Best hidden gem in Coquitlam!! Highly recommend the garlic dumplings (their most popular dish for a reason) and the dry noodle with beef brisket (pay the extra 1$ for the hand made noodles) as well as the red bean pancake. Food was perfectly seasoned and so so delicious !!!
We ordered homemade garlic dumpling, Dan Dan noodle and handmade noodle with beef brisket - all dishes with medium heat and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce on those dumplings was incredible! Will recommend to others 🤩
Really flavorful, really bouncy, chewy noodles! Honestly can’t go wrong with any noodle dish, and they all have a unique flavor! Just don’t expect a lot of toppings - the star of the show is the noodles with the sauce! I really enjoyed the cold noodle dish, 大拉皮, the sauce was the perfect salty sour spicy combination
The duck feet, noodles, and glutinous rice cakes were absolutely delicious. The duck feet were tender and flavorful, perfectly seasoned with a hint of spice. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with a wonderful texture that absorbed the rich, savory sauce beautifully. The glutinous rice cakes were a delightful finish, with a chewy consistency and just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, each dish offered a unique and memorable taste experience.
Originally we wanted to go to Cactus Club but the line was crazily long. We came to the weekend when there was a festival at the mall. So we searched for the highest-rating restaurant nearby and found this place. The food was so good, it blew our mind. We had a spicy shredded potato appetizer. It was spicy but still manageable for us. Their noodles were very different from what we normally saw at other noodle places, so we just kind of picked two very different ones. One was glassy and in chili oil soup, the other one was thin pull noodles in a relatively clear booth. Both were very flavourful and we were so glad that we found this place. Even though this is far from where we live but we will definitely come back to try other types of noodles. We were given free dessert in the end! The dessert was some sort of jelly - it was transparent, chill and not too sweet. Lovely! A perfect ending to a delicious meal.
If you are looking for some authentic Chinese spicy food, especially noodle, this is the place to go! Reasonable price, good portions and great service! Summer is super nice and helpful! We would totally go again!
I have not a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The owner is the nicest lady ever, she kept giving me samples of sweet jelly and milk tea even after I was stuffed by the delicious food here. The food here is absolutely delicious, super authentic and has massive portions. The chitterlings were clean and seriously flavourful in the spicy sauce it came with. The cold shredded chicken salad was also wonderful. The Szechuan hot chili wonton is listed under appetizers, but it is actually a full meal by itself. I couldn't even start it after wolfing down the previous two plates with rice. This place is insane value if you are into spicy food.
This cozy spot might be small with just a few tables for various group sizes, but it adds to the charm of the dining experience. I can't emphasize enough how incredible the food was, particularly the garlic dumplings and spicy wontons. The ability to customize the spiciness level for most dishes is a standout feature. The cold dishes like cucumber and potato were refreshing and tasty. Even though there was a short 10-minute wait, the overall experience was definitely worth it. The complimentary desserts provided to combat the heat were a thoughtful touch. This place is a definite must-visit for its mouthwatering food and attentive service.
Food was delicious ! Everything looks good on the menu so we asked the lady to chose 2 meals for us. It was Saturday night and it was really busy but she took the time to explain the menu and made sure everything was at our liking I highly recommend!
I highly recommend it to those who love Asian food, especially noodles and dumplings.
We order garlic dumpling with homemade noodle soup with beef brisk and super fresh and delicious highly recommend
I do enjoy coming back to this restaurant. An enjoyable assortment of shared dishes make an enjoyable group meal. You have to try their in house prepared noodle dishes. A small quaint restaurant located in Coquitlam that has a large assortment of dishes to order. Parking: Depending on time, free parking on street
The boss is very patient and the fried chicken and handmade noodles are particularly delicious The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and the chicken is very tender and juicy when you bite into it. The taste is not greasy at all, sweet and salty, which completely enhances the taste of the chicken. I cant stop eating every time. There are also noodles, which are really one of my favorites. The noodles are cooked very tough and you can feel the deliciousness after taking one bite. Every time I eat noodles, I feel... Very satisfying, simple yet fulfilling Parking: Free parking after 6:00 Kid-friendliness: Baby chair provided
Packed delicious food, the boss is very nice
Amazing Sichuan food! Great service! Will definitely come back!
Great authentic food, not a lot of tables, and they give you this cool desert at the end of your meal.
Warning: extreme levels of authenticity and excellent service. The food here was so authentic and delicious. It s also super reasonably priced. Might be hard to get a seat because it is a small establishment. I didn t have to wait but I would have. I recommend the beef noodle dish (pay extra for home made noodles) and their dumplings were incredible.
They have the best modules Ive ever had in an Asian restaurant. I lived in Asia for 5 years so I have a high bar for this type of thing.
Amazing handmade dumplings. So many tasty dishes to try. This is my favorite restaurant in the area!
Great little restaurant for authentic szechuan food
Waiting for almost an hour for take out.
Very friendly service, food was very tasty . Price was okay, no complaints at all. Definitely worth trying. :) Food
absolutely 5 stars The taste is very good, the service is very good, and you can tell the store to adjust the taste according to your personal preferences!
S tier dishes: hand pulled noodles, cold skin noodles, red bean biscuit, and dumplings. Highly authentic and top quality. Excellent service. The owner is visibly shorthanded but still managed to greet every guest. Hidden gem. Not to be missed.
Food is good:) Service is awesome!
Very good so very good I love everything
Very pleasant service, traditional food, including dessert and water. You can eat here for good money.
A family restaurant, seems small, but owner and chef are the best. Respond to your inquiries super fast and honest ppl. You can add additional amount for a small amount.
What a hidden gem. Delicious food with original spicy flavour
Very good food and service. Reminds me of the food back in Chengdu
Awesome food! Authentic and full of flavour
Amazing owner great food, vibes and hospitality. Felt like a homemade dish your mom would make.
The food is very good
Very delicious handmade noodles! The chicken noodles and garlic duck feet are very good but they are quite spicy~ The more you eat them, the more you like them Kid-friendliness: It doesnt have to be spicy. baby friendly
Numb, spicy and satisfying
Recommend very delicious
One of the best chilli plates ever
authentic Chinese spicy food, highly recommend!
10 out of 10, will come again.
The soup is really blended and watery. I know the owner will offer you some free dishes if you rate them 5 stars.. I just cant lie!! Shame on the people who took the bribe
Great authentic Chinese food with a welcoming vibe. High suggest a visit and give their garlic dumplings a try.
Quite authentic! Loved their noddles. was not as good as some of other places we had, but noodles was definitely quite yummy!
The milk tea is delicious. It has the taste of the first generation milk tea. It is rare to drink this kind of milk tea now. The soup base of Sichuan beef noodles is provided directly with broth (clear soup), which is not bad.
Delicious and recommended! Very authentic
The service is very good, I recommend the red oil ear pieces!
Quite spicy and tasty noodles. Would definitely go back.
Tried pig ears and noodle soup. Excellent taste, especially the pig ears and great service.
Came here for the first time and it did not disappoint. The food was so tasty, and the service was so friendly. Great spice and flavours. You can definitely taste that the dumplings and noodles were home made. Will definitely be coming back.
Super delicious
Worth trying, delicious
The garlic dumplings were phenomenal. I got the wonton soup, not spicy.(Wontons were so good, some of the best I ve had) The garlic dumplings came in a really yummy sauce so I put that in the wonton soup. It turned out really yummy Food
The taste is good! The price is average. Two people ordered a salad, two noodles and drinks for $60! But I was forced to tip 12%! I dont really appreciate this at all
Good times
The beef noodles are good, a treasure shop!
If you Chinese spicy food. This is the perfect place to go for.
Same topping but different spicy flavor, really like the home made noodles, order delivery but noodles s texture still very nice, the soup with noodles will help lower the spicy.
Ordered brisket dried noodle. It was very delicious. Came with a soup and dessert. Like the dessert as well.
I love Chinese cold noodles. Unfortunately, food was mediocre and overpriced. Beef noodles soup was very plain and underseasoning. Not recommended.
Homemade, flavourful noodles and friendly staff in a great location near all the shopping. Wow!
Really nice little restaurant for authentic Sichuan food. The waitress is friendly and helpful.
The food is delicious, the spiciness is moderate, and the beef louvers are delicious! The boss is very nice!
I dont really do spicy food and I asked for the noodles to be at a medium level of spice. Overall I thought it was delicious and a really good amount of spice (for me). Lots of mouth flavor, the portions were large. The lady serving us was super lovely and was making sure the spice level is correct and coming by often to refill our water cups. We also got pig ears for the first time and they were really good too. Ill come back when I fancy something spicy.
Pls clean your floor, table, cabin which are all way too greasy .. when dining in, the greasy smell stays on my clothes and hair will not go again .
Tastes great! Very authentic, a taste you can t find in Vancouver! Especially the pig intestines, worth a try, the place is small, but the service is very good
Authentic Sichuan flavor! Delicious food, delicious food, and friendly service. Come back next time!
Food is spot on, but the menu in store and on doordash is difficult to navigate. Too many items and messy.
Tastes very good
Very good food .
To be honest, it s a bit expensive and tastes mediocre.
Hubby and I ordered chicken cold noodle, rice cake and the staff gave a small bowl of sweet jelly soup. You can request not spicy on certain dishes, definitely suggest to order at least a little spicy. As the store is Chuan chili which the food will taste much better with spicy flavour. There is free parking space as per the picture in the store. However you can still park it at Coquitlam centre and walk over as a second option.
This is a family style noodle restaurant with a no frills interior and presentation. The food tastes great but could be better if the soup was warmer. Service is great and fast.
Reasonable price, good taste Sichuan sausage is delicious
The service is perfect! Foods are really delicious and reasonable! Worth to visit again! Revisit in 2024 April and the food quality is still above standard!! Food
Taste of home. home sick fix
Excellent little place for noodles!!! I got a beef shank dry thin noodle and a fried chicken for take out. Noodles were perfectly seasoned and not oily. Chicken was juicy and crunchy even when I got home. Well marinated. When you order on their website, you can choose how spicy, how numbing, how oily etc. lots of customizations. I just chose regular for everything as this was my first time eating here. The only down side is it is a small shop; so waiting for your meal can be long during lunch hours. But I would wait for their food again!!
Very authentic Schezwan food. Woman who works at the front is very sweet. Would definitely order again.
Super good and authentic Sichuan food, reminds me of the days in China, great to have this restaurant in BC, excellent service and good atmosphere for socials as well. Non spicy option is available too.
Good food Reasonable price Food
This place was amazing! The lady that served us was so lovely, she came by and explained different dishes to us. She gave us a picture book of all the food as well (we are very white lol). We shared the duck feet & the green onion pancake, both were delicious and a new food for us to try. I had the banbannoodles (pictured) hubby had the Szechuan special beef dried noodle, and both were sooooo good. Going home happy and stuffed. Thank you so much Chuan Chili House, fabulous food and a great experience!
Delicious!
So good, very different. Waitress was very nice and attentive even when busy. Would absolutely come here again!!!
Chongqing noodles are delicious
An amazing place to go check out if youre into hand made noodles and an authentic Chinese noodle house experience. From the food to the atmosphere, this place both was delicious and inviting. I had the chicken feet and the Dan Dan noodles, and it was amazing ! And trust me ask for spicy as these guys know what theyre doing with the spice, as the food was spicy, but it wasnt just spice it was actual flavour which a lot of places never really get right. Great experience and I will be returning
The store is very warm, the table is clean and oil-free, and the proprietress is warm and thoughtful, and can customize the order for each customer. The food is authentic and authentic, with a lot of choices, which satisfies my frequent nostalgia for Sichuan cuisine.
Delicious food. The spicy pig ears is very authentic!
Fast, tasty and reasonably priced!
Amazing place, awesome food and service
Ziba is very delicous. Noodle is super good.
Pretty good! If you love spicy food you should come here! Recommend the hand made noodles!
Great tasty food! Awesome service. The milk tea is surprisingly good.
The food taste very good. Very good service
Food was excellent, service great and price fair.
My favourite restaurant in coquitlam
Sichuan cuisine is one of the four major cuisines in China and is famous for its spicy food. I cant eat spicy food, so I tried Ogawas for the first time, and I became a customer right away. Life is full of surprises! You can choose the spiciness level (haha, I choose light spiciness). First of all, I recommend the thinly sliced pig ears. When held with chopsticks, they appear translucent. Of course, they are very delicious. Secondly, the amazing thing is the dumplings. For such an ordinary thing, I was pleasantly surprised when I ate them at Ogawa s house. The first bite made my eyes widen at the deliciousness. The skin is soft and tender, and the fillings are all made of the ingredients themselves. Fresh and sweet, how can there be dumplings that are so delicious from the inside out! ? All meals have a special aroma that makes you addicted once you eat them. Dessert is included after the meal, it is cool and sweet, and perfectly balances the spicy taste in your mouth. How can it be described as refreshing? It will be added to the pocket list for future visits
Delicious! Recommended brown sugar glutinous rice cake, red oil pig ears, signature beef handmade noodles, pickled pepper chicken
Chinese No.1 restaurant
tasty
Had a super nice experience eating here. The food here is authentic and delicious! The owners are super nice and care about their food quality. Would definitely come back again! Food : 5/5 |
Food is very delicious. Service is excellent. The waitress will let me know how to order these nice courses. Sichuan flavor, moderate portions, good taste and good service. We went there again later, and coincidentally discovered that a neighbor also liked this restaurant. I feel that the ingredients of the dishes and the spicy oil are relatively fresh, and the oil does not have the smell of being reused.
Tiny Cozy Amazing
Very delicious! The service is very good, very clean, there are many styles, and there are many choices. I have a bit picky taste and the clerk was very patient in helping me
The service is very attentive, clean and hygienic, and the food is delicious! Recommended fried chicken nuggets and brown sugar glutinous rice cake
The place is small, but the food was authentic Chinese food. I loved their fresh homemade noodles better than udon noodles. I like the jelly dessert they give at the end of the meal.
The hand pulled noodles are really good! Cooked al dente with just the right amount of chew! Portion is huge, soup base is savoury, and the noodle toppings were good quality and well prepared. They also offered a small bowl of the sichuan jello desert (bing fen), didn t have all the toppings like they do it in chongqing but hey it was free and the jello tasted legit! My 60 yo (very Chinese) parents and 20 yo CBC brother both approved!
Every dish was DELICIOUS. Service fast and friendly. Chili wontons and cucumber salad were standouts.
Nice couple owners. Very good service. Parking: Limited paid parking, hard to find a place to park Food : 5/5 |
Amazing authentic Chinese food! If you like spicy food, definitely come check them out!
The noodles were delicious, but the fork-dumping was the worst. It is not a handmade dumpling, but a dumpling that can be purchased anywhere in T&T or superstore. The disappointment was too great. Food : 1/5
So delicious
4.8 avg rating, not 5.0!? Went here with my ex-girlfriend and a good pal of mine and the Ex made that comment. Service was flawless. Waitress showered us with a lot of attention and care without being obnoxious. Always checked if our tea cups were empty or if dishes needed to be cleared. Szechaun dishes are not something we typically order and she did a phenomenal job recomending dishes to us. Tried the mung bean noodle dish, the chilli dumpling, chicken giblets and a dish with a funny sounding name - Chatterlings? something like that ,which was the dish we all loved. Had intestimrs, home made noodles corriander in a savory chilli sauce. Every dish just hit it out of the ball park. Perfect balance of spicy/sour. Every morsel chaulk full of umami. Interior decor was pleasant. Nothing cookie cutter. Unique wood slabbed tables of different shapes and sizes. Had a bar table as well for individual guests. Waitress promptly and throughly cleaned tables once patrons left. Hidden gem of a place. Nice to see some Chinese restaurants like this that offer this level of genuine customer service. Refreshing to say the least.
Have a good time eat noodles
Best noodle I had in Vancouver! Every dish was authentic and tasty! Service was very warm! We very much enjoyed the experience, will definitely revisit! Highly recommended!
Their Garlic Dumplings, Dan Dan Noodles and Spicy Beef Noodle were all delicious and the server was friendly and on point with her recommendations. Will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem.
Hidden gem in Coquitlam! Absolutely love the garlic dumplings and dried beef noodles..big portions and friendly service as well You can choose the spiciness level and they gave us free desserts
Hand-made noodles with sufficient quantity
This place is a hidden gem and is hands down the best hand made noodles and dumplings in the tri cities. Would recommend the beef noodle and garlic dumplings. Can really taste the hand made texture. The waitress is extremely friendly. Great service.
Great neighbourhood joint for Szechuan food. Have been here twice and have not been disappointed. Amazing service as well.
Everything is great!
Authentic Sichuan cuisine. But too salty and too spicy for me. Also not enough room for in-store dining. It is not a good choice If you care about dining environment.
Delicious, Fat Sausage Chongqing Noodles. I tried traditional and handmade noodles and both were delicious. I like the traditional noodles which are more flavorful. Will try the chicken noodle next time.
best noodles in the tri cities. the service is excellent, the noodles are the right level of spicy. I am coming back here every week excuse the photo I already ate half / most of my noodles before remembering to take a photo it s SO GOOD
Delicious, recommended!
Recommend everyone to come and eat
tasty
This is a cozy restaurant with warm, personal service. Food is simple but delicious with a homey touch.
Today I went with my son to have his teeth cleaned in Coquitlam, and I accidentally discovered this Sichuan-style treasure shop that specializes in handmade noodles. The noodles are chewy. I ordered the dry-mixed beef offal noodles. That one tasted amazing, and the others are also delicious. I believe it. I should give it back next time I go to Coquitlam.
Amazing soup and dumplings! The garlic dumplings are a must try! Cant ask for a better noodle soup. Noodles are fresh and the broth is flavourful. The staff are so kind. Definitely recommend
Great Food
Trying out this restaurant for the first time. Ordered wonton noodle and the soup base was excellent and the ingredients were fresh. Will definitely visit again.
Very delicious. Recommended!
Very delicious Sichuan style food. Good service and price right I think the chef is the boss.
good food
Food was pretty good but quite spicy. Much of what you eat is chili, but still very tasty. Service was top notch although the place is quite small.
Small restaurant but good food. They have homemade noodles that are a must to be ordered. The Karaage chicken was very crispy and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Can get busy during dinner time as the place is not very good. Got free jelly dessert and extra soup for noodles. Service staff was very nice and attentive.
The taste is popular, but very fragrant. If you like spicy food, you can tell the boss lady in advance to add spicy flavor.
Best chili wonton I ever tasted. So tasty and delicious. Great service and kind workers! So authentic and reminds me of Asia. Comes with free dessert! :) Will definitely come again
Delicious and very traditional Shi Chuan taste
This place is hole in the wall. The foods are authentic and service is good. But the place is not big, so its not for big group. Parking: Free parking entrance is on Glen drive.
Great food. Service is great i bring my family Mom found it You should try Wheelchair accessibility: Can fit
Authentic Sichuan cuisine. The noodle soup is very recommended
Delicious! A gem for handmade Chinese noodles and atypical cuts like intestines and pig ears. This was my first time coming here, and I had the less spicy version of the Chongqing Chitterlin Spicy Noodle with the handmade noodles. The chitterlin was cooked very well, extremely tender. The noodles had an excellent texture, definitely worth the upgrade. I was worried itd be too spicy (Sichuan style) but it was fine. I can typically only handle mild, mild-medium heat. I cant wait to come back and try different dishes! The only caution is that restaurant itself is a bit small and tight for space. I wouldnt recommend dining in if you use a wheelchair or have a stroller. You should take out instead.
I always find myself ending up getting food from this place whenever I am in the Tricities. Love their food!
This is the Small family restaurant. The special dishes are traditional of spicy or Hot dishes. I order the hot and spicy beef noodle with Soup. The Beef of internal organ mixed. Lady boss give us the Chinese Jell-O desert as Free. The location of this restaurant is in the downtown Coquitlam. Close to SkyTrain station. Free parking underground.
My new favourite noodle restaurant in the Tri-cities! Came here twice in one week. The restaurant is small and cozy. We tried the Chili garlic dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, veg spring rolls, chilli chicken feet, Szechuan chili wonton, Dan Dan Noodles, Chongqing beef noodle, noodle soup with beef brisket and Chongqing pork ribs noodle. The noodles are the perfect texture and the sauce and broth were so delicious. Also loved the chili garlic and chili wonton. Many of the noodles you can order spicy or non-spicy but the beef is marinated in a spicy sauce so there will still be a little bit of spice. Our server was very friendly and made some suggestions for our first visit and also suggested other dishes for when we come back (which we ordered on our second visit). We were also given a complimentary lightly sweetened cold jelly dessert. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you love noodles.
First time at this restaurant and i really liked the small cozy atmosphere of the place. It was pouring rain outside and it felt like a great place to get some hot and spicy food to warm up! I got the chitterlings chongching spicy noodles and it was very good! Noodles had a nice chew and there was a nice amount of sauce! I want to come back and try other dishes! The nice thing about the menu is there is an accompanying photo book of each dish so you can see what youll be ordering. Hehe I went back for another visit! There is a menu on the whiteboard for new items and I tried the Tofu Dessert with sugar syrup and it was yummy! I think it had a bit of ginger taste in the syrup which I love!! I got the Spicy Dried Noodle with Beef Brisket (spicy version) and chose Hand made noodles it was so good! The mala spice made my tongue tingle with numbness and it was a good spiciness~ Also tried the Dan Dan noodles! That was delicious! You can eat it easily and itll be gone before you know it! Ill attach more photos below!
Taste very good! You can order according to your spicy level. Hand made noodle is perfect
Food is great! Decent price, good service. Vegetarian options: For a Chinese restaurant, they have quite a bit of options for vegetarians Food : 5/5 |
Very good handmade noodles
Amazing flavours, top notch service, authentic food, and homemade noodles!! Lots to choose from and our server was so helpful in making recommendations. Garlic dumplings should not be missed and that may have been the best green onion pancake Ive had the pleasure to meet. So glad this gem of a restaurant found its home in my neighbourhood!
Hole in the wall kind of restaurant, feels like you re in someone s home. Very good Szechuan hand-made noodles and they gave me free herbal jelly dessert as well. The service is very good.
Parking: , . Parking space
Very good basic Chineses Szechuan food if you are craving some. The owner is very friendly and nice atmosphere. Perfect for smaller group for 1-4 people. Have individual dishes for one person.
We went into this place on a whim and we re blown away by their food. The gyoza is hand made every morning and gets sold out quickly so I would recommend that you get that. The noodles were also amazing. They have hand-pulled noodle option and I regret not getting that but the soup and the ingredients they used seem very authentic. Be careful of the portions because we couldn t finish everything that we ordered but I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Chinese noodle place!
Highly recommend the beef noodles and hot and sour noodles! The taste is super good, the hot and sour noodles are refreshing. There is also milk tea on sale now
A small Chinese noodle place with very good food quality, vibe, and service. I would definitely come back!
Taste great!
very nice little place, price reasonable, flavor is also really good
Ive been here twice now and the food is great! I love the home made noodles. Its also helpful that they have a book of pictures of the dishes as well. This time I had the pork rib noodles, which were very tasty Food
Sichuan food just like-a mama used to make. Theyll handmake dumplings right in front of you. For myself, a rough and tough Chinese person, everything here is very tasty. But a warning to those who arent into strong meat flavors to avoid the chitterling and giblets.
Their takeout bag and container does not work properly and spilled soup all over my bag
Very delicious and reasonable price!
Loved it. Good service Good food Not many seats available fyi
Good taste! Very real Chinese food
The taste is authentic, the environment is warm, and the milk tea is delicious! The boss lady is pretty
So good! Had the Szechuan beef dry noodles, and some veggie gyoza! Service was great as well! Definitely a repeat for friends & I
Dietary restrictions: People who are vegetarians can easily find delicious choices Food
Really yummy sichuan food! The chicken appetizer was amazing and the hand pulled noodles had great texture. The spice definitely hits the spot and my 12 year old brother also had no problem with it. Will definitely come back next time!
Very good food Reasonable price Food
Yummy
Delicious
The best Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. The chili noodle is so delicious and the service is great.
Restaurant worthy of five stars The shop is small, not many seats But the food quality is very good I dont usually eat noodles, so I had a surprise today This handmade noodles is really delicious The clerk is attentive, considerate and polite I really want to recommend it to my friends Parking: There are paid parking spaces on the roadside Turn right after the store and there is free parking (2990 Glen Dr)
NOT SZECHUAN STYLE AT ALL!!! NOT CHONGQING NOODLE AT ALL!!! We NEVER EVER use this kind of in noodle with or without soup. The noodle is acceptable though this kind of quality will NEVER show in authentic Chongqing noodle. And in terms of appetizers and desserts, they are good localized product but faaaaaaaaar away from authentic. Finally, red bean pancake is really tasty. You can also find it in supermarkets in Richmond ;) (To store - no need to reply me 3)
They have a menu without pictures and menu with pictures. Heres the fun part - some of the pictured dishes are not on the worded menu. I cant even tell you what I ordered in English as the pictured menu is only in chinese. It was a numbing noodle that has words almost the same as the worded menu but slightly different haha... the dish was full of flavor though and with numbing chilis. Really good. Dried noodle with beef tripe - flavorless. Very little pieces of tripe. We ordered their hand made thick noodles for an extra $1 and it was not very thick. Probably as thick as shanghai noodles but I expected flat and wide noodles. Noodles werent very chewy. Would not order this again. Garlic dumplings - not sure which part is garlic because the sauce tastes like the japanesw salad sauce (the one with the blended carrots). Tasty though. Feels like dishes are hit or miss. Maybe the key is only order the dishes that are spicy.
Chuan chili house is a great place for Chinese spicy noodles. Excellent service and delicious food!
Many years ago there was a family-style beef noodle shop called Yi Yi Noodle Shop on Kingsway. I didnt say it was particularly delicious, but it was the kind of shop you would want to go back to eat again. This is the feeling of Ogawas family. Delicious noodles and timely service. I will come again. Thank you.
The food is really good! I ordered the dried homemade noodle with chitterling and picked cabbage. Very delicious, and not too spicy as I asked for less spicy.
tasty. There was a lot to eat for 4 people, and the milk tea was delicious and had a strong tea flavor.
Tasteless food and the price is a lot higher than its worth.
fantastic food and service + free jelly
So delicious
Food
Super delicious
Delicious
Adorable little cafe! has a great options for vegetarians too! Everything was so so good and they open quite late. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Delicious food at a very convenient location! Highly recommend the beef noodle soup. Parking: Lots of parking spaces.
Everything is delicious The taste is very good The service is also very attentive. Worth coming again Very spicy and authentic
Delicious! Very rich noodle broth. Friendly staff. Washrooms are a bit far haha. Medium spice is very tolerable for me who never eats spice. They gave a cooling jelly dessert for free that totally neutralized the spice! A great place. Will come again :) Parking: Inside their store shows where the free parking is, so check before you pay! Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, same level as the street (including the distant washrooms lol)
Very nice late night option for fried chicken around Coquitlam Center
Unpretentious and Amazing!
The Ogawa family, a new sense of understanding
Good service, delicious food
A friend brought me here and it tastes amazing!
Amazing amazing food! After discoving this place, Ive been back 3 times in one week! Highly would recommend this to anyone in the area
The fat intestine noodles, beef offal noodles and sweet potato pancakes are good, and they also come with dessert. Will visit again if I have the chance!
Awesome service and food!!!!
Tasty and authentic food. Good services as well.
Very nice little restaurant, love the design and service. Food was amazing, hand made noodles are very nice. I highly recommend
Yummy
Discovering a charmingly cozy establishment with exceptionally warm service, I opted for the delectable combination of spicy and sour chicken offals noodles alongside the flavorful dry-mixed intestines noodles. The authenticity of the spicy and sour noodle broth truly stood out. To elevate the experience, consider adding a touch of perfection with some crispy fried soybeans and chinese pickled greens.
The food is absolutely delicious!
A long-lost taste, delicious
It tastes good, my favorite is the red oil louver
Overall, the food is delicious (I ordered beef noodles) and served with a complimentary dessert (Jelly with raisin). The shop is nice, but with limited capacity, and its easy to locate. The only negative thing is that the portion was not good enough to fill my gut.
Great Chinese food!
I had the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodles. You could choose the noodle type and spiciness level, but I chose thin noodles and medium spiciness. The vegetables and meat were tender and quite filling, and the noodles were also plentiful. Spicy radish, spicy radish. I dont think people who translate this and see what the spicy, tongue-tingling taste is. I don t know if acrid is the right expression. I chewed something I dont know if it was the pepper or spice in the marinade, but my mouth felt sore. When impact was applied to the muscles inside the elbow, a tingling sensation seemed to arise in the mouth. I ate happily, my salivary glands exploding and my face and back drenched in sweat. The free pudding served in the middle seemed to offset the spicy and bitter taste. I would like to come back one more time and try the homemade noodles. It feels a little thicker than thin cotton. I had a good time.
I really like the Chongqing noodles here, the taste is authentic, love it
Food is very good. Took off one star because I paid for additional toppings for my take out noodles and while they charged me for it, they didnt put it on. So definitely check your order. But the food is good.
Best hand made noodles in Coquitlam. Its as authentic as you can imagine. The boss and chef is from SiChuan and is extremely friendly. I dont eat much spice but hes able to tailor it to my needs. Be warned...once you have their noodles, you cant go back.
Rewatching it again, it s as delicious as ever, thumbs up
Good spicy stuff!
We drove here from Richmond after seeing so many great reviews, and it certainly didn t disappoint! I had the pickled beef tripe noodles which was full of flavours and mildly spicy. I can tell that everything including Ci Ba was made fresh, not readymade stuff purchased from stores like many other restaurants do. Don t miss this place if you re in Coquitlam:)
Great food, great prices, great service, good vibes. Nice and spicy too.
