We have been to the Curly Willow numerous times, and the food is always very good. When I called to make a reservation a few weeks ago, they were not able to accommodate my requested time, so I said thank you we will try again another time. The owner essentially hung up on me which I felt was extremely rude. I doubt that I will return again.

Great atmosphere, really aesthetic patio, delicious food, very friendly staff. Got the lobster grilled cheese and it was fully loaded -highly recommend.

Overall a very disappointing experience. The restaurant had a stuffy, weird smell. My meal was very salty and overpriced. The waiter did not really care whether we enjoyed the meal or not. Would not recommend. The patio looked nice but it was raining.

Went there with friends for the first time last night and had an amazing experience. The service was fantastic and the meal was phenomenal. I am celiac and my wife has a shell fish allergy and they did a wonderful job accommodating our requirements. Definitely will be going back!! A hidden gem in Collingwood.

Best Burger ever !!!!!

Ive had the pleasure of experiencing lunch and dinner, and both were incredible. From the greeting at the door to how quaint and unique the establishment is, whether inside or on the beautiful patio, to a wonderful and delicious experience. We both keep enjoying it every time we go.... never a disappointment.

My friends and I just went to this restaurant as there were a few vegan options. To be honest the food was great but the service could have been better. We were the youngest costumers in the restaurant and could feel that we may not have gotten the same respect as the other costumers. From the start, we asked the server for a few more vegan menu as we were 4 people needing it and he responded poorly by saying you guys cant share and then never brought us more. Secondly, one of our friend got very uncomfortable as she asked the server for the vegan option but got told that she should not be getting that option as it was not as good as the one with dairy. Then the server made us feel very uncomfortable with a racist comment because we asked for hot sauce. She said I know your type like hot sauce as he is brown. This is not okay to make that type of comment. We were not liking this experience at all. As we were paying, my partner asked to pay both bills together and she responded by saying you did not hear me, I said I would put them together in a very rude manner. This entire experience was not necessary and we felt like we did not get good service at all. We were treated poorly. ,

Food was delicious and has vegan options. But the service was subpar and a racist comment was made. We felt very uncomfortable. Edit after seeing the response: The racist comment was actually made before hot sauce was ordered. There was a red dressing with salad that looked like hot sauce so I asked if it s hot sauce and server said, I know your type likes spicy, but this is a dressing for salad, not hot sauce. She laughed after making us feel very uncomfortable. And later we asked for hot sauce for the burger and onion rings (not before).

The curly willow is an amazing restaurant it exceeded all our expectations. The food was to die for and the lobster ravioli was by far the best i have ever had! It was real lobster! The service was amazing and quick plus the husband (front of house) was hilarious. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely delicious everything. Had mussels, mushroom ravioli, and hubby had the chicken parmesan. Quiet place clean, great food and service.

Quaint and friendly restaurant in Collingwood. Very cozy and well decorated. All aps were deliscious. We had the Coconut shrimp, spinach dip, baked brie and mussels to start. All 5 . For our mains, butternut Squash risotto and mushroom Ravioli tasted way better than they looked. The salmon was a hit as well. The surf and Turf Burger was a let down, because its not a homemade patty and that turned me off. The sauces on it and the shrimp were tasty and the fries came with some seasoning that was really good. Oh and love that they have mini deserts! Will definitely be back. A must try when in Collingwood!!

Food was excellent. Service was fast friendly...but did not feel rushed Food

First time visit for a belated-Mothers Day dinner. Nestled on a side street, this location is necessarily gossiped about grubhub. Enjoyed the lobster stuffed mushroom caps for an appetizer. I sipped on a wonderful purple gin-based drink, unfortunately the clever name escapes me. I had notified the attendant of my Celiac Autoimmune Disease. My appetizer came side a warmed gluten free bun with butter. For my main course, the pistachio crusted fresh halibut and carrots with coconut risotto was the star of the show. A buttery Chardonnay paired wonderfully. Once done with my main course, I had passingly mentioned that the meal would be rounded out with a chocolate mousse cake or brownie, the friendly blonde-haired attendant recommended on her next round I try the chocolate caramel cake. Of course I indulged! My party had been checked on, thanked for coming, and been invited to view the patio for future dining. Fortunately, I wasn t able to view that evening so I will be forced to enjoy a lunch menu filled with gluten-free options on the patio, with another wonderfully mixed cocktail. ;) The decor is right up my alley, for the vibe they seem to want to convey. Laid back cottage jazz meets modern Instagram farmhouse. Would invest in bathroom decor/ lighting for geolocation/selfie posting. A must.

My family came from out of town. We chose this restaurant because we had a number of children and reviews said service was great and family friendly. Im writing because this was totally not our experience. Right when we walked in the door, we couldnt even say a word before the front staff literally put his hand up in my husbands face, did not look up from his book and said they couldnt seat us and asked us to leave. Rude! And I was embarrassed that I had told my family this place was well rated. Please treat people with more respect.

Thank you for a most enjoyable evening when you graciously accommodated our entire biking group of 24 women from Peterborough. Every part of the meal..salad..entree..and dessert rate a 10/10. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining there again when in the area.

I don t know that I have ever experienced a restaurant as consistently wonderful as this one. The food is always delicious and full of flavour. The staff there obviously love their jobs (or are really good actors). I feel like they re long lost friends. So wonderful! Great job team!!

Not a place for those with food allergies or sensitivities. I dont like leaving negative reviews, but I do believe in honesty. We didnt get a chance to try the food because the restaurants response to our food allergy was abysmal. This may be a great place to eat, but if you have food allergies or sensitivities, I wouldnt risk it. When I made the reservation, I asked about their ability to handle my wifes soy allergy. They said it wouldnt be a problem. While we were looking to order, we asked about a particular dish, and were told there wasnt any soy. But then the oddest comment, But you do have your epipen just in case, right? (For those unfamiliar with it, an epipen is a large needle filled with epinephrine, designed as a life saving apparatus to keep one alive long enough to get to the hospital. Its very traumatic to use the device and is definitely a last resort option.) We were pretty shocked by the question. The server said she had to ask us because of liability issues. We have eaten in dozens of restaurants across Canada and a few other countries over many years, and have never been asked such a question. The owner came over and asked the same question. We never talked to the chef, which is the typical way of handling such questions. The restaurant affirmed that there wouldnt be any soy in their food made in house, but they couldnt be sure of anything that came from outside. For example, they said their buns came from Sobeys, and they brought us the ingredients sticker from the package to review. We have certainly encountered restaurants that were unable to handle a soy allergy. In those cases, they simply told us that it was not possible to avoid soy contamination, and we have simply left and found another place to eat. With most restaurants, after a short conversation with the kitchen, we have been able to order from part of the menu. We have never had a restaurant that asked us to keep dreadful lifesaving medical devices on hand just in case. We simply finished our wine, paid for that, and left. It was too bad. Looks like a charming restaurant. I just wish they knew what they put into their food, and were willing to stand by their own preparation skills.

The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the restaurant was so cute and homey. Definitely recommend it for vegetarians or vegans, their rose pasta was amazing. We were on a tight schedule so we couldnt stay too long but we let the waiter know and she was absolutely a start rushing to get us boxes and receipts!! A great experience over all

It was a great experience, well planned menu. The staff was friendly and helpful. All six of us raved about the food, tasty and bountiful. I loved my shrimp linguine. It had a good serving of tasty shrimps that had just the right amount of flavourful spices. Well be back. .

Amazing food, lovely decor inside & fantastic staff! Highly recommend this little gem. I have had lunch at The Curly Willow four times in the last year since I started going to the Blue Mountain area regularly. It is consistently delicious; there are plenty of things on the menu I would still go back to try and I am confident they would be equally yummy! I try to eat there at least every visit to the area which says a lot that I will go out of my way to have a meal there. Everyone who works there is super friendly, energetic and helpful. They are extremely accomodating with requests. Looking forward to my next visit - hope to be able to try dinner there soon!

My reviews and others have been deleted due to telling the truth. I was also called a liar and that this situation never happened from the owner on my last post. Why would I lie about such a thing? I left bawling because of the treatment I received. Myself, husbands and Grandmother who is 85 was kicked out of this restaurant by the owner due to our medical status. When denied service I merely said to the owner they should be ashamed for promoting such discrimination and he yelled at me- He used profanity and screamed at me to get out of his restaurant. Absolutely disgusting behavior! Curly Willow should be ashamed of themselves, this type of treatment is uncalled for and does not belong in our community. I feel sad for the staff who work at this establishment.

Update: had a lovely dinner here! Staff was so friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The food was delicious! We had the mussels, lobster ravioli, and a trio of desserts... the Blueberry lime icecream was the best Ive ever had! My partner and I are travelling to Collingwood July 15 to 17th and I was looking up restaurants to visit while Im there. I read reviews... I just wanted to let you know, that Im impressed by your values in upholding government laws during COVID even while receiving so much harassment from the public. Its a shame you had to experience that while trying to operate in a tough time for all businesses. We will definitely ensure that we visit your restaurant on our trip and look forward to supporting your restaurant!

We came because we had a gift certificate and the food was fantastic! Shrimp risotto and mushroom ravioli were both scrumptious. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Customer service was garbage. We sat down for maybe 10 minutes and the owner was already rushing us out (they also did this the last time we were here but we decided to give them a second chance because the food was so good). The least he could have done was apologized for his attitude and what he said but no. Anyways, our waiter was incredible. Very, very friendly. He tried to mediate the situation as my mother-in-law was very upset about the exchange with the owner. As well, the food was great. Tasted amazing. The chef is incredible with what they do. Overall, if they do takeout, that would be the way to go. EDIT: Obviously you know where you went wrong since you can exactly pinpoint who we were over your night. Our last member had been ordered for, so?? What s the issue?? He had an emergency. If he hadnt come at all we would have paid and brought the food to him? As well, why even mention anything if you don t need our table? You re tone and attitude, as well actually, implied that you wanted us to hurry up and go. As a responsible owner you should be treating your guests more appropriately to the situation. If we went anywhere else, they would ve just apologized if there was any issue but not talk the way you did. As well, no one yelled at you at all. I m sure all your guests can attest to that. We respect that you want your guests to have reasonable timing with food but treating other guests rudely isn t the way to do it. Don t act like a victim here. The snide remark at the end of your reply is unnecessary. As well, we arrived before our reservation of 6pm and ordered at 6:15pm :)

Lovely space, staff and food!

This is one of the best places weve had the pleasure of eating at. The food was excellent and delicious. To top off our visit the owner came out on to the street after we left the patio just to say Thank-you for dining at their restaurant. Now that is service that cares. I will definitely be returning

Owner tells you to leave that he needs the table. We had paid our bill and were finishing our drinks. Tells us again to leave when we pause at another table to say hello to friends. Have heard of his rudeness from a number of people. First time experiencing it. Good food, rude owner. There are nicer ways to let a customer know the table is needed. With so many other restaurants who want customers, time to support them.

This restaurant was recommend by our B&B, and it did not disappoint! The food is delicious, and the staff were so friendly and engaging and made our experience very enjoyable. We ordered the lobster ravioli and mushroom ravioli (both to die for), and got the mini trio for dessert, all were a 10/10! Next time we re in the area we d definitely come back!

A group of us, fourteen in all, had our pre-Christmas Dinner here earlier this week. All said the experience was fantastic. Everyones menu choice tasted really, really good. The service was timely, the ambiance excellent, and the price very reasonable. This restaurant is one of our favourites in Collingwood...

Aperantly its about them, not the atmosphere. Its on their time not yours. Food is priced high dont recommend this place.

It upsets me to see how many people went so low to leave 1 star reviews about visiting from a red zone and not being allowed to enter the restaurant. The owners have the RIGHT to deny entry if you are from a red zone because last time I checked you are NOT allowed to visit other cities when you are in red zone. This is the BEST restaurant I have ever been to. The flavours and presentation of the food is EXQUISITE and The Curly Willow Eatery is the BEST restaurant in Collingwood/Blue Mountain area. The customer service is SUPERB and the environment is LOVELY. Even though I live far from the area and it wouldn t affect me, I am glad and respect the owners for following Covid guidelines and it s a SHAME that people have gone this low in these tough times to write reviews like this. Please don t listen to these horrible reviews and visit the Curly Willow Eatery. Plus, you know they are following Covid guidelines and you will know you are dining SAFELY.

We had a lovely lunch here today! Great food and very friendly service! We will definitely be back.

For my wife s birthday, we celebrated with a take out dinner from The Curly Willow. We heard only great things about this restaurant but had never tried it ourselves, until last night. We both chose the stuffed chicken with a Caesar salad to begin, and a lovely chocolate caramel pecan dessert to end. The food was beautifully packed for take out, and piping hot, delivered to our car on the dot of our scheduled pick up time. The dinner was beyond excellent, from the salad through to the dessert, with the added goodwill of a birthday candle included with the dessert. We will definitely be returning to The Curly Willow and look forward to bringing friends with us once we are allowed to celebrate together.

Very friendly service only outdone by the food. Plan to return soon.

I havent had the pleasure of dinning in this eatery as of yet but searched for a great place to treat a fabulous teacher and 10/10 people referred me to the Curly Willow. Mike ( Im assuming is the owner or manager) has customer service skills like no other! Thank you Mike for allowing me to purchase a GC over the phone and for personally delivering it to Mountain View ES for me.

Wow! Best sit down meal weve had in Collingwood yet.

We had a very nice experience at The Curly Willow this week. Very nice patio, friendly and professional service. Pan seared scallops cooked perfectly. Coconut shrimp were delicious and our steaks were of great quality and cooked as ordered. Prices are very reasonable. My only suggestion would be a more diverse wine list but its possible this is related to covid to keep inventory at a manageable level. Will definitely come back.

My husband and I ordered from here tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Service was super warm and friendly, you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I got the Thai curry bowl and he got the sirloin burger. The flavours and ingredients were super fresh and delicious. We will absolutely be ordering again!!

My Mothers Day gift from my daughter, was lunch delivered at noon from the Curly Willow. Superb meal included beautiful flowers, and mimosa fixings. One of the best Mothers Day gift ever!

We ordered the Mother s Day Brunch during the pandemic. Not only was the food warm and delicious when we unpacked it, they also included flowers, orange juice with champagne and two desserts. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Collingwood and we want to make sure it stays open. Thank you Linda and Mike for making this mother/grandmother feel special.

Excellent service during COVID times. Take out was delivered curb side EXACTLY on time. Was hot and absolutely delicious. Once we are able to sit inside we will definitely be returning!

we booked a reservation and I was a little unsure what the ambiance would be like when I did satellite view on google maps, but I was wrong. The ambiance was really nice, they did a fantastic job with their patio and the music was very relaxing. The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

As a longtime customer and 25 year owner at Lighthouse Point, my family and I won t be back to Mike and Linda s restaurant. Over the years we have spent more and more time up North (and have stayed in Collingwood inclusively since the beginning of the Pandemic in March) but keep our principal residence in Caledon and now you are turning us away? I m sure you welcome supplier deliveries etc. from non-local residents in order to keep your business going. I hope the surge of local support continues after the Pandemic and that you don t require non local and tourist dollars to maintain your restaurant and make a living. Your recent policy is very short sighted.

A go to spot for me and my friends. Great Food & Always a good experience! I personally support the decision they have made, in an already difficult time for everyone. I personally thank the owners for prioritizing safety precautions over profits!! Although COVID has gotten in the way of my planned visit, I will continue to support and recommend this business.

Amazing little food paradise hidden in Collingwood, great food great staff great service

Every time we visit Mike, Linda and Jaye at the Curly Window we experience the most fun (Mike is quite a ham!), fabulous fresh cooked meals by Linda and terrific service by Jaye. This little family run gem of a restaurant is exceptional. Linda will make something gluten free out of the air for me and my husband and I and our friends always leave satisfied with a smile on our faces.

I have dined here a couple times before. It was convenient spot from where I usually stay. The service and food were alright. But oddly enough I got denied service because my driver license is from a red zone area? Even though I m here for another 2 months, they have denied their service to me and made me feel like a second class citizen. I will be filing a human rights complaint. I got audio, and photos of the ridiculous self-governing that breaks every human rights code in Canada. Good riddance. EDIT: Explain that to the human rights tribunal when they contact you. To all the patrons who have been denied, it s easy to fill out a complaint. Don t forget to include any video/audio or photos. Don t let you rights be infringed.

I am here to give a little love & support to the Curly Willow! I went to the Curly Willow a few months back & had a wonderful meal with my boyfriend. Although the cook of my salmon was a little bit underdone, it was completely forgivable as my waitress was quick to fix the issue with me & gave me a free dessert. My boyfriend and I were very thankful for the free dessert and were very pleased with our dinner. To this day, we claim it is the best place we have dined! Those complaining need to understand that this is a local business & peoples incomes are being affected during this pandemic. The owners of this business have every right to keep themselves, their staff & local customers safe. I hope to come here once again in the future, as I absolutely loved the food here & I will continue to stand up for this restaurant. Before all the people complaining about the new COVID protocols came, this restaurant had a 4.8 rating & for good reason! I am appalled to these people have decided to bring down the rating from 4.8 to 4.2 just because they cannot respect the fact that the people running this restaurant want to stay safe.

Cozy lunch spot hidden in downtown Collingwood. .The mushroom ravioli is AWESOME! I wanted to lick the bowl clean. Lovely Caesar salad. The mini desserts are perfect size and incredible tasting. Staff are so lovely and passionate about good food and good service. LOVE the rustic decor and the atmosphere.highly reccomend for a private event. The food will blow everyone away. You gotta eat here!

The food was good, service ok. The place is quite small, gets noisy when is almost full. Otherwise mostly ok.

Great food. Great service. Love the idea of a mini desert selection. Great way to finish off a lovely meal. Their new location on Pine Street continues to provide the same excellent service and quality food. It is a place that I always look forward to visiting. I have tried several of their menus offerings and have never been disappointed. Lunch time reservation are recommended if you dont want to be disappointed. They are frequently very busy at lunchtime.

We came here for our wedding reception with a small party. Leading up to our big day we had a lot of issues with other businesses we had hired in collingwood, but the people and food at the curly willow absolutely blew us away. We could not have been happier with not only the outstanding service, but the unbelievably delicious dinner. Their new outside patio was a perfect setting to end our special day. We cant thank them enough, and if we could give them 10 out of 5 stars we would!

Amazing little restaurant run by a husband and wife. The food is always on point and their rotating features are delicious. If you are in Collingwood you absolutely have to stop by and eat here although call ahead as seating is limited and this place is popular!

Mike and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating and the food is incredible!! We chose The Cury Willow as we are on the Keto diet and noticed that they had a few Keto friendly options..what we did not realize is that they have an actual Keto menu! We had the crustless quiche (how do they get that texture?..amazing), side caesar salad and in house homemade chocolate keto ice cream. The restaurant has a fresh and bright atmosphere, and the food is very reasonably priced which rounds off the experience. A must visit when in Collingwood :)

The owners have checked off all the boxes: decor, service, really creative menu, great prices, a very inviting patio, super friendly staff, local sourcing, delicious tastes, lunch and dinner availability. I could go on, but thatll stop you from heading down there. Also love that we can get some keto and gluten-free choices and have a glass of something nice with our meal. What a charming restaurant! Greeted by the owner who was funny, engaging and obviously so proud of his wifes cooking. I had their mile-high crustless quiche and side salad and it was excellent! My son had the chicken penne with rose sauce and loved it - really generous portions and top quality home cooking. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend it!

I love everything about this place: Maybe the best customer service I ve ever had, family owned and operated by an amazing couple, phenomenal homemade food and beautiful recently renovated restaurant and patio. I came in to get change for parking and one of the owners, Mike, generously paid for my parking meter. Then I sat out on the patio which I loved. Mike served me and he was absolutely phenomenal; extremely friendly, hilarious, polite and just an amazing host. I could tell he took great pride in his restaurant and loved serving people. He was also serving other groups of people who were obviously regulars and he joked around with them and made everyone laugh. His wife made me an absolutely amazing mushroom ravioli from scratch which I would definitely order again. The whole experience was so great, I can t say enough good things. I will definitely come back the next time I m in collingwood.

This place is a hidden gem located at the rear of a wonderful gif shop. The service was very personalized and welcoming. The food was excellent and nicely presented. Loved the idea of a small portion dessert being offered. Definitely worth a visit.

Met a friend for lunch. Love the interior and the staff are so friendly. Had the crab cakes and the feature of the day (lasagne), both of which were homemade and very tasty. Will definitely return.

Just had this amazing lobster risotto!

What a beautiful eatery! With its woodland atmosphere I felt completely at ease. The service was impeccable; our server joked with us, and was never too far away. The lobster stuffed mushroom caps were to die for, and their homemade salad dressing made our leafy greens great. The mushroom ravioli was creamy and had the perfect amount of salt. This restaurant does comfort food better than I do. Will be returning here for sure!

Loved the grilled lobster cheese sandwich. A wonderful lunch experience.
