We usually avail of the all you can eat shrimp at captains boil but this would probably the last time we eat at Captains boil... First, I needed to find a server to provide the plastic gloves and didnt even get bibs. Second, the servers never mentioned that the drinks were not refillable even if there was a section that said refillable. We requested refills twice and the server never mentioned that drinks were not refillable. Paid for it, but I feel ripped off.

I would not recommend this place only because of the service, it will make a big difference in your experience. I ve dined out a lot and have had waiters/waitresses who obviously don t want to be there but still do the job. I rarely write reviews but the service here was terrible. The waiters and waitresses were very unfriendly and unprofessional and it made the experience questionable. We entered and stood at the door for 15+ mins before being acknowledged and told to have a seat until the table was ready (we saw many free tables so we were unsure so we stood there until being told to sit and wait). The waitress was a young lady with red hair who was careless and inattentive. We ordered our food and asked for a litre of beer with ice on the side. She brought us a single sized drink and no ice and then disappeared so we couldn t even tell her it wasn t what we ordered. She walked over to the table and dumped/threw the bags of seafood boil and just walked away super fast. I got the incorrect order. She was always standing at the bar with her back to us and there weren t many staff. The staff walk by fast with no eye contact and it was hard to get a hold of someone else or anyone, they come and leave quick my. We were then missing our sides (rice) and waited 10 mins until a waiter was available we could wave down. We were being served by different people throughout cause our waitress just disappeared. Then we flagged down another waiter for the ice we asked for and her never brought it. We finally waved down our same waitress and asked for the ice. She then started to clean tables then went back to socializing. We finally just went to the bar ourselves to get ice, and she finally came back and asked if we still wanted it and said sorry. We then waited and waited for the bill. Another waitress finally got us the bill after we waited and waited and waved someone down (as we did the entire time for simple things because no one cares). The same waitress then came asked us if we want the bill and we told her we asked already for it. She then said you already asked another person for the bill? And we said yes and she just walked away really fast and didn t say anything, surprised she was even upset because we didn t expect her to bring us the bill.

Beautifully cozy atmosphere with exceptional service from Hamid. I ve become a regular in no time due to his welcoming personality and efficient service.

I dined at this location a few weeks ago, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering, there were no staff members available to greet or seat us. Instead, there was a sign instructing us to sit and wait, with no further guidance. Despite waiting for nearly 20 minutes, no one approached us, though I noticed staff serving others while casting occasional glances in our direction. Eventually, someone came over and asked what I needed, and when I explained that I d been waiting to be seated, they finally seated me. The waitress who attended to us made no apologies for the delay. She took our order and later brought out the food, which was disappointing. I ordered a few seafood boils, but they arrived without corn, as they claimed it wasn t available after summer. The shrimp boil looked undercooked, smelled overly fishy, and was inedible. I returned it, and thankfully, they took it back. Throughout the meal, the waitress never checked on us. The food quality was subpar, the service was terrible, and the meal was overpriced. To top it off, a 15% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I will never dine at this establishment again. This was one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had.

Worse service Ive seen in years. Food was taking too long to arrive and there were like 3 mistakes in our order. Servers were too busy and it felt like the place had half the number of servers they needed to serve a full restaurant on a Friday evening. Last time I go there for sure.

Ordered here for delivery and got severe food poisoning. Never had this issue at any other location. I won t be reordering.

My daughter ordered king crab leg, which came in 4 small legs with 2 corn nothing special and this place charge her $105. That is insane. Never go back.!!!!

Seafood restaurant recommended by Italian neighbors. When we came here, we found that it was really good. The service was very good and they carefully recommended dishes to us.

I went here for the first time & honestly amazing food, prices are reasonable and the staff, especially the server Hamid is amazing.

The menus need to update its old and dirty , the seats need to be clean, and you can see where hands have been wiped in them. but overall the food was really good but expensive .

I don t think it s worth returning. Food and service was mediocre. Booths are in poor condition and restroom filthy. It wasn t that busy. ***Just be careful with payment. They add 15% service charge without advising (us family of 4). Server placed the receipt under the pinpad to collect payment and we added additional gratuity without realizing, when I checked the bill and question the double tip she could barely admit it (I m not leaving a 35% tip calculated on top of HST). We always tip (extra depending on service), but overall should be voluntary for smaller parties. They did return a portion back. How it was dealt with, It felt like a scam amongst the servers to be honest, not sure if other patrons realize. That s why I decided to share.

Went and tried captains boil a couple weeks ago. It was fun and the fish tasted great! Loved the experience and I d definitely would go back. You eat a lot with your hands so they give you disposable gloves but they also give you a plastic plate and fork and knife.

Bring your appetite and all your friends. If you like seafood this is it. Game over... Nowhere else to go after this.

This place needs a good cleaning. The staff seem disorganized on which table they were helping. The host never said a word. We just followed him to our table were we sat for 7 min. The server finally came over and asked has any helped you? No Are you ready to order? We didn t even understand to menu. She explained it to us. Should I come back she said. We said can we order drinks. Which we did. They showed up half we through our meal. We went for my daughter 17th birthday. No one asked if it was a special occasion. No one asked if we wanted a second drink. Won t be back not because of the food. But no one there cares. We dropped $400 tonight. Not even a thanks.

Worlds most disgusting lobster poutine. Looked like vomit. Zero lobster went into making it. My husband and I paid $50 for glorified French fries drizzled with God knows what. Hi, I had previously visited twice with my dog, who was safely inside a stroller, I was surprised and disappointed to encounter resistance from the manager on duty, who refused to allow my dog to enter. Your restaurant s manager, Hirbod, asked for my service animal card, which I presented to him. However, he stated that he was looking for a physical card. I explained to him that I have a digital card and certificate with a QR code. He claimed that the source of this card is a fake website where one can purchase a service animal certificate. I informed him that I had provided my spouse s medical letter to obtain this card and that there was no need for me to disclose my spouse s medical reasons to him. Additionally, I mentioned that I had previously visited your restaurant twice, and each time, my dog sat quietly inside the closed stroller. Despite this, he said that he would not allow entry.

This is my favourite location to come to with my family for dinner because of the great service they provide

This is my go-to place for refreshing weekend, always fresh shrimp, no shame to get your hands messy. No moms slapping for messy table. U can be yourself. To add, the temperature of the beer is super, Id recommend a pint of Keith to add to your finale dining. Oh, make sure you mix up the sauce with a bowl of rice, the messier the better !!

First time ever I left no tip, the server never asked if we wanted a drink, had to ask for salt and pepper since no table had them, then never saw him again as he just sat in the corner on his phone. Ordered fish and chips, (a seafood place cant make fish and ships great? ) bacon wrapped scallops, garlic bread, clearly all of this was just frozen out of a box and heated up. then had to get up and pay at counter since the server just went and cleaned off tables as he walked by us

I dont know how the dine in experience is but the take out is awful. First, when you come to the take out side a giant table blocks you from entering the restaurant. Assuming its there for quick pick ups from Uber and self orders. Doesnt take into accounts walk ins. I order the food from the server. Theres no crawfish, how are you out of stock on this? Its a Saturday and it should be a big seller. I settle for shrimp and think, I could have went to Red Lobster for this. He says itll be 15 minutes. He doesnt invite me to sit down or anything. I self seat. About 10 minutes later a waitress brings out a bag and leaves it on the table behind us. I ask if that is our food. She takes my receipt and checks it and says no, its not our food. So I wait ...another 10 minutes comes by and a waiter grabs that same bag and gives it to us. A nice cold bag of shrimp which should have been warm. I got mad and said that its been waiting for 10 minutes, the waitress said it wasnt but that was incorrect and now I have cold food. I asked what can they do for me to make this right, they only offered to redo the order. Im not waiting another 10 minutes. They didnt want to do anything else. No discount offered, no dessert, no credit, nothing. They dont care, they gaslight you cause the manage said there was no way she could have known it was my order. This made me even more angry, I said she grabbed my receipt and checked against the bad and said it wasnt my bag. So they dont care, they gaslight you, they wont make it better and now I got cold shrimp. You are better off going to Red Lobster. And if the manager wants to contact me to make this right, Ill be waiting.

We had recently visited Caption Boil with a group of friends. First of all, our food took forever to come. They had missed a couple orders and brought them after we informed the waitress. The waitress never checked up on us. We had to go up to the bar to request water twice. We asked for drink refills but they never ended up bringing it yet it was entered into the system and we were charged. When it came to paying our bills we were each charged gratuity. I do not understand why each person had to pay 10-20 dollars in tips when our server never bothered checking up on us. This is the second time we visited this location with a group of people and both times the service was horrible. I do not recommend this location at all

Im disappointed in the service of captainss boil. I called 30 minutes prior to takeout and was promised the orser would be ready in 25 minutes. Subsequently when I arrived I still had to wait another 40 minutes for my order to be ready. I wouldnt recommend ordering from here seems to be very disorganized.

Do not go to the Vaughn location, worst service I have ever had , the 2 servers were two busy talking and watching a soccer game. Had to ask for my drinks after the food came , rice was bland not the regular seafood rice served at other locations. 30 minutes into meal had to ask what happened to the shrimp and fries basket that came with our combo. If I could give 0 stars I would have.

Isabella is the best server I have ever had a dine-in experience with, meaning the service was phenomenal and their choice of staff is GREAT! The food was very good as well and I have NOTHING bad to say about captains boil. I truly hope that they get the recognition and respect that they deserve and a huge pat on their backs. The dedication, love, and overall greatness SHOWS through this experience. I hope they are around for very long as I look forward to bringing my future wife and family here. I will forever be grateful for this experience and this restaurant. I came in here in a kind of bad mood, and walked out with the biggest smile on my face, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. I had soup and bacon wrapped Scallops And after complaining about the soup ordered my Bill and left and ate at my boyfriends moms house. That lady can cook a burger and a damn good one at that. Way better than any junk at this place.

Food was mediocre obviously no one in Vaughn can cook cause you can make it cheaper at home and itd probably taste a lot better. I dont mind paying for good food and service but this place wasnt it. Please note that 15% tips are automatically charged on every bill. Personally, I would rate this place a 3.0 overall due to some excellent food choices. I only tried the rice, and fish and chips. The rice was consistently good, and the fish and chips were excellent. I havent visited since around 2020, so Im not sure if there have been any changes since then. In my opinion, the service quality can vary. Based solely on my speculation, there seemed to be a high staff turnover, which might affect the consistency of service. In fact, some reviews also mention issues with service, which are understandable.

The food was good. The service was horrendous and could make/break your experience. There is clearly a reason why the service reviews here are so bad. We waited 30+ min for our sides and by the time they came we were all done our main dishes.

I ve been here before and their service is not just bad , I have no words to describe it . I never tip them for this reason. Today I have ordered mix and match on Uber eats asking for non spicy and still got a very spicy order I couldn t eat it, the shrimps were absolutely disgusting to clean they use some cheap shrimps. And cannot even get my refund.

the lightts are dim i went last night with my friends and it is such a fun experience. everything gets put in the middle and shared so it brings a great vibe to talk and relax! our server was adorable and so kind she made sure to answer all our questions too since it was our first time there! would def recommend

went and it truly deserves all the hype. the smell of the boil when you open the bag and as someone whose family goes to seafood boil OFTEN! captains boil is certainly our favourite the way they do their signature sauce has my entire family hooked! clean bathrooms! GIANT portion sizes! the sweetest server girls you will meet alongside the most memorable experience. we loved the mix and match bags, calamari, fried rice and lobster !

This was our third time at this location and the food is to die for. Not a big fan of the seafood being served in a bag but I get it. Service was slightly off. We had to wait for take away boxes for over 20 mins. I m definitely coming back. They will win back the 5th star!

I have used to dine in and take out for many years. Since I moved up north, I will order takeout to bring home for dinner whenever I go down to the city. I happened in the Concord area last weekend and for 6 months to a year. I havent been to the city. Since I am the area and I am craving for the cooking and the seafood. As usual, I make my order to bring home. I came home, and I couldnt wait for the lovely and yummy food that I was always dying for. I warmed up the food, and it was so disappointed. The seafood is not fresh at all. The shrimps can make MASHED SHRIMPS. Fresh shrimps have a spring to the taxture. What us that telling me....no fresh at all. The claims over cook. The taste is not the same at all. I am very sure they change the cooks and recipe. The taste, not even Cajun, tastes at all. I waste my money, and I wont return anymore unless the owner brings back the same taste and spicyness.

Went there last night for my sons birthday and experienced the worst service. The restaurant was empty and it took the server over 15 minutes to ask for our drink order. We asked for starters and they didnt arrive until the very end, when we were done our meal. Our server dropped off my boil and we had to wait 10 minutes for the rest of group to get their dinner. Our server never came to our table after she dropped off our food to ask if there was anything else we needed. So disappointing when you spend hundreds of dollars and experience such poor service. The server did not seem like she wanted to be there and was annoyed when I asked questions about the menu and the Manager was the same. I spoke to him when I was paying my bill and said the service was poor and our starters came at the end of our meal. He was very unpleasant and didnt offer an apology or anything. Definitely wont be back there. There are tons of amazing restaurants in that area that offer great food and have fantastic wait staff that are attentive and friendly and SMILE.

I love The Captain s Boil! If you love seafood and you love sauce, eat here. The only downside today was that the sauce was salty. However, the manager tried to make it right even though the sauce comes premade. Our server, Angela, was great. Not sure what time she started but she added to making our eating experience great.
