Katherine’s Chateau in Collingwood

We went for the afternoon tea experience at Katherines Chateau and what an experience it was! The food was delicious and plentiful. It was a combination of classic afternoon tea selections, along with some delicious seasonal additions. All very fresh and tasty. The tea selection was also great. This is such a great location as well. I loved the beautifully curated housewares and gift ideas that are available too. It made for a really fun afternoon of great shopping and dining with friends before the holidays. Cant wait to come back and enjoy the patio in the summer!

Second time to visit and both times the experience was spectacular. Wonderful food and service. Unique and so pretty. Lots of unique items to buy. Love the shop and restaurant.

I had the pleasure of dining at Katherine s Château today and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my meal was the potato leek soup absolutely divine! It was perfectly creamy, seasoned to perfection, and had a rich, comforting flavor that I can t stop thinking about. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff (especially Kathrine) were incredibly attentive. I can t wait to return and try more from their menu, but I ll definitely be ordering the soup again. Highly recommend!

From start to finish, Katherines Chateau delivered on all fronts. Our high tea experience was not only familiar with classic finger sandwiches and scones, but also had seasonal delights like the lemon termasu. The staff were attentive and made us feel special, sharing in their love of what they do. We definitely recommend visiting this gem and will certainly return when we come back to town. I really wanted to love this place. Service was so slow it was painful. Took almost an hour for the waitress to take our order. There were 3 only tables occupied in the entire place. The caprese salad was nice, but Roma tomatoes should not be served in a salad, they are for sauces. The bread was delicious ! The paella was bordering on inedible. It had cream in it. The seafood was so overcooked it was inedible and the mussels were not fresh, in fact many were bad and full of grit. The blondie dessert was a lump of sugar with one inky fresh blueberry on it with canned whipped cream. The place needs a chef and not a cook. And it needs better service and oversight on what is going in inside the kitchen. Too bad. It s such a nice looking spot. In Response to the Owner. Do you actually think Im going to kick up a stink about horrible service and food when I was trying to celebrate an important birthday? Really stupid comment from a blind business owner. Who the heck wants a fight when we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves. My hope is that you go out of business asap. If you cant take criticism, have no respect for your customers then you deserve it.

A hidden gem! This amazing bistro and boutique shop delivers excellence on all fronts. I had such a great experience here and cannot wait to go back to try their fondue!! I wish I discovered this cute restaurant early!

My husband and I went to Katherine s Chateau for the first time for a family dinner. The venue was beautiful and the food delicious (I had the Lobster Linguini). The service was spot-on and the servers were so friendly and attentive. I really liked the mix of the restaurant with the boutique. We ll definitely be going back again!

Food was not the best. Quiche was overdone and salad so so. Would go there again lovely atmosphere but would order something else

Nothing short of perfection! Had an incredible time here with my fiancé for a trip out of the city. The spot is stunning and the service is impeccable. I had their tea service and my fiancé had a sandwich for lunch and everything was lovely. Shout out to our serving staff for being so attentive and the chefs for preparing such a tasty service. What a selection of great foods for High Tea!! We were pleasantly surprised by the great decor and nice comfy chairs. The selection of scones and small sandwiches was impressive covering meat, seafood, cheeses and vegetarian, all very tasty. For dessert, I had flourless chocolate cake, delicious, and limoncello tiramisu, a nice twist on a classic with great lemon flavour! Would definitely go back for lunch or dinner. Vegetarian options: for high tea there were grilled mushrooms on taost as well as cheese scones. Parking: On street parking, across the road is free, slightly down the road has paid parking and behind the house is parking for free.

We had lunch at Katherines, lovely setting, comfy chairs. Greeted with genuine smiles and welcome. The menu had so many mouth watering choices, so the three of us picked our top three and shared. We had Coquille St. Jacques, Salmon Cacciatore and Poitrine de Poulet Farcie. They were fantastic and topped up with dessert of Carrot Cake and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Everything done to perfection and so flavourful. Recommend all of these. The ambience of a relaxed atmosphere and just amazing food made our lunch most enjoyable. There were other diners but it didnt feel noisy or crowded. Will have to come back again. Summer must be fantastic with the fabulous outdoor setting. Katherines a must if in Collingwood. Enjoy!

Collingwoods best kept secret! Treat yourself to this amazing experience. We had lunch today and met the owner, Katherine;

Girls Birthday lunch for 5 on Saturday September 21st at noon Four friends and I were very excited to celebrate a birthday lunch here. It was our first time here and unfortunately our last. The place is stunningly beautiful so it s a shame that our lunch was pretty much disastrous First the good Our waiter knew we were celebrating a birthday so he brought us all a free glass of Prosecco and the bread and French cheese plate we ordered was delicious Now the bad One of the ladies ordered the chicken and rice soup and there were 3 inch sized bones in it. Luckily, she did not choke on any of them. We told the waiter and he said oh, it s homemade and told us he wouldn t charge us for it. But we were charged for it. I ordered the Waldorf salad that was supposed to come with candied walnuts. The walnuts were not candied. They were plain We were told by the male owner that if we wanted scones for dessert, which 4 of us did, that we would have to let our waiter know early because they are made in house and take 20 minutes to make. We asked the server for 4 for dessert before we were served our mains and when we received our tea, no scones were brought. The server said he forgot to let them know in the kitchen so we didn t get to try because we couldn t wait for him to fix his mistake My friend ordered the falafel salad and I don t think the falafels were homemade. They looked and tasted exactly like My Little Chickpea brand falafels that I buy frozen When the waiter brought our bills he took off 15% off our orders which isn t good enough I m my opinion. He was very nonchalant about the walnuts and bones in the soup and the forgetting of our scone order On the way out one of my friends told the male manager and he brought her a scone and clotted cream to go which she and I split at home and it was delicious So overall food was just ok. Don t advertise that your salad comes with candied walnuts then serve me plain ones. It s pretty insulting to think I don t know the difference. I don t know if our server was new to serving or if there is a staffing shortage or what but we were all really dissatisfied and won t be returning Just remembered something else that happened When the server seated us we asked what the quiche of the day was and he said he thought it was some kind of bacon quiche but he wasn t sure so would find out and let us know. He never came back to the table to let us know otherwise so we assumed he was correct and the quiche had bacon, etc. One of the ladies decided that she was going yo order that. Well when he came to the table yo take our orders and my friend asked for the bacon quiche, we were informed that the quiche wasn t a bacon one but a feta tomato quiche. Well my friend didn t want that so then she had to quickly decide on something else. The server should have told us sooner that he made a mistake about the bacon quiche and it wasn t available

Great food, exceptional service.

What a find! We arrived in Collingwood late and just walked in off the street. The staff couldn t have been nicer. We chose to sit indoors although the patio is certainly the nicest in the downtown area. We shared the paella and a very nice Bordeaux. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere relaxed and spa-like. We ll definitely be back next time we re in town.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Katherine s Chateau. We have been wanting to try it out for some time now. We spent some time browsing the boutique and was warmly greeted by Karim who was very knowledgeable and passionate about all the beautiful items in the boutique . We stayed for dinner and were extremely impressed with the menu and dishes. All of our meals were wonderfully delicious and our server Anna was a delight, making sure we were well taken care of. Karim, Anna and the impeccably appointed rooms and atmosphere from the welcoming porch to the elegant dining room made our trip worthwhile.

This was a wonderful experience, we went for afternoon tea. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The place is beautiful, personable and quaint. It was our first time at this place, I absolutely loved everything about this place, food, people, ambience and atmosphere amazing it was, Karim he welcomed and made us feel so warm loved him, our lovely server Ana she was a sweetheart loved talking to her. We came here for the first time to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and could not have chosen a better place. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, the service was excellent and the food was incredible. Our only regret was not taking advantage of the beautiful patio before it gets too cold out. We went to celebrate our 15th Red Hat Anniversary for our chapter. Kathryn came to our table and was ever so gracious. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is amazing and the restaurant is gorgeous and includes shopping, if you want.

Wow. Stumbled on this place after a bike ride. Paradise! What a fabulous venue for a sunny afternoon. We had a mid afternoon snack of mussels, Chateau de Bourgogne and a bottle of Cava. I can t imagine a more delightful experience.

Lovely atmosphere. Wait staff were pleasant. Very expensive for a salad of store bought greens, with a few walnuts, cucumber, sparse goat cheese. This was supposedly a Waldorf salad. No discount on the bill. My friend that was with me had been for a bad dinner. This was her give them a second chance. I would not recommend.

Catherine s Chateau is by far the nicest restaurant in the Collingwood area. The champagne and wine selections are sublime. We ve had the paella, the salmon cacciatore, charcuterie board, caprese salad and bruschetta. Everything was so delicious, we cannot wait to go back again. The home decor boutique has so many lovely items for your home and all reasonably priced. If you re looking for a wonderful place to celebrate a special event or just a place to relax and unwind, this is the place to go!

Fourteen of us honoured a bride-to-be by enjoyed high tea at Katherine s Château. The staff were so gracious & attentive, the food was delicious & the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. Our age group ranged from 13 to 83. We all left feeling we had just experienced something beyond special! It was magical!!

Beautiful outdoor dining experience. Excellent choices of sparkling wine (flights available) but we went for the Petit Chablis Which was Delish. The charcuterie board is ENORMOUS. The better than sex cheese was out of this world. If you haven t had a chance to swing by this beautiful slice of heaven make it happen.

Friendly, efficient, attentive staff. Very welcoming, elegant and yet extremely comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious (paella was so good!!). The live music was the icing on the cake - added to the atmosphere- still allowed easy conversation! Highly recommended. We traveled 1 & 1/2 hours to get there and well be back!

I recently visited Katherines Chateau and cannot recommend it enough! The venue is a beautifully transformed heritage home, combining elegance with a cozy atmosphere. After lunch we browsed the boutique where I found some great home decor finds, including faux hydrangeas that look incredibly real. I highly recommend a visit for lunch, cocktails, and shopping. A true gem!

Staff was wonderful ! Ambiance was great Auntie ordered the Nova Scotia dish - smoked salmon and poached eggs which she said was delicious. I ordered the feta omelette with bacon and home friends as did my mum but with scrambled eggs. Omelette was very over cooked and the home fries were burnt. Packaged tiny potatoes. Bacon was over cooked harder than crispy. I expected a bit more from a place like this. Quiche was delicious! Ordered a scone for us after which was very good but again over cooked. Tea was at room temperature. Tea they exchanged no problem. Great concept with the shopping, the staff were amazing and such a lovely place but the food should be up a notch for the price. Maybe dinner would have been better. Parking: About 10 spots but lots of street options Wheelchair accessibility: Metal ramp they gladly put out. Going back down we choose no ramp as it was a bit steep so we helped mum down the steps and carried her Walker. They were very accommodating though.

Katherine has carved out a gem in this historic home with the wrap around porch, garden, dishes, an array of champagne choices, delish food and even a little purse hammock for your bag. If you want a special treat of fine dining in Collingwood, you must go to Katherines Chateau! We were a group of 4 girlfriends and very fortunate to experience their outdoor patio for lunch in the glorious sunshine. Ambience, food, boutique & live music all top notch! We had the pleasure of listening briefly to a singer named Lucca being interviewed who will be performing at Katherines as well as other talented musicians. I ordered the Salad Nicoise with seared tuna and it was divine. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food immensely. Well done Katherine! Its very apparent youve put a lot of TLC into this beautiful manor. Well be back!

the food was okay. the duck portions were really small with only 3 baby potatoes and sauce. the salmon was dry and lacked flavour. it was good enough to eat but not good enough to finish the plate or come back. the service was also okay. the staff was nice but we had a reservation and ended up waiting 30 minutes past the reservation to be seated. the singer was really loud for such a small place. i d recommend not using a microphone since the dining room is small enough for his voice to carry. other than that it was very pretty with lovely flowers. We just had a private luncheon birthday party at the Chateau. The guests were blown away by the ambiance and decor, like a little jewel in Collingwood. Service was really good and they dealt with any requests in a professional manner. We will be going back for a brunch, dinner or just a tea for a break while shopping. The outdoor patio looks very inviting. Vegetarian options: Pasta and falafel salads, cheese selection. Parking: Some parking on site, plenty of parking on the street and in tehearea.

Tawnya is a rockstar server! We were a group of 6 for lunch and she was on top of everything going on, quick wit and efficient. My Coquille St. Jacques was not as expected.

In a nutshell - terrible service. We were there this evening. There was our table of 5 and only one other table the entire evening. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and then only 4 of us were served. Our 5th guest had to wait another fifteen minutes, for a glass of wine! So 45 minutes for just for our drinks. Our food came 90 minutes after we arrived. The restaurant manager is missing in action with only two young kids to look after service and one of them was in training. When the food did arrive, it was fine but the service! It s really too bad because it has a nice outdoor setting. I get the sense the owner isn t there enough and has delegated to inexperienced staff.

Excellent experience. We had the mushroom soup, the calamari, seafood paella, and truffle gnocchi. Everything was very tasty. The calamari was the healtiest I have ever seen. It not breaded, and its not fried. Not my tasty, but hubby loved it.

May 14, 2024 @ 4:30. We had a wonderful waitress, very knowledgeable and courteous. The food was not what we expected, the presentation of the sandwiches was very sloppy (taste was good). The scones were hard and cold. The presentation needs improvement as you eat with your eyes, and this did not look appealing.

I experienced an afternoon Tea and I loved it and so did my friend. Vegetarian options: I was able to eat the tea sandwiches except the sandwiches made with ham. Parking: Parking was easy when I was there at 3pm for Tea.

Absolutely loved all the menu choices - it was hard to decide - my kind of place! The service was exceptional....the staff so welcoming and added nice touches, like dessert, for my birthday. And the musician in the background, Alan, who had an amazing song list and style that fitted this venue, was a perfect addition. All very special indeed. Vegetarian options: eggplant

Excellent restaurant, excellent store. The food was top notch, we highly recommend the lobster mac and cheese, and the mushroom rissoto. Karim at the front desk of the store is a very kind and wonderful man. Service with a smile and an altogether warm, friendly atmosphere. This is now my favourite eatery in town. We were a party of four and enjoyed high tea. Everything about our experience was top notch. We will definitely be returning and also recommending to others. Thank you to all the staff for an excellent birthday celebration. One suggestion, there should not be communal serving of condiments. There should be serving just enough for each guest. The condiments should not be shared with other guests in larger containers.

Very poor service. The server did not follow up with us, did not ask us if we wanted more wine, coffee or tea. No offer of dessert. She did not check to see how the meal was. Mac and cheeese was cool, salmon over cooked. 4 friends having a good time but venue was poor. We will not return. Food

How do you describe the experience of visiting and dining at Katherine s Chateau other than uniquely exquisite? It s equal parts carefully curated store for home decoration and fine dining experience with an incredibly welcoming staff. We stopped by spontaneously to check out their Christmas decorations during a snowboarding trip and ended up staying for cocktails and an exceptionally delicious charcuterie board. Make sure you try the better than sex brie. Highly recommended for a casual lunch, a date night or just somewhere to drink a nice glass of champagne and admire the decor. Thanks to Karim, Tanya and Louix for giving us a night to remember!

A beautiful place to have lunch, dinner, even shop! Also they have afternoon tea which I definitely want to try for next time. Very friendly people with exceptional hospitality and very accommodating, everything was served at a great pace and the food was magnificent, I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly the chef really knows how to please with their delicious food. Went to Katherines Chateau to pick up a birthday gift in the boutique and loved it! Best elegant shopping around, extensive options! Ended up buying lovely dinner set for myself too! And while we were there , stopped in for a lovely romantic dinner after. The food was outstanding, beef bourginon and quiche. The service was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised with the extensive wines. Our server was so lovely and helpful. We are booking a birthday party for my husband in March for sure here! We had a truly fantastic and memorable birthday dinner celebration last night at Katherine s Chateau. We began with little retail therapy in this beautiful gift boutique with so much to see and then onto our dinner , including champagne tasting in the most lovely spot in Collingwood!!! Our server made it even more special , she was so lovely and attentive, and great recommendations. Our 5 meals were perfect , the salmon (my fav) to the pasta dishes and beef bourginon. They even surprised us with a lovely birthday & candle dessert. This is our new favourite spot. We will return and return. It was such a wonderful memory for all of us. Id rate it a 10 if I could! What a find! Went to Katherine s Chateau Home boutique today ! Was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection of home decor options. Clearly spent more than the one thing I was looking for , but .. wow , so many beautiful and unique items. Candles , kitchen things galore, dinning, glasses! Etc. This isn t your typical Home Sense stuff! But yet the prices were pretty good. A very pleasant surprise was we stopped in the champagne cafe after all that shopping for cappuccino and scones! I m bringing all my friends and family back for this incredible shopping experience ! #collingwoodshopping

Katherines Chateau is wonderful. My cousin that resides in Collingwood highly recommended that we visit for some lunch and wine. From the moment I walked in I was in awe of the decor and elegant ambience. It felt so cozy and comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and the food was delicious. I had an incredible time at Katherine s Chateau! I visited during the Christmas holidays and was blown away by the exquisite decor and products for sale. After some shopping, my little group of four was seated in the dining room where we enjoyed some delicious wines and a charcuterie board that was filled to the brim with mouth-watering cured meats and cheeses. The better than sex brie was out of this world! The staff were all very friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here. I look forward to visiting again very soon! :)

We visited Katherines Chateau during our New Years weekend trip and were completely blown away! The experience is unique in the best way possible. We were instantly greeted by Karim who was very polite and welcoming; all while being relaxed by the beautiful aromas from the decor boutique. As this was our first visit, he gave us a quick tour and shared knowledgeable information on what was in their inventory. The items showcased in the front rooms are all exquisite and you can tell that everything is of the highest-quality material -- and there is something for everyone. Even the building itself shows its history and sets the tone, from the exterior to the interior. This visit was capped off with a sit down in their alluring dining area with an elegant and cozy atmosphere. We had the charcuterie board -- and oh my, how tasty!! The honey spread, cheese & meat choices, to the presentation of the board itself was perfect. Highly recommended. The dining service was fantastic and they made sure we were taken care of. I think you can tell we will be back! This is exactly what Collingwood was in need of. Thank you to the Katherines Chateau team for a wonderful time.

We had a lovely experience at Katherines Chateau in December. The beautiful Christmas décor and ambiance lured me into the gift shop where I found many unique treasures. The staff was friendly and attentive. We couldnt believe the presentation of the charcuterie board. Every selection was top tier, it was hard to chose a favourite. I look forward to introducing my friends to my new favourite spot.

My husband and I had a wonderful Valentines Dinner at Katherines Chateau. The food was delicious, especially the steak and the dessert - absolutely top quality! I love that the staff threw in a few little surprises - such an attentive touch. I left one more star to be earned on Atmosphere, as we felt they are still ironing out some details as a new business, which, when all tended to, will make the whole Chateau dining experience a stellar one!

We went for the Valentines Day Dinner. Food, service and atmosphere were terrific. A new restaurant in Collingwood that we will be returning again and will be bringing friends along.

We had a wonderful dinner at Katherines Chateau. All of the servers were very accommodating and attentive and the food with the sparkling wine flight was an incredible experience. I would highly recommended this restaurant if youre looking for a new place to try!

Katherine s Chateau is a unique mix of modern and classic decor with a small storefront of goods to peruse as you enter the restaurant. The food menu includes some classics as well as modern fare. We enjoyed a lobster mac and cheese as an opener with bourguignon and maple glazed salmon as mains alongside a flight of sparkling wine. The service really made the experience special and it is definitely worth a visit if you haven t been.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at the newest addition in Collingwood, Katherine s Chateau. I had the braised beef and my wife had the salmon. Both were amazing and cooked to perfection. What a great addition to beautiful Collingwood with the stunning decor and a totally comfortable experience. We loved being able to freely wander during courses and shop in the decor boutique. As a wine lover the selection of both red and white along with the prices were excellent. We plan on going back at least once a month and can t wait to sit on the patio next summer. Thank you Katherine s for the service which is the best I have found in Collingwood and making our anniversary dinner so special.

What an elegant and charming place. The food was meticulously prepared and delicious. The cafe is beautifully appointed with the finest decor making you feel pampered and special. Excited to try the afternoon tea experience and pick up more home decor items. The shop is filled with unique items that are irresistible.

Absolutely delightful place! Generous portions (me and my friend shared the charcuterie and I took home plenty). Very helpful for those who are gluten free, and fabulous choices for wine, cocktails and all things sparkling (we have a bottle of Curve that was well priced and delicious). For anyone hesitant about trying this treasure out - go for it! Totally great for a visit with friends or a date. Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options
