Crowded happy vibe. Beer brewed on site is amazing. I m a big fan of their High Street ESB and their Nitro stout. The menu is funky but nourishing. Definite Collingwood hangout.

Before I give the bellows a five . If I m a patron it very rude to say we have a cover change it bought out you must leave . I was in the music industry in the 1970s bars allowed people to stay if the patrons and paid . Cover charges for bad entertainment come on please wake up business go down with this

Good beer. Food was pretty decent. My snapper sandwich was very tasty. My family all ordered the maple chicken sandwich. Unfortunately the chicken was dry. The service was quite slow, despite it not being busy. All in all, I would come back for the beer and maybe just order some appetizers next time.

Beer and servers were great as usual but disappointed in the menu. Korean corn dog and crispy fish sandwich were really fun pub fare but no longer on the menu. Tried the pork wontons for 18 dollars and got 4 deep fried wonton wrappers with some fried pork on top. Nachos were good. Had lots of cheese layered in them. Still miss the old favourites. Will go back to buy beer.

Second time being here , first time the service was extremely slow. There was only one guy hustling and everyone else was just standing around chatting and making excuses. I ordered a flight of beer thinking it would be like anywhere else, ..it s less than a pint total and costs way more , not really sure how that makes any sense ? Especially since it s your brewery and you sell entire cans for much less..no reason why 15oz of beer should be close to 15$ before tip. Also considering the pints are 9.50.. just being cheap imo. So I decided to come back and try again , the jerk poutine we got was actually really great for the price and was super good ! The girl who served us was quicker and super nice. So we ordered the roasted red pepper bruschetta appetizer which is 16$ before tax and tip what arrived was 4 pieces of stale bread with some tomato on top lol. No red pepper and no where near justifiable for that price. And if this is a supplier cost issue with you guys then maybe go to the grocery store , idk. There s no planet where I should be paying 20$ all in for 4 little pieces of bread with tomato and not to mention no sight of the roasted red pepper part lmao so honestly after these two times I won t be back , clearly just taking advantage of a limited choice of places to go in collingwood and jacking up prices for some items way too high.

Was in the Collingwood area for the weekend and stopped in for a couple beers and a pretzel. Not only were the beers (and food) very good, but the beer selection was excellent so picked up some cans on my way out so I could try out the whole range of offerings. Would go back any time Im in the area, great mix of atmosphere and quality brews.

Third stop on a brewery tour. Beer wasnt good. Food wasnt good. Service wasnt good. Will not be returning.

There were 5 of us - my partner, his mum, his brother, me and our small daughter - a company that is not likely to get drunk. We shared beers (brother didnt drink - hes a teen), however, the waiter refused to serve my partner more beers, because he ordered 4 in one hour. I couldnt find any information about such restrictions on your webpage or anywhere online, so was really disappointed. Please, if you have such a policy, put it somewhere, cuz weve been to hundreds of places around the world and this was the first time we met such attitude.

The Kale Caesar Salad was amazing! They make homemade croutons. I always find the food here unique and very tasteful! Kudos to Chef Lee. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The environment/space is very cool too

We came here for a friends birthday with about 14 people, I loved the games they provide it was a lot of fun to play some games while you re waiting for your meal with friends. Our sever Derek was amazing very funny and friendly! Definitely coming back next time we re in town! Absolutely worth a visit if you re in town.

Interesting bar with a good selection of alcoholic drinks. Also typical hot and cold snacks. The ambience was stylish and the dining room was clean. The service was friendly and the service was on point. One star deducted because the beer I actually wanted was no longer available. But there were good alternatives :)

I had a great experience with my family the customer service and food was excellent. We ordered the chicken Schnitzel, the Kale Caesar salad and the Pretzel, and a few of the home brew beers. I would recommend this place if you are looking for some good old Comfort food.

I would like to give a special mention to Spencer, our server on Saturday, he made our night with his great service and humour. It was my first time at the brewery, a beautiful welcoming space. I tried the Dunkel and enjoyed it. Would definitely return and try more of their offerings.

The smash burger is bursting with flavour reminiscent of that one perfect burger that you wonder could it ever be this good again? Service was superb could be the sweetest server in town. Music was the perfect volume. Honestly: this place is a true 5-star. The light lager is fresh like you hope for: just imagine long bike ride, or a long work day and sip sip hooray. We cannot wait to come back.

Lovely cheese tray, good sampling of craft beer. Tables have a bench style seating, which doesnt promote a long visit. But a nice place to drop by for a quick bite.

Smash burger is amazing, wings are really good. Hoison lime sauce on the wings were amazing. The chicken sandwich was to die for. We ate a lot. Service was super fast ,very friendly and so accommodating. This will be a regular for us.

Digital arm-wrestles Analog throughout this place... you gotta scan QR codes to get a drink list or search for the chalkboard scribbles above the taps. Im sure this Patio is the place to be at during those summer days, great location. Inside was a different story from the tiny & uncomfortable chairs to the awkward interior design layout & ultimately the food was overpriced for what was served.

Wide selection of craft beers. Food was fantastic. Our server (Hannah C) went out of her way to get a beer that we had specifically drove over to try and purchase. Both times we ve been to BBBC we ve come away impressed. We ll be back.

Big Buck beer was great! Smash burger and fries were also good. Staff were friendly and decor was nice (old building with beautiful exposed brick). Downtown parking was free on the weekend which was also nice.

How this place is rated 4.5 is a mystery. Food is inedible and the service slow to nonexistent. Please go elsewhere in town. It s a trap!

Excellent beer. Good service. French fries were top notch. Food was otherwise a bit mixed in quality. My guess is that the burgers, sausages and chicken are precooked and assembled at plating without a final sear. Given they are charging premium prices for food, I think they could up their game here.

We dined on the patio for lunch. This was our first visit. The hummus dip tasted very fresh, and I liked how it was served with veggies and pita pieces.

So it is 748pm on July 1. I arrived over 12 minutes ago with my dog who did not have a leash. They were very accommodating and brought me water immediately. However I sat for 10 minutes without any server. The servers went to other tables. People who came after me and took their order. I am very disappointed with this service.

The wife and I were visiting the area and found this little gem. Great patio and excellent selection of beer and drinks. Had dinner and definitely cant go wrong with the blackened cod burger, smashed hamburger and the peach kale salad was outstanding... You cant go wrong in choosing this pub. We will be back for sure.

Very impressed with the service from Naomi today! We came in very hungry and she was prompt to take our order and food/drinks came out very quickly. She was so sweet and made my mom and I s time at Black Bellows such an enjoyable experience. Thanks Naomi and I hope she gets recognized for her hard work!

What a fantastic gem! We found this place by accident and what a find it was. The beer was fantastic. We are big juicy ipa fans and the Riwaka, Shinny and Big Buck are what we tried and ALL of them were amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the tuna salad and the fries and chef kisses! Lastly the service great job! We had our GSD with us and the server (Kevin) was so nice to us and our dog. He was very well versed in craft beer and was the perfect server. Gold stars all around!!!! We will definitely be back!

A magical night in the Parlour at Black Bellows! We had a truly memorable staff Christmas Party in the private back room with a curated menu, cocktails, and craft beer. Tori and Ali helped us put together a perfect spread for the evening including shrimp cocktail (the shrimp were huge!), The Journey Mediterranean platter, amazing salads, the best falafel EVER, tots with queso and more. The drinks kept flowing with attentive service and the ambience was outstanding. We all dressed up in sequins and fancy dresses and the lighting was so perfect to highlight the sparkle. Thanks for a fabulous evening we wont soon forget!

We stopped in for a beer after skiing and had a great time here. Staff were friendly and we got to know a bit about the area and what its like in the summer. We had a pretty good laugh with them about a few things (Danger Zone!) Got some great info on the artist that drew a huge and detailed mural! The beer was great too - some adventurous sours and some great traditional style stouts and ales.

Beers were good, food was just... meh. Tatters were great but the Nashville burger was just deep fried fat. There was no sauce and no spicy and there was more flavor in the butter bread than in the burger. Was quite disappointed. We had driven up just for this restaurant. Would like to come give it a second shot but we do not recommend the Nashville burger if youre looking for a flavorful burger.

Stopped by for a drink before the dinner. Very funky place with bunch of cool details. The service was very friendly. Craft beers were good and you can create you on flight to try them. If you are not into beers they do have a small selection of wine and basic shots.

Has the potential to be a great spot but the food menu is very basic and doesnt offer much choice. Beer is great but selection has shrunk a lot versus what it was a ~year ago.

If you are looking for a really good smashes burger and a beer, this is the place for you. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I thought the menu did not offer a lot. Don t order a single burger, not much meat on a single. Need a double or triple ego be satisfied.

The best shortcake Ive ever had in my life.. super amazing food and staff a little high but the service and flavours more than made up for cost.. The desert is not what youd expect I wont ruin it but its a must have.. Brat sausage to die for... And the cider had me wanting more. . Dont take my word try for yourself

Our first time here. Four of us enjoyed an IPA and ale flight. The saison was delicious but I will forever enjoy IPAs so I went with the Big Buck. Morgan was amazing, answered all our questions, super helpful. Lee makes fantastic food!!! Josh had the salmon tartar. Ive made preserved lemons, and Ive made lemon jam but the lemon business on the salmon! Super yummy! Thanks Lee for letting me taste it by itself! I had the rip and dip plate - warmed olives were so simple and yet so pleasant and the herbs on top - I always love when your fingers smell like rosemary and its olfactory effects heighten the food that you eat! Fries were shared and were all that fries should be. And you can taste the thyme. Dumplings were a vehicle for the sauce and Im thinking they could use a bit more something. Ginger? Garlic? Gochujang? My brother-in-law had the burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ended with the trifle. Any chef when you ask: why mint oil? and they say taste it and youll understand is my kind of chef. Though he did also explain everyone just takes the mint leaf off and misses the ness of it. The mint oil definitely added the ness. The brown butter cake was a little overwhelmed by everything else but if you tasted it by itself it was delightful. Proper cream, not cloying. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon! Side note: The patio is lovely but if you deal with noise sensitivities you will need headphones/loops/other types of ear protection. There are dogs and they sometimes bark and motorcycles and loud cars are driving by rather close. Inside would be fine, but to enjoy the patio its worth bringing something.

Had the spicy chicken sandwich yesterday. Way too salty and burned. Couldn t finish it and I ALWAYS finish the food! Wife had beyond meat burger that s was pretty good. 4 because we love the beer and the vibe. I ve been a long time supporter of Black Bellows but this was our first chance to finally visit. Told server about the above didn t get offered any discount or replacement.

Well I have to say I was pleasantly suprised how great this place is. Truly a very nice place that has very welcoming charm to it. I honestly have never been a craft beer guy. I have never been someone to experiment with different beers. I now have to say I was blown away with their beer. Great taste and very satisfying. I will definitely be coming back often. My wife really enjoyed the Spyhouse cider and the atmosphere. Great job Tori and staff. I will definitely be recommending Black Bellows to all my friends.

I came here just to snack and ordered a beer and nachos. Their nachos are just like 5 round chips for $18. It s overpriced and the waitresses passed comments because I just left after ordering nachos and asking for the bill. If you ve got big pockets, this is the correct place!! But don t expect quantity, quality of food and service. May be someone just wants to snack and not have dinner!! A customer should never be judged.

Nice place to go and find some different craft beers. I bought a few for a friends birthday and he really enjoyed them. The staff are friendly and helpful in selecting some different drinks to try.

We always enjoy the food here. Grilled Salmon salad is often our go to but we also enjoy sharing a few appetizers. We are always surprised that it is not as busy as our other Collingwood restaurants. We think its because the music is always too raucous. If seniors are in majority Ill ask if they can turn it down. I d happily give 5 star if they found better playist!

Black Bellows had great Breakfast and Brat on a Bun sandwiches, lovely Belgian Witbier and Most Gripping Pale Ale beers, and friendly/attentive staff. Black Bellows is a must if you are visiting Collingwood.

Loved Happy Hour 3pm-6pm, Monday to Friday too! We dropped in on Tuesday and Elke looked after us. Super good Big Buck IPA on the patio and still in the sun at 5pm how good! Also stroller/baby friendly which we rest appreciated.

Only if we didnt feel that we were being rushed to leave and asked multiple times if we were done with our meals while we were still eating and patio was half empty, dining here would have been a much more pleasant experience. While the craft beer (El 9 Wye-Larger) was quite tasty, the Beyond Meat Smash Burger tasted a bit too salty and overpriced compared to other restaurants in my opinion. I would like to thank the restaurant for reaching out and I appreciate that customer satisfaction is important to them.

A young company, with a young beer that Im confident will develop more in years to come. Had a nice time tasting and a few laughs with the server.

Salmon tartare was not very good. It has a very odd tasting sauce on it and for the price, there was definitely not enough fish! The Most Gripping pale ale was good though.

Friendly staff and cold beers - we popped in during a walk through Collingwood and would recommend it as a good spot with a nice patio to watch the world go by!

Ive showed up to this restaurant 4 times 3 times they were closed during the listed hours and after calling and hearing they are open. If you are showing up this feels like a gamble on if they will be open or not, the 4th time i got to actually go in, the staff was nice, i did go on a monday which is their guest kitchen day which means not the regular menu. It was a veganco day and i decided to go anyways as its rare i get time any other day to visit since i live out of town. The food was pretty good and personally the vegan chicken was not the best, ive had better vegan chicken for sure. I was also disappointed by the fact the drink menu had essentially no alcohol free options. I know its a brewery but most breweries ive visited have a house branded soda, or mocktails or really anything other than water and alc-free beer. I most likely wont be visiting when places just down the street offer better food, better drinks, and have a better vibe. Most likely will not visit ever again but i dont think it deserves too bad of a rating, im sure it has its charm for some people but just not for me. Very average experience.

The beer is excellent, but the food is over priced. $24 for a veggie burger and there wasnt anything special about it. The only thing more overreaching then the prices is the attitude of the staff. They were off putting, and gave us the sense like they didnt want to be there, or they didnt want us there.

This was once a five star rating, but our dinner last night changed that. Average pub food, same great beer. Not the same service, though. A fairly aloof server who rarely visited, never offered any of us a second pint and hovered over me as I paid my bill. Literally watching me punch in my info to the point where I looked back to her to hint to her to give me a couple feet of privacy. She did not and watched me the whole time. Wed have been happier with an iPad menu to choose from and food runners. Will try it again, but maybe at the bar next time.

I already feel sick after eating a burger and fries. I have been burping up the taste of dirty frying oil for the last few hours. I was in the mood for a burger. They only sell a double burger and it would have been nice of they offered a single. It was the most bland burger I have ever had. The only sauce was mayo. The bottom of the bun was soaking wet from the tomato and cut way too thin. The fries were horrible. It was almost as if they had scooped up the little bits that had fell to the bottom of the frier. The longest fry must have been only an inch long and ever single one was totally fried all the way through and filled with oil. I looked over at the other table and some other guy had totally normal looking fries. So, maybe I was just unlucky?

Visited recently and ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with a side salad. It was underwhelming, as the chicken was dry, and overall felt like it was missing something. I enjoyed the side salad, and it was a good size.

The best food presentation ! Its tasty as well! Associates were nice great patios. The place is clean! I suggest fresh flowers decorations on each table would be fantastic

A unique establishment with a very masculine vibe. The beverages are distinct from those other brands that get lost in the crowd. The black branding is bold and stands out from the usual. Flavour profiles are again bold and masculine with an earthy feel. I suggest adding a few pool tables and sports tv to complete the ambiance. If you re looking for something entirely different, go here.

Super friendly & great beer

Love Bellows the foods top notch and I adore the random art all over the place. Whether its a date or suds with the buds Id recommend them.

Usually we have an excellent time here. Great atmosphere, drinks and food. Never had bad service except for this time. We went and a gentleman took us to our table. There were oy 4 other people in the restaurant. We waited 30 minutes before we got a drink. The waiter never came back to our table. The bartender and another waiter for our food and drink order. Food was excellent and fresh. They gad food trucks come in and use their kitchens to serve food. LOVE this idea!! When we paid we said it was weird how long it took to take our orders and in the middle of a basically empty restaurant we were told everyone was super busy. Not ok. Super sad because we always liked this place. Will take a while for us to back.

Beer is amazing, food typically bar grub. For such a cool bar, time to look at the menu. Doesnt match up. Tater tots, really?

Disappointing service! The server forgot about us almost as soon as we got seated. After finally getting our orders the server never checked up on us or asked if we wanted any refill on drinks. We ordered burgers and for basic condiments to the table we had to find and flag down a different server because our serve disappeared. Overall a disappointing experience.

Best brew pub in Collingwood!

Had a love time at black bellows! Our server Amy was amazing, great vibes. Such a warm atmosphere. Will defiantly come back again.

Did not really expect anything but Amy convinced me to have the Double Smash Burger with tater tots and the eating experience began! Just the right quality and quantity for a tasty, mmmmm burger and the tots were toasty, crunchy and soft in the middle. Perfect! Thank Amy

I have never been to a brewery and enjoyed the vast majority of beers. Then to follow it up with a smash burger with pork belly - unreal. Hats off to the super friendly staff and the obviously talented brewers.

Food quantity and taste is not up to the price listed. Provides less quantity food for higher price abd tastes average . Not worthful visit.

I had a fantastic meal, accompanied by an amazing saison beer. The meal was a special take on thanksgiving dinner, and I won t soon forget it. I look forward to returning someday to try more from what looks like a superb beer selection. My only complaint is when I finished the meal, I asked for one of their hoodies to be added to my bill. The price on the wall was clearly $60, but later I discovered on my bill I was charged $65. I hope this was an error, as this type of bill padding is not appreciated.
