The best pupusas 🫓 are at this place right here. Staff is so friendly. The dining experience is always amazing here, and I come here often. I wouldn't go anywhere else for Salvadoran food. This is as authentic as it gets.
I was holding out to buy food at Pueblo Mexico down the road but decided to give this spot a try first, I got a chicken chickpea and corn wrap it was very easy to eat and I also had cheese stuffed plantain balls which was very unique and delicious. I will be returning but next time I want to try the dessert. A perfect score for me. I took a picture of the interior it was empty because I went between 3pm and 4pm. Traffic was insane on the roads.
Was there yesterday after a funeral service. The food took almost an hour to come out. On top of that, the food never came out at the same time which means some of our guests were eating/waiting while we waited for the other dishes. Moreover, the food is quite pricey so they definitely set the wrong expectations. Once it arrived, it was either cold, bland &/or unpleasant. Such a shame i really use to enjoy this place but after such a negative experience i don’t think i will be coming back. I hope they get themselves sorted out for future patrons.
I ordered the pupusa (5 star), chicken tamale and the carne asada which was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Great, helpful staff as well. The restaurant is tucked in a corner and can be difficult to find but that would make this a hidden gem
What a hidden little gem! The food is so fresh and amazing! My first experience with El Salvadorian food and it did not disappoint. The ceviche was great and flavourful. Pupusas were delicious! Must try it out. I felt like I was anywhere but in Canada here. I will definitely visit again.
We have ordered here multiple times thru Uber eats and there has always been an issue however today was the last time we give this place a chance. There was sharp piece of plastic in one of the pupusas absolutely disgusting and dangerous!!! Waste of $70
My first Salvatorion-meal experience and I liked it. We had Ceviche de Camarones, Pescado Frito (red snapper), Sopa de mariscos / seafood soup, and two choices for pupusas. We liked them all, with soup soup my favorite among them. Drinks were great too. We had Cebada salvadoreña, Jugo de tamarindo, Horchata salvadoreña. Among them I liked the Horchata the best. The place was not busy. Only one server and he was friendly, patient and helped.
This was our first time trying this place! I have been wanting some pupusas and this was the closest to us. Service was great, very friendly. Upon first impression of the restaurants, it is outdated and could use some renovations but we were there for food so it wasnt a big deal about the atmosphere. We were the only ones dining in during lunch and wasnt busy at all. We tried the pupusas with chiccharon and cheese, carne asada meal to share, and flautas de pollo All good, no complaints, very filling! we ended up having leftovers. Overall it was decent! i cant compare to any other similar restaurant yet but 5 stars for customer service :)
Really tasty, affordable, and pretty nice portion sizes. Sharable plates are perfect for sharing up to 4 people.
Special
Very good
Pupusas tasted soooo good! Wish I lived close by
Excellent service, food was delicious
I ordered pupusas from Uber Eats and the order was not what expected. I always eat at the restaurant and the pupusas are bigger than I receive today. Please, need to verify always the quality of your product.
The best latin food in North York, hands down. The pupusas are a staple. But i must know: how could you take those columbian empanadas off the menu. I told stories about those things. People took a bite of those things and looked at me like i just cast a magic spell on them. You must bring back those empanadas.
Cheap papusas on tuesday/Thursday
The food here is amazing!!! Will be back.
I love the taste of the food. Good portions and very reasonable price. I always go once every week. Well worth it. The washrooms are not the cleanest
Awesome Salvadoran restaurant. The soups are amazing! Ordered the steak tacos and the nacho with meat. Incredible! Awesome service too. Washroom was clean too. Very nice place.
The place definitely needs a renovation. The service is great smiley and friendly. The food is fantastic. The washrooms need to be cleaned
Very delicious Salvadoran food, pupils, pata broth, fruit waters, I recommend the one from Tamarindo, it is a delight, they are a little slow due to the demand for orders they have Parking: Very spacious Kid-friendliness: Yeah Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah
Everything was fine but we had to wait 1 hour for some pupusas
Omg I love this place. The pupusas are so delicious. The tamales are amazing. They are attentive and friendly. Prices are very affordable. Will come back for more soon and highly recommend.
A very place to go with family and friends
Pupusas, sopa de marisco, Carne asada, are delicious, staff are friendly, the wait is a bit long.
I ordered through Uber Eats and they didnt close the lid of the container properly and the soup arrived all spilled in the plastic bag, its a shame they have very good seasoning, I had already ordered before Just so they can be more careful when packing and make sure it is well sealed.
Good food snd fair pricing. Very authentic
Plantain enpanadas may Good!
Great places for pupusas and love their Tuesday and Thursday pupusa special..
My home away from home. This place brings the real flavour of Central and South America. Sopa de res is my personal favourite. Service is always great!
When I order empanadas I dont know if its really empanadas or charcoal
Delicious food
Food was good. Loved the meats! Would definitely come back to try their other meals.
Service was fine Atmosphere was par for the course I was excited for empanadas and tacos Unfortunately very bland across the board. Rice was plain. Beans were non existent. Empanadas were totally non descript Portion sizes were great. Wanted to be happy. Was sad instead
I used to come to eat pupusas to this restaurant. Today I was so happy to eat pupusas and empanadas again since I didn t came to Toronto for so long! But omg! Total different! The pupusas had poor quality cheese. I dont recommend this place no more. They become from good to bad.
Slow service, place VERY cold, chilly inside due to air conditioning, had to request soccer game on TV even though it has sign outside says it shows soccer games.
I was really looking forward to eat the tamales and the platano empanadas, both were not that great no flavor and no chicken on the tamales, the empanadas taste like flour , the pupusas were ok , the chicharrón with yuca was the best,
I went there for years. The food is delicious the price is affordable the facility is clean and the waitress are friendly.
Great food and service. I always go there when I feel homesick and need some good, authentic colombian food. The place does smell a little bit like deep fried oil, but nothing too bad and the food compensates for that
Almost everything is OK, but I have to be carefully cause, always they forgets put something in the orders. Today I have to eat my yuca con chicharron without sauce or something over it, its a big inconvenience.
I picked up food for an event. The pupusas and tamales are amazing. They were packaged in groups of 5 which was very much appreciated
Very disappointed I placed an order at 120pm today was told 40 min wait said I would be back at 2pm came back at 3 and still waited 15 more as my order was NOT ready how ? When I asked the waiter ? Why is it not ready he said its coming all the while my order was sitting on the counter and still needed tortillas ti be put in the bag so place your order the day b4 you go to this restaurant or wait
Super nice place, very cozy so you can come with your family to try some delicious pupusas or a roast beef or a yuka with pork rinds. I recommend many more dishes to my taste. You can find the best pupusas in Cuscatlan, so friends, dont stay. with the desire I visit them you will not regret it
Great food , love the pupusas
IF I COULD GIVE MINUS 10 STARS I WOULD. I went to this place yesterday with my dad. From the beginning our experience was REALLY BAD. We got there at 7:20pm and sat at a table waiting for the waitress to take our order, she took about 10 mins to come to our table. After she took our order, we wanted to add a few things to our order and ask her some questions, but she would walk around not even looking to other tables to see if anyone needed help. So it was hard to get her attention. Which is really inefficient for a waitress since your job is to be looking out for customers. After waiting for 45 minutes I got annoyed and had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask for my order. She said she didn t know if my order was ready but she would ask. After 5 minutes she came to our table to tell us they were just finishing packing our order. I understand it was a bit busy and she was the only waitress working and was serving by herself, but it still is unacceptable. She never once came to check up on us, she never came to us to at least inform us that they were taking a bit longer because they were (clearly) understaffed, NOTHING. When she gave us our order she just handed us the machine and said have a great night, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. She wasn t rude, she was actually quite nice. But kindness isn t everything in customer service, which this place is clearly lacking. My dad was telling me that this never happened when the previous owner managed the restaurant about 10 years ago. The food was mid at best, the tacos were REALLY small, not even Taco bell serves tacos that small, the tortillas fell apart so they wouldn t even hold the meat. It was $100+ for a dinner for 4 people. And even worst, our order was for take out. We had to wait 50 mins for a take out order, i understand it s not fast food but I ve never waited that long for a take out order.
Terrible place, I waited an hour for them to give us a table, and then I waited more than an hour for them to give me what we ordered, very bad service
Very slow service! If you are coming here for lunch during work, you will need more then an hour!
This place has amazing food! But they really need to hire atleast 1 more waiter. Especially for the weekends. It gets super busy and 1 waiter is basically taking orders on the phone, floor and bringing out food. It s crazy.
We cant say enough about how impressed we were by the food here. Authentic central american cuisine of this caliber is not easy to come by. The steak was cooked to perfection! The beef soup was incredibly flavourful. Their beans and rice WERE TO DIE FOR! Never have I ever had better beans and rice. Weve already recommended this place to so many friends. Sorry, we were too hungry and the food was too good to stop to take pictures and we over ordered and took extra home, so I didnt bother rating the price, but its very reasonable. Parking: Its in a plaza with plenty of parking
Everything was FABULOUS!! Parking: Plaza parking Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant
I like the pupusas, place need more ventilation
This place feels like an American style bar where you go to see your favorite sports but instead of eating wings or burgers you get a really tasty Pupusa along with a good portion of fried yuca and pork that makes your mouth watery just by its looks. Service is also nice and the place is very clean.
My wife has been there twice over the last few years, and absolutely raved about the Sopa de Mariscos. They must have had a different chef and/or cooks when we went again because it was not good. Too many things that shouldnt be in a fish soup (not everything in a fish can be cooked in a soup and it will still taste good). Not bad as in off, just shouldnt be there. Stuff from the head, or too much skin, etc. Left the wrong kind of fishy taste. But I guess some people dont mind that. Papusas were pretty good though.
Ive never been to the restaurant, but I did an Uber order tonight for a couple of mixed pupusas and fried plantains with cream. The pupusas were so good, I wish I had gotten another. The portions were great, especially for the plantains and excellent price. Definitely recommend.
Their food is ok but the TIME it takes for them to make the food is just too long. It s unacceptable.
I bought 40 pupusas for my birthday and horchata. We all loved it! Everything was amazing!
great pupusas
The service is fast and tasty salvador food. The atmosphere is good i mean from outside the place might look really old and small but its opposite when you step inside. Due to Covid i guess i dont see any customers for dine-in but i have come across some take out orders. Worth giving a try for people looking to experience a different cuisine. And lastly the quantity is good for the price you pay and food tasted really fresh. No chinola juice but they have authentic tamarind juice and all other sodas*
Food is very authentic and well priced. Everything was delicious, I was full and I still wanted to keep eating. Strongly recommend las pupusas revueltas and the horchata. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Empanadas delicious. GOOD portion of ceviche de camaron but tails left on never had that itd not shrimp cocktail
I had the Carne asada con dos pupusas. The food was great! Lets talk about service...This place needs to train their servers. My waitress made us feel like we were bothering her. Perhaps with training, this will change. Food is great, but because of bad service, I wouldnt return to your establishment. There are lots of salvadorian restaurants. Perhaps you may want to focus on training your staff.
Prices are a bit expensive. Food is good. Small. Plenty of parking. Superbusy most days. They close earlier than other places.
The food was not flavored, patacones was over cooked, chicarron no fresh. Sorry guys, Im not the person to do this. But for the same price I can get something better. The service is good, in the kitchen ahhhh.
Good food, we loved their pupusas!
Amazing.....just amazing.
Authentic Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine! Extremely consistent and very good!!!
Such a delicious little restaurant!
Excellent service amazing portions! Everything was delicious! Pupusas were great size and yummy. Parking: Great location close to highway. I drive all the way from Niagara falls its my favorite Salvadoran restaurant.
I went there for lunch, the food was served after 1 hour of wait time, meanwhile a mouse passed near our table. Cleanliness and service are not cuscatlans strongest points, the food was ok.
Food is amazing every time i go to Cuscatlan restaurant!!
I love the food here it s so delicious, my favourite dish is the nachos with steak. Friendly service. Would highly recommend.
yummy pupusas
We stumbled upon this authentic Salvadoran restaurant and were so happy we did. Friendly service, great authentic food.
DELICIOUS. Excellent pupusas, tamal, flautas. Really fantastic. Was recommended to me by someone from El Salvador and you can taste the quality here!
Food took took forever they need to hired at least two more waiver currently they only have 2 to serve the whole restaurant .
Amazing pupusas !!
Food was delicious! Stopped by here after my sons hockey game. Food was authentic, good portions and very tasty. We had the beef stew and the chicken tacos. Staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this place!
Very good place and food ! Parking: Good music and food Food : 5/5 |
BEST Colombian empanadas in the city hands down!! So good I asked them to cater some for my wedding which every single empanadas came out perfect! Also, dont skip out on their tacos
They prioritize Uber eats over in store customers. Prepare for a wait if you go during busy hours.
Food is pretty decent but the prices are on a bit of the expensive side, Ive tried food just as good as this and at least 5 or more dollars less for the dinner dishes.
Mediocre food and very expensive!
One of the best Pupusas in the GTA, their carne asada plate is very filling with an assortment of delicious bites! If you are ordering a beverage I would opt in for a Tamarindo!
Amazing authentic food made with love. Large portions. Friendly service. Try their passionfruit smoothie (liquido de maracuya)... best Ive ever tasted.
This little restaurant (2 of 2) packs a big punch with their pupusas. Original taste and recipe. Big size and delicious. I travel 1hr just to have dinner here, regularly. Enough said! Dietary restrictions: You cannot enjoy Salvadoran dishes if youre vegetarian. If changed, theres nothing Salvadoran about it.
The food is delicious but the service is not very good, it is not the staffs fault, the girl who serves is very busy but there are too many people who arrive on the weekend and it is unfair for a waitress to serve all those people, that can be considered labor exploitation.
Great place! During the weekend is busy but so worth it
Excellent service, excellent food
Everything is very delicious, really, all my respect for this food, congratulations to the cooks and the attention is good too.
Nice food
Best burrito platter! The burrito itself was amazing (tender chicken, good amount of veg, and taste was top notch), the rice was perfectly cooked and so flavourful, and the hot sauce it comes with adds a nice subtle kick. Highly recommend this place, ingredients are super fresh.
Best in the city! We always have papusa & chicken tacos platters! The food is always made fresh & it is packed with so much flavour.
It has changed for worst ,I never so this place so empty. They open at 12 noon we arrive at 1230pm and all the workers where sitting down having their lunch. We order, took 30 minutes to get the food. We left at 130pm and only one person was working, the other 3 where still sitting and eating still. I know now why the place is empty. Its a shame to see this place go down
Good food, friendly service, fair prices.
Whoever the chef is that made my pupusas on Wednesday February 16th 2022 at 5:00pm...AMAZING!
Amazing! Really delicious food, we ordered the tamal de pollo, burrito platter and empanadas Colombianas. Good value for how much food you get. We will definitely be ordering again!
Very disappointed, the service was not how I expected, especially on my birthday , this has never happened before, but I think today was not a good day. Usually, the service here is very good , today I came here for my birthday and it just so happens that the food was served before appetizers and drinks, and the drinks were not made properly , as well as the long wait for the wrong orders.
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. When you order off their menu they ll tell you no we don t have that we ordered 3 piña Coladas the lady comes out with 1 and says that they ran out like bruhhhh. We were a small group and ordered at the same time and half of us didn t get our food and when we did get the food the rice was bland, not cooked well (still hard) and I could tell they don t wash their rice. Honestly all the food was bad. I would say this doesn t represent our culture, but it reminds me of the ghetto rice back home. Overall this experience was horrible. I hope they do improve their food and service in the future.
I liked it :) The food didnt come out all at the same time, so I was sitting waiting for quite a long time before I was finally served, and by then all the other people at the table were finished eating and had to wait for me. However, the food was worth the wait. Papousas were good, so were the nachos. Will definitely come here for lunch again:)
These guys are the real deal. No disrespect to any other El Salvadoran restaurant but you guys have some real competition here!. From the tamales to the carne asado..to there empenadas with aji( hot salsa )are spot on! Not to mention there amazing pupusas are out of this world good! Fresh and flavourful and tastes like home cooking. Keep up the great work and makes sure you stay the same because you guys got something special here!
The food wasn t fresh, the Latin food has a lot of fried goods but unfortunately the oil probably was old and leave a weird taste to everything that is fried on it. We order a mix ceviche and it was literally gross I leave it almost untouched. The meat was good and the tamales. Empanadas Colombianas again probably would have taste better if the oil that they were fried in was fresh.
Very good food, the attention 4 stars, but the menu OMG very good plates and drinks recommended
Delicious food! Ordered cheese pupusas, fried yuca and ceviches with a horchata to drink! Had to order another horchata to go cause it was sooo good!! Would definitely come back again
Exelent food
I love this place. The food is absolutely good. Very Salvadorian taste. Enjoy all the way! Service can be slow depending on what you order as food is prepared fresh in the kitchen.
Their fried Red Snapper is too good! Comes with rice which is also very good. Prices are good not expensive. Service little slow. Handicapped parking and accessible entrance. Mondello beer is served here.
There food is really good!! I would recommend trying the Pupusa s.
excellent food delicious we will be back
DO NOT ORDER CEVICHE!!! by far the worst ceviche Ive ever had. It had a weird horseradish taste and I cant even understand why anyone would put that into a ceviche. Just awful.
Delicious Columbian Empanadas
Good Food, The really Latin American taste. But you have to go with time and patience to be attended.
The best pupusas I have ever tried, the restaurant is very nice, the food took a while to arrive but it was due to the high demand for pupusas!
Very delicious 5 stars
Extremely rude. Will never even consider this place again.
As a person of latinamerican origin (Honduras) I can full heartedly recommend this dining establishment for its authentic taste. Delicious! Try the pupusas and Yuca con Chicharron. They are a bit understaffed and your order may take a while which is why I havent given them 5 stars. Price is fair.
Liked it good food. Went for takeout but it was not clear where to order but eventually somebody came.
Authentic Salvadorian food. Perfecto!
It has rude staff, they are unprofessional. They are talking bad with customer.
Too long to wait to dine in. We wait hour to serve . The best they have is pupusas. Poor waiter he was alone to serve a lot of customer . The best way is to order online.
Delicious typical food. They deliver great service and atmosphere.
Amazing pupusas! I like mine with cheese and pork, which, if not made right will turn out greasy but that s not the case here, where they were perfect! I ordered the mora (blackberry) smoothie and loved it for its thickness and perfect amount of sugar. Mom and I had two pupusas each plus drinks for a total of just over $25! Great food. Great value. Great service. The only reason I do not give them a five star review is because they need to update the interior and they need to step up the cleanliness.
Great food. Service is friendly. Food takes a long time to be served. Floor and tables are messy. Washrooms lack soap and paper towel.
The best place of Salvadorean food
Great food and great service my family and I love it. First time we eat in the restaurant, but we been customers for more then a year
My go to place for Salvadorean Pupusas, they are filled to the rim with cheese and the chicharron with cheese are super delicious along with cabbage salad and sauce, service is slow only saw one lady going in and out of the kitchen. Totally recommend this place. Parking: Plenty of parking
Understaffed and very slow...
Food is always fresh, love this place staff are always friendly. Wheres the option for a 5 plus start google?
When in the area I stop by to have pupusas which are good. I wish the filling in the pupusas was a bit more generous but they are good. We tried other dishes and they are also tasty except the shredded meat dish which is mixed with eggs and it is not stated on the menu that the meat is mixed with eggs. Music is loud and sounds like a DJ is playing. I personally don t like loud music when I eat. Overall is a good place to enjoy Salvadorian food!
Authentic food. Very good customer service.
During my visit, the service took 40 minutes to serve us and the food was good, but that same day there were people who better left the place because they waited 30 minutes. Please hire more waiters and waitresses, 2 are not enough
As always, bad service. They dont serve you on time. I will no longer eat at Cuscatlán. Its a shame because there is a regular customer at the restaurant.
Good customer service and tasty pupusas! Variety of Salvadoran dishes
So Good!!
Delishes Salvatorian food. Papusas were devine. Good place for a family meal.
1 hour for 5 pupusas. Decent food
Authentic Salvadoran food. Its one of my favorite spots in the city
Great food friendly clean environment Parking: There a good size parking lot which makes it a easy stop Food : 5/5 |
Great papusas, fresh and delicious always.
Delicious pupusas
First thing ordered was the horchata salvadoreña. It was a glass of water and sand. Disappointing. Had to send it back. The amount of cinnamon they added was also to much. The chicharrón con yuca was cold. The nuegados were rock hard as well. I ve eaten actually Salvadoran food and this ain t it. Shame for El Salvador. Waitress was kind though and deserved the tip.
My favorito restautant the waittres very friendly food excelent
Great food, great service! Highly recommended!
Great pupusas and great service. Very authentic. Cant wait to come back!
The pupusas are delicious but the red sauce doesnt have much flavor. The place is good but a bit expensive for what it is.
Good fresh and affordable...
Pupusas were delicious. Tons of seafood in the sopa. Lovely staff.
No complaints! Im no connoisseur of Latin American food, but I know what tastes good! I love their pupusas and horchata. Their menu is pretty diverse too so there are many options to choose from. The time between table service and food coming is great, unlike a certain North York pupusa location I know of. And best of all, they take card and dont force you to withdraw money from an ATM. Overall, great experience and would come again and again!
The music, the food and the staff all excellent.
Great place to get authentic pupusas...my familys favorite place in the gta,
Omg..the seafood soup is amazing
Amazing. Nothing fancy, just great traditional Salvadorian food. Excellent papusas, tamales, and empanadas. Anything with the carne asada is also good. Friendly and affordable.
Good food and great customer service. Bathrooms need to be clean more often but food was delicious.
The best pupusas in TO!
Delicious pupusas and orchata of course, in addition to other Salvadoran dishes.
This place is fire, but like most hispanic restaurants be prepared for the wait. It takes them quite a while to make your food. The waitress was very nice, and attentive.
I had already tried the pupusas at this place and they are definitely very delicious. This time we were able to eat at the restaurant after they asked us for proof of vaccination and identification. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered leg soup, seafood soup, taco plate, and nachos with carne asada. A very good place to go. Recommended a thousand! The bathrooms are clean and the place in general is very good
Dont order ceviche Worse ceviche I had
Good
Pupusas were the bomb
Great place for Nachos, Soups & PUPUSAS!..
Amazing Salvi food
Great food.
Amazing food and the prices are almost unbelievable !!
Good food, great service. Their pupusas are delicious, as well as their soups and other dishes.
The best pupusas!!!
