so weird, tried coming here saturday morning walked in, the place had no people inside, couldn t even find an employee the music was blasting loud i walked around calling out for assistance but no answer so i walked out. this was a saturday at 9:30am i was going to go for breakfast and i found Angelia s on google maps and wanted to give them a try, but instead i wasted my time.

- New ownership - I used to come by this place once or twice a year. 4 months ago the ownership changed and it is no longer a simple diner. Its now half Indian nightclub during the evening and half the diner it used to be. As a table of 4, we waited a full hour for 4 breakfast plates. There was only one other table in the restaurant. The service was painful. It seems whoever was the supplier still works with the restaurant as the food was mostly the same. Any differences are likely due to a new cook preparing the classic recipes. Overall this would be ok if the service wasnt so slow. If you are stuck and need brunch somewhere then this works. However, it would be better as a pure nightclub at this point.

Home fries seemed freezer burnt. Butter on the toast had an unusual after taste, was it really butter?? Bacon burnt on 1 side and raw on the other. Coffee was good. Would not return nor recommend

Food portions are still great however quality is definitely gone down. Food was cold. Advertised home fries with breakfast, but got wedges instead. Also now charging for water? No cups of water available, you have to purchase a bottle of water.

Ordered breakfast and the meats were overcooked. I want to support local restaurants so I came here instead of grabbing a fast Tim Hortons breakfast. That would have been a better choice. When I asked for water, a bottled water was served. I asked for Tap water and was told they are not allowed to serve tap water. The bottled water cost $2. I have never been to a restaurant or fast food place that denied me tap water. After $20 bill plus tip, this seems very unreasonable. The service for waitress was very good - I only stayed because of her very congenial nature. Washroom smell funky.

Came for breakfast this morning. The place looks alright but the food was awful. Tasted like it was made in a microwave and the options were basic. The woman who served us wasn t the greatest either. We should ve just gone to McDonald s next door honestly.

Slow service. Kitchen was disorganized food came out cold. Not worth the time or money. What a waste. Forgot bacon, no cutlery and I had to ask for syrup for French toast. DO NOT GO HERE!!

We were travelling from states and stayed near the restaurant. All together we were 11 people. Food was very tasty and service was so quick. Amazing breakfast. Normally, I don t do reviews but couldn t resist for this one. Waitress was super nice.

During our brunch, the place was about 75% occupied. Food was good. Portions were adequate. Price point was similar to the big-box franchises. However, presentation and service had room for improvement. We were the only Asians there at the time. Wondering if there was any correlation between the two constant factors. I am also not a contributing factor to a common Asian stereotype: I normally order 2 meals or an app with main and desert. I tip 10% when I am dissatisfied. Otherwise, I am 20-30% across the board. If I had a larger brunch budget and less choices of places to enjoy it, I would still leave this place as my absolute last of last places to voluntarily patronise.

Just checked this place out, we were pleasantly impressed. Service, food everything excellent. Check it out well worth it.

Had fish and chips for the first time, we usually have breakfast. Fish batter was very doughy, unfortunately. Everything else was great, customer service, gravy etc.

went here as a hockey team when it was not busy at all and service needs lots of improvement. most of our team didn t end up getting food after an hour and a half and some didn t even get drinks. still got charged.

After waiting 1 hours for a simple breakfast we give up and leave. Dont go there if you are hungry. The waitress didnt know the order she just wondered around the restaurant asking people who ordered what. Unprofessional.

This place used to be so good. But now under new management, you pay more money for less quality food. I asked for pancakes and syrup they gave I swear with water down. Normally for breakfast you get a free refill with your coffee not this place they charge. Just save your money and go to McDonald s right across the street.

I ordered a cup of cappuccino with mushroom omlette and their english style fish and chips . The cappuccino just hit the spot and i could sense the use of aromatic coffee beans, perfect to go with their mushroom omlette which was pretty decent and their english style fish n chips is to die for. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside , is a must try. I appreciate their quality of service and planning for a revisit super soon.

Recently visited this joint, absolutely loved it. Food, Ambience and Service was all 10/10 with ample parking space. The server was very good who took the trouble to ensure our tastes were catered to. I will recommend this place to anyone who is in Vaughan area and is looking for a good continental breakfast/lunch.

We had the pleasure of visiting this restuarant last weekend. We were seated immediately and my order was taken within 5 minutes. The lady serving us was very friendly. Although she was busy with all the tables, yet she asked everyone how the food is and if we needed anything else. We got the Western omelette and Egg Benedict along wish a side order of sausage links and it was absolutely flavourful. We loved it and would definitely come back for breakfast as it wasn t overly expensive, the service was pristine and the food was flavourful and excellent! Recommend to all!

Recently I had breakfast at this restuarant and it was an enjoyable experience. I am a regular here, but this visit was post the renovation that took place here and I believe there was change of management as well. Post renovation, the place looks fantastic, the atmosphere was classic, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu had a variety of breakfast dishes to choose from and the prices were reasonable. I ordered Small peameal bacon and eggs with hash browns and white toasts. It was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The side of hash browns was crispy and golden brown. Toasts were soft. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely go back. If youre looking for a good breakfast spot in Vaughan, this diner is definitely worth checking out.

Never had bad service on the weekend before have been going there for years Was going to be charged double for my food, never had to wait to have my order and to get the bill had to get up, never was ask if you wanted anything else was passed aside, have better service during the week!

We waited to be seated. Then waited for a menu then waited for our food . Then asked for milk for my tea then asked for ketchup. No jam offered for my toast too much. We didnt get the bill had to get up with our coats on then my son asked for the bill then told it didnt go through but she forgot to do something on her end. Wanting two payments Very poor service no happiness too much. We used to come before I even recommended this place Will not in the future!!!

No refills on coffee (hence the low stars). Typo in menu which seemed to confuse waitress, food was good though. They also charge for everything extra including jam?

For the price you pay, the food could have been better. I paid 3.99$ for extra feta cheese. I ordered the chicken dinner and it was not worth the overall price I paid. My spouse ordered the cheeseburger and it qas nothing special. The rice, so I was told was yellow rice. However it was overcooked, wet and unfortunately had no flavor. Chicken was super dry. Will not be back, and definitely do not recommend. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the young lady who served us was friendly.

I was there with customers. The food was served on time, the quality and taste was very good.

My big complaint is that on more than one occasion, I have been unfortunate enough to hear and see the owner tearing a strip off some of the server staff to the point it left them in tears. As a customer, It was extremely embarrassing for me to watch and hear this and I can only imagine how the rest of the staff was feeling as this happened.. Absolutely no reason to publicly tear into an employee like this. I am hopeful that the owner reads these reviews and takes a little advice from these comments. Have had Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner MANY times in this restaurant. For the most part, the food is good, Servers seem interested and willing to satisfy the customer, food is delivered in short order and the place seems to be neat and tidy, with the exception of the Souvenir Corner. Not really appropriate for a restaurant. They seem to have spent some money over the last few years in sprucing the place up with paint and new tables. Pricing seems to be a little heavy handed.. Even by ordering their Daily lunch special, its hard to get out of the place for under $20.00. A little much if you are eating out every day. Not sure if the owner understands that there are lots of less expensive alternatives...

Lovely breakfast service tops food

Extremely dark and dingy atmosphere. Basically an old VLT haunt from the 80s. Place was filthy inside. They didnt have water for some reason, then charged me for the bottled water they did provide. Food arrived within 3 minutes of ordering which is a huge red flag. Could tell my homefries were microwaved because some were burning hot and others were cold. Also, many of them tasted like fish as Im sure they were previously plated with fish and chips and/or the fryer oil is rarely changed. This entire area of Toronto is gross.

The banquet burgers are awesome. Still a bit pricey.

Went here for breakfast today and as I wanted a greasy spoon style of breakfast. Service was ok (server was not wearing a real mask, people were not spaced out) food was gross, lipstick on my coffee cup, coffee was awful,The place made me feel uneasy about cleanliness and wasn t even good bad food.. Never want to go back.

I went to Angelos about a year ago for breakfast and quite enjoyed it but not this time. The service was pleasant but the food and even the tea was not hot and was pretty mediocre.

I went here for breakfast this past Sunday. I dont have super high expectations for this type of dining, but that said I must say that it was a pretty poor experience. The coffee (Cappucino in the menu) was definitely not good, it had a crazy amount of foam and the actual coffee was tasteless. I had eggs and sausage, the regular fried eggs were OK, the sausage links were the really cheap ones you can buy in a grocery store, the homestyle potatoes were out of a bag, greasy and tasteless. My wife had the same, but with scrambled eggs, in her case the eggs were so overcooked she couldnt eat them. My perspective on this is that if you have a restaurant where you cant cook eggs and you cant make a decent cup of coffee then you have a problem. Given the poor quality of the food the prices are really high (the bill total came out to over $50).

Great breakfast here for good price if you come before 11am. After that time the price is little more. Omlettes are great. Comes with coffee and home fries, or tomato.

Id been up here from the states for a week and had one last opportunity for poutine, and they hit the mark. Shredded cheese instead of curds and the fries on their own were average, but that gravy was tip top. Corned beef was generous and flavorful but they didnt toast the rye so the sandwich risks falling apart. Next time Id listen to the server and get the turkey club or the tuna, both looked outstanding. The chicken and rice soup was perfect for a cold winter day.

First time there and the last.. The prices are outrageous. $12.99 for eggs, sausages, home fries and toast. The home fries were deep fried in oil...yuck. it tasted like small square potatoes saturated and deep fried in very old oil that hasnt been changed in weeks. Eggs were ok along with the Texas toast. But Both my sausages and my bf peameal were overcooked.

The worst customer service ever, I waited for nearly 15 minutes standing to order for take out and they kept saying one second sir I ll just give some change and will be with you I ll take your order in a sec sir and never ever did anyone take my order. I just left that place pretty upset. I wouldn t recommend it at all

Ordered eggs benedict, they dont ask how you like your eggs and assume soft..i added mozza cheese and spinach and what they served was raw spinach under the eggs with a processed cheddar cheese slice .....sauce is nothing close to taste, color or texture of hollandaise sauce.... worst eggs benedict hands down.

Went their for dinner, the sauce on pasta was cold, waitress was rude when tip not high enough, expensive for the quality of food. Better prices and quality at other restaurants.

The staff are a breath of fresh air ! Super friendly and knolageable about wine to go with ruebbens..,lol
