me.
My family and I walked into this restaurant and there was no one to greet us. as soon as we walked in everybody stared at us and it was really weird. the locals at the bar who claimed that theyre here everyday was also being really rude for no reason. would not recommend. shady place.
Not surprised to see other comments saying it s a shady business, terribly slow service with not enough staff, they will overcharge you at the bar if you re not paying attention, and if you want to play pool they will steal your deposit and say they can t give you it back even though you only got the balls and sticks by giving them a deposit in the first place.
Was there new years with my sister and brother in law had a nice time
Got asked for ID at the door. Didn t have it so i walked all the way home to get it. When I returned it was a different security guard and he let me in without id.

Was able to accommodate 147 college students on such a short notice. Would try to terribly imitate Canadian accents again while missing every shot in pool. Thank you for having Michigan Snowboard Club.
Went to play pool but they had a tournament at 7pm so we only got to play for 45 minutes Not sure well get the chance to play there in Collingwood again Atmosphere
Moguls is a great place if youre looking for a night out with friends or even just a bite to eat with a drink. The service was just as good as the beer and the atmosphere is great. They got music and billiards to play as well, I havent tried their food yet but Im confident its awesome just like eberything else. I plan on going again and again.
Owner needs to seek anger management.
Female bartender ignored all females around the bar which were most people around the bar, they can t keep up with the demand even though it wasn t close to pact very disappointed with the service and waited over 20 minutes before being served but the dj they had was amazing

Shady business, I went here tonight with some friends and tried to order my first drink of the night. I asked for a rum and coke, The owner made me a drink and served me. I only had my debit card with lots of money on it to pay for the drink.He told me that he doesn t accept debit and told me to get the F word out of here. His ATM machine had no money in it so I couldn t give him cash and I didn t have one of my credit cards to give to him. So I didn t accept the drink and told him nicely that because I only have my debit I can t pay for this drink. I cut myself off for the night and went back with my friends only for the owner to yell at me in front of my friends and told me that I wasted his time and to get the F out of the bar. I never been humiliated like that before in front of people and I don t wish it upon anyone else. He is obviously not a good person and I will never spend another dollar of my hard earned money in this place again. I will never recommend this place to anyone and there is always fights, The owners excuse is that he has no cameras.. He is running a dump!

Me and my family went there for lunch had the chicken wings they were so dry didnt matter if you were to put sauce they were ridiculously dry calamari was slimy cheese bread was dry would not go there again if I can give it a zero I would theyre lucky that I gave him one star.

This place I feel has a bad rap but I beg to differ. Coming from city life, these folk know nothing. An up kept clean (bar like) environment, a genuine place with plenty of pool, darts and fun. Dont listen to the nay sayers here Its a good time

Went to this off the main Street pub. Pre-covid it must have been so cool to play pool here. But still I give it 5 stars for the awesome home potato chip nachos, the service with a smile (even through the Covid mask) and the cold draught beer from the local craft brewery. They also have a new style electronic juke box. You wont be disappointed!

True dive bar. Known for physical altercations and over serving. Usually a very drunk crowd, which is great if that is what you are looking for. Unfortunately it is a small town, and their reputation proceeds them. The bathrooms need a great scrub from top to bottom. The staff are incredibly friendly, but not always attentive. Could be a great dive if the proper attention was paid.

Visting friends in town I came upon the worst service ever at this bar. They had a special ran on wednesday for wings and 5 of us went into the bar to enjoy this. The bar was not packed or I would have been understanding in the wait but it was not. Three of us stood at the bar with no service while 3 different bar tenders felt the need to give us horrible looks and walk right by us. Upon sitting down we still waited while two servers just chatted and clearer did not want to serve us. Not even a hello or welcome, or even I will be with you in a moment. Most places in this town are wonderful but the service from here will make me never go back. We ended up leaving as we were hungry and came to enjoy some beers together. Very sad because previously I have had good times at this venue but after being treated so rude will no return or suggest.

Bartenders over serve. Rude and ignorant. Probably the worst bathroom I have ever been in. Holes in every wall and in the floor. Just over all pretty sketchy.

I went here for a special event, but Ive been familiar with this establishment for a long time. Its OK. They dont really seem to be doing anything in particular, just relying on people coming in to drink. Even the event I was attending showed very little effort put in. Overall there was nothing impressive about the place, it is very lacklustre. Still has a few pool tables, I guess thats something to do...

I was checking out Elvis festival activities with a few friends when we decided to go by Mougls for the live entertainment. Upon paying $30 for the 3 of us to get in and ordering 1 drink each, we were asked to leave by security. I asked the security guard to please explain why we were being asked to leave, and where was the owner. He came back with the owner who then started to scream in my face that he owns the place, and he can kick out whoever he wants. I responded with what a joke, I m finishing my drink I just bought and we will leave . Marco then grabbed the drink from my hand , slammed it on the counter as he grabbed my arms (leaving a bruise from the excessive force) and screamed in my face you can leave NOW!!! as he pushed me out the door and into another female customer that was entering the bar. Extremely unprofessional owner, childish bar tenders and unsanitary restrooms. After the experience we had last night with the owner chasing us down the street calling us names , we will NEVER be back!!!

The price for booze is right, they make great food, and the locals are good people...well, most of them. This place is where I usually go after the mountain before heading home. Always good to see friendly faces and share in good times. Sort of a staple in Collingwood now. And if you dont know, now you know!
