Classic breakfasts along with steaks, wines & upscale bistro fare are delivered in an artsy space.
We were greeted and seated by April; in our opinion she set the tone for our visit and late luncheon. She readily suggested any of the soups and the daily special: a Reuben. We’re glad we took her advice! I could go on about the sweet dressing against the sour bite of the slaw, the perfect bread, and the hefty portion of meat…but suffice it to say, it was a superb sandwich, and that both soups we tried (I had the Mulligatawny, husband had the potato Stilton) were so hearty and flavourful we wanted to lick the bowls! We also taste-tested the Caesar salad and mushroom crostini (which would have made the grade at any upscale spot) for a portion of the price! Two house-made desserts (carrot cake and 4 layer chocolate cake) that were garnished with REAL whipped cream - YES! real whipped cream, completed our meal. Conclusions: you won’t leave hungry as portions are generous. You will enjoy home-cooked favourites done to perfection. You will enjoy the ambience (historic exposed brick and tin ceilings) and easy vibe that comes from growing a business for 38 years in the same spot and knowing your customers. You will also pay a fair price. And I’m betting you’ll be back.
Jerk chicken mango salad was worth the drive. My Mother had clam chowder and salmon salad and said both were extremely good. Our Waitress was super friendly and lovely and the local artwork displayed is fun Will definitely be back
Came in for lunch, portions were big enough for supper. I had the Montreal smoked meat with a side of potato leak and Stilton soup. My wife had the chicken club pita. The soup was amazing, next time I’ll just have a bowl of that. Smoke meat was piled high and came with a really nice Dijon. My wife’s chicken club was also real good, with two chicken breast making it a very filling meal. Will definitely come back to try the dinner menu.
A beautiful local café with a very artsy ambiance. Amazing food with a wide range of food options. The owner and employees are very warm and welcoming. Perfect place for a Sunday breakfast 🩷
Really cute space with a ton of art (that’s also for sale) from what I’m thinking made by local artists. The service was great and very attentive. Very modern day menu with new dishes that I now wish I would have been ballsy enough to try. The quesadilla that I did get was huge portion wise. I’m glad that my girlfriend and I decided to share because boy that would have been A LOT of food. For the prices you definitely are getting your money’s worth. It was also stuffed and DELICIOUS! The steak for protein was definitely the way to go! The Caesar salad was good too but would be better with bacon bits (personal preference) Will be going back if heading to collingwood in the future! 9/10!
Stopped for lunch today.... so delicious. Very nice place with great food and service. I highly recommend the asparagus wrap and ceaser salad
I came in on a rainy day to Collingwood trying to find a privately owned place to have a bite and this is the place! I ordered the BLT with home fries and it was probably the best sandwich I have ever eaten in a long time.
OMG! Duncan’s cafe is phenomenal. We had the huevos rancheros and the veggie delight and I must say it was the best breakfast I have ever had. The vegetables were fresh, flavourful and plentiful. Thick slices of the mushroom, well cooked asparagus, grilled tomatoes… fantastic. Freshly squeezed orange juice and the coffee was excellent. Great service and personality. Highly recommend.
Food was disgusting, potatoes were old and the servers kept saying they were fresh, made today when they had a grey tone they gave us a second batch of the same potatoes. Got the eggs benedict was the worst one I ve ever had. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent breakfast and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere.
Amazing hot and creamy soup. Thick !n mushroom was fantastic. Butternut was very good too. Ruben had tons of meet and everything was fresh. Lovely decor well lit. Love this place will be back in the winter apres ski! Check it out
Potatoes that came with sandwiches were bland. The sandwiches were mediocre and well over priced.
Great breakfast place. Small town, friendly atmosphere!
Duncans remains consistent with food quality, & taste. The service and atmosphere is always pleasant. Their Mulligatawny soup & Thai Pork rolls, are my all time favorites. If you are ever in Collingwood, be sure to stop by Duncans, grab a a tasty bite and say hello to Jessica Terry & Shelley.
Amazing food and amazing staff.
Ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and to my horror found a dead cockroach in my juice! I did not make a scene, just quietly mentioned it to the waitress. Then I ordered a Western sandwich, but instead the waitress brought a western omelette. I told her it was wrong, but she argue with me and did not offer to replace the order. Just warning for the others, the place is filthy and it s harbouring pests. Stay away!
Great breakfast options
Two delicious brunches in a row! Superb eggs benny, and freshly squeezed orange juice for the Mimosa!
Great service food was good, and the atmosphere was trendy. Would recommend and go back.
Stopped for a late lunch on Saturday and we ate outside. The chicken and leek crepes are delicious and the beer was good too! Food was fresh and delicious. Great little place, I would recommend it highly. Dietary restrictions: Staff were happy to check with the kitchen about our individual needs, and cater for us too.
Great place in downtown Collingwood! Super friendly and attentive waitstaff. I had the veggie breakfast and the sautéed portobellos were amazing. Highly recommend!
I was eating, laughing and talking to my friend this morning at an outdoor table. Foolishly, all at the same time. I began choking on a piece of toast when immediately someone began slapping my back until I coughed it up. Shelly, our server, was at her post. A large tip didnt seem enough-so let me thank her publicly, and the management for hiring such wonderful people.
Food was good, you get exactly what u ordered. Very reasonably priced. Our server was Lauren and her service was exceptional..despite it being a full house!
Terrible service. Waited at the door for 15 minutes without acknowledgement, there were 6 other people behind us also waiting, we left. Ive been before in the past, mediocre food. Dont waste your time.
Worst place ever in terms of service. Refused to take us in came as adults and one 3 year old child to get some coffee , baked goods and get out of the rain. turned away as they want to get someone spending more . Did not expect this from any coffee shop establishment. Go across the road to Brightside Deli. Much nicer people.
Great food, to die for meat and excellent service. Highly recommend the soup and the chicken crepe.
Very good breakfast, I was there just before they opened. The waitress allowed me in even though they were still setting up. Standard breakfast offering but really fresh and tasty and great coffee. Food
Fantastic food and fantastic customer service! We recently (June 2024) held a 2 day corporate retreat in The Blue Mountains where we hired Duncans Cafe to cater the breakfast and lunch! I am so glad I did. They were great to work with even with last minute adjustments. Great quantities! The salmon wrap for lunch was so tasty! The breakfast egg wraps were also delicious. Thank you! Vegetarian options: Duncans was extremely flexible in making sure we had vegetarian options for every meal.
Went to Duncan s cafe for lunch and it was fantastic! The food, atmosphere and service is excellent. They take allergies such as celiac seriously which we really appreciated. Highly recommend it! Dietary restrictions: Excellent with Celiac
Staff is always warm and welcoming. Service is always delightful.
What a gem! Service was great! We enjoyed the breakfast menu. Large portions with leftovers to take home.
Everyone was so friendly! We didnt realize until after that we finished our meal right before closing but not one person made us feel like we needed to hurry and leave. My companions left the decisions to our server for what food to order and they were so extremely happy with their food. I chose the mango salad and wow, so amazing!! Next time driving through this will be our stop.
It was a wonderful experience, food, attention, atmosphere, everything was perfect, excellent guys!!! Thanks Tyler and kasia
Loved my raspberry muffin and chai latte. Great atmosphere
Duncans is a quaint lil Cafe with great food and amazing service!
Great meal made with passion and care.
The location of my first date with my partner. The food is really good and exceeded my expectations. Good selection of craft beer and wine. Staff is amazing.
Extremely rude staff ,we didn t feel welcome at all got a lot of stares , we felt uncomfortable and talked down by the owner telling us to calm down and how inconvenient it was for them to accommodate 10 people asking us not to move tables to sit together . I don t think these people have ever seen different ethnicities of people or religion, we walked out , terrible . There s many other friendly and better breakfast places .
We stopped here for a late breakfast during a week long road trip from Napanne to Wasaga Beach. Best Breakfast the whole trip! Over easy eggs done perfectly, hash brown roasted potatoes...crispy on outside, soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned, delish bacon, ham & sour dough toast. Very tasty cappacino and chai tea latte with complimentary chocolate treat on the side Great Service & Atmosphere. Compliments to all your staff! Thanks for a great start to our day during our trip Michele & Brad~
Food was okay, service was beyond excellent.
Excellent staff, amazing ladies & Terry (the old guy), and amazing food! Couldn t recommend this place more if you love a good atmosphere and tasty homemade soup :)
Table of 6 went here for lunch on Sunday. The food was good and prepared quick. The waitress we had was unpleasant and had a poor attitude.
Good menu, good prices, lovely staff. Great place to stop for breakfast.
Good
Best eggs Benny ever. Staff is delightful !! Special thanks to Heather. You are awesome!
The food is really good and this place has a fun and busy vibe, we regularly have breakfast or lunch at Duncans when we are in Collingwood. The only negative was no coffee refill, weird....
I never write reviews but this is worth a review! Came in for a late lunch after a weekend of camping and adventuring in the area. The butternut squash soup and salmon wrap is excellent! Staff are friendly and welcoming. A wonderful vibe, would definitely come again! Thank you Duncans Cafe for a delicious meal before a long drive home!
What can I say I liked my platter clean. Service was outstanding. Will return if ever in the area
Four of us were excited about sharing lunch together today at Duncan s. Unfortunately we didn t enjoy that experience. After waiting for an hour for our lunch to be served (while watching all the patrons around us who arrived after us receive their meals) we realized that perhaps our order got lost. The server reassured us that we would soon get our meals but they never appeared. We told the server we decided to leave and she smiled and said ok. No apology was offered nor any explanation. We then offered to pay for our beverages and another server said don t worry about it with a tone of indifference. Again, no apology was given for not receiving our meal. We would have been much more compassionate and understanding if the staff had provided us with an explanation and apology for the slow service. Since we were treated with total indifference I decided to share our poor experience.
An amazing meal, I had the ceaser Salad and my girlfriend had the chicken breast wrap!!! Awesome!!! Heather was our server and we cannot wait to go again, highly recommend, wow, thank you
Staff was great.food, good. I might have seen a bug crawling where I was seated but won t share what it resembled. Pest control would be a good idea.
Lovely cafe in Collingwood, perfect brunch spot near Blue Mountain. I left my bag behind, didnt even realize, and the host ran after me on the street to ensure I had it. Will be back, thank you.
The Chicken and Leek Crepes are absolutely delicious!! Great service, great atmosphere- a must try if youre in Collingwood.
Best poutine I have ever had. Heather the waiter was so kind and attentive. Blt was great
Phenomenal!
Lunch with family, chicken and leek crepes were delicious, special was a pulled pork quesadilla - it was huge and yummy!
Bad service! Very slow and they did not feel sorry at all. Definitely NOT come again.
Great food and friendly staff!
Great food and super reasonable prices. No credit cards would be only complaint, although clearly signed on front door. As a fellow restaurant owner, I would suggest joining CFIB or Restaurants Canada to get lowest credit card rates. You could raise your prices 3% to cover the CC cost without losing clientele. This is our second time here and we love bringing out if town guests. The Mulligatawny Soup and Seafood chowder are highly recommended.
Duncan s is hands down one of the best breakfast food places we have ever eaten at, the service was as amazing as the food was!! Would recommend and will definitely be going back when we are in the Collingwood area again
Hidden gem. Enjoyed the chicken and leak crepes in white wine sauce. Highly recommend this place. Will be back on our next visit.
It was my first time trying Duncan a cafe, all staff were nice and kind, Sherry was a gem and she took care of us perfectly. Also, I think food quality is to its best, good portion size, fresh ingredient, and the fries are home style. I tried French toast as well, and the warm fruits were really tasty! Highly recommend!
Great find. Jess our server was so nice and fun. We came in Sunday at 11am with 7ppl and they fit us in no problem. Freshly squeezed OJ, lattes and great brekky. No pancakes, but amazing French toast and bacon. Definitely coming back.
What a gem this place is! Absolutely INCREDIBLE food. I had the steak sandwich, and to my surprise there was a full steak between two tasty buns! To top it off, mushrooms, onions, and horseradish mayo sauce. The sandwich was juicy with a natural au jus sauce bursting with every bite. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It has an amazing atmosphere with local artist paintings hung on the walls. A cafe atmosphere with touches of classic diner throughout. The next time I go up to blue mountain Ill be sure to visit this place again.
Very disappointed! The worst cappuccino and americano - both tasted burnt. Home fries had no flavour and were burnt. Poached eggs had a strong taste of vinegar and the omelette was way over done. The only positive was the host greeted you with a big smile and was very friendly. However, when we were leaving and he asked us how our meal was he was told we weren t pleased. His response was did you speak to your waitress and we did. All we got was a $3 discount for the bad coffee and cappuccino!!! Won t be back to this establishment!!!
Absolute gem of a place in Collingwood! Excellent food, amazing customer service and one of the most interesting and fun atmospheres for a cafe/brunch spot. We brunched on their Monte Cristo special of the day and the Classic Breakfast. Both meals were delicious! Our favourite brunch spot when were up in Collingwood for a weekend getaway. Highly recommended!
Been there twice once to get a missing sweater I forgot there. They kept it for me for over a week till I could come back. Just great service! Keep up the good work!
Food is lacking, dry and hardly flavourful, 4 plus rating is questionable or maybe i came on a bad day for the kitchen. .
Duncan was very nice. He is a swell guy and his eggs were good.
Was looking forward to a Beautiful Homemade Beef Vegetable Soup but unfortunately was given a thick and gelatinous stew The taste wasnt special and of course, it wasnt even close to being a soup. Too bad, so disappointed
Came here @11:30am on a Fri, and although our waitress told us that breakfast was over, she mentioned the chef wouldn t mind whipping up something from the breakfast menu My buddy and I both ordered the The Combo from the Classic Breakfast section on the menu, which included 2 eggs any style, bacon, ham or sausage - and included toast and home fries ($10.25) I also ordered a side Greek salad, but unfortunately the salad never came Our waitress apologized and said the salad was ready in the back sitting on the counter, however it was too late as we had already finished our meals. The breakfasts were just ok, nothing special, but can t really complain at $10 we also ordered a tea and a cappuccino, and those were both good (esp the cappuccino) The cafe is located in downtown Collingwood on the main high street amongst a bunch of other cute little stores and restaurants. The interior is cozy with lots of local artwork displayed and for sale 4/5 stars overall. Would recommend and come back again
Great atmosphere and wonderful service.
I never knew orange juice could be creamy and I would like it but here we are. Had a great hangover breakfast here, was perfect before the 2 hour drive home
Nice cafe. Lunch was delicious and the selection of draught was long. Adding to the ambiance, local artwork cover the walls.
Great food, great service, great beverages. Love all the art on the walls, wish I could afford to buy some.
Had the chicken & leek crepes with a house salad & balsamic vinegar Delicious. This time had chicken club sandwich. The others had the steak burrito & chicken club pita w Greek salad.
Cold, gross. Service was good, plates were dirty. Food was cold, order incorrect (but rectified). Home fries cold - cooked but not adequately reheated, so were mealy and gross. Not worth the price point in quality or execution. Decor nice.
Drove past it twice a little hard to find. Stopped for lunch. Had seafood chowder and Montreal smoked meat. Both were great.
The food and coffee was great and the service was good too
Love the Chicken and Leek Crepe!
Very nice staff! Very cute are work! Very fast service!
The first time I visited Duncans I ordered the club sandwich and fries. I wish I could report on other menu items, but I cant because I order the club sandwich every time I go there. I dont want anything else - its that good. Love, love this sandwich. Someday I will try something else. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Great little place.
Great coffee good amount food service was great will come again
Just walking in, you could see how truly unique this diner is. Right off the hop, I notice that everyone is smiling obviously not only because the wait staff are amazing but also because the food is Fabulous! I got the BLT Ceasar Salad that was simply amazing! I was blown away by their take of the traditional ceasar. I also love the fact that Duncans Diner is also an art gallery with canvases on the walls with names and prices. Beautiful!
Only ever had take out. But food is amazing and the ladies who run that place are fantastic
What a feast!! Egg florentine had me stuffed, quite delicious. Great atmosphere inside and service is quick, funny, and nice. Highly recommend.
Absolutely one of the top restaurants to visit in Collingwood.
Solid brunch spot. Get the huevos rancheros surprisingly good. Omelette is great too but not as flavourful. I could probably pass on the French toast next time. Service a bit slow during peak hours but that s to be expected. Such friendly staff.
Amazing home made cuisine. Great service and local beer
Fantastic wait staff! Food was tasty and modestly priced. Enjoyed their patio, which is cozy and shaded. Highly enjoyable experience.
Service was amazing, fair prices, nice patio area to enjoy watching the world go by. Food was just enough, the sandwich was great. Lots of bread options! Would definitely return for lunch.
Food great, service sucked. I never zero tip but when asking for extra napkins our server literally rolled her eyes. Not pleasant. Wouldnt return.
We had a very pleasant breakfast here this morning. The prices are very reasonable. We both enjoyed our meals and will return again perhaps for lunch.
The food was amazing. I had gotten the montreal smoked meat sandwich. My girlfriend had the tuna melt. Me and her both agreed that we would definitely come back 11/10. Our server was awesome, super attentive, I think her name was Jessica. If the older gentleman walking around seating people talking to customers was the owner then good on him. Made us feel welcome. We just wished breakfast was served longer but oh well next time
Every time we come to stay in Collingwood this place is a MUST for brekkie. Once you taste their delicious Eggs Benny (standard or florentine) you will want it again and again. Homemade Hollandaise sauce and eggs done to perfection. Lovely staff! See you next visit!
Was on a girl s birthday weekend with some friends, all celebrating birthdays within about a week from each other to Blue Mountain me and one of the girls decided to stop here for breakfast and it was absolutely amazing!! The mimosas were amazing with the fresh orange juice and the breakfast was good! All the servers were amazing we chatted with multiple and it was amazing! Definitely will come again .
Friendliest service here- servers were all super attentive and accommodating. Loved the art decor inside and the patio is inviting. The food was delicious! The OJ was delicious, and the egg dishes and french toast exceeded expectations. Prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!
Stopped in yesterday for breakfast. Pemeal and eggs, with side sausage and pancakes with peaches and side bacon. Everything was excellent!! Staff were great, excellent service and friendly. Only issues were the omelettes dont come with home fries and the up charge for maple syrup instead of table syrup. None the less, if in the area again would definitely stop in again. Well done.
We ordered smoked salmon eggs benedict and peameal lovers, a coffee and chai latte. We paid a total of 50 including the tip. Nothing special with what we ordered as you see in the picture. It was simple presentation, a little too salty for my taste but i like how the meal was cooked. We went Sunday morning around 10am. The servers were super nice but it was a lot of waiting time for us. Chai latte was great! But overall i find it a bit pricey for the meal but then it is in a tourist destination.
Service was extremely slow. I ordered poached eggs and ham. When it finally came, the eggs were cold. I thought, since I wasnt that hungry anyway, I would take it home, then warm it up when I was more hungry. I asked for takeout box. She didnt return for 10 minutes, then when she did, she took my plate of food. I assumed she was going to box for me. Again, she never returned for several more minutes when she dropped off the bill. I paid her with a tip and asked for my takeout. At this time, she told me she threw my entire breakfast away. Her response was simply, Im bad! This was a waste of 13 dollars and tip for her to throw my entire breakfast in the garbage.
What a great experience. The Chicken and Leek Crepes were amazing and so was the Muligatawny. Ray was very attentive and friendly. Awesome little find for us!
Our team loves ordering Duncans for team meals, meetings, and gatherings! Thank you for providing great and timely service for the community of Collingwood!
I ordered the veggie breakfast because it pointed out the portobello mushroom and then there was 2 strips. Very scabby! I expected a cap at least. All good otherwise I enjoyed it and the staff were friendly. Would recommend.
Awesome place... best breakfast i had in a while!
No waiting, walked right in, but waited for over 10 minutes and our assigned server never showed up. Another group walked after us and got served within a few minutes. Maybe its because were Chinese, but I didnt hesitate and walked right back out. Pathetic service. We went to the Huron Club instead and got top-notch service. Again, their service is pathetic. Edit: To the older gentleman in the front who said, I dont take orders, its not my job. Be more attentive and call our server then. I guess going the extra mile in service is, at most, mediocre here. Edit#2: Also, just because we walked out, you dont have to give us the stink eye El oh El.
Good hosts, great food and amazing art. A great brunch spot to visit. I had the BLT and Virgin mimosa and I highly recommend it.
Homey - great breakfast spot
A great place for lunch or breakfast. Staff is always friendly, menu is diverse, and food is high quality :)
Great place to stay for lunch! Very friendly service and great food! Tried bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Highly recommended.
PLEASE Read Full Post RACIST HOST - TERRY We had seen good reviews for this place online so decided to come here for brunch. I walked in with my 5-year-old and waited in the line at the front door. There were only 2 groups ahead of us who were being seated pretty quickly. At first the host (Terry) seemed friendly; I was excited to be there. He seated the first group down. Then cleaned a few tables and came back to the line to ask the family in front of me how many they said 5. He then looked at me, asked me the same, I said we are 8 and asked he if could accommodate. He muttered That s not happening before breakfast as he continued down the line behind me and then stormed off before I could get clarification. He came back, took the family in front of me to their table and avoided eye contact, I was unable to ask for clarification so I waited. It was at this point that I realized I was the only person of colour in the line-up. Being in disbelief I wanted to wait it out because I was not sure if breakfast ended at 11:30 or 12pm. I was in the line just prior to 11:30am. The host (Terry) proceeded to clean at least 3-4 tables, talked to other staff and customers and avoided coming back. I also noticed there was an entire empty section of tables (at least 6 tables of varying sizes, capable of seating 2-4 people per table), the patio was also completely empty. I wanted to ensure I was not jumping to conclusions. Maybe he had a reason for not being able to accommodate us before breakfast. When he finally walked up to the front again, I politely asked for clarification. I asked, Are you able to accommodate a group of 8? He very rudely said NO! . I asked him why he didn t say that previously? He said I was busy . I proceeded to walk out. My husband and my friend walked in a couple of mins later after seeing me obviously disturbed by the incident. The host -Terry, proceeded to ignore them completely for 10 minutes as well. He seated the people in front of them immediately after walking in and then ignored them while he went outside to clean empty patio tables- which were already clean. He was also seating people in the previously empty section. This incident was particularly disturbing because I had my child with me for the first few mins of my wait in line. This man, Terry obviously made assumptions about us without having spoken to us. He didn t say we would have to wait for a table; he didn t say they were too busy or had reservations, just said NO! . Incredibly upsetting that we still have to experience this type of behaviour. It was abundantly clear our group was turned away/ignored because of the colour of our skin. It ended up working out better for us as our group of 8 went to another restaurant a few mins away (Iron Skillet) where we had amazing service. The staff there made our kids and family feel welcomed! The food was delicious and most importantly they were respectful and kind to us. We will not be back here ever again.
Wanted to take the time to write this 5-Star review because the service and overall experience at Duncan s was exceptional so I feel compelled to spread the word. We loved everything about our lunch outing while visiting Collingwood.
Best diner ever to go in Collingwood amazing service amazing food I recommend to get there breakfast wraps and salsa and the atmosphere is so beautiful and you must get the salsa Kid-friendliness: They are so kind to kids and they are very pleasant
Walked in with 4 adults and 3 kids. We knew it would likely be a wait. When we asked if we could get a table, the gentleman at the door said, Theres no way to fit that many people, he didnt offer a wait time, just no. We walked down the road and had an awesome lunch elsewhere. Upon walking by Duncans afterward, we see 7 ppl with children on their patio eating. Thanks, Duncans Cafe, we were excited to try your restaurant but unfortunately will never return.
Excellent chicken and mango salad. Generous portion for the brie starter.
Went for a quick breakfast. Service was outstanding and absolutely wonderful. Shelly was our waitress and she was very kind and friendly. My French toast order got a little delayed but her apologies and goodwill gesture was really kind and definitely took us by surprise. Wasn t expecting that. Thank you Shelly and the team at Duncan s.
Excellent soups. All home cooked food. Pretty sure we were overcharged. Burgers came with a side (soup) which we were charged $5 extra for. Also charged for extra cheese on burgers which we did not ask for. Otherwise. Was very nice Food
The lunch was very good and the service was quick and efficient! Here is a more recent photo of the menu!
Very good experience this morning at Duncans! Lovely breakfast, generous portions, great and fast service. The breakfast wraps are gigantic! I tried the classic breakfast with sautéed veggies and I was pleased with my choice, the veggies were delicious! The salmon bene was great too!
Smoked Salmon Benedict . Just ok. Not too good not too bad the Hollandese Sauce was a bit soggy and sour If you re a Benny lover . This is not the best one BUT .. The OJ . Was a Hit . A bit pricey.
Our server was honestly the sweetest lady ever. I would go back for sure. Food
Great, homemade food. I had the best crepe ever. Reasonable prices. Great service
Terrible server. Should not be working in the service industry. Awful attitude, the young lady looked like she did not want to be there and did not make us feel welcome. Was heavily told to tip and even told verbatim When you dont tip it comes out of my paycheck. Food is over priced and poorly made. Would never eat here again
Went here for breakfast. Yummy food and friendly staff! Great experience overall.
Delicious eggs Benny and Caesar!
Fast service for classic breakfasts. For those wanting a simple and tasty meal, this is the place. Outside seating also available. Reasonable prices. I recommend.
Really nice place with good breakfast.
All good
Fantastic food and service. Highly recommend this great place! Parking: Free street parking on the weekends.
This place had a great menu. Unique items and familiar favourites. There were five of us there today and everyone really enjoyed their food. Items ordered were the baked Brie, Traditional clubhouse (with turkey), liver and onions, and grilled cheese with potato and leek soup. We would recommend this place and would go back again. Vegetarian options: I m a vegetarian and there were several options available. The baked Brie in phyllo pastry with black raspberries and poached pear was enjoyable.
Great little diner with classic breakfast and amazing sandwiches!! You can build your own or order from their menu. Steak sandwich was deeeelicious. Fat piece of steak cooked to perfection. YUMS!
Went here for lunch. Soup was watery and cool. Butter tart was not real!
Super friendly staff and great environment. We didn t order because we really wanted breakfast and it wasn t mentioned anywhere breakfast ended at 11:30. Service
Best breakfast place I found in Collingwood. Nice ambience, friendly service, and I like their ol fashioned breakfast menu.
Such a local gem of a cafe/diner. We had an amazing Saturday lunch! The sandwiches and wraps are made using real shaved meats and the portions were quite big! They accommodate gluten free easily. This is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat in between shopping on the main street. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free accommodations
Great home cooked meals, tuna melt salad & no bun turkey burger, great presentation! Thank you
Absolutely fabulous! Marie was such a friendly server, beyond diligent. The food was outstanding and was received quickly and hot. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Incredible vibe and friendly service. Beautiful art for sale on the walls! The breakfast was delicious, coffee cup was always full and hot!
Today for my daughter birthday took her and my granddaughter out for egg Benedict Decided to take her to this place My daughter had regular eggs Benedict and I had smoked salmon benefits they both came with home fries The sauce (Hollandaise sauce ) tasted like from packed mix not done in house The home fries were grey and old in taste told our server to make me fresh ones and end up being same ones but Soaked in oil. Disgusting didn t eat them server did see and still charged us for all of it. Very disappointed never again
Fantastic place to go when in Blue Mountain.
Awesome food!! Our breakfast was soo delicious! The ladies that work there are very friendly! I loved the lady that served us! She was friendly, smiling, kind, and so sweet too! The prices are worth the food! My eggs, bacon, toasts, sauciges and fresh pressed juice were very very delicious! I also tried a piece of the breakfast of my husband, french toasts, pea meal and a sip of his hot chocolate and wow! Also delicious! The place is cozy and beautiful with all the arts to look at.
Wonderful cozy place. Casadila was sensational.
Real mom and pop place. Was so good
Went in for lunch with friends. Every meal was delicious and the staff were attentive and fun!
Great place for breakfast
We literally stood there waiting for someone to seat us for 5 minutes. 3 servers were standing together chatting while we were the only people standing by the sign to get seated. One server said the hostess would come seat us in just a moment. We waited 2 more minutes and decided to leave. Terrible service.
One of the hidden treasures of Collingwood. A little for everyone n every palate. Excellent service and great food prep n skills. Highly recommended on your next visit to Collingwood. Vegetarian options: Even vegans would be happy n food presentation is excellent.
Tasteless, subpar eggs Benedict. Even the homefries weren t cooked well. Was very disappointed with my breakfast, not worth the money spent.
Good food, pretty fast service and eclectic décor with lots of local artists being showcased. We had the Steak sandwich and Traditional Club sandwich. Everything was good. My side Caesar salad was also very yummy. Vegetarian options: I noticed a Falafel dish and some other dishes could easily be adapted. Parking: Local town parking lot free on the weekends. Street parking also available. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs. The door is even with the sidewalk. Bathrooms seemed spacious enough.
It s a good location, good foods, good service. Had salads & cappuccino for lunch with a friend.
Had the toasted western it was amazing! Staff was phenomenal! I will definitely be back!
We had the homemade lasagna and the chicken mango salad. Both copious but more importantly, delicious! Friendly staff. Great place, specially to avoid tourist traps in the area.
All the food was great
Nice place, but super long lines and slow service
Great service and food. My wife and I did a day trip to Collingwood. Weve had some great meals up there eons ago when our fave breakfast place closed down. We had been to Duncans as a substitute and, at that time, it was your typical diner. Since then it seems to have changed ownership and menu. We had to wait in line for lunch but it was pretty fast and service was quite quick. Lattes were great. We ordered a large bowl of butternut squash soup to share. It was fabulous. Maybe a bit too peppery but we gobbled it down. Looks like they even sell a larger than large I am guessing for takeout. Now it is a bit pricey at $10 for a bowl but it was exceptional. I ordered a burger and my wife had the club sandwich with turkey. These are both pretty pricey at $17. Given the fact this was a very packed place with alot of orders I think the burger was quite decent. It was a little juicy but I would say it was just too lean a cut to be superb. A bit dry and chewy. Nonetheless it was quite good tasting. Id love to try it when they are less busy but Im not sure they are ever not busy. My wifes club was also quite good but given the soup she could not finish. All high quality ingredients from buns to breads and even bacon was way above average. Typically Collingwood can be a bit expensive for non fast food places but the difference in price is well worth it for those occasional special treats. They dont seem to serve fries but just roast potatoes. Now they are only open for breakfast and lunch so I am guessing the potatoes are the same for breakfast and lunch. I saw someone who had poutine and it looked amazing. I also saw some other guests with veggie rolls which also looked scrumptious. Great food and service even in spite of being a bit small and fully packed. Their soup seems to be a bit seller since they have 5 options. All products are home made so this is why the cost is a bit higher. Theres certainly other menu items Id love to try but sadly we are not up there very often. Great place.
$39 for breakfast need I say more?
Very nice place to have breakfast
Artsy place, could use more variety on food for breakfast including pancakes or vegetarian substitutes
Fantastic service, from every point of view. Great artwork. Well worth stopping by for some lunch and a drink.
Beautiful cafe, food was outstanding and service was superb. Highly recommend.

Kickass eggs Benedict!
Awesome food and service. Friendly and beautiful place
Unobtrusive staff, quiet atmosphere and great Eggs Benedict
You have to come here!!! Everything is fresh and delicious. Had the falafel which was soooo good, loved the balsamic dressing on the salad. Partner had a chicken quesadilla that was fresh, hot, flavourful and HUGE. The squash soup was definitely homemade with succulent pieces of squash and again, large portion. You have to have either a cappuccino or chai latte soooo good. Nice finale to an exceptional lunch!!!! Thank you Duncans cafe for a terrific end to a mini girls weekend
I had the pita with fresh made falafels. They have a diverse menu with sandwiches, pastas, wraps etc. They also have a good wine and also a few local beers on tap. Service was great
Great service and breakfast
Average breakfast joint. My steak and eggs breakfast was nothing to write home about. Steak was tiny and served cold. The home fries could have been cooked a bit more. Our server was a little bit impatient and asking to take our plates before the meals were complete with food on them still. Please give us a minute to catch up and finish our meals! Overall I rate it just an average experience.
Amazing food, super friendly service. Stopped in as we were in Collingwood and had an absolutely fantastic lunch. My wife had the smoked meat and I had the best calf s liver I have had in years. Absolutely recommend.
Food was good but the bench we sat on could use some cushions.
Decent breakfast. No complains. (The butter on the table is probably all going to expired or already expired..)
Very cool and friendly atmosphere. I loved seeing all the local artist artwork displayed on the walls. Good was delicious and waitstaff were very friendly. Great experience.
Excellent food and atmosphere, the Mulligatawny soup was amazing along with everything else we had. Our waitress was soo pleasent. Thank you G.
Stopped on our way home for a quick breakfast, server was very friendly and recommended very tasty dishes.
The man at the front door was so welcoming and friendly as soon as we walked in. Made us feel very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.
The chicken sandwich is a must. Quality is amazing. Highly recommend. Only downside is that the potatoes were a bit dry.
