The deep-fried eggplant was delicious, and the lamb skewers were excellent. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. All ingredients were notably fresh, which I really appreciated. Its a perfect spot for late-night snacks or when youre craving some night-time food.

Dropped to 2 stars because the service has deteriorated alot since they just opened. It used to be great when there are 3 people working at the front, the service was great and quick. But now, even when we go at the busiest time like Friday night or Saturday night, there are only one guy doing and a lady working at the front, which is simply insufficient even though they apparently work hard enough. P.s. to the owner: hire one more person to work at the front at busy hours. It doesnt cost that much but it brings a significant difference.

Very, very nice restaurant has spicy and addicting items on the menu (I would personally recommend the chicken heart skewers). The service is alright but the atmosphere makes up for it (props to the designer). Also the pictures on google maps makes the restaurant look much bigger than it actually is so lol.

I placed an order last night and waited for more than an hour, but I didnt receive my order. At 11:30, the driver said it was closed.

It s fantastic fried meat skewers (a la carte) + spicy bowl combo (weigh your own) for Vaughan. Hard to have both of these dishes in one place, no more need to drive to Yonge & Finch!

The food was way better than expected even though seeing how cute the place was expectations were already high. The skewer seasoning is so good no matter what spice level. I absolutely loved the squid along with my meat bowl. We shared one between 2 people and was the perfect amount of food even had left overs to take home. Would definitely visit again

The fried skewers are very fresh and the sauce is very good! This is the highlight of the meal! Malatang is salty and goes well with rice. It s great that the rice is refilled for free. But if you re like me and don t eat much carbohydrates, it s best to tell them to reduce saltiness. The service is very good and the environment is very clean. Overall it s very good. Free sour plum soup is also a plus!

Very yummy skewers! My favourite was the beef and chicken cartilage skewers. Their popcorn chicken and cheese corn were also fantastic! Good size portions for 2 people to try a bunch of items. Service was also excellent :)

Enjoyed a random visit to the Vaughan area and hoping to discover a skewer spot. What a wonderful find. Got the chicken skewer and although it was a smaller portion, it was incredibly flavourful. They had other skewers which held more, but did not get a chance to try them. I will on the next occasion. We got to select our choice toppings in a hot beef base. It really was a perfect meat bowl. Staff were especially accommodating. The unlimited sweet plum juice was a great touch to the entire service.

This is my second time here. Great food and great service. It s a great addition to the Vaughan region, as it lacks Northern Chinese cuisine and to an extent Cantonese cuisine. We got the whole squid on a skewer and the fried eggplant. Both were packed with immense flavour (it came with a tasty sauce but it s not needed). For the meat bowl we got the braised sauce which had lots of flavour and not spicy. I ve tried the Hot Soup before on the first visit and got that in mild and it was still sweat inducing, be mindful if getting that soup base. Highly suggest this to anyone from the Vaughan region.

We also pickedd our toppins, and added beef to our soup base. A little much for two ppl but it was delicious. Becareful mindful of the spice level if youre not into spicy things.

Came for the skewers and the meat bowl. The skewers are pretty awesome. Love the deep fried octopus in particular, the chicken and mushrooms are also good. Beef and lambs are good too. Make sure order with extra spicibess if you can handle some heat. Like how the meat bowl can be fully customed with ingredients. Service is great and tentative, thumbs up. Its not exactly cheap but the overall experience is very positive.

A restaurant with a very Chinese style decoration next to Vaughan mills. I ordered the soy sauce hot pot because I have children, and I didn t expect it to be quite tasty. The beef slices were thick but very tender. If I wanted something spicy, I asked for chili oil. The chili oil that arrived was a surprise. It was freshly fried and bubbling right before it was served. It was so fragrant.

Overall its very good. We started off with chicken strips, which were delicious. The braised sauce soup tastes great, but a little bit too salty. The hot soup was spicier than expected but good nonetheless. Ingredients were good would benefit from a larger selection in the future.
