Just waited 37 minutes in the drive through line!!! Finally just drove away and went to A&W. Ordered and got my food in under 5 minutes.

Very slow service , employees don t care

I have to be careful what I order on my burgers. I ordered a plain cheeseburger and took it home. The burger had everything on it. I couldn t eat it and only had a few of the fries. I hardly ever go out for dinner. I was really looking forward to the burger. There s $12 I ll never get back.

NEVER MAKE THE ORDER RIGHT, the staff shows attitude when tell their mistake.

This restaurant was filthy. The entire floor. The self serve drink area. The tables in the booth. The benches at the booth and the washroom. I get that its a fast food place but is cleanliness too much to expect in a food service establishment. I mentioned it to the manager. He said he was short staffed and hed get on it. There wasnt anyone in the place when I was there. Short staffed is wearing a bit thin. Very low standards at this Harveys/Swiss Chalet. I know theyre not all like this.

Slowest drivethru! I waited for 20 minutes for 4 orders ahead of me and once I finally got to the window, the guy shoved the pin-pad for payment out the window without even looking at me or saying anything then shoved my food out the window the same way, all the while joking and laughing with a fellow employee!!!! Not a single word or smile!!!!! To top it off, the food cold since it must have sat there since I had ordered it 20 minutes before! No more Harveys for us. :(

the girl with the blonde highlights and braces is one of the worst workers i ve ever seen in my life. she was so rude and irate for no reason, going on saying that we yelled at her when we didn t at all. shes so unprofessional and rude and she shouldn t be working with the public. will not be coming back. extremely unprofessional im extremely disappointed. the blonde manager was amazing though. such a sweetie and helped us solve our issues.

Very slow drive thru. I was the only one in the drive thru and it took over 5 min to get a burger. Guy had his mic on on while he was dealing with an issue and dropped several F bombs. Not even a smile or explanation for the slow service.

The cashier was immensely rude. Dint know the details of menu and made us order fries on double quantity. onion rings (frings) are a no go! Do NOT recommend!

This is the drink I was just handed in drive through. I am a regular at this location and it is continually going downhill. I guess its time to frequent a different fast food outlet.

The past 5 times I ve been into this location it s been a terrible experience! 1 person trying to get all the meals together while others stand around! I felt bad for the girls running the cash and trying to get burgers dressed! By the time I got my food it was cold but hard to complain when the 1 person was doing everything they could to get everyone looked after! I won t be back!

The people who work here try to scam an early close by not answering the drive thru window. I had to phone them to complain and make them answer the ordering station. Then I sat waiting for a vege burger for 30 minutes. If you close at 10pm then you should be working and serving food until 10pm, not trying to close and ignoring customers! And the drive thru menu doesnt light up! Whats up w/this location? Embarrassing. Reply: Best to call your employees young adults, not kids. If your business is indeed open, and you want customers, its probably in your best interest to make that as obvious as possible and known to the general public.

Drive thru was brutally slow

Just waited over 50 minutes in the drive through. 25 minutes just since I ve paid waiting on my food. This is super unprofessional and needs to be made correct.

Meh - burgers were hot. The fries tasted like they were made an hour ago - luke warm at best. Then the hubby found a hair in his poutine. Just get a burger - cause by the looks of other reviews they dont do the sides very well!

This is a large Harveys with a very busy drive thru. staff are trying their hardest to satisfy everyone. This is a Canadian chain and service was good. Please get out and support our local restaurants.

Just went through the drive through for the last time. Chicken strips were cold. Chicken sandwich was cold, dry and tasteless. We order at other Harvey s and the food is always decent but every time at the Collingwood store there is an issue and the food does not meet our expectations.

Took an eternity to get 2 burgers in the drive through. Literally 30 minutes. It wasn t busy. Just go inside or better yet, go somewhere else all together.

Almost 30 minutes in the drive thru. Young man checked my order handle me the bag. I drove off only to find out I had the wrong order. I fortunately I was already to far away to go back. Long line ups, poor customer service and wrong orders have happened far to often. Won t return to this location. If I could leave a zero star rating I would!

Today I ordered the crispy chicken Harvey s wrap and the frings. The frings were undercooked and the wrap was fine until I got to the end and then a smell emerged from the chicken. Upon opening the end of the wrap the chicken had white goo (grease fried something) stuck to the end of it that smelled sooo bad. I know we can t expect much from fast food but at least give me something I can eat. The last time I got that wrap it was delish now I can t ever order it again because gross and scary yuck. This place is not consistent and god only knows what happened to the chicken in my wrap today. Ugh.

Halfway through my burger that I got at Harveys drive through, on my way home, I discovered a long white hair in my burger. Absolutely disgusting. Otherwise Im usually happy with the food here.

Was there the other night at DriveThru. Ordered my meals for my family and myself. Have tried numerous times to call in because there were items missed from my meal. No one picked up the phone. I have tried calling for two days now. No one picking up. On top of that, the burgers were burnt and dry. My kid would not eat it. Not appealing at all. On top of that, I waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for burnt food and watched two employees wrestle behind the counter. Not sure how that is professional.

Very rainy day and drive thru was slow

The service on the Harveys side was ok but thats where the pros end. The swiss challey side took so long that when there part of the order came, the Harveys food had dried out. The quality of the food was also very poor. Most of my chicken nuggets were just coating, and the nuggets that did have meat had very little. My family members poutine was also drenched in way to much gravey, and the swiss side gave us the wrong chicken. Overall I would say only eat here as one or two poeple, and only if you really like Harveys already. Otherwise go to one of the other fast food chains in the area.

The food was great!! Was a very delightful young lady who took very good care of us!!

All good here except the sanitation opportunities. The front sanitizer was broken. No soap in male washroom. Told staff but apparently only the manager can get the soap so had to wait.... then he has it in his hand and continues to talk to someone visiting from head office. And I waited. Food getting cold...and waited. Finally another employee went to the manager and took the soap to put in. I understand having a visitor, but HO should endorse customer service and let the manager grab a staff member to fill the soap. Small item, yah...but now my meal is cold. :(

Staff are super friendly

Seven (7) onion rings with my combo. The shrinkflation is real. The staff were lovely, their policies/portions were not. A $13 combo should get me at least as many onion rings as I can count on my fingers.

Food always good and order correct. Service friendly and professional always when I come through. The past 3 drive thru visits though the wait time with only 3 cars ahead has been no less than 20- 25 min. Based on the review comments sounds like an ongoing issue with Swiss Chalet drive thru service times? Perhaps use the same fulfillment method as other locations and have those vehicles pull through and wait- so thers more reasonable wait times? Otherwise, clearly an ongoing staff shortage and if so Not fair to hard working staff or customers waiting.

Incredibly slow drive through. On a good day you might get through in fifteen minutes. You think they were doing Michelin rated...not fast food

I waited nearly 20 mins with 2 people ahead of me and they still screwed my order by not putting lettuce tomatoes and onions on my burger. They gave me a bun and a pattie with mayonnaise.Please double check your order before you drive thru this snail paced work ethic.

Responding to the response from owner as i have no other way to respond. I actually have an email exchange in where I was asked to give my mailing address for the coupons to be sent to. So no I was not told to come in to pick them up. Had I been told to come in I would have informed who I spoke with that that isnt possible as I dont live in collingwood, was simply passing through. Absolute worst Harveys experience ever. I LOVE Harveys. Sadly this location did not hit the mark. Our burgers were practically drowning in condiment to the point that the meat felt cold. 3 of our burgers were ordered WITHOUT pickles and tomatoe, all 3 came with. 1 with just mustard and onions, they put so much mustard on they mine as well have just packed up the bottle for us. Also ordered a poutine with extra cheese curds and not only did it not have extra cheese curds but the container was half empty and the fries were under cooked. Super unimpressed. Will be passing this complains along to head office. Edit to update. Ended up reaching out to head office since no response was recieved to my review. Was put in contact with someone who said they would reimburse us with burger coupons. No such thing was recieved. Taking away the one start i can. Would take them all away if it was possible. 3 months later, still havnt recieved the coupons I was offered. Dont waste you time at this location, service and food is horrible and no one seems to want to rectify the issues. Tried more then once to get bsck in contact with the person i spoke with and have just been ignored. Will never return.

Just got a large fry from the Collingwood location only to find the fries are Stone cold this has happened multiple times and I have noticed this quite often, and have even gone to a Harveys in Wasaga Beach instead of the restaurant in Collingwood. They are understaffed. It does not seem to matter to the staff if they serve cold food.

Hamburgers were aweful. Visited midday. Hamburger was cold and old. I had no idea that there were 2 different grades of beef. The original hamburger was not meat but a filler with meat in it. I am not sure of these standards since we are from the U.S.

The worst crispy chicken sandwich Ive EVER tasted! It was flavorless and had a weird taste, Ill never buy another chicken sandwich from Harveys again...

What can I say....screwed up simple order...hamburgers burnt and cold ..fried pickles burnt ...missing items....reminds me why I have not been in a while and will never go back.

I ordered a poutine and two people not wearing gloves pushed fries into the box and picked up bacon from the counter and put it into the box. Then another person refilled the container of packages of cheese and dropped one on the floor, picked it up and put it back into the container. Needless to say I didn t eat the poutine and requested a refund. The manager was understanding and pleasant. The restaurant as a whole was not well kept the floor was sticky and tables were left with empty containers of customers. The store was not busy and there were staff standing around. I will not be returning to this location.

Swiss Chalet. Lovely, happy staff. Dry, aneamic ribs. Even dry dark (on the bone) chicken. How do you even do that on a rotisserie ..? Very little glazing/spice. Chips were ok. A medicine cap of coleslaw. Fresh dinner roll was good. Comparatively well priced drinks. Very disappointing after insisting to try it.

Asked for a chicken sandwich with lettuce, mayo and no tomato...I bet you can guess what the only condiment that came on it was....

I had ordered a burger and poutine and noticed when I got home that unfortunately did not get the poutine. I called and they were very apologetic and said o could come back and get one right away or let them know the next time I came in. Today I returned and shared what happened and the manager / owner was very responsive to my situation and not only took care of my poutine but also my burger tonight. Well done Swiss Chalet / Harvey s. This is why I come here - quality but as importantly a care for customer service. This is the key for me and a true point of difference. We went into swiss chalet part for Thanksgiving dinner.....we went at 3 sp it was not too busy yet it was just nice....server was good and she was freindly the food was good too....tho our pumkin pie can rignt out fridge ice cold i would rather it be room temp.....

Disorganized. Slow. Food allowed to sit under heat lamps, or worse on the tray waiting for long stretches of time for the rest of the food to be made. Food was only lukewarm, flavour was adequate.

Ordered the Christmas feast. Had to ask for both my beverage and chocolate . Noticed another customer having to go back as they did not give her free Christmas with her Christmas Festive meal. The restaurant was clean. The food was delicious. Expensive but a treat for myself.

Just left there today and my fries and hamburger was cold . They are disgusting and i had to wait for some who ordered Swiss chalet for 20 minutes at the drive through. I will NEVER go back there again. It so embarrassing I had to put it in my microwave to heat them again. This owner needs to smart up !!

Staff was ridiculous and unprofessional. Throwing napkins at each other, some coming over the front counter. The one guy changed the trash right beside my table as we were eating and spilled it all over the floor. A bunch of kids fooling around and not a care in the world for customer service. Whoever is running this place should get the boot ASAP. WONT BE RETURNING.

We waited a while to order, the 4 staff that could see us, just kept looking over at us, none of which said it may be a few minutes. When someone finally came to take our order, the employee had difficulties running the register. He had asked multiple people for help, one of which gave him major attitude. Ordered our child a bacon cheeseburger, we were given a plain burger instead. Asked for what we paid for and were given a small piece of bacon. Had to ask again for the cheese, and the employee said to is atleast you dont have to pay for it, which we already had. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the staff, but we wont be back.

Tasty burgers for a great price.

Remarkably slow, do not go through the drivethru, as it takes forever to get your food. The milkshake machine is broken and will allegedly be broken for a while according to workers, which is tragic as the harveys shakes are great. Have caution if youre in any rush at all.

We have tried to zip through and get a takeout order three times in 2021. The current crew despite best efforts is very slow, not sure why as there is quite a few staff members working and makes it difficult to justify the time requires to stop in for a quick drivethru meal. Hopefully tji g will change when we return to nornal operating conditions.

Im done coming here, since summer 2021 the drive through has 30-40 min line ups, constantly messing up my poutine order which is ONE item off the menu, how is it so hard to make a poutine without missing ingredients. Absurdly slow and staff sound tired and irritated. Ive never been to a Harveys that takes this long and each time I go back, its the same. Please consider paying your staff more and/or hiring more staff. I cant overstate how slow the service is, even when theres barely any people there.

Ordered ahead through the app 3 hours early and then had to wait 15 minutes when arrived 2 min after order time. They give you empty cups to fill yourself with a pick up order. Not up to standard.

Ordered through the app and received confirmation and pick up time. Went to pick up and it was closed. To top it all off, I still was charged on my credit card and trying to get it refunded two weeks later and still waiting.

Young handsome lad working the kitchen gave me ten free burger coupons due to my dislike of the fries. He was also seen drinking that dirty sprite and thats when I knew this place was the shizz. Definitely gonna reach here again, 100x better than @oldmillhousepub. Pub pickles cooked to perfection.

Clean and bright with lots of parking and easily accessible entrance. Staff is cheerful and attentive and very helpful. Food is fresh, and ingredients breakdown is available.

Cheeseburger was cold. Cheese lukewarm.. not melted. Husbands hotdog was cold, bland ... forgot the pickles he asked for. Onion rings were day-olds. Nice staff.

I hope that head office will see this?? Awful service, bathrooms and tables where dirty. We ordered the Swiss Chalet two chicken double leg dinners wanted to dine in and it came in a takeout bag? So we sat there and tried to eat out of cardboard, oh and the potatoes where old looking and small. Before we sat down we had to wipe our own table from the bucket of water left on the wast container. We thought it was nice to leave the table clean for the next person. Dont blame this on staff shortages. If you own the place then you need to come in and make sure its looked after.

Went to Harveys today for lunch, ordered the new crispy chicken sandwich which was dry and had been sitting out for a while. The real kicker was I didnt even get to choose my own toppings, which is why I went there, and was given a chicken sandwich with only lettuce, tomatoes and mayo.... I am still flabbergasted that I was not asked what I wanted on my sandwich.. I had to ask for my toppings on the side and put them on my sandwich once I was back at work. Also the fountain pop, went to get some Pepsi zero and 7 up came out... everything about this visit was wrong.

Drive through is like almost 10 min wait

Waited for our food about 35-40 minutes with one person head of us!!! Than only to find out our order was messed up!!! Couldn t go through drive through they told us to come in store very disappointed in service!! Garbage all over tables no clean seating!! By the time we got our food it was cold!!! People we re getting refunded and walking out!!! No customer service what so ever!!! Have no clue where the management is for this location but there was two young people working one cooking and one on the front!!! We are Local and won t be coming back

Food was good. Service was poor. Although we were the only people in line, we were treated as if our presence was quite inconvenient. Recognizing the drive through might be the cause of their stress, we were fine to wait but when waited upon, they certainly werent happy or friendly to us. Parking: Parking was plentiful and easy to access.

Pulled in and ordered - no line up !! Pulled up to pick up and waited long enough that my foot got tired on the brake and I had to put the car in park. Didn t really mind though because I thought at least I know they are preparing it now and it will be hot. I live a 3 minute drive away. I went straight home. To say my food was even warm would be an exaggeration. 4 pm on a Sunday so not busy but probably a difficult time period to staff ? Jacob is a great drive-thru host. So young and yet very professional...other retailers should be on the lookout for this guy...If he decides to leave that is...he really looks like he puts his heart into his work.! Foods always good, hot, fresh, good selection of menu options and really good selection of toppings. Got a crispy chicken burger and a poutine, poutine was great with lots of cheese and gravy. Given with how rude some of the other customers were to staff I was appalled seeing people treat service workers so poorly. Having said that the staff handled it in a professional manner despite being treated terribly. I hope in the future the rude people stay home instead.

Really friendly staff and the food was hot and tasty

The service at this location has always been fantastic. The food has always been good and I think we ve only received a (very minimally) wrong order once or twice out of all the times I ve eaten at this restaurant. The staff have never been rude, or unprofessional. In particular, the young woman who took our order tonight around 5pm (I didn t catch her name, unfortunately, but she had red hair and was wearing a black mask) was amazingly polite, and efficient. Additionally, I watched her handle an interaction with an irate customer with grace and professionalism when many would have pushed to defensiveness and anger themselves (rightfully so, the angry drive thru customer was absolutely terrible to the staff). I appreciate the hard work from tonight s staff and I hope the rest of their night got better. And I hope that terrible customer feels awful about how she treated them.

Had the 1/4lb angus burger with onion rings. The burger was juicy and flavourful however the rings could have been more crispy as a couple of the thicker rings were a little doughy.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The drive through took so long, this location shouldn t qualify as fast food . While I was in the window, I watched 4 employees huddle around the milkshake machine making themselves something, I know it was for them because I was there long enough to watch them eat it. Finally after 5 minutes at the window, the attendant asked me what I ordered. Brutal service.

The staff are friendly. The restaurant is clean. They are busy, which says something. I had made an error with the tip section of the debit machine over 400% yeesh! The store gave the money back to me, no trouble at all. Pheww. Thankyou so much!

Their basic burger is not good anymore. Bland and flavourless. Be sure to get the Angus burger and youll be happy every time! The onion rings are always good. The make it hot option is not worth it as they barely put any crispy jalapenos. Thanks for a good experience!

Just had dinner here at 7:30 no gravy didnt care to check before we ordered, french fries tasted off is not rotten.. youre employees poisoned my fiancé! He had a chicken burger and he got very sick because you didnt check the quality of the chicken and or temp the chicken before serving. HORRIBLE! I got sick too thanks! Workers are lazy and dont care who they make violently ill! Horrible service! Never going back here! Poorly trained staff!

I use to like Harveys until today went to drive true ordered 2 can dine and the girl on the phone making a sigh sound like Im annoying costumer. I make her job easy ordering same combo same condiments for both just didnt get what I said onion ring for bought instead of fries. Get to the window and got my order I ask her if i could get and extra paper bag cuz 1 meal going somewhere else and she gave us attitude. If u dont like ur job dont do it!

Arrived at 8:00PM at the drive thru sign says closing at 9 waited for 20 minutes and no one would take our order! Went inside the store to find out 10 minutes later with workers looking at us that they are closed.

The lady working here named Brenda is being by bias every time I visit to grab my food. She is being rude from last 3 times which is not acceptable. Management needs to fix it. No matter what I m regularly visiting here for my lunch and from last 3 weeks this lady feels not safe for me. She s being rude every time I walk in.

never had a problem at Harveys untill today, 3 cars in the drive threw, took 30 mins finally got our order, brutally got my order wrong and I couldve played hockey with my buddys patty, only good part was the fries. if I wanted someone to butcher my order as bad as today I wouldve went to timmies.

Horrible! Stopped in on Sunday October 24th @ about 11:30ish. Customers in the drive thru waited almost 20 min. Guy in pick-up drove off sqwaking tires. Girls (2) one a cook and one at cash and making burgers, had no sense of urgency. The place was getting very busy, and they moved at a snails pace. Rude,attitudes, and sparky looks from both of them. Just an over-all terrible experience. If they hadnt taken my money yet, I wouldve just walked out and gotten a burger at one of the many other burger places on the same street.

Waited a half hour in the drive through. And what happened to the cheese curds? Never seen Harveys use shredded cheese before...

Asked for certain things on my burger.. and they gave me the wrong toppings...again.. So I went in again...asked for my order.. completely wrong again... asked for a large onion rings... got a very very very tiny order...like an inch below the brim of the fry cup its in... also got fries that I didnt order... they are cold, soggy, and just gross..also got an extra burger for some reason... had to let them know twice that this wasnt my order...but they insisted..oh. also didnt get my drink... they never gave it to me or acknowledged that I was supposed to get one.oh and also they car infront of me took off.. and they said that has happened a few times today ... I wonder why...lol It happened again.. raw fries, black and burnt onion rings. And my burger bun is like a hockey puck... stale and hard. All this after waiting 25 min in the drive through. Never going to that location ever again. Who ever runs that place should be fired.

Went there this afternoon for lunch got a burger meal and 2 milkshakes. The menu didnt mention there was difference size if shakes as well staff seemed very un happy and stood around the only one moving were the kitchen staff and the nice pregnant lady up front.

Stopped at drive through in Collingwood for a 3 for $5 deal, got a hot dog, I understand that it is only $5 but the hot dog was black on one side! Very disappointed!

Expensive but worth it

I remember going to Harvey s Richmond Hill in the 60s when the parking lot looked like it was out of American Grafitti with hot rods, Mustangs and Corvettes. I still like a Harvey s burger with lots of pickles. Try the poutine!

Took very long for the second grill chicken, the first sandwich and fries were cold. And they do a sloppy work garnishing the burgers, sauce all over the paper and outside of the bun made it all soggy.

Employees were too busy to pay attention to order, gave me my burgers without fries.

It was the worst experience ever. The burgers and fries were stone cold, even the root beer was watered down. It doesnt even deserve one star but I have no choice

Great food every time, maybe stop doing Swiss chalet at the drive-thru, it seems this location cannot handle it. Two burger combo time wait time: 5:56pm - 6:55. Update, Food was given out cold as well, recommend to skip this franchise location.

Fast and friendly

Slow but very friendly and food was great. Not thrown together like they were in a rush

Great burgers, onion rings, poutine, and other food. Clean store. Friendly, super efficient staff.

Drive thru was sooo slow! Took over 10 minutes to get a single burger with one car in front of me, who waited longer for their order probably. I also saw two people from the parking lot go in and order after me and get their orders before mine.
