For a touch of Paris in Collingwood! Elegant European style cafe bistro serving breakfast and lunch, extensive choices of pastries, cakes and specialty gourmet foods. Fully licensed. Catering and custom cakes available.
Overpriced, small portions. Their yogurt bowl was over $11, and it was just a scoop of plain yogurt, some berries, and store-bought granola. The quiche was over $15 and it was tiny. Drinks were just okay. Overall disappointing, would not come back.
After a long search, I finally found a truly delicious croissant here! It’s the best I’ve had in all of Canada. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you're looking for the perfect spot for breakfast, you should definitely choose the Heavenly Cafe!
Really enjoyed this little Cafe. It was a bit chaotic inside but staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. $12 for a smaller croissant sandwich is a bit much but the quality of the food was really good and their cakes were a very nice size and flavourful as well. Presentation was good and the dishware interesting. The Cafe theme was geared toward a Paris vibe and succeeded in creating a comforting and relaxed atmosphere once seated with varied seating options, including an outdoor patio.
Absolute heaven! Ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday - vanilla with strawberries and whipped cream. So fresh and light and delicious. When we first saw it, we thought we should have ordered a smaller one. Everyone was so thankful we got the bigger one - so we could all have seconds :) Thank you Heli!
This Heavenly Cafe in Collingwood is a true gem, offering a serene and inviting atmosphere that makes it the perfect retreat. Lucky our family spent our weekend cottage vacation near here and enjoy the time in Hevenly Cofe…… Whether you choose to relax indoors or enjoy the fresh air in their outdoor seating area, the experience is nothing short of delightful. On a weekend afternoon, there's nothing better than savoring a cup of coffee here, surrounded by the tranquility of the holiday setting. The ambiance, paired with their exceptional service, creates a truly heavenly escape. Just come and enjoy the amazing gorgeous summer time here.……
Super friendly owners and staff. Loved this cafe, got the apple brie croissant which was just out of the oven. They specially made a lemon honey hot drink for my wife as she was having sore throat.
Super cute cafe offering a large selection of sweet or savory options for both breakfast, lunch, and also plenty of options for dessert. Great service. We loved having brunch on the patio. Their special were a hit for both adults and children.
Oh my... grateful 🥰 It felt like I was biting into a cloud. The love in this gourmet chef's heart, is expressed in every dish served. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. Love, Tess & Friends 🧡
Feel bad leaving this review because the food is exceptional especially soup of the day. Unfortunately the service is terrible. Been here a few times and service was ok. On my last visit I was ignored after seating myself. When the fourth person who came in after me was served I left and went to Thai restaurant a couple of doors down. Although it was busy at heavenly cafe when this occurred there were 2 ladies working so no excuse. Again great food but really bad service. Won t be back. Too bad because I thought I had found my new regular spot.
A real nice Café, good coffee, nice treats and food, definitely tops anything at the Village in Blue.
Excellent location for gourmet dessert as well as unique sandwiches
Pretty much the greatest cafe I ve ever been to. Just take a look at these sweet treats my wife and I just had.
I will start by saying the croissants were very good but this place is WAY overpriced. Despite the abundance of Eiffel Tower decorations, it did not feel fancy enough to warrant a $40 bill for 2 espressos, a croissant with jam and a croissant with bacon and cheese. We also waited 25 minutes for the croissants.
The place is great, friendly service. It is a bit on the expensive side for a warm dish and took a really long time. Otherwise, great.
Wonderful staff and a huge selection of baked treats!!! Met the owner Heli...a wonderful lady!!!
The service was amazing and so was the food. Truely heavenly thank you
A little slice of Paris. Best selection of desserts together with gourmet sandwiches and French onion soup makes this place a must visit
Great vibe, Abba, latte and brownies.
The cashier was so polite and friendly, she helped me out with every question i had, also helped me to choose the best cake according to the price.
My cheese Danish was good, Macha green tea satisfying too. Food here is expensive and takes a while to come out.
Totally worth the 120 kilometers to get here. Lovely and yammie!
My recent visit to Heavenly Cafe was overshadowed by the staffs unprofessional behavior. It s truly disappointing to see a young woman and man behind the counter wasting their time making snarky comments about customers, especially within earshot. Their lack of professionalism and respect was not only off-putting but also embarrassing for the café. It s a shame, as the potential for a pleasant experience was completely undermined by their conduct. We use to love coming here for the desserts, morning lattes, and afternoon sandwiches, but sadly feel uncomfortable to return.
Came in for a coffee and sweet treat with my family - staff was friendly and and so many choices for desserts! Everything we tried was delicious. Will definitely return.
Purchased a chocolate raspberry cake. Disappointed with the lack of raspberries. The chocolate was thick. I expected more raspberries. This was definitely more of a fudge cake. Just not what I had expected.
I ordered the Rosette cake for my moms 60th and we all loved it. Once the cake was brought out, everyone was commenting on how beautiful the cake looked. It was delicious as well!
You have to get a cappuccino here. The staff is very friendly.
Just stopped to grab a coffee All I can say is the smell is delicious. Warning: pace yourself
Not a heavenly experience. Tried this place several times and I give up. There is a woman who works there who is unfriendly, unwelcoming and acts like she s your mother. Terrible customer service. Shame on you.
Beautiful place, delicious food, best coffee in the Collinwood !
The hot chocolate was the best I ve had so far in Canada and croissant was very good too
Had a Cafe au Laity and Egg Salad sandwich Very tasty and service was quick and attentive Atmosphere of the Customers was they they were trendy Food : 4/5
I really love their croissants, coffee and pastries. Ordered a cake but it s wasn t as good as I thought it would be. It was just okay.
We got some smaller cake/pastries for my husbands bday today and GOD they were amazing!!! 100% recommended.
My mom and I stopped in for a light lunch. We loved the cute Parisian cafe feel. Service was welcoming, friendly and attentive. However, the food left something to be desired. Though there is an all day menu , it s only all day while supplies last. Meaning, it s not made fresh to order. Furthermore, the $15 croissant with chicken was nothing special and mu mom s salmon on pumpernickel was tiny. The cheesecake brownie we shared was gummy and and unpleasant. Furthermore, after leaving, both my mom and I have had an upset stomach, and we ate entirely different meals. Finally the restrooms are unpleasant, disorderly and feel like a broom closet. I would not return and fail to understand the positive reviews apart from the very pleasant service and the decor.
man that croque sandwhich is the best thing Ive ate in the past 3 years no joke.
The grilled cheese toast is so good
Best chocolate
I went here once 2 years ago and I still think about their red Thai curry soup often.
Upon a great recommendation from a friend to try the chicken tarragon salad on a croissant, I was not disappointed! It was outstandingly delicious and worth every single penny. Ill be back for other delights!
We were staying at living water resort & spa and grabbed a coffee and a bite to eat here while waiting to check in. This place was AMAZING and so cute inside!! The staff was super friendly and quick to serve us 6 girls, we just got food to go but they had really cute seating inside too. The iced latte was super yummy and the cheesecake brownie was delicious! The other girls all got croissant sandwiches and raved about them! Definitely recommend and wish I lived closer I d come here all the time! Vegetarian options: One of us is vegan so loved that they had oat milk! Dietary restrictions: One of us is vegan so loved that they had oat milk!
My son recently moved to Collingwood from Orillia so we were looking for a new go to place for butter tarts when visiting. I ordered 4 plain. I don t like raisins in anything let alone butter tarts, and 3 out of 4 of the plain had raisins in them. Ruined it for me. Also found them a bit runnier than they should be. The apple almond cake was delicious but we ll be going to Wilkie s in Orillia next time.
My sister and I were in collingwood for the weekend and we stopped by yesterday and had an amazing visit. The guy who works there (with glasses and a beanie) was great and very helpful. He answered all our questions and made our drinks exactly how we wanted them. Unfortunately the second time we came, we were served by an older lady with short hair who tried to convince me that the way I wanted my drink made wouldn t taste good, despite the fact that I had gotten this drink made that way the last time we visited (the day before). I wanted a dirty chai with a shot of caramel and was told that chai s are only made with vanilla . We proceeded to keep asking it to be made how I wanted it (with caramel) and kept being told I don t think you re going to like that . At that point we decided to not get any drinks and only get baked goods. I have to say this cafe is great and the food is great but just this ONE lady makes me not want to go back into this cafe ever again. It s one thing to make suggestions to help your customers get a drink they will like and enjoy, and I appreciate that, but when a customer hears your suggestion, says no, and asks for their original order, it s rude to continue insisting they don t know what they want or that their drink won t taste good.
Service is terrible hardly get noticed when you sit in unless you go to counter
so cute and respectful staff, also love vibe of this coffee shop
My wife and I stopped by here for a late morning coffee and snack. I had the carrot cake, which was moist and flavourful. My wife had the baked almond croissant: very tasty. Our server took the time to answer all of our questions and explain the products to us. Overall a very pleasant experience. Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free bread for the sandwiches and milk alternatives for the coffee.
Delicious food and drinks, unique desserts, and warm and friendly staff. Heavenly Cafe is a true gem!
Cute small cafe with lots of pastry and drink options. The crepes were really good as was the service!
Excellent cortado, very nice pastries. Made a morning visit a ritual while staying across the street. If you like good coffee, well worth trying.
You MUST try their macaroons. The best macaroon Ive had in a while!
European inspired, Paris themed decorations, and exquisite desserts selections, perfectly prepared drinks are definitely part of the experience when you visit this cafe. Don t miss it when in Collingwood, especially in the winter after spending wonderful time at nearby Blue Mountain ski hills.
Great food, great staff. Took the time to understand my quest and delivered as promised.
Whenever we go here its always wonderful!!! Great food, Atmosphere and Service!! Food
One of the best pastry shop s I have ever been too. The product is as beautiful as it is delicious. The cherry on top is the fabulous coffee. I would drive from Toronto all the way to Collingwood for the cinnamon buns! If you are in the area you have to come and try out Heavenly Cafe! Food : 5/5
Amazing coffee! We ordered the latte macchiato and banana bread. The service was great and the vibe is warm and cozy!
we stopped in for a quick snack before heading back downtown. we tried the blueberry cheese danish, it was well balanced between blueberry and cheese and the pastry crust was light. the mocha latte was delicious too. very cute atmosphere w delicious pasteries and lovely staff :)
Was heavenly...! No other words to describe.
Great cafe. Went for a cake. It was amazing (little pricey) but awesome.
Very nice atmosphere, service was excellent, food and beverage was also very good. Very reasonable priced, a great spot to visit if you are in the area
Where to begin everything is lacking at this cafe. Food is quasi-French and lacking in flavour, quality, and presentation. Honestly some of the most bland and unappealing croissants and pastries I ve ever eaten. Certainly a far cry from actual Parisienne patisserie. Somehow the service is even worse. Food comes out half warmed with freezing cold blocks of cheese and the waiters are inattentive. Most of all, for the portions of food, the prices are exorbitant. 13$ for a ham and cheese croissant the size of a tennis ball is laughable. Save your money and time and avoid this place at all costs. Horrible.
Absolutely amazing cakes! I did a special order of a Black Forest Cake for my Mums 80th birthday. They asked me what time we would be eating it to be sure that they finished it at the last possible minute to be sure that the whipped cream was as fresh as possible. The cake was impossibly light and fresh and it was covered beautifully in fresh whipped cream. I highly recommend anything from the Heavenly Cafe!
The food is simply amazing! Very cute little place and friendly staff.
Ordered a customized birthday cake for my husband who has a sweet tooth for anything caramel, and it delivered!
My husband and I tried this cafe on a whim and I am so thrilled we did! Everything is so delectable and well put together. The staff are so kind and courteous. Pricing is fair, portions are generous, flavours are so rich and keep you wanting more! Ive saved this cafe as my top favourite eateries. I will definitely be returning. Also, I love the little shop and displays that theyve decorated with. Just an absolute gem of a place! Highly recommended! Side comment: the deserts and pastries are so beautifully crafted! An absolute work of art! Compliments to the pastry chef! Parking: Lots of parking
If you have not tried the goodies here you are definitely missing out!! The mousse cakes are absolute works of art and the croissant are so light and flaky!!!! You need to eat here!!!
I order my first flat white coffee and I like it so much! Also, I regret I didn t buy more almond croissants it s mega amazing! Staff and everything here really makes me feel I am at the heaven!
Small things matter Small coffee, small croup of people from small Country, small wine, small snacks, small chocolate, small chat And, when you getting home then you think, it s not small, it is a Massive In short, I love this place You should go and check it out
Just left from having crepes and husband had ham and cheese croissant terribly disappointed with sandwich nothing on it no butter no mustard as for meat you needed to look hard to find it crepes were OK I ate all mine but Ive definitely had better ...in my opinion the presentation was beautiful unfortunately the food was OK at best and value for money not there we wont make the drive to Collingwood again for this ..
The cafe was cozy and they had a lot of options for cake, cookies, . We got a chocolate mousse and a tiramisu for 18$ which I think is expensive.
Weve visited this place countless times and have never been disappointed. The food and service are consistently excellent, making it suitable for any occasion.
Quick stop. Great cappuccino and desert.
This place is pretty expensive, even by Toronto standards. $8 lattes and $4 for a plain croissant? Yikes.
They have nice hot chocolate, but I will not come again. I came in with my small dog on a really cold day, ordered my drinks to go (hence no plans to stay inside for long), but the old lady behind the counter told me to take my dog out. Where do they think they are, Toronto? Most places in Simcoe County let you bring your dog when ordering takeout.
Great, quick breakfast / coffee snack
A cool and beautiful cafe with all kinds of cakes and sweets along with coffee try it
Delicious food. I really enjoyed the Coccochino. Fast and friendly service.
The coffee and the food were very good, but the service was mind bogglingly slow.
I m gonna start this review by stating, I have worked in the restaurant/service industry for several years. When it gets busy, you should notify your customers if their meal will take a little longer. Also why does it take 35 minutes to make a cold ham and cheese croissant (pre-made anyways) the total also came up to 35$ for two, honestly pathetic, croissants and one beverage. Service was abysmal, food was just devastating compared to the quality of dessert.
We came across this café spontaneously. The coffee tasted really good and the pastries we ordered with the coffee were unrivaled in the region. The tastefully furnished café rounded off the visit.
We wanted to to take my mom for special Afternoon Tea but couldn t on Mothers Day but Heli made a special exception for us on the long weekend. And it was simply AMAZING!! If you get a chance to reserve this here, DO IT! It s well worth the cost. We enjoyed it thoroughly and had to bring a lot of of the treats home in a take away box as there was so much!
Wonderful everything!
I never complain but sadly I did today. I ordered the white pearl cake for my moms 75th Bday, very little cake was touched as it was not a very good cake. I would have never put this review but when I called this morning I very pleasantly told the owner that the cake was not what I had expected. The owners response was very rude and insulting. The owner asked me if I knew how much a pound of butter cost and that 40 dollars is not a lot for a cake I explained that it was for me as Im sure it is for many others who live on a budget but I just wanted to do something special for my 75 year old mother. I strongly recommend people go to somewhere like the super store where they will receive a much better tasting cake and very friendly service.
We purchased a cake that unfortunately was not very good. The cakes look great but the cake seemed stale and the icing had no taste at all. In future I will stick to a store bought cake, or different bakery.
Pretty good food but insanely expensive
Simply Amazing
Nice place.
Super cute cafe with an amazingly talented baker, I would highly recommend the cardamom buns
We went there today for breakfast for the first time : the food did not seem that good but the main thing for us was the attitude of owners or waiters ! They do Not deserve the Eiffel Tower as an image at their entrance door as they do Not have the French finesse and surely Not the savoir-être. They may feel they are too good for people... But nothing is permanent, they already forgot we went thru 2 year Covid where business was dying... Surely NOT heavenly !!!
Got a birthday cake for my kids, the staffs are very helpful and nice, the cake is very delicious. My kids love it so much. Thank you
Charged me for a meal that wasn t available. Asked me to select a different item and they would refund the difference in cash. After they brought the meal, they did not provide any refund despite me asking twice. Ultimately I paid for something I did not receive. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Lovely people. Very kind. Good food and atmosphere.
Perfect spot.... Pet friendly patio.. great service, great coffee - must try their delicious almond croissants
Got a birthday cake and a few other thigs, everything was delicious!
Breakfast croissant was good but plain. Service was slow. Atmosphere was nice.
Nice little place that had some good desserts. I got a couple cakes for my wifes birthday. The cakes were available and tasted pretty good. I do not think they are made on site but the quality was fairly good. They have coffee and other goods there to eat in our take out. Nice little place to have lunch and get a dessert. I would go back. Dietary restrictions: They seem to have multiple options for a variety of dietary needs, I would suggest asking before ordering.
My husband and I stopped here on our way back from running errands. The baked goods and espresso were absolutely wonderful. The owner and the staff were so friendly. They have a good size menu with lots of variety. Adorably decorated.
Wonderful food, great service, friendly staff and moderate cost. Id go back again.
Loved the decor, atmosphere, service and food, only 10 minutes away from Blue Mountain. Sadly they dont offer crepes but everything else on the menu was good.
We are in love with this cafe, the keywords are heavenly, chocolate, and coffee! As we walked in, we were immediately immersed in the gentle fragrant of coffee and pastries Visually, we saw all the varieties of pastries, as well as artsy decorations, signs, and furnitures put together us somewhere in Paris We were there only for coffee/tea and desserts this time, everything was excellent. - Hazelnut chocolate mousse - Mocha, creamy earl gray There was gentle European music in the background Service from the counter staff and waitress were friendly, courteous, and attentive Washrooms: 2 unisex, clean, 4/5 Tip: we noticed someone posted afternoon tea and we inquired, the manager said they are available on demand but reservations required so they can prepare ahead
This bakery went downhill big time. We used to love it,their croissants were the best but sadly not anymore. If you want stale almond croissants for 6 dollars each ,this is the place to go !!@
Stopped by this cafe while waiting for the car to charge. Ordered takeout for the ham and bacon croissant to eat in the car (2min walk) and asked for them to be warmed. The inside was still cold while the outside was warm. Paid $28 including tax for them. Overpriced and don t even know how to properly warm their food items
Everything about heavenly cafe is always delicious
Top quality baked goods and light meals.
Delicious Food, excellent staff :)
Coffee was great. The space itself could use the team from Project Bakeover to come in a help them become more organized. De humidifier on the floor infront of a leaking cooler, cart with coffee stir sticks etc, has chemical cleaners underneath, chocolate counter is a storage area and the bathrooms are messy and I couldn t locate a lock on the door. I don t want to see the place that the food is baked in. I share this because I think this place could be great if the owner looked at it through the eyes of a customer. One person was working the counter and others were in the back coming and going while there was a line up. The woman working shared that she was on her own and apologized. Maybe I ve watched too many makeover shows. Like I said, coffee tasted great. It wouldn t cost money to organize.
Oh my goodness this place is DIVINE! The staff are the loveliest people who make genuine efforts to interact with customers. The desserts are fantastic and they have a great variety of sandwiches and drinks as well. An absolute must-go in Collingwood!
Oh my gosh.... if you are EVER in Collingwood, Ontario, and you have even a remote interest in quality , scrumptious baked goods... this IS your must stop shop. Its the kind of bakery... that when you simply look at the delicious items in the showcase... you can feel those calories jumping on your thighs... ..stop in... you deserve a treat today.
The experience at Heavenly Cafe was abysmal and I didnt even try any of the food as the service is atrocious. My girlfriend had to walk up and ask the waiter 2 times to grab his attention as we were waiting to be seated for around 30 minutes. NO ONE even tried to make eye contact or greet/acknowledge that we were there. This has been the worst experience we have ever had at a cafe. So much so that I am writing this review. Very disappointing as the food actually looked good in the photos. Service 0/5 Food ?/5 Atmosphere 3/5 (Actually it was pleasant standing and waiting for service in this place surprisingly)
Great service and food as always.
Very nice small business, with great sweets and treats. Located right next to the Tesla superchargers.
Picked up two birthday cakes, a lemon coconut and chocolate. Both outstanding deserts, and excellent service.
This will be by new place in Collingwood. Great atmosphere, food and latte was fantastic Food
loved the place. A cozy cute plac with lovely and sweet staff
Service was amazing and friendly. Cafe is cute. Espresso/latte were very very strong and a little burnt. Nice to have an independent coffee shop though.
Popped in for lunch and had a great experience. Food was great and so many treat options. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area. Food
Best Cafe in Collingwood! Highly recommended. Delicious cakes and sandwiches
Excellent service, very friendly staff and great food! Amazing pastries, cakes and snacks as well. Can t ask for much more.
Nice place for a sandwich or a dessert while in Collingwood, but go elsewhere for afternoon tea though not much on it, sandwiches very small not many, desserts not great and there is an 18%gratuity charge on top of the price of afternoon tea per person.
Loved this little treat spot during our visit for a weekend. The lady behund the counter was delightful and very friendly. I enjoy Dufflet cakes and they carry a great selection. We ordered 4 mini cakes and they were so fresh, very happy with the quality. Will definitely be visiting if in the area again.
Chocolate: Belgian Approuved !! It was just delicious !!!! I recommend the Tuna Cramberry sandwiches
Very unique atmosphere, great presentation. BUT the manager was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Couldnt get proper description for anything. it was like pulling teeth for information.
This place is one of the prettiest cafes I have seen! The ambience is lovely I came just to pick up a few pastries but I almost thought to sit down for a cup of coffee:) I took two pastries- milk chocolate pastry and dark chocolate pastry. The dark chocolate wasnt great at all. The texture was super dense almost made me thinking if its stale. The taste wasnt good too. I love dark chocolate pastries and I feel they really need work on that one. Milk chocolate pastry on the other hand was lovely!! Fresh, light and super moist! Love it
Went there on my birthday after reading the reviews. Not disappointed one bit. Loved every single thing I had. The croissant sandwich was superb. Same for the rice soup and the hot chocolate was fantastic
Short staffed so a bit of a wait but wow, yummy banana bread, lemon pound cake, and molasses cookies.
Had the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate to die for we will be back
Such a beautiful cozy café! Perfect place to stop in and hang out with food, coffee and dessert. Had a small cake and mocha while reading my book. Loved the vibe!
Authentic crepes tasted like Paris !!! Our group left very satisfied.
Yum yum is all I can say.
They dont serve traditional breakfast anymore. What a disappointment. However the stuffed croissants were very good.
A place like in Paris. Very tasty, not overly sweet.
I would rate this place a 0 if I could. We came to Collingwood on a girls trip to the spa across the street and this cafe came highly recommended. When we entered we seen a group seated and another standing at the cash lined up. Half of us joined the line and the other went to save some seats. We missed the sign to wait to be seated and realized after that it was written very small on a chalk board. Does not grab attention An elderly woman who worked there came and made a huge scene since I grabbed extra chairs from an open table so my group could sit together. It s certainly fine they don t allow that but the way she approached me was extremely rude and the fact that she made it a scene for everyone else to just stare was uncomfortable looks like if you re a minority or out of towner you are clearly not welcomed. The service was absolutely terrible. Would never go to a place that disrespects anyone.
UPDATE: I had to respond to the comedic unprofessional response I got from the owner. Rude staff and based on your reviews it seems Im not alone! Was trying not the be so blunt, however Ill reciprocate the favour. There was long lineup next the the counter, some of us lined up, as the others sad down. We move two chairs closer to seat our group of six- I believe thats what youre referring to as moving furniture. Sad to hear that this is the owner who treated us this way. Again, it was busy, no staff greeted us and we missed a small sign- she couldve addressed us politely. ***The group of people in front of us sat themselves, we followed and did the same and were ridiculed for it but not them*** She came at us aggressively yelling we cant move the chairs and she doesnt seat large parties like us. We apologized and sat at two different tables. You couldve imagined how awkward it was being yelled at in front of the entire cafe, she was clearly trying to create a spectacle. Two lovely ladies sitting next to us even offered their chairs too. Of course with a bad taste in our mouth, my sister didnt order anything. Yet the rest of us did order a food/drinks. The woman brought out our food and had the nerve to yell NOT ALL OF YOU ARE EATING?! And walked away. In Toronto, a cafe you normally purchase your food then have a seat. Thought it was the same here, if youre travelling from the city DONT visit this place, unless you look like a local! To top it off we went to dinner later that evening and were recognized by several people saying Oh hey! You were the ladies from this morning at the cafe how embarrassing! ********** Was visiting a spa in the neighbourhood and this was highly requested however it did not live up to that expectation. An extremely rude elderly woman was not pleasant, she made it very apparent to address us in front of the entire cafe. We werent sure if we would line up to order or sit down. Unfortunately we missed the small sign at the front. However, we couldve been greeted differently. Clearly if you are from out of town you are not welcomed or treated the same as their regulars. Sad to say I wouldnt visit this cafe again, after the terrible service.
Food was great to bad the service is NOT! elderly woman treated me and my family horribly, very insulting and frustrating to be pointed out and yelled at. There was NO inside voice and resumed to raise her voice at us ... definitely made a scene for everyone to noticed that by moving 2 chairs It is greatly frowned upon.... And she continued to BULLY us by calling out that not everyone ate when it was 1/6 people that came even after they were so rude... made us feel so unwelcomed... sadly that this is the only cafe near by ... I DO NOT recommend this place if you are from an outside town.
Visiting Collingwood and checking out coffee shops. This is by FAR the best one. The employees were amazing and so nice. The food was heaven. Lattes were the best weve had in ages. 10/10 will be back tomorrow!!!
Coffee was good but the food was okay. Staff was pleasant but the manager was dismissive and rude.
Enjoyed a very nice coffee. The food was okay. Staff were very kind and sweet. The owner/manager was bizarrely condescending to several customers, including us. Not sure what prompted that - room for improvement.
Very good! The bacon, cheese and tomato croissant is perfect for a midday meal. For dessert, a very chocolatey brownie.
Delicious!!!
Amazing French Toast
Amazing place
Cafe with amazingly crafted beverages and atmosphere! Great dessert selection. Amazing and courteous staff. Parking: Parking available in front of the building
Lovely cafe. Great place for a lovely lunch and treat. Staff is very friendly and it was an overall amazing experience.
Great cafe. Lots to offer. Fast and friendly.
Sat in establishment for 10 minutes staff walked right by us as if we did not exist but rushed over to clear and sit another table and take their order. Poor service.
What a nice, cozy and friendly place to come for a treat and coffee!! Everything was really nice . A little gem!!
Sandwiches , cakes and pastries, all very nice , but expensive . The Manager is very impolite , my wife ordered coffee with our sandwiches and was asked what She would like and she responded with she would like in her coffee , she was then told you can fix it your self on the side, (why did she ask in the first place ) the cup was filled and my wife asked can I get another cup and the owners response was why ! Is this the way you treat your customers? Not happy with your etiquette.
Wouldn t even give it a 1 star. Absolutely terrible customer service, was there with my sister today, none of the 5 staff that was on the floor and behind the counter acknowledged us at all, didn t say hello or have you been helped. We were standing there for 10 minutes and they were helping other customers that came in after us and just ignored us the whole time. We left after 15 minutes, horrible would not recommend this place.
Heavenly Cafe is heavenly indeed! Delicious sandwiches, tuna melt, brie and apple in croissant, grilled cheese... absolute perfection! Superb pastries, tarts from Rahier are.. heavenly :-) and to top it all, lovely atmosphere, and great service! Thanks a lot! We truly enjoyed our visit!
Very good ambience. Dessert was great.
Great croissants and coffee
Sorry for the 3 stars but I dont know if its the town or what but I vacationed there last week and yourll didnt open till 10 pm, and I was like what coffee shop open 10pm. Other than that the food is delightful and the staff is super friendly.
Found this place by accident when we had to detour to a different Tesla supercharger. Wonderful food and friendly staff, a great place to visit while waiting the 20 minutes to charge.
The owner was such a great person to work with on our wedding cake, in spite of a short timeline and specific requests of my bride. Heli delivered an amazing cake that was a work of art and quickly made short work of by the guests because it was so delicious. Thank you Heli for your impressive creations and dedication to great customer service.
Cold coffee, poor service and stale croissant. All the staff there look angry and bitter at everyone. Seriously in the wrong industry for this attitude. $9 plus an expected gratuity for a drop coffee and croissant ! Really ? To make things worse, they don t let anyone sit at particular tables, they were almost empty and denied me a decent size table and put my in a dodgy corner. Never again.
Quite an impressive array of delectable French desserts. We had the Degas which is a dark chocolate lovers Delight!
Definitely one of the best almond croissant and hot chocolate ive ever had!
Ive always wanted to stop by Heavenly Cafe in Collingwood, as my family has a cottage near by. I was overwhelmed by the wode range of deliciois desserts to choose from. They had a couple of sandwiches to choose from and though they looked very simple, the actual croissant itself was buttery and crispy. The buttertarts are from Giffens and definitely the best in the area. Definitely check this place out for lumch and coffee/dessert. I will be back to try more .
They have a weird business model. $12 for a sandwich that you dont get to order. You just get to pick from what they feel like making that day from the fridge. For $12, they wont even bother making me a sandwich to order. If I want to deal with the you eat what I make attitude, I would just go eat at my moms.
Definitely overrated. Food seemed like it had been made the day before, drinks are bland and does not serve customers in a timely manner. This cafe wont survive if they have their business in bigger and more competitive cities like the GTA.
Super friendly staff, food was delicious and the staff was quick despite being very busy. Will definitely be back!
Friendly and very good Noshes
Second time here. Wanted a sandwich and a slice of cheesecake. I was told we only sell whole cheesecakes. I said fine I ll take the whole cheesecake I was then told that even though we were having a sandwich and a coffee, there would be a plate charge for the (probably $40) cheesecake I wanted to purchase!! Very rude older lady. Not sure how this is good business. Will never go back.
I ordered a 60th birthday cake for my husband from Heavenly Cafe only days before the party. I usually make my own cakes but this time did not have time due to the 40 people attending. I have bought birthday cakes before, so was very leery about purchasing one. Surprise! I will now never make another birthday cake again, Heavenly Café ROCKED it!!! It was a square double layer vanilla cake with a lovely raspberry filling between the layers, creamy vanilla icing and fresh raspberries all over the top. It was absolutely delicious, moist, and light. This is the BEST cake I have ever bought. All of our guests raved about how delicious it was, and many asked for second pieces. Thank you Heavenly Cafe for making our 60th birthday party for Paul so special!
This little cafe is amazing. We picked up a cake for a birthday party, and not only was the customer service top notch, but the cake was delicious. The atmosphere of the cafe is also amazing, we will definitely be back to sit down and enjoy a coffee.
Love this cafe off of highway 26. Stopped for a hot chocolate and a snack. Hot chocolate was delicious. Coconut macaroon also amazing. Wide variety of treats available. Staff are very friendly. Place is very cozy to hang out with friends. Definitely recommend it.
Highly recommend. Everything is beautiful in here.
Truly amazing! Instead of a wedding cake, we ordered small individual cakes of assorted flavours. The guests loved it and tasted incredible. We were able to taste cakes we normally wouldn t and everyone was able to try a bit of everything. Thank you to the wonderful staff!
It is a Collingwood landmark for us! Been coming here for over 5 years and it is my wife s favorite cafe in Collingwood. Butter croissant are a must to try! The owner and staff are very friendly. This is a place to relax and enjoy a treat with your Coffe and have good conversations. Parking: Lots of parking
Cozy small corner store with promising brunches!
You walk in and it smells like a typical French bakery which made me so happy! The coffee is good, smooth and not bitter but not strong enough for my taste. The pastries my parents got were delicious looking. My mom got a cinnamon roll, she said it tasted like a cross between a croissant and a Danish. She really enjoyed it Also shout out to the lady behind the counter (unfortunately I didnt get her name) but she was super sweet
Lovely French themed cafe with amazing coffee & pastries. Just discovered this place yesterday and will already be going back today! They also offer light bites in way of sandwiches, etc. Everything looks delicious!
Cappuccino was very good, chocolate croissant the best I have had in many years! Friendly, efficient staff A must visit when in Collingwood
Lovely spot, great bake goods especially the Mocha torte, coffee a bit bitter!
Very welcoming atmosphere and amazing service
Very cute little cafe. Highly recommend the Croque Monsieur. One of the best Ive ever had! Really great chocolate chip cookies too.
Had a tuna melt and pumpkin tart for lunch. Both were delicious! I will definitely be back. All the desserts looked INCREDIBLE!! The staff were wonderful as well.
One of the best cafes in town! Loved everything! Pastries are fresh and tasty! Staffs are friendly and served the food quickly! The owner bakes some pastries herself and we loved the chocolate croissant!
Waited for a 20 mins today to finally place order ..then lady couldnt figure out HOW to input it into computer..didnt even let me know when I finally asked her whats wrong .she did not say anything she couldnt figure it out..then when asked how long our meal would be ..saidan hour so we left. Customer service not great and treated customers like dont exist. Sad .at least acknowledge the person waiting. Be kind
Very busy place... Slow in servicing customers
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend!
Food was good but portion is a bit too small.
One of the best Hot Chocolates ive ever had, And ive had many. Handmade Rich and Creamy with a perfect taste. Lovely folks working here too
The atmosphere and food were amazing
Well managed cafe for coffee, tea, and treats, the environment not unlike a Viennese Cafe. Busy. Not a place you feel comfortable to sit for a spell with a computer or book. More for a chat with a friend. Efficient and friendly service. Prices reasonable. We had coffee, tea and two treats (brownies and pecan butter tart, both vegan). Washroom clean. Sufficient parking.
Full, i mean full of people. We went in and out as fast as we could. Food was excellent.
What an amazing place. We cannot travel to Paris but Collinwood has a gem named Heavely Cafe. Amazing European vibe, French recipes and especially a Crique Monsier to die for. My personal personal favorite cafe ever.
The best cake in town.
Just dropped in for a latte and croissant as I was passing through. Wonderful staff and food. Will be back!
They bake by their heart. I really enjoyed being there. Their cakes are great and more than that, they are hospitable people. They told us about attractions around there and even searched for it to exactly tell how to get there. I really recommend their cakes and tiny chocolates. Definitely come back here one day.
Great place to go if you want to stand by the entrance & be ignored. We didn t stick around to try the food, looked okay I guess.
