2922 Glen Dr, Coquitlam, BC V3B 2P5, Canada
Down-to-earth restaurant offering traditional Filipino eats such as meat, seafood & veggie dishes.
Amazing food and friendly staff. The Vegetable Kare Kare is divine and get some rice with that. The BBQ pork ribs were an easy runner-up, charred in the best way. Definitely a healthier option if you’re eating out.
I recently ordered the pancit canton platter from Kulinarya Coquitlam for a party, and I was quite disappointed. The menu indicated it would include a mix of chicken, shrimp, and veggies, but there was no chicken in the dish at all. The topping only had about 6-8 medium-sized shrimp, which felt inadequate for the price. Overall, it didn’t live up to our expectations, and I don’t feel it was worth what we paid. I hope they can improve their portions and accuracy in the future.
Came here with the fam for Father's day. 1st time trying Philippine cuisine and what an exceptional experience. Kind and attentive staff and most importantly the food was incredible. This was actually one of my favorite dining experience. Food was exceptional! Thank you
For someone who cannot cook or even attempt to cook Filipino food but still misses eating good home cooked meal this place is a "God of Happy Tummies" sent. I visited the Coquitlam branch of Kulinarya. They don't skimp on food portions or presentation for to go orders. I have tried many Filipino restaurants in lower mainland but we always leave disappointed or underwhelmed. The food tasted freshly cooked, homey and quite nostalgic and there's no feeling of "Tirang ulam" from the previous day like most Filipino restaurants we have tried. I highly recommend this place. Worth the price and the team who works at the front are friendly as well. Will return again for more happy tummy days.
Had a great meal and experience here, a hidden gem I didn’t realize was 15 mins from my house, will definitely be back. Came by recommendation of my Filipino friends so I already expected it to be good and it didn’t disappoint. I had the Manok sa Gata with Garlic Rice upgrade and it was absolutely delicious 😋. Finished off with my favourite Halo-halo and it was fantastic as well. Cozy old school style family restaurant vibes with great service. Plenty of free parking outside in the plaza and directly in front of the restaurant as well.
This appears to be the only place serving Filipino food in downtown Coquitlam. I started my meal by trying Talong Salad for the first time, it was amazing! The grilled eggplant added a meaty texture to the raw pineapple, tomato, and onions. The grilled squid was good too, but hindsight I should have ordered something else as the flavours overlapped with the salad. Their house-made vinegar is probably one of the best condiments ever, it will go well with pretty much anything. Halo-halo is super sweet and refreshing. The restaurant is fairly small and the tables are closely placed, making space quite tight.
As a Filipino residing in Coquitlam, I’m delighted to have this place so conveniently nearby. My partner and I continue to favor the sisig, and we love the store’s ambiance, which wonderfully showcases Filipino culture. UPDATE: We recently dined in to savor the experience, and it genuinely felt like home with its authentic Filipino atmosphere. The adobo served in a wok was a highlight, and we also loved the lumpiang shanghai. Although they removed the canton from the menu (which was my favorite), my partner tried the bihon and found it delicious. We’re still loving it here!
You'll be happy! Each dish prepared with much attention and care. Had a wonderful dining experience. The place is small and just perfect, gives them more opportunity to pay close attention to you. They'll come over and ask you how your meal was, very hospitable and beautiful atmosphere. A definite great experience.
I LOVE the garlic rice.
the best!!
A cozy filipino restaurant with a home vibe and some great food! Their menu covers a pretty wide variety of classic filipino food, though their garlic rice isnt very garlic. But despite that, we had a great meal of caldereta and lumpia, and I highly recommend them :)
Vegetarian options: Theres a quality selection of both vegetarian and vegan Food
There aren t too many Filipino places with good vegan options, but this place has plenty to try! Our group had a wonderful time trying many of the dishes.
Flavorful food, phenomenal service, and home like atmosphere. Every dish we had was unique and full of flavor. We will definitely be going back again.
After trying so many filipino restaurants in greater vancouver, from downtown to coquitlam to langley, this one is probably the best I ve tried. Although pricy, the food is always fresh and made with care, I just wish they had better ventilation. Old review: Sisig bangus! Yum! The bbq is really good too! for the drinks I recommend trying their sagot gulaman
Food is great but the pancit bihon I bought for take out today taste a bit bland. I hope it can be improved next time.
If you craving for Filipino food in the tri cities area, visit this place. They have an interesting menu and good service. Food is prepared upon order. Price is reasonable. Space is limited. Parking is free (make sure to check the spot well, as to how long can you park). Food
Attentive service, good flavors, but unbearably salty and small portions.
Very delicious dishes!! I recommend their garlic rice to pair with your food.
In a complex with a parking lot with ample parking spaces. Portion sizes are small. The $6 rice was as much as 2 regular bowls of rice. At any 2 item + rice filipino restaurants, 1 bowl of rice is piled high enough for 2 bowls. The beef kaldereta came in a cookie pan... maybe around 7 pieces of beef. The sauce was neither beefy or tomato-y. Best to go somewhere else for this dish. The sisig came in a regular sized pan. Im used to the raw egg being cracked into it but here they have a fully cooked sunny side up egg on top which doesnt really mix well into the sisig. The flavor was good but the crispy pork belly was rubbery. The shanghai lumpia was short and because of that, there is extra layers of spring roll wrapper which made it hard and not light and crispy.
If I missed back home, this is the best place to feel like home Great food and excellent service.
For the first time in my life, I experienced Filipino food, and it was unexpectedly delicious The entire wall on the right side of the entrance is filled with colorful snacks and drinks. The warm yellow chandelier on the counter wears a cute straw hat. The wood-colored tables and chairs and hollow carved decorations add to the Nanyang style. The waiters are very friendly and kind, and they serve meals that are full of color, flavor, and flavor. The crispy pig is a good aftertaste. The soup is sour and delicious, but you are not used to it. Friends who are acidophilic can be brave enough to try it. The dessert ice cream has a light and refreshing fragrance, and the transparent ingredients that I have never seen before are deposited at the bottom. It needs to be stirred well. It is not sweet but not greasy, and has a springy texture. I love it All the good things ended with dinner, and we took stock of our next return visit.
If you re craving for quality Filipino food in Coquitlam, this is probably the best place to be. I highly recommend this restaurant! The dining space is limited but the food is really good and their prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back here to try out their other dishes.
this place was amazing! We got the lumpia shanghai, the pork bbq, manok sa gata, and pancit canton and to finish the halo halo and they were all so delicious. the pork bbq was probably the best skewers i ve ever had we ordered a second plate! will definitely be back soon to try some other dishes
In love with their food ++ love the vegan menu!!! Vegan sisig and kare kare hopefully plant based adobo + desserts next? The meat eaters happy too :)
I ordered Sisig but half of it was onions. When you eat it you can taste all onions. So bad I ll not order anymore.
best restaurant in the area.
I find their Food too salty. If you have kidney problems, be sure to tell them to go easy on fish sauce or salt. Even food that were meant to be unsalted were salted.
Love the vibes here! Decor service and food was great! Will come again
The food here is so authentic and delicious! Staff are incredibly friendly too, so well worth it.
- unfortunately I can t do sea food so options are limited . Not many vegetarian choices . Had the veggie rolls & they were great!
Well prepared versions of Filipino staples with authentic provincial flavors. Must try their Laing with rich creamy coconut gravy cooked with fresh greens and tender porkloin slices. ... goes well with Bangusilog.. the quintessential milkfish breakfast combo. .. only thing lacking are swaying coconut trees and waves crashing on the beach.
We got to try Kamayan Feast (aka. Boodle Fight) at Kulinarya in Coquitlam. No plates or silverware. Just food, food, and more food piled upon some leaves. You use your hands to eat! Feast is an appropriate term to describe our meal that night. On our table we had: Crispy Pata, Kaldereta, Adobo Chicken, Ginataang Kalabasa, Bangus Fried, Steamed Rice, Lumpiang Shanghai. Fried Sweet Potato, and Fried Plantain. The table was a mess but the leaves which were used to hold all the food on the table actually made cleanup very easy and quick. Our server picked up the leaves with all the food in it, and with seemingly very little effort, carried it away. The leaves basically acted as a tablecloth, so it was like lifting a tablecloth with all the food in it, and carrying it away. We were impressed by how quickly and easily the table was cleaned. The feast wasnt over though because what would any feast be without dessert? Our feast included Halo Halo, so even though we were incredibly full already, we had to make room for dessert and stuff ourselves even more! I can now check Boodle Fight off my list. Once was enough for me. It was an interesting experience but I really do prefer eating with utensils! Some of the food was a bit of a hit and miss but overall the food was good. Bangus Fried (fried fish) was incredible! I would go back for that one dish alone, and could eat several orders of it all by myself. It was sooooooooo good! Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free Location: 2922 Glen Dr., Coquitlam
great halo-halo and Lumpia! I feel like Im in the Philippines visiting Kulinarya! thank you
Weve tried the crispy pata, kare-kare, fiesta plate, tapsilog, and pork bbq. Everything was soo delicious and reminded me of home. The decor was homey with capiz windows, jeepney signs and sari-sari store set-up on the wall reminiscent of childhood. A book on the wall called Linamnam by Claude Tayag and Mary Ann Quioc about Filipino restaurants in the different regions gave us ideas on where to eat for our next trip to the motherland - be sure to give it a quick read! We will definitely be back to try their other dishes.
Filipino Restuarant in Coquitlam. Great food, Great Service. Halo Halo is my fave!!
Everything tasted amazing, very flavourful and homey! The noodle dish was slightly salty but the flavours still packed a punch ! Can t wait to come back and try the cassava cake
i ordered 2 halo halo and asked for no beans but i got them with beans then I saw the note. Thank you for letting me know
Almost Every dish has the same vegetables. The garlic rice tasted good Food
Id say overall this place is solid, food is top tier fillipino.
Overall great experience! I really liked the rustic aesthetic, felt very close to home. Food was great!
Love this place! I love their kare kare! Its a taste of home
100% Pinoy, loved the crispy pigs ears (beer match), bangus (milk fish) sisig, crispy pata (pork knuckles) and beef kare-kare! Will surely be back for more.
Delicious authentic Filipino food in Coquitlam! This is one of three Filipino restaurants I dine at in the Greater Vancouver area. The second is Kulinarya s commercial location Fantastic quality, generous portions, attentive service, and they have vegan options! The space is laid back and relaxed. The interior reminds me of a cool Philippine store/cafe. First time at this location and had an enjoyable experience
if you are craving for filipino food, this is the place!
Amazing service, food and location. While the restaurant isnt very big, they make up for it in character. Was the first one trying Filipino food in a restaurant and absolutely loved the sizzling sisig, Panzit and Kare Kare!
We came here for the Kamayan Feast on a recommendation from a friend who had it at their Commercial location, and it was amazing! Its definitely an event, and everything from the food to the service to the experience was wonderful. The price might look a bit high, but for everything you get (including the amount of food), its worth it. We ordered the crispy pata, chicken adobo, beef & tripe kare-kare, bangus grilled, and pinakbet. The meat was crispy and tender without being dry. (We werent the biggest fan of the pinakbet - didnt realize there was bitter melon, which is in us, not the restaurant). The halo-halo dessert was a great, light way to end the meal. The staff were so friendly and hospitable. We had a stroller, and instead of figuring out where to put it, they set it in the back for us. Well be back in the future, but probably just for a regular meal. Weve done take out from here before, but the food is definitely better dining in, especially anything crispy. Kid-friendliness: They only have 1 highchair. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant and entry way is a bit tight, I think itd be difficult to come here with a wheelchair.
The Crispy pata and Tinola I ordered were delicious. I will bring my family when I come back here.
Foods are okay but bad in customer service, been calling several times but never answer the calls, I left the message but no call back. Too bad!!!
Very homey atmosphere and amazingly friendly and attentive staff. Every dish we had was amazing and you can t go wrong with whatever you want to order. I personally would recommended getting the pork belly kare kare combo. The crispiness and juiciness of the pork belly was well balanced and the peanut sauce was amazing as well. The portion sizes for the price were great and each meal was presented nicely. Would definitely come here again! Vegetarian options: Dedicated vegetarian section of the menu. Lots of options! Parking: There was surprisingly a lot of parking for such a condensed area Kid-friendliness: Very homey atmosphere
I had a birthday dinner there tonight. My wife, daughter and granddaughter and I ordered Bangus sistig absolutely awesome. Everything we ordered was delicious. Weve never eaten Filipino food but well be back again. The staff as well were totally awesome . Definitely reccomend.
Amazing high quality foods, reasonable pricing and friendly people
Kulinarya is our favourite restaurant in BC Lots of vegan options. I recommend the Sizzling tofu sisig and Pancit Bihon. The service is always fantastic!
Good Filipino food. Space is not too roomy but great service. Update: 4 years later the food is still as great but I just wished the space is bigger.
THE BEST FILIPINO RESTAURANT EVER!! Tried so many filipino restaurants before but this beats everybody. Prices were reasonable for a quick service and lots of portions per order.
The place is small. The price is reasonable and the taste varies depending on the menu. The amount is a bit small.
If youre looking for delicious food, friendly and warm atmosphere. Check this place out!
Very generous portions, and delicious food. Food takes a bit to come out, but very much worth it.
Having listened to the owner on CBC talking about ethnic Filipino food, I was looking forward to trying Kulinarya. I ordered 3 dishes: Kare Kare was the best peanut satay sauce Ive ever had, but DONT order it with the tripe (optional) as it had a really off sour taste that killed what should have been a perfect dish. The Crispy Binagoogan was excellent, Ive never had fried pork belly before, it was rich but delicious! The Bangus Sisig grilled milkfish came with the head & tail (as it should for authenticity & freshness), the fish was perfectly cooked and had a nice vinegar based light sauce. Garlic rice was delicious. The Sago at Gulaman was a bit of a letdown, basically a brown sugar water bubble tea that was lacking any flavor. I really wanted to give a 5 star rating, but the sour tripe & flavorless drink knocked it down. Excellent service & nicely decorated & clean. Great choice for some unique Filipino cuisine. Not cheap but authentic.
Have been there since Covid.Feels like under new management, staff were very friendly and attentive. Batil Patong and Cripy Pata were good. Karekare s taste is good, beef stew a bit over cooked and food portion is small vs the other dishes at the same price so less one star out of 5 is for that reason. Over all is good.
I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for good tasty Filipino food. They have a lot of options and I like that the food is not just sitting on display for hours on end like many different Filipino restaurants that I ve been to. I ordered several dishes, and I found the pricing to be somewhat overpriced for the amount that I got, however, it makes up for it in taste. The service is nice, and our waitress was really friendly and accommodating for my requests. One thing to be aware about is that they are very generous with the garlic seasoning/garlic usage in their dishes lol. If you are looking to slay a vampire, just come and eat here! The size of the restaurant is small, but it is cozy. My only complaint I would have to say about the atmosphere is that it was very cold, and every time someone opened up the door to come in or leave the restaurant a gust of cold air was coming in each time, that s making it somewhat uncomfortable, and all of us had to keep our jackets on during our dinner.
I ve tried the Commercial drive location and am obsessed, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there was a Coquitlam location as well! My girlfriend and I visited during lunch on a Wednesday and it was very quiet. We ordered the large sinangag (garlic fried rice), ginataang kalabasa (squash, green beans and eggplant in coconut milk and shrimp paste), Vegan Sizzling Tofu-Sisig & Kare-kare (Beef, tripe, and vegetables in thick savory peanut-based sauce). The food was absolutely delicious and had lots of leftovers! I especially love the Tofu & Kare kare. The service was very friendly and prices are very reasonable. I will definitely return again and again!
The taste good but quality not good we ordered pancit canton and pork barbecue pancit is over cooked lthe barbecue some part is cooked som part is not cooked
10/10 food and service!!
Yummy affordable authentic and good staff Ambiance is cozy
Great Filipino food with a modern presentation.
We love the food there, but you seem to be closed more often than not. Today is Wed. Your phone recording says Wed. 12 - 8pm (your new hours)... yet no answer, and delivery apps say you arent available. Again. Whats going on? We want to buy your food and this is getting frustrating with how often you are closed.
Foods are good. Pancit bihon, pata. Amazing
Love it! Food is great! Presentation and portion fantantic. Price reasonable.
I ve tried this place a handful of times and I think it is just okay. The silog dishes are good, I have tried the Tocino and Tapa. Both tasty but I liked the tapa better as it tastes more homemade. The tocino was good but I am thinking it is off-the-shelf (premade) as you can buy this at many Asian markets and even Walmart. We also tried the BBQ and it was our favourite out of everything but could definitely use a bit more char/render the fatty pieces more. My least favourite dishes were the Adobo chicken and pancit. The adobo was extremely bland and not traditional in any way, I am not even sure how much vinegar was used and it was more just a savoury soy-chicken. For $17 we received only two pieces of chicken (rice is not included) and this was extremely disappointing. The pancit had barely any meat in it, maybe 2 small shrimps and 3 small chicken pieces very confusing, and taste was just ok. Not a great value. Overall I think I would only recommend the silog dishes here, and the BBQ. I think they could be much better as it has a lot of potential, just lacking a lot in certain areas and it doesn t hit out of the park for me.
I ordered tinalo but taste like sinigang. They warned me thats no papaya but this taste nothing like tinalo. Very disappointed
Terrible customer service we waited for 1 hour
Very nice service, wonderful people and the food was just MASARAP!!
Very delicious authentic Filipino food!!!
The food is good and theyre very friendly especially.
Got like server
Very bad experience today. If I can proceed with no stars, I would not give them even a 1 star. We were the first customer when they opened after their break at 4 pm. Ordered crispy pata, vegetable Kare kare and sizzling tofu. 35 minutes passed and nothing came. We followed up and the waiter was apologetic but the kitchen did not cook our food. What???? And ask if we can wait another 20 minutes and they will give us a discount. Seriously?? I would not wait even if they say it was for free. I was so hungry as it is my first meal of the day. Will NEVER go back
Delicious Bangus!
So yummy! Love their pork dishes. My goto for all Filipino dishes
Amazing food!!! They have really good vegan options. Loved the service. Don the waitress was absolutely amazing she was extremely friendly and very helpful.
Cute little restaurant by the mall with nice staff. Really enjoyed the rice combination bowl.
The taste quality and portioning is not what it used to be. Halo halo has little to no consistency of beans and jello. Dinuguan does not have the rich taste the same anymore... i also found a piece of plastic that was cooked with my dinuguan dish. The pricing to portion ratio is also quite high.
First time eating Filipino at a restaurant and this place exceeded my expectations. The food was very authentic and everything tasted so great. I cant wait to come back
The only Filipino restaurant around port Coquitlam that I know of. The food is great and the ambiance is very much Pinoy .
Great food and very helpful and friendly staff.
The best Kare kare in town. Clean, and very friendly atmosphere.
Good portions, friendly staff, and nostalgic interior! The sisig and kare-kare reminds me of home, but with a few fun twists. We loved our lunch here!
Possibly the best representation of Filipino food in the Lower Mainland. Recipes coming from the old country without any modifications to suit a Western palate. A truly authentic experience. They are true to their roots and respect the culture. The Kamayan experience, is the best way to sample Filipino cuisine. Salamat and Mabuhay!
I left a bad review on here awhile ago, but I deleted it. I was very hungry and was in a bad state of mind, which caused me leave a bad review. Ive had their food before and it is good, I apologize for leaving the bad review. Place is great, kind people as well
One of my favourite Filipino restaurants. Never disappointed with any dish, except they dont offer palabok on their menu.
I ordered the Lumpia Shanghai party tray, which is cheaply done and not well cooked. It was stingy, hardly any meat. It was so cheap to make lumpia shanghai that I was ashamed of my work. Not yet cooked.
Really good, number 1
A hidden gem in the center of Coquitlam. To those who love Filipino food, a must try. Great food, even greater service.
If you re a Filipino and looking for a food that feels like home, this is the place for you! They served authentic filipino dishes., like crispy pata that is well balanced cook with the softness and crisp, it goes very well with the touch of their homemade vinegar. Fresh lumpia(fresh springroll) and pancit batil patong(noodles) are cooked firmly and so delectable. Furthermore their staffs are polite and well trained to serve not just Filipinos but also other nationalities.
Took a friend who had never had Filipino food before and he was absolutely blown away by how good the food is. This is a really small place, so it might be hard to get a seat even without the covid restrictions! Make sure you get the sizzling sisig, pork hock, and kare kare! (And youll also want more of that prawn sambal type stuff, youll regret it if you didnt.) Highly recommended!
Ordered vegan version of the noodles, got chicken and eggs that they just tried to hide away in sight.
Price is high compared to Chinese food. But the Grilled Bangus and Kare Kare here is good.
Authentic and very tasty dishes. Wonderful staff too :)
Frozen fish and Chinese food it ok for quick shipping
This time it was delicious too but I think I will have to order meat next time :) Malabon is delicious, but it is quite sour and has a strong seafood taste. Those who like sour food will probably like it. Longsilog is delicious, with garlic-flavored rice and fried eggs. But there are only 3 tables inside, which is very small
The service was excellent and the food is just amazing. Definitely coming back again
When craving for Filipino dish, this place is authentic.
Hello fellows, Its my first time to stop by and grab a meal here at Kulinarya restaurant. We got pork sisig which is my daughter favourite. And bangsilog , I like fish I seldom had a fish at home . Its delicious although a little pricy .you can try too and see if you like it.
Stopped by for lunch and ordered the Fiesta Rice (described as Rice dish topped with slices of crunchy pork belly, salted egg, fish flakes and vegetables) and the Laing (Dried taro leaves cooked in coconut milk, shrimp paste and smoked fish topped with lechon kawali) The Fiesta was simply a huge bowl of garlic rice with two finger-sized pieces of pork belly, half a salted egg and a tablespoon each of an assortment of vegetables. It was good, but way overpriced for just a bowl of rice The Laing was good but the price was again way out of line for the small amount provided. Made with shrimp paste, it would be too salty for most tastes; if you order, make sure you stress that it needs to be LESS salty. Neither of these dishes would be considered heart-friendly :-)
We ordered their lechon kawali and 4 skewers of BBQ pork and am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Their lechon kawali is $16 and the amount your get is literally for a child and was not even very flavourful and crispy. The bbq pork skewers is priced at $15 for 4 skewers but the pork was not very big. For the price we paid, I was baffled at the portions it should be a crime. Save your money and go to Pin Pin instead! Never ever coming back!
The crispy pata was very saggy and oily as well as the spring roll. Very disppointed when I got them. Not worth the price. Maxs and Hapag are still the best when it comes to crispy pata.
Good selection of foods. Great presentation once food is ready
Great food, great service
me and family first time try filipino food .food is soso but pricey that ok every restaurant have there own price .the own are cheap we can not finish our food want pack up she charge us .25cent each container and .25cent for the plastic bag that our experience .this is first time and will last time this place
As a Filipino I can testify that this is one of the better Filipino restaurants in the lower mainland. The staff was welcoming and I love the theme and vibe of the place. Personally I found the food a little salty for my liking, but then us Filipinos love salt.. Im just trying to stay healthy. The place is also very tiny, and can fill up pretty quickly.
Went in for lunch with a few people and ended up trying 5 dishes. The beef and pork dishes were quite good but the chicken dish was a touch on the bland side. The appies were ok, not wonderful but overall pretty satisfying. The staff were friendly and saw to our basic needs but could have been a little more attentive as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. Prices are reasonable, certainly within the range of typical casual dining. Of the 3 entrees and 2 appies I think its safe to say 2 entrees and 1 appy were liked by all and the other 2 dishes were less popular. For me it was 3.5 stars but Ill keep the 4 stars since I dont know how to give half stars. Worth trying out, you dont find these dishes on many menus and they have some tasty options. The restaurant was clean but the decorations blocking the window looked like they need a cleaning or replacing.
Not very happy with our meal. So over-priced. The place is so small that social distancing is non existent. Staff were not wearing mask. So disappointed.
The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable.
Excellent food and pleasant service.
Super rude on the phone. Tried to do take out and they were outright insulting to our requests. Its one thing to say they cant do it, its another to be deprecating about it.
Good, not a lot space inside
Wow! What a great little restaurant! I decided to do a take out boodle fight. The manager there was super friendly and helped me pick out the food items and made sure we had enough sauces and rice for everyone. The food was delicious, the fish was so good! I would definitely go back and eat there again!
Fav Filipino Restaurant. Food is pleasantly good. Staff are friendly and the chief cook does special things when you request somethings. Its a small restaurant so dont expect like 25 people will fit here.
Wowed by crispy Pata (pork), skin so crisp, it shattered and meat was moist and flavourful. Tastiest tofu. Prompt service
Delicious food in large portions at good prices. I was a little disappointed that the tea she offered as an option to water came with a $2 charge. Was also disappointed that I didnt have my usual glass to go container in my car, so had to buy theirs for 25 cents each. I ordered the Vegan Sizzling Tofu-Sisig $ 14.00 Crispy tofu with vinegar, soy sauce, onion and chilies (very good 4/5) And Vegan Kare-kare $ 16.00 Fried eggplant, green beans, baby bok choy in stewed peanut sauce (SOOOOOO yummie! 5/5)
Amazing food! Very nice staff! Great service could not be happier with how the place was and how accommodating everyone was!
A great Filipino food experience
My first time trying authentic Filipino food! Very friendly and personable service, and tasty food! Everything is fresh and not too salty nor greasy. You can tell the chef really cares about the food. So impressed that literally all the dishes we ordered were wins! Loved it all; highly recommend.
Nice staff. I chose the Kumayan meal for 13. There was minimal meat portions of each kind. Common thoughts of my guests were not enough meat to go around. Too much of everything else. Good if your vegetarian. But I wouldnt try the Kumayan again. Just order your own meals. 20% gratuity added on to your bill is the agreement. Mine was 93.00 for 470.00 meal. Then it was subtotal with tip. Then taxed. Your tip is taxed!?? Kinda dampers my experience.
Friendly staff and great food
The best Pandit in town
small, simple, tasty food
Lovely Filipino fare. I lived in the Philippines for a while and do much about this place reminded me of my time there. Bring a bunch of friends and order a selection, because everything is good. And... there are vegan options! That didn t even make sense to me, considering how much of a role seafood and meat play in Filipino cuisine, but they pull it off nicely!
Excellent food. They also have an amazing vegan friendly menu. Come eat here fantastic atmosphere.
Excellent vegan options! Every item was off the charts. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Soooooo good!
Food and service was good! Please note you should bring your own containers to take your food home as they charge you 25 cents per container for any food leftover. I have never heard of such a thing when we went to eat our food again after being in the fridge the containers were all wet and collapsed as they are made out of cheap paper. It s quite unfortunate as a paying customer we need to also pay for to go containers. I would have given 5 stars if not for that.
Staff are friendly..but food is ok not that impressive the lechon kawali is so hard cant chew. .the beans also in kare kare was not cook enough.
Pros: Tasty food Cons: Small portions and over priced. Will not be coming back...
Delicate food and friendly staff, small cozy restaurant and there is plenty of parking. Location is near a mall so easy to get to. Only drawback is that the portions can be pretty small, for the price I expect something a bit more, but as mentioned earlier - delicious!
Food was okay but their portion sizes were waaaaay too small for the price. Especially the crispy pata (for $19) was not worth it.
Friendly staff and delicious foods...
Mas sarap! I was craving Pinoy food & it was delicious. Did not disappoint. I will be back.
Good food. Good service!
Food is delicious and staff are very friendly.
No soup on the side like sinigang they don t serve it raw. Specially it s winter time.
We used Kulinarya to bring food to our work place. We had a large order and lots of special request. They were amazing at making sure to cover all requests. The food was amazing, very tasty and lots of flavour. Will definitely used them again for cathering but now will also stop by regularly to grab a bite.
Rarely go to Filipino restaurant because of the previous experience with food being too salty and oily so I d rather cook myself. Tried Kulinarya today since we are looking for a place to eat around Coquitlam, we ordered Caldereta and grilled squid, I would say their food is good. Taste like a home cooking, the serving is not so big but I don t mind because it s more of a quality over quantity here. Thanks for making good quality food!
Good Filipino food
If craving for a a Filipino food, this place is a must try. Food is delicious and place is clean. Not spacious though. I always order the crispy pasta, but looking for a breakfast meal, the silogs are the best.
The place looks very cheap however the food is expensive, you need to pay extra rice because it s not included in the dish, poor service, I don t know much about filipino food but the taste is not the best one in that place...
This is a great spot for a good introduction to Filipino food. Everything is cooked fresh and with a eye for quality. It also has a great little bistro atmosphere and very friendly staff. This is a go to for me.
Great!!!!!@
Awesome Filipino comfort food. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Pretty tasty but my friend who went with me says the dishes are not really authentic. Dishes also on the smaller side.
Great food, good service but limited seats and parking.
Was not happy with the quality of the food and it was very expensive.
Havent personally tried the food but the service is so unprofessional. Called way in advance to make reservations . They said ok but then called back and said they will be closing early so to come earlier . Then many days later they called saying we have to change the time because they had booked a large party for the kamayan fest .. like hmm thats not our problem , we clearly had booked a reservation first . Anyway decided to just not try this place so go to La Meza grill .
Food was just okay, Service was okay but the food was 45 minutes plus to the table. Thats too long, see ya, Wont be back
If you miss a Filipino dish, you know where to dine and have some. And this is the place.
Best Filipino food
This place has improved a lot over the years. The staff is friendly and the dishes we tried were great. We had the kare kare the sinigang and the tortang talong. The restaurant has limited seating, so call ahead if you have a large group. The price is on the expensive side and the portion is small, but its worth a try.
Enjoyed my first time eating there. Atmosphere feels like back home. My fiance really liked the vegetable lumpia.
My cousin and I had lunch at this amazing Filipino restaurant in Coquitlam. I was very impressed with the service, the amazing food and establishment. Worth every dollar spent!
Good selection of Filipino food. Service is okay, just worried during their busy times coz we visited during slow hours. The place has good decor to give you a little local Philippines vibe. Their food was good. We enjoyed the sizzling bangus (milk fish). They also have a special for group settings called Budul Fight. You have to reserve days ahead so they can prepare.
Good breakfast .. loved the TAPSILOG and LONGSILOG and the BANGUS is really good. Friendly managers and staff.
Delicious Filippino food. You cant go wrong with the sigsig and kare kare. The only bad thing about the place, it is really small and tight.
It feels like Im home...
great food
Great food and service. My go to place when craving home cooked Filipino meal.
Great food and experience. The staff are super nice and I cant wait to come back again.
Excellent Vegan food. Very friendly staff. Huge portions and very reasonably priced..
Great food...great service
Friendly and attentive staff, great flavours! I am not an expert on Philippine food, btw. We went without reservation (x2 ppl) on a Sunday night, no waiting for a table. But I can foresee parking issues in the strip mall, since there are multiple restaurants in the vicinity.
Friendly service. Tasty food. Enjoyed crispy pata. Will be back!
The food is incredible, the service is great, the people are kind and the restaurant is amazing!!
not good kanin lng masarap...pork has a weird smell to it...wont be coming back...
Incredible experience and incredible food
Good food and good service. We had the Pancit bihon, Adobo and the Pinakbet. All very good.
Extremely expensive. The longganisa is not authenticate...and prepared wrong. I was disappointed.
The place is fairly small - definitely a few tables too many squeezed in. The atmosphere would be ok if not for being able to hear the clanging in the kitchen. The dishes are hit or miss. The spring rolls and the gata chicken was delicious. The pinakbet was a little bland and lacking in the shrimp paste department. The sisig overpowering and needed something to cut the pork, like calamansi or lemon juice. Id stick to more mundane menu items like the lechon kawali, chicken adobo, or pork barbecue to avoid disappointment.
Good food and good service
We just moved to Coquitlam, and I was craving filipino food. I read so much good reviews here so I decided to come and try their food. Friendly staff, but their food is overpriced. I bought lechon kawali and Im not exaggerating there was only 14 tiny pieces of pork belly in the container and the skin was sooo hard that u cant bite into it. Came with the sauce but the lady gave me 1 lechon sauce and 1 bagoong. The pancit tasted good but I dont think I will come again. I had better food than this. Its too expensive, I dont know how they have so much good reviews. But you have to try to experience it yourself. Everyone is different!.
Love this place. Authentic Filipino food. Staff are great and prices were very reasonable. Our go to place when in Coquitlam for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Good food but very small place. Will be back again
Food was good, service was absolutely terrible
Excellent food and setting! Check it out
Delicious...best Filipino restaurant in the area
