I can confidently say this is by far the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to! I’ve visited countless Italian restaurants across Vaughan, but nothing compares to the authentic flavors and experience here. The food tasted exactly like the incredible meals I had during my time in Italy! The hospitality was second to none – it felt like being welcomed into a family, and the staff genuinely made the whole dining experience special. I highly, highly recommend Smoke and Mirrors to anyone craving true Italian cuisine. After experiencing this, I honestly don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else for Italian food again. This is hands-down my new go-to spot!
What an amazing experience we had for our anniversary at this Gastropub. Unassuming from the outside but the food and service were exceptional. We started with some fancy cocktails that had the perfect touch of class and theatrics. The lobster roll was stacked perfectly and the Frito Misto had a light batter that was one of the best we’ve had. I will not hesitate to order both again on my next visit. Our main pasta dishes were delicious and did not disappoint either as we had the Rigatoni Carbonara and the Ravioli Porcini and Tartufo. We ended with the Chocolate Lava Cake and the Chefs Famous Bread Pudding that were the perfect end to our meal. Overall we had an amazing time and we’ll definitely be back. The table side service for the appetizers and desserts were a nice touch with the food being plated for you.
Had to share my experiences that I’ve had at Smoke and Mirrors! This Italian Gastropub serves up some seriously delicious eats. The staff has always been extremely nice and welcoming when we have ate here and after being seated we are always greeted with unlimited bread, fresh cheese and olives to start! The service is definitely top tier (your glasses are always filled and they are always available to assist you to ensure the whole experience is nice for you and your table!). I’ve been a handful of times now and some of my favourite dishes are the pasta (ALL of them), short ribs, pizza and truffle fries! We always receive complimentary bruschetta as well which is such a nice touch. They also have the most unique and yummy cocktails - you name it and they can absolutely make it for you! Overall, this restaurant is really tight-knit and has a very nice inviting atmosphere. It’s also the perfect size for events if you have a special occasion to celebrate! Kid friendly restaurant as well ! Also, the DESSERT! The chef’s creations are quite literally all perfection. Key lime pie, bread pudding, crème brulee and more. Pure bliss! Will definitely continue to visit and recommend this place ! 5 stars all around.
New to be Vaughan hot spot. Small but happening new restaurant opening in the area serving beyond just Italian. From the amazing pasta to the perfect steak the food here is cooked perfectly and served with a nice presentation. Great small but effective wine selection. The decor is modern and classy. The service and staff are first class. A nice night out with a date night for under $200. Gem of a spot. Not such an obvious location.
Minimalist Gem with Maximum Flavor. Smoke and Mirrors may be unassuming in appearance, but its food speaks volumes. With a minimalist design and a concise menu, this hidden gem focuses on delivering high-quality dishes that impress. The chef is a very talented friendly man, who has quite an experience. The restaurant offers a tasting menu once a month, and I truly recommend trying that! For those seeking exceptional cuisine in a relaxed setting, this is a must-visit destination
I saw this restaurant as I was driving by, decided to give it a try and wow, what a wonderful hidden gem this is. The chef is a great person with some serious experience, who delivers world class tasting dishes sprinkled with high end service. Definitely Michelin guide worthy. Even the plates, glasses and cutlery - all were of high quality and style. I recommend trying this place out, you won't regret it.
What a hidden gem ! It's always a privilege to eat at a great restaurant, this new restaurant was no exception. If you love Italian food, great ambience, great service and amazing food, then this place is definitely for you. From the antipasto to dessert it was a wonderful experience. Chef/owner George is super friendly and talented. His signature Key Lime Pie is so delicious that is something to die for
What a great place for a date night! Service was wonderful. The chef comes out to great you and the atmosphere is perfect. The presentation of the food was picture perfect and the food tasted amazing! You must try their mushroom risotto, beats all other risottos I’ve ever had! Their Desserts were on another level! The bread pudding was to die for! This is a must try place and we will definately come again!

A serendipitous find when staying nearby on a business trip, I would even endure Toronto traffic to return when staying farther away. Every aspect of dining here was top notch. The service was wonderful, the food was out of this world, and everyone made us feel like we were guests being welcomed into their home.
This was by far the best experience from any restaurant I ve been to! The atmosphere and food was delicious & no other restaurant in Vaughan can compare to their unforgettable hospitality. I will be back for every special occasion!!
We found Smoke & Mirrors while on a stay over in Vaughan. Stopped in for a snack. The restaurant was almost full so we grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Beyond great service! Thank you Victoria! Its is a small place but worth going.
I recently celebrated my birthday at Smoke and Mirrors, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the outstanding service to the amazing food and drinks, everything exceeded my expectations. It s been a long time since I ve had such a great dining experience. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we ll definitely be returning!
My husband and I dined with another couple last night and we were blown away by the service and yummy food. We were greeted and taken care of as soon as we arrived. Our waitress was was super friendly, so polite and very helpful all night. She even suggested a few items off-menu based on our cravings. After ordering they brought a plate of bread, parmigiano and olives to the table with olive oil and a deliciously sweet balsamic vinegar - they even refilled the bread without asking which was much appreciated. Then we were spoiled with a complimentary treat of a fig with balsamic glaze and a dollop of mascarpone - that was a nice surprise. By the time our mains came we were already getting full but we are it all up with gusto as everything was delicious! We had the nduja and burrata pizza, the potato truffle pizza, mushroom ravioli and prime rib - all were amazing. Even the desserts were fantastic! The coconut cream pie was my fave! Chef made an appearance at the end of the night which was so lovely. Genuinely wanted to know if we enjoyed and he had a massive smile on his face the whole time. It was a great experience. We will definitely be back!
George and his team go out of their way to make you feel at home. OMG... the amount of shareable bread and olives and the complimentary Bruschetta that he sent out... wow. The high quality olive oil was amazing. I am on an elimination diet so the fact that he could work with my dietary restrictions was special. Its authentic Italian food. You can tell that the staff cares. I also really like the cocktails and the gatsronomy experience. He made some mocktails with the bubble maker for the kids and that was special for them. Strong drinks, great apps... and the crab cakes and sea bass were unbelieveable! Go book.... you wont regret it! Dietary restrictions: No dairy or flour. No alcohol. No sugar

We really enjoyed our visit here! Friendly and attentive staff, great food. Try the porcini mushroom and truffle ravioli (delicious). Ask about the gnocchi (which is not on the menu). Complementary bread, cheese and olive plate. Excellent value for the quality of food.

This Italian Gastro Pub is a MUST for any foodie! Chef George and team are welcoming, accommodating, professional and so fun. The food is always amazing from the appetizers (polenta fries and any of the salads are total 10/10). To thin crust pizzas and all the mains are fantastic but the real treat is to get any of the fish on the specials menu. You must also save room for chef s signature bread pudding or key lime pie. If you have kids they will also love the fresh chicken fingers or my kids favourite Penne al a vodka. Now for those who like a good cocktail they have any and everything that you could want the wines are yummy and they have fun spins on cocktails that also have bubbles infused with flavours. Vegetarian options: They have tons of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: The team here is willing and able to accommodate many dietary restrictions you just need to tell them Parking: Lots of parking directly in front of the restaurant but also in side and rear Kid-friendliness: Special kid items and very welcoming of kids of all ages.

What an amazing experience! It was a small room with only a few tables, and very intimate. With multiple waiters checking on you, and all of them super nice and friendly, you feel really taken care of. When you get to the table theres bread, cheese, spicy red pepper dip, and olives waiting for you, that gets replenished every so often. Such a nice touch. The extensive specials menu with the regular menu and the customization options is a nice treat. The food was super tasty, and oh my goodness the bread pudding was delicious. At some point the chef came out to chat and introduce himself, which was also a nice touch. We really felt like we were at a friends house having a delicious home-cooked meal. Will absolutely be coming back.
This place is a real hidden gem. Theyre very generous here, the bread plate came with olives and cheese as well, and we got bite-sized bruschetta and fig & prosciutto on the house too. Service is extraordinarily attentive, and food is great. Highly recommend.

The customer service is next to none! When you leave the table and come back, your napkin has been neatly folder and presented back in your spot. Such a small but important gesture. And then the food. Absolutely fantastic! George will make you anything your heart desires.

Hidden Gem in Vaughan. The service and food were impeccable. Located in a very inconspicuous location, but dont be fooled. The menu hosts some interesting twists on traditional dishes. The cocktails were fantastic. Desserts were all made in house, and absolutely phenomenal. One of the best key lime pies I have in a long time, and the bread pudding was probably the best I have ever had.
Excellent food and very friendly staff. The menu does lack a large variety of options but the options that are available are delicious and worth trying! The staff were very friendly and accomodating offing up great suggestions. Would recommend if youre looking for a smaller size resteraunt with a cozy atmosphere.
Service is amazing and it feels like you are in a fine dining restaurant considering the attention to details thanks to Dom the GM. Food is out of this world, the owner and also the Chef, George is super talented and skilled, he will make sure himself that your visit is worth your time. The drinks are also amazing and innovative, not the boring Negronis and martinis you get anywhere else. Make this your to go place in Vaughan. Wish all the best and success. I will be there every friday for a drink.

From the moment you walked in you could see the level of detail put into this restaurant! Aesthetically I was already impressed. The food was also next level! We had the bruschetta, burrata, risotto, beef tenderloin, key lime pie and creme brûlée and each dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection! We will definitely be repeat customers!
Smoke and Mirrors most definitely provided an amazing evening for me, my wife and our friends! From the ambiance to the food to the amazing cocktails, we were beyond impressed. The personal touches from the Executive Chef, George and the added experience of having him come out to meet our group and ensure we were satisfied was just perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant for a group event or the perfect date night!!! We will definitely be back!
Smoke and Mirrors is the perfect name for this new restaurant as you may NEVER expect the food, presentation, service and ambiance to be this good from this little new tucked away gem. Items I tried were completely delectable along with its presentation, and there is a true hospitable, comfortable, everyone is family & friends feeling I felt from the atmosphere and staff, including the Owner/Chef. You feel at home here! What else is one looking for?

Best restaurant in the woodbridge area
Delicious food made from scratch. Even the pasta is house made. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. High-quality ingredients, used in every dish. The crab cakes was marvellous with lots of crab meat.
Fine dining food in elegant environment, yet friendly and family warm hospitality. Loved the personal touch to have executive chef George come out to greet us (ex-Susur Lee and Michaels steakhouse chef). Food was delicious! Will definitely be back!
Rarely do I leave reviews and always weary of trying new place but this restaurant is next level. I had to leave a review. Service: top notch, five star and really cater to your needs Ambience: beautifully decorated, cozy spot, and still get the upscale feel Food: Michelin star trained chef, and for a fraction of the price! Food was amazing! You can really tell the chef thinks of every detail! And the desert forget about it! Must try for any occasion!

If you want excellence, you must go to Smoke and Mirrors Restaurant. From the moment you enter, you will experience none like no other. Domenic s service is impeccable. Everything is prepared by George who is the most talented chef and his food is delicious and the presentation is exquisite. 5 star in my books!

5 stars across the board! First we were struck by the atmosphere and pleasant welcome we received at the door. This is an intimate space - very cool/cozy. We were seated promptly and the food came hot and delicious! We really enjoyed our dinner. Great creative drinks and desserts. We look forward to coming back and bringing family and friends!

I do not know the owners so this is an unbiased opinion. This place is top shelf. We had a large party so were able to order alot of different dishes and they were all incredible. The service was excellent and we will come back alot more thats for sure. Safron rissoto and scallops is a must. They had a tonne of daily features too. Well done gentlemen.
Absolutely amazing experience! Definitely recommend you to try this hidden gem in the neighbourhood. The service was fantastic and the food to die for. Faves for the night were the lobster risotto, veal marsala and bread pudding, all delicious. Thank you for such a great experience, we are 100% coming back :)
