I ordered from Curry Cottage via Skip the Dishes, and unfortunately, the delivery driver was delayed by an hour and a half, picking up other orders before mine...The restaurant owner noticed my food was going cold and personally called to let me know about the situation. We were ready to cancel our order, but the owner, showing great kindness, personally delivered the food himself! He apologized, explained it was still hot but acknowledged it might not taste as fresh as it would if delivered promptly. He even called 30 minutes later to check in on how everything tasted. The food was still delicious despite the delay, but what really stood out was the owner's exceptional customer service and kindness. We truly appreciated how much he cared. I highly recommend The Curry Cottage not only for their great food but for their outstanding service and dedication to their customers!!
Food was amazing! Had the curry flight between the two of us to sample a little of everything. Restaurant was training some new young staff, they acknowledged this and we cut them some slack and had a great dinner!
This is a great local spot in Comox. The beef keemah so delicious. My friends were also satisfied with their dishes.
I accidentally ordered a dish I could not eat (I am gluten free) and the staff were awesome about offering suggestions and quick to deliver my food decision. I have to say that the dish I ordered smelled amazing!! I wish I could have eaten it without consequences
Food wise I was very happy. The owner was invested in making sure the table was happy, very friendly demeanor. My mother ordered a non-gf item which was promptly returned to the kitchen and replaced after she realized this. No drama, super positive attitude from all staff.
My Fiancee and I were looking for a new place to try for date night and we decided to try The Curry Cottage, and it was a remarkable experience. We have tried a few new places recently but none really stood out, but The Curry Cottage definitely did. The service was fantastic, and the food was a next-level experience. There wasn't a single dish or component that was lacking, or wasn't note worthy. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable. Side note, I have a very high heat tolerance their "hot" level is no joke, in the best way. All in all, The Curry Cottage was a great experience and we will definitely be going back, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Loveeee the Curry Cottage! Every dish I have ordered has been amazing and full of flavour. My favorite is definitely the Cheeky Chicken and I recommend to all my friends! The dishes are so unique, a fun fusion of Indian and Western cuisine. Great family run business in Comox! Thank you to the team at Curry Cottage.💞
Nice little restaurant. Great customer service! Food was delicious 😋 We ordered the cheeky chicken, it was a good size portion. Also got the tacos, they were delicious too, but more of an appetizer size then a main meal. But still really delicious! We also tried the cauliflower bites, and we really enjoyed them! Even my kids ate them! Next time we will eat in so we can enjoy a beer! Delicious and will be happy to go again!
Such a gem in the Comox Valley! Service is excellent, and I genuinely dont understand why more places dont do a curry flight-- its perfect.
Cozy culinary colossus! The butter chicken burrito was the bomb.
Fun place for Indian cuisine! Great menu, a bit of fusion. Really enjoyed :)
Every time we have come here the food has been outstanding and the service even better. This time we were even given a little sample of a curry off of the specials menu just to try out. Highly recommend this place for a great meal with a genuine family run feel.
Super yummy food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back again!!
I am So happy we have such a great Indian restaurant so close to home! Each meal has been very good and filling. I see the owners taking great care on service and meal prep and completely I enjoy each dish. Possibly the best garlic naan in the whole town too! I have spent months backpacking India and love the cuisine here at The Curry Cottage and to have a joint like this in my hometown is wonderful. The interior is themed more local than any cheezy kind of Indian knock off, it is clearly an honest family making great food they know for people here in their community, no cheap tries at being something stereotype, just really good food at a fair price that leaves me happy every time I visit! Thank you Curry Cottage!
One of the fabulous restaurants. Food was so authentic and tasty.
Amazing service and food was absolutely delicious! - Just like being back in the UK! Everything is made in house, portions are generous and very fair priced. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much!
We moved to Comox in Aug and very glad we found this place tonite. What a gem for Comox! Service is good and attention paid to all customers not just us. The food is authentic and very tasty . Loved it and will be back for sure. I only have a 3 for atmosphere because I think this establishment deserves a much bigger beautiful space(maybe one day)
Best food in the Comox Valley... oh my goodness the care and attention to detail on the dishes... top notch. Super friendly staff, thank you so much
This restaurant was an incredibly refreshing surprise. I am a keen foodie, lover of all Indian cooking (a professional caterer)so I appreciated the versatile menu, making great use of local fresh ingredients such as farm goods and fish. The fusion aspect is the most refreshing part, where having Marsala fish & chips, or Indian fusion bowls and wraps, topped with fresh arugula is fun and pleasant to the eye, not just the taste buds. I ordered the curried sockeye. The filet was cooked to perfection, moist and a good size, napped over fragrant rice, topped with a fresh cilantro infused coconut chutney. The garlic Naan was buttery, flakey and pulled apart with perfect chewyness to scoop the curry with. The owners show great pride in their family business, which is an incredible asset to their quality and care. Sometimes the best places, are the smallest gems! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian choices that look so good they could appeal to non-vegetarians as well. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options available, with hosts that double check to confirm and offer alternatives. Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere, friendly hosts/owners that are involved with their clients. More options to choose from on the menu for kids, other than the usual fare. A local/seasonal fruit plate would be a great addition to their choices
Food was great. We ordered buttered chicken and it was a 5/5
Absolutely authentic & delicious! Everything homemade on the premises. Prices were reasonable! Highly recommend! We will be back!
This is not your typical Indian restaurant found in the West. The food here is remarkable. We ordered a variety of dishes, dessert and drinks. Both simple and complex dishes were cooked to perfection and assembled in a genius fashion. I intend to return and try every item on the menu!
Amazing food and service. The mango cutney is incredible - homemade and so rich. The naan is also exceptional. Highly highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Great vegan curries.
Really good food. Loved it .
The food was absolutely incredible. From the rich, flavorful curries to the perfectly baked naan, every dish was bursting with traditional spices and fresh ingredients.
Sharing combo was great, highly recommend. Was skeptical on vegan butter chicken but it was really good
One of the best Chicken Tikka i have ever had.. loved it Food
Never got to try the food unfortunately. My husband and I went in for a late afternoon snack. There was a sign on the door saying they were opening at 3pm due to a catering order. We waited 30 minutes for it to open up and when we went back there was an open sign on but when I walked in they said they weren t opening till 4pm. I told them we had been waiting 30 minutes and that the sign originally said 3pm and he told me I was wrong. It was strange and I got slightly gaslit. Wouldn t recommend
The food was OK, but really nothing special. The starters were tasty, but couldnt keep up with the main courses. The butter chicken was bland and bland. The chicken chorizo was also unspectacular. The main courses lacked the kick (and by that I dont mean the spiciness). The naan, however, was excellent! I was hoping for more based on the review. Service is currently being trained and seems a little overwhelmed. Owner very nice and does his best to teach. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything on the ground floor
After a long haul day my daughter and I came in just before closing - not ideal we know ! the owner was so wonderful and welcoming - we insisted we d be quick and happy to take take out - take out and service was so so so so good! Can t wait to come Back !!!! Food
Good food in Comox. Visiting the city and wanting some ethnic food. The wait was long but worth it! We had dine in and waited for 30 mins for our food but it was delicious.
Awesome
All around great place to eat after riding the trails. The place, the food and service are all top notch.
I agree with other reviews saying that the curries were a little soupy but they tasted great so I didn t mind. The service was phenomenal. I love how many vegan options there were. I also loved that they do kid sized servings. They were the perfect size for my boys. I was most blown away by the vegan garlic naan. So delicious. We will definitely come back.
The ambiance is nice. Lots of people come
All the food was delicious. We loved the lamb curry, the goat curry and the naans. It is easy to see the care they put into their food and the experience of their customers.
Lamb curry plate was amazing. Great local spot
Delicious perfect food. Proud owner enjoying seeing his customers joy. Really really really good food! Can t wait to return!
The owner is very nice and accommodating. The food is wonderful.
Quite literally my favorite restaurant in the valley. Besides the staff being so accommodating and friendly, the food IS SO GOOD. I havent had a dish I didnt like. The atmosphere is great. I have never had to wait to long to get my food. They also accommodate my partners allergies very well. Truly one of the best restaurants around. 11/10!
Excellent food! Curries and other dishes are delicious. Very fresh and nicely spiced, individual orders for adjusted for heat. My favorite ethnic restaurant in the Comox Valley!
The food here is seriously delicious! Always tastes really fresh and the menu is nicely varied and interesting. A total favourite.
Fantastic meal tonight at the Curry Cottage. Love the cauliflower bites and the vegan buttered chikn bowl was fantastic. :)
Pleasant uplifting atmosphere, and amazing, fresh food. Its not greasy or oily, tastes delicious and ingredients are high quality. Awesome!
Its been awhile since I uave had really good indian food. I honestly wasnt expecting much but WOW. I had curreid goat special. It was amazing. The service was fantastic. Such a friendly quaint place. Definitely give it a try.
Some of the best Indian Curry weve ever had. Fresh tasting without overbearing on the spices. Great experience and worth the trip.
EDIT: June 2024 we love this place! Its become one of our top choices ~ really unique gourmet top quality dishes & the staff are fantastic ~ whether you dine in or order out, you will be blown away! highly recommend, we are lucky to have such a top spot in the Comox Valley. The delish Chicken wrap was gorgeous presentation, gourmet flavours & every bite oozes excellence! Our fave):- We also had the Masala Fish & Chips + Cauliflower bites, both very good. Will be back! Excited to try more dishes. Highly recommend, unique fusion food.
HD take out. They mixed up the order but added extra meat to compensate. A very eclectic Indian fusion menu. I stuck with a more traditional lamb and spinach dish. Well spiced at medium level , good portions but more of a wet/sauce richstyle than what I normally have. Seems decent value. May be back for one of their more eclectic offerings.
Such great flavour. Really good portions. We picked up very well packaged. The room is cool too if you eat in. 10/10
Absolutely excellent. Take out but on time delicious perfect portion sizes. We shall visit again. Food
Top notch!!!!!
Best garlic naan Ive ever had, hands down. Rice too. Every dish Ive tried so far has been excellent, you cant go wrong. Lovely people too! Got married, and then went directly here afterwards for a celebration meal. Excellent food. Parking: A few spots in their lot which have always been available even when busy, and a big lot across the street.
Everything is fantastic here.
We had a really good meal here. Excellent curry, fast and friendly service. Highly recommended! The attached picture is the flight of 5 curries (it also included extra rice and a generous portion of garlic naan)
Good
The food is always delicious, full of flavour and made with love. The service is always outstanding, they always remember our order and spice level.
We brought our 1 year old and had such a great experience. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. Our son loved the cauliflower bites, naan and chickpeas! Everything was delicious and we ordered enough for take out to enjoy tomorrow. Well be back! Kid-friendliness: High chairs and enough space to enjoy with a baby
Had my first proper curry experience here, and it was absolutely delicious. Tried the lamb shank and it was so tender it peeled clean off the bone with no effort! Medium heat was just the right level of spicy and the flavour was fantastic. Super stoked to come back some time in the future!
I haven t had Indian fusion OR Indian cuisine worth eating in Comox until nowFantastic service, fantastic food and a really cool atmosphere. This is what Comox has needed for a long long time!
Ordered take out tonight for the first time and I was absolutely blown away with how incredible it tasted!! The smells were so intoxicating that I actually had to pull over and dig into my samosa with my bare hands. 12/10. Highly recommend. Dont miss an opportunity to eat here - you wont regret it.
Maybe its better in restaurant But the food came to us cold.. like actually cold. Not packaged nice. Super small portions (like a tablespoon of sauce ) and virtually NO flavor.. no flavor... This is the reason to eat at a place like this. Ill stick to spice hut. Such a disappointment EDIT: I decided to give this place another try. They are ONLY A 1.9KM AWAY ... Food came COLD AGAIN!!! Like how !? The malai kofta was sub par in comparison to many other places. -lacks flavor, no spice.
I just got take out and the food was amazing and the server was incredibly helpful and sweet i will definitely be back :) I m so excited to discover this gem
I ve been here three or four times now. Such delicious food! I am aiming to try everything on the menu. Friendly attentive service.
Went in for dinner the other night and was blown away by the great food. Service was great as well! I forgot to mention my food allergy to some of the garnish on top of my meal and I was immediately met with apologies and great service even though this was entirely my fault. The chef whipped up another plate right away and was kind enough to chat with my girlfriend and I. I also orded my spice level as hot and it came out perfectly. I find it very rare that places in the valley get the spice level above a medium. I would recommend this place to anyone and am definitely coming back.
Im just a white boy from Alberta and not a curry expert, but I HAVe eaten curry all over the world including India and this place is maybe the best Ive ever had. Absolutely amazing, 10/10 food.
Such a treat to have authentic Indian food in the valley! I could close my eyes and almost imagine I was back in Mungeli or Jobat enjoying a wonderful fest for the senses. Thank you for being here.
I recently dined here, hoping to experience authentic Indian flavors. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. Not only did the food lack the true essence of Indian cuisine, but the owners rude demeanor further soured the experience. Despite receiving a complimentary drink, the overall value was far below expectations.
I was searching for places to eat in the local area while driving back home to Abbotsford with my wife and this place popped up. I dont normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. Amazing Experience ! If you thought gourmet kitchen will leave you hungry, Think Again. You should skip several meals before visiting this amazing restaurant. This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Everything is so tasty, you cant restraint yourself from having all of the dishes. Their Lamb Shank & Chicken Wings are absolutely incredible. The tenderness of meat and their flavor is unforgettable. I love the service at this place. Waitress is very nice and understanding. Its a family run business & the Owner (Lady & Gentleman) are so friendly with the guests and always take care to offer the best quality. The whole experience from start to finish is great. The food cant get better & the prices are fair for the portion size. This visit has made one of my favorite spot within Courtenay and Comox. I highly recommend this Gem.
Mind. Blown. Such flavorful, beautiful food. Great friendly service too!
Wonderful food, service and staff...celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary with friends. They were so kind, discovered it was our anniversary...gave us a complimentary dessert...very thoughtful:)
WOW first time here and we were very impressed. Had the Chad and it was well balanced with bright flavors. Staff was extremely helpful. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended Wheelchair accessibility: Good
Great authentic food with a fresh take. The chef said hello and told us everything is prepared in house from local sources. We will return.
Definitely coming back here - amazing flavour fusions, made fresh and small batch. This place was a hit for kids and parents alike! The service was exceptional. This truly is a gem.
First time ordering today, and it was SPECTACULAR! Had the Chicken Salad and Kale/Spinach Fritters. Absolutely wonderful flavours and we ll prepared! Will be ordering again for sure. Highly recommend!
Nav was our wonderful hostess. We each ordered something different. My husband was Indian hot as Nav stated!! I was mild. Both dishes were fantastic and very tasty with a blend of different spices. We enjoyed the sizzling brownie dessert and wine with supper. We highly recommend this cozy cottage and will definitely return! Rashim and Sonny also came to our table to chat. A wonderful atmosphere! Vegetarian options: Lots of choices Parking: On one level street access. Great parking
This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the valley. The food is amazing! Delicious flavours, beautiful presentation, and the dishes are so fresh. Everytime I eat here I aim to take a picture of the photogenic plate but I get excited and end up devouring it first. Im always happy when I find a yummy place with a variety of vegetarian options. Oh and nice beers too ;) Very hospitable and attentive service. You should definitely try the Chaat (and everything else of course). Im already looking forward to my next visit.
Can t believe we waited so long to try this place! Everything from the food to atmosphere and service was impeccable. We will definitely be going back! Best naan I ve ever had and the chorizo chicken was amazing!
Great service and absolutely delicious!
Great Butter Chicken bowl. Sauce is amazing. Mild was just right. We ll be back!
Delicious fresh food, friendly service. Loved the fusion and the traditional dishes. We had several food allergies in our group and all of their needs were met with care. A win for the valley for sure!
Incredible food served here, executed with care and beautiful presentation. My favourite Indian food in the Valley by far. Service is great and have some good drinks to choose from. Delicious! Vegetarian options: They have lots of veggie options and will accommodate spice level
Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere is cozy like a cottage, the staff are beyond nice and fantastic. If anyone is looking for an amazing date night or place to hangout with the friends this is it. Will 100 percent be coming back and 100percent would recomend to anyone. What an amazing exsperience.
Amazing food and service. The ribs and blueberry curry was so so so good!!! Nice comfortable atmosphere and the owners were so great!! We are definitely going back.
Excellent food and service.
Such a little gem of a place. Good food in a relaxing atmosphere. The service and people are awesome. Im in love with the Spinach, Kale fritters !
Sonny, the owner was so welcoming. I love this new restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic. I will definitely go back for the curry flight.
The womens washroom is absolutely freezing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch combo boxes. The portion size was a bit on the small size, but the quality/taste of the food was outstanding! The service was great, too.
Excellent server, amazing food, and a great beer from Land and Sea. 6 stars, not kidding.
Highly recommend eating here for so many reasons; the food is outstanding, the atmosphere is cosy and warm, and the service is exceptional. Our curries were so delicious, with the perfect level of spice. Our kids loved their orders of fish and chips from the kids menu, and the adults were happy with the beer selection on tap. The owners are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
We just finished lunch at the Curry Cottage and can t wait to go back. There were so many creative options, it was hard to decide. We had the Five Curries flight, and every dish was so fresh, flavourful, and just the right amount of heat. The fresh made naan bread melted in my mouth. We finished with the delicious sizzling brownie which also happened to be gluten free. The family/owners make you feel like they are your friends and are happy to chat and educate you on the food ingredients and preparation. I was so happy to hear that their brews, meat, and other ingredients are locally sourced. You can tell that this restaurant is the owners passion and not just a business. Vegetarian options: Too many vegetarian options to list. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan, and gluten free options. Parking: Ample parking close to the front door. Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious, one-level flooring
Really enjoyed our date night at the Curry Cottage. If youre looking for something a little different then certainly try them out. The food is wonderful.
Never had beetroot in a curry, but will definitely have it again. I will definitely be considering the drive from Victoria next time a curry is the meal of choice for the evening!
Best Indian food in the Comox valley, family run and friendly service, busy eclectic social dining room, and great beer on tap. Would definitely recommended a dining experience here, especially if you want to try something different! Plus less expensive than the fancy places for beautiful presentation and delicious food. Curry salmon was delicious and so was the vegetarian curry
A friend of mine and I just had lunch at the Curry Cottage - Tap and Grill. Wow! We had the Cauliflower bites with cauliflower that was still crispy, juicy and so tasty. We shared the Spicy Grandma Yogurt Curry Bowl with a chickpea sauce, small potatoes, green beans, shredded pickled beet/carrot and cherry tomatoes with rice. It was absolutely delicious. I wanted to lick the plate. They use freshly ground spices and as many locally sourced ingredients as they can. Sunny said they are hoping to do frozen take out dishes in the future which sounded great to a couple of us spicy grandmas. Give it a try. If you like curry made from scratch, it wont disappoint. You might even get to meet the whole family! Great local beer selections too. We didnt have wine but it too had local choices. Vegetarian options: The delicious spicy grandma Curry was vegetarian and one of many on the menu. Parking: Limited parking in their lot for lunch but plenty across the street and lots at dinner. Kid-friendliness: The fact that their own kids were there ( it was spring break) shows how kid friendly the restaurant is.
Nice family run place with awesome Indian food. We had the samosa chaat bowl, lamb spinach bowl, chai, and fries. Great service - we will be back if in the Comox area again!
One of the best Indian fusion restaurants Ive been to. stumbled upon it on a road trip and would certainly recommend it. Its not cheap but worth every penny and its ingredients are locally sourced.
The vegan option was delicious and the service was friendly.
Words cannot describe how delicious my dinner was at the Curry Cottage. We went for a group dinner and everyone was over the moon with their meal. The flavors, portion sizes, and service was excellent. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their menu!
Just had the lunch special, very delicious so get down there and go see Sunny &Rashim cause youre gonna love em too
Just had lunch here, and it was delicious! We had the chickpea curry bowl (so yummy and flavourful), the papadums, and the curry bites. We enjoyed everything we had, and will definitely return to try some of their other dishes. Great service as well- the owners were kind and checked in on us regularly throughout our meal. Thanks for a great experience! Vegetarian options: Many of the menu options were vegetarian!
So delicious and the staff were so welcoming and kind. Highly recommend.
The flight of curries was incredible! Really great food, atmosphere, and service. So glad you re here!
Fantastic, fabulous, flavour food that leaves you feeling flabbergasted at it s deliciousness. Vegetarian options: Changed dishes so we could enjoy the flight with all veggies dishes.
One visit and I am hooked. I will definitely be going back. The food was amazing, the service was friendly. Go check them out and support a local family run restaurant.
Top shelf
Excellent fusion restaurant. Really creative flavour combinations.
Food was delicious !!!!
I had a wonderful curry. Pleasant owners who loved conversing. Best chai in the area...the lamb shank was exceptional...

Best curry in town
When you walk into this restaurant it smells like you ve just been welcomed home with a warm, loving hug. I was salivating immediately. The owners and staff are SO lovely - and the FOOD is INCREDIBLE!!! I have dreams about the butter chicken tacos. You must try this gem. We are so lucky to have this place in Comox! Please support often so we can enjoy for years to come!!
Everything made in-house and 100% delicious. The saassy tostadas chaat and the butter chicken tacos were phenomenal. The beer was excellent and was all local.
Amazing flavours. Had the chickpea based curry and the coconut curry and they were both so flavourful. The chef came out and asked me about my dairy preferences and gave me recommendations for changes. He was even helping out the server here and there, what an amazing place to find on our drive home.
Food tasted amazing. Service and ambience is great. Definitely suggested.
This place has the best food with taste and quality.... We has there daal masala bowl the lentils were cooked with perfectly nicely diced out with poppadums. We ordered their fish and chips too. I also ordered their French fries which were masala fries and I loved them... Friendly staff Thank you guys

One of the best Indian food Ive ever tried #bestbutterchicken Vegetarian options: There are many VEG option GF option and Vegn option. Kid-friendliness: Kids chair are provided
Nice place and nice folks!
Nice small simple laid back restaurant. Very reasonably priced and great food. Way better quality than Spice hut which is near by too. This Curry Cottage is small and hidden yet way worth the visit . Lots of delicious dishes and they really care about their customers. I highly recommend it if you re in Comox . Please try it first ! Way way better others in the area. Vegetarian options: Lots of options Dietary restrictions: Lots of options Parking: Lots of empty space Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, spice level can be very mild Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Loved it! Super delicious food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come here again.
Having recently relocated from the city, we were delighted to find big city quality curry in little Comox. Family run, the vibe is friendly and the flavours are fantastic! And most unusually, for this type of restaurant, beer lovers can experiment with a variety of craft brews.
Best Indian food in the Comox valley by far. Not even really a contest.
Amazing curries. I highly recommend going for the curry flight. You wont be disappointed
Excellent food, very friendly service, very clean toilets, simply recommended!
Arrived here spontaneously on vacation and had a really delicious meal. Really recommended.
Absolutely loved the food. The kicker is so does my six year old son - he says he craves their butter chicken (and my son doesnt like chicken...wont even eat fried breaded chicken fingers...). Recommend supporting this small business!
The place is truly a hidden gem. The owners are amazing and the food is to die for. Definetly one of the best places in the Comox Valley.
I had the spinach and lamb rice bowl my husband had the butter chicken bowl, absolutely delicious!
Screw up on skip the dishes part. Amazing chef, great people and great service. The fish and chips fusion dish is absolutely delicious. Thank you for making my day better. Food : 5/5
So delicious! Went for my birthday and got the share platter. They gave us extra poppadums so we could try all the chutneys. We loved everything but especially the butter chicken and the daal. The service was so nice, the chef even came out to check that the spice level was right. They have delicious homemade drinks too! Will definitely go back.
Great food! The five-curry flight is amazing, the staff is warm and the atmosphere is vibrant. LOVE Curry Cottage.
Hands down the best Indian food I have ever tasted, I took my mum there and she said the same. Rashim and Sunny are so kind and their smiling faces add to the beauty of the atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back as much as we can, especially considering my pregnancy cravings have been demanding it lol.
Unbelievable fish pakoras Service is amazing Very good experience Food : 5/5
Ordered fish pakora and butter chicken. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Food : 5/5
Stopped in spontaneously and were not disappointed. Clean, cozy, friendly and the food was amazing!
Fantastic taste, the butter chicken quesadillas are a must try, along with their butter chicken tacos, the meals are well balanced flavour wise. Their beer selection ranges from a honey cream lager by ace brewery, hoyne dark matter, and Gladstone IPA. Staff are friendly but the atmosphere is a little cold otherwise it was a good dining experience.
Happy staff at a happy place
Amazing service
That was pretty much the best food I ever ate . I was shocked. The flavours were amazing . It was creative and had awesome presentation and staff was welcoming and friendly.
The absolute best Indian food Ive ever had.. The BEST people, fantastic service, unbelievable food.. This is a destination restaurant..guaranteed youll be impressed!
Just had the lunch special, two curry s with rice, naan and mug of chai! Perfect amount of food and delicious curries!! The butter chicken was amazingly delicious!!! Will go again!!
If 6 stars were a thing, the Curry Cottage would have it. Incredibly friendly staff, and the owner goes above and beyond to ensure an amazing dining experience whether its an order of 60 bowls for a work event or takeout for two. One of the tastiest spots in the valley, hands down.
Great Flavours!! Salmon Curry was Wonderful!
easily deserves 5 stars, this is my 3rd experience here and this place has not disappointed, phenomenal service, exceptional food experience and nice chill atmosphere!!....highly recommend
Picked up a to-go order. Both main dishes were more liquid than hearty substance. For instance one had lamb, and it was basically a bowl of water gravy with a handful of meat. Lentil curry, was once again so liquid it was more a weak soup. For $60 for two people we were not full. So overall quality and volume were not worth it.
Excellent food. Great options, warm environment. Food
Warm and welcoming environment, enjoyed a delicious meal. Hilarious waitress, best server I ve had in a long time. Food
Very bad experience. Ordered food from this place and the person responsible for packaging it utterly messed up my order. So bad that it leaked through the packaging and fell on my documents. Leaked onto my winter coat as well! Very disappointed at this place, and I wont be returning
The finest food in our beautiful town! I recommend Grandmas yogurt and Tacos. Kid-friendliness: My daughter love their food and admires the chefs because they always great us as family. Wheelchair accessibility: They will accommodate anyone Very friendly to me and supportive
Delicious food, best ever tofu tikka had in canada whatever i ordered was delicious
It was recommended by our optometrist and we were very pleased with the food and service, highly recommended.
Just had our first meal at Curry Cottage. Well be back! Very friendly and polite service both on the phone and when picking up our order. Food was excellent - delicious, beautiful presentation, perfect portion size. Also gluten free and vegetarian options. I will recommend The Curry Cottage Tap and Grill to my friends. Vegetarian options: Im not vegetarian, but appreciate that vegetarian and Gluten free options were available.
Grabbed take out for a special occassion. The food was amazing! Tried a range of curries and had the samosa appetizer. Will definitely order again. The staff were great and helpful with amounts to order. Lovely people and delish food :)
I recently tried out this Indian restaurant, and it was awesome! Theyve got a focused menu with really good, homey food made with quality ingredients and that make a big difference. I didnt leave with that super heavy feeling I sometimes get after Indian food, but I still got all those fantastic spicy tastes. Its just plain delicious! Vegetarian options: Malai kofta
Really good and authentic taste surely be there again soon
My friend and I stopped in for dinner tonight before our annual Christmas light drive. We each ordered the salmon curry dish and it was drool worthy .right down to the last bite. Service top notch food amazing .highly recommend this cozy restaurant with good vibes and good food.
Every time I leave the Curry Cottage I think I should come more often. The flavours are rich and comforting with a certain je ne sais quoi that sets it apart from every other restaurant serving Indian food. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced for what youre getting. If you havent tried it yet you should.... Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious options for vegetarians. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the food, they wanted to try some of everything and are not happy with me when I say I went back without them. The owners and staff make kids feel welcome.
Absolutely amazing staff, service and food. The Owners of Curry Cottage know how to make you feel like a VIP, and their food matches their incredible hospitality. This is the best Indian food on the North Island hands down! It s a must-do food experience in the Comox Valley
Truly inspired cooking with great balance of flavour. Rich spices and nice bright notes (pickles, chutneys, herbs). Operated by sweet young family and the kind lady who served us took time to explain the menu and make suggestions. Highly recommended.
This was the most amazing food!! The fried veggie wrap was phenomenal and I could live off the garlic naan!! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so friendly! This will be a must every time I am in town!!
Food is so fresh and delicious
Love the food. Not your run of the mill Indian food, even the depfried food such as the wraps arent heavy. Great addition to Comox.
Good variety on the menu, great flavors and very friendly staff. Well be back.
Amazing food...friendly, informative staff and a great atmosphere! Will definitely be returning to try some more menu items! Pictured below is the cauliflower bites as an appy and for entrées we had the cheeky chicken wrap and the Curry goat bowl!
Always nice to find a new place to eat around the corner. We tried two appetizers for a snack today because we didn t have enough time to sit down. The cauliflower bites were tasty and well presented however the kale spinach pakora s were a bit of a fail to put it lightly. They crumbled into the paper bag they were served in without much distress and sadly lacked in substance. Will have to return to try the more quintessential dishes, hoping to revise my review. Don t let this sway your decision, it s just my take from today experience.
Such a great family owned restaurant. Very passionate about their food and it shows in the flavours! Highly recommend.
Always great to have a new eatery open in the community, although our first experience was not 100%. The good: It was encouraging to see the owners using environmentally sensitive containers for their take-out, versus foam, well done! Also good was their naan! The bad: -Portion size was insufficient for the cost. We ordered a butter chicken and a goat curry combo and a side of pakoras. With tip and taxes, just over $60. Tiny combo containers, more appropriate for a snack, not a supper. -Pakoras had to be eaten with a spoon. We were handed a bag of deep fried crumbs unlike any pakoras I d ever had. -Combos were seriously lacking in any kind of flavour or spice. We specifically ordered Indian hot , which the order taker acknowledged. What we got was near flavourless butter chicken, and what must have been boiled goat with no sauce or spice at all. Maybe these folks were having a bad day. With a very successful Indian curry house down the road and an even better one at the bottom of Ryan Road, I hope that the owners of the Curry Cottage are able to up their game and remain for the long haul!
My wife and I shared the goat curry and the cheeky chicken and it was absolutely amazing. The owners, Rashim and Sunny, are such nice people and we cant wait to go back!
I dropped in after hearing a former coworker had opened this business and a friend recommending it to me. I was blown away. The atmosphere is warm and cozy as is the service. The prices are also very good, especially given the fact that the food is sourced locally as much as possible. My meal was fresh and flavourful and I have already decided what to try when I go back! Highly recommend for Indian fusion. ETA As someone with sensitive digestion, I love that they dont use preservatives in their foods. Makes a world of difference to my tummy.
Very pleasant experience for my first time here! Loved everything I had- kale spinach fritters, butter chicken & omg the amazing dessert sizzling brownie! Will definitely be back :) Very kind owners too! Thanks Sunny and his team!
The food was so good and the lovely family with two little girls made it so special . Thanks for bringing your recipes to share with the valley Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan Parking: Easy parking
Enjoyed the cauliflower bites Followed by chick pea curry ans chicken chorizo. Absolute love People are genuinely passionate about their food here it feels like a great home cooked meal. Will definitely back to finish off the menu. Thank you
Great lunch combos, ordered a few of them. What a great value for price. Everything was great. Top notch flavours and textures, very high end Indian and fusion cooking, very original and awesomely different.Highly recommended
Super yummy!
Thank you curry cottage - full bellies and smiles on our faces!
A lovely, family run place with awesome food and friendly service. Love it!
Thank you Sunny so much, your food and service was exceptionally great, the taste of your food are so authentic and fresh, not only this, but the moment I tasted the chat which is very popular Indian street food, that, took me back to my hometown, it was that good, And, your all chutneys are so fresh and out of any preservatives and any artificial colour which reflects that you are really concious about your customers health as well , also want to mention that your medium is actually the medium that i want to have in my food, as I have had an experience with one of the other Indian restaurant where I ordered medium but it just burnt my mouth, You and your team are actually putting their heart along with their hard efforts in bringing the real authentic taste embedded in all the fresh ingredients to our plate. Really enjoyed your food! Keep flourishing!
Food was excellent and the owners so nice. Ill definitely go back for their butter chicken.
Lovely addition to the valley. Great flavours, friendly staff, all in all super happy to live down the street from this place!
My wife had soy kebab bowl and she really enjoyed it. We shared an order of poppadum which was excellent. I had butter chicken tacos which had great flavor but the taco shells really need to be improved. They fall apart when you pick them up and you end up with a mess. We will be back and I wont order tacos. The Naan was really good. The place certainly has lots of flavor.
The fish and chips were a delcious choice! Not your normal fish and chips. Love the Curry Cottage Twist.
One the best place to eat authentic Indian food. Restaurant is not just about food, it also how people treat you inside and provide you the best experience. This is the place where you get everything in one package. Even if you have any suggestion or feedback, they are always welcoming. Thank you Sunny and his team for keeping up the hard work and giving us the great experience.
Ordered the butter chicken bowl and it was the best I ve had in the valley! 10/10 quality and the garlic naan was delicious. Can t wait to try more!:)
The Curry Cottage is a wonderful, unique new restaurant featuring authentic Indian food as well as interesting fusion items such as butter chicken tacos. I went in for a late lunch at around 2:30 and ordered the Butter Chicken Bowl which had a sizeable portion of butter chicken garnished with cilantro and pickled onion, and included basmati rice and some naan. Freshly prepared beautifully plated, with an ideal spice level and very high quality tender chicken. I appreciated the service and the family restaurant feel, it fits very nicely in Comox. Closer to a gourmet restaurant experience than you might get elsewhere in the Valley, reminds me of some smaller Indian places in Vancouver. The food is just excellent, there is no doubt about that. The decor and atmosphere is also fun, overall a lovely place. Will be back to eat again soon I hope!
Great atmosphere, good music, kind and attentive staff and delicious food - well done to you all!
We had one of the best dinners in a very long time thanks to The Curry Cottage! What an incredibly delicious, diverse/accommodating selection of food! The only negative is the food is slow to come out, was a bit cold, but it was so delicious it didn t matter. The staff were so kind and accommodating as we had a group of 5 adults and 2 children (under 5). They did a fantastic job and we ve already told all our friends to try here asap!! Go before 5pm if possible for fastest service. Everything was amazing but I have to recommend the butter chicken tacos and the 5 curry sampler that came with rice, naan, and all sorts of side dips etc (drool). Parking: Only a handful of spots available outside.
Bad management in restaurant.
Ultra tasty and fresh!
Great assortment of flavours. Delicious! Ill be back.
We did take out for a loved ones birthday lunch! We all enjoyed every dish with the gentle hum of heat, perfect seasonings and delicious pickled veg and sauces. We all shared the cauliflower bites, masala fish & chips, and the chickpea curry bowl. I cannot wait to go back and dine in next time! Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
We were very happy with our takeout and will definitely be ordering again! The cauliflower bites were amazing!
5 curry sampler platter. 5 little tastes of heaven. Local produce and meat. Naan bread was epic. Staff are definitely passionate about delivering an authentic taste with new tastes.
GF, DF, no problem. Delicious blend of flavors, presentation, personal attention re allergies. Highly recommend!
Vegetarian options: I had a delicious lentil Curry that was just so much better than most curries Ive had. My husband had the butter chicken and they were so careful to give him a great gluten-free experience, with the caveat that they do handle wheat flour in their kitchen and they dont have a separate gluten-free fryer. The service was so caring and the food was so delicious, both had just a touch of homemade care about the flavors and the quality of the service were elevated. I would recommend this above any other Indian place on Vancouver Island and most places in Vancouver as well. The atmosphere is a bit cool. The chairs are more comfortable than they look, being made from metal. The atmosphere is very casual so if ever you wanted to wear sweatpants and a hoodie and just really really enjoy some amazing food, this could be the spot for you! It wasnt super busy and so we had the opportunity to have multiple conversations with the chef and the server and its just so gratifying to see people who care so much about what they do. Dietary restrictions: They dont guarantee gluten-free as they use wheat flour in their kitchen but they certainly do go above and beyond in creating the best gluten free dishes possible within the environment they have. Parking: The restaurant wasnt full but we found the last spot. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs here, the entrance is just a touch crowded but certainly very navigable.
10/10 no notes
Very good Indian fusion. Had a butter chicken quesadilla and salmon curry bowl and both were excellent. Will definitely be back.
Really good food here. They have a great mix of having traditional foods with fusion ideas also. Love the new items on special and have some local beers on tap too. Highly recommend you check it out. My favorite Indian food in the valley now hands down Meal shown was the coconut curry salmon on rice with naan. After a few bites I had to post. Vegetarian options: Many veggie options. Its Indian food. Wheelchair accessibility: Low tables available and all one level inside. A small sidewalk curb in front of the building but the ramp up is close by.
Really inspiring menu with creative dishes- everything we had was delicious! The curry taster platter is so good! Can t wait to go back.
Great little new place to eat in Comox.
We ordered TWO Spiced Chicken Salads to go for lunch as a treat to ourselves. Absolutely delicious and nice portions. Friendly service and a fine menu! We are already looking forward to our next dinner at Currey Cottage. The Chef takes pride in his work. Check out this restaurant. You wont be disappointed!
Fantastic food. I had the butter chicken tacos and our group shared a variety of appys. All were beautifully presented, tasty and inventive. Sauces were divine. Cant wait to try everything on the menu,
Exceptional food. We got the lunch box special- 2 curries : grandma curry and butter chicken ...very tasty, flavourful, fresh ....also got the cheeky chicken wrap- omg so good! Good portions and fair price for nowadays and they get their meat and produce locally as well. Will be my new take out spot. Vegetarian options: Grandma curry I tried and it was exceptional
This is fantastic food prepared and served by wonderful people.
