Wow these folks have it dialed in!!! Do not come here unless you have a LARGE appetite. Monster serving size and you will love eating it all to the last morsel. Every aspect of the food is perfect. Come with your friend with a large appetite. They will not be disappointed.

Amazing Greek Food, very highly recommended. Their calamari is made excellently, and my friends also highly praised the lamb souvlaki. Portions are good for a fair price. Parking: This place can get busy, and the front parking is only accessible when travelling east on brunette. There is parking around the back, but it can be a bit cumbersome. Be patient though and spots will open up. There is also street parking on the side. Dont park at the market next door as they will get upset.

Amazing food for reasonable prices, and despite the bustling Friday evening, food came pretty quickly! Vegetarian options: I personally ordered the vegetarian platter, which came with three potato halves, rice, salad, pita, and tzatziki, and it was enough food that I managed to take it home and have leftovers for two more meals (though bear in mind I dont have a crazy appetite). Highly recommended!

Love coming to this restaurant once in a while. Theyre serving are huge so my hubby and I share 1 meal and add appetizer and dessert on top of it. We always have best experience coming here..FOod is great!

Wow what a meal! These are the size of meals and care that I thought was a distant memory of mine. LOTS of delicious food on EVERY plate. I had the meatballs( patties really) very delicious, wonderful salad and rice.

Roast lamb dinner has gotten a bit pricey but it still reigns as the flagship lamb dinner in quality and portion size anywhere in the lower mainland.

I am the authority on Greek restaurants. You wont find a better greek restaurant than My Greek Taverna. Roast lamb is $27. You get pita bread to start and a giant plate of lamb, roast potato, rice and greek salad. Some greek restaurants serve you a giant piece of lamb that is half bone. My greek is my go to restaurant hands down. This place is busy all the time for a reason..... Because it is the best. Anyone who complains about this restaurant is a whiny moron.

1st time and won t be the last. The place was packed when we arrived with a 25 minute wait , we only waited maybe 10. Big portions and very filling, hence why it was busy on a Wed. Food was amazing. Alex, our server was very funny and charming and brought a smile to my mums heart, so did the rest of the staff, as busy as they were, they were all cheerful. Thank you Vegetarian options: Limited but it s a normal Greek restaurant, lots of meat, which is what you should go for. There s other places with more veggie options in the area. But for the staple veggie options, portions are big, filling, and delicious

This is not tiger shrimp, it s just regular shrimp. The menu clearly described it as tiger shrimp, which is why I ordered it, but what I received was obviously just regular shrimp something you could easily find at Costco. When I asked the server if it was indeed tiger shrimp, they seemed embarrassed and mumbled a vague response. Very disappointing.

First time at this restaurant. We went earlier today just after they opened. The food was great: large helpings and very good quality. Service was top notch, our waiter (Alex I think) was a real pro. I would definitely recommend this place.

My family always orders here for take out because we live nearby. Our favourites are Lamb Souvlaki, moussaka and calamari. My 2 year old loves the tzatziki

Enjoyed the food very much. The meats and kalamari were cooked and flavored very well. Only qualm about the place is how busy it is, which is a detriment to the ambience and service. It is quite loud and crowded in the restaurant, and seeing our server was very sparse through the night. We waited almost 30 minutes to receive our bill before going up to pay ourselves. Our server was quite nice otherwise.

This place is a hidden gem , i arrived with my husband without a reservation, we line up but fortunately since we were only two, we were seated right the way, the place was full!, the vibe is warm, the staff was fantastic and the food was delicious!!!, the portions are big!, we ordered lamb and beef souvlaki, the salad+potato+rice was well seasoned and the meat was so tender!, foe dessert we ordered ek mek and you can tell it was home made!, we enjoyed our dinner and definitely we ll come back! The 3 meals we ordered are Greek Ribs, Roasted Lamb, and Beef Souvlaki. These meals were huge and well worth what you paid for. I would say bigger meals than what I have ordered in other Greek restaurants. The service was great. Our 2 waitreses were very friendly and helpful. The decor is very nice, but I wish there was some sort of Greek music playing softly in the background. Im definitely coming back here with friends and family.

Try it in Vancouver I have tried many Greek restaurants, and My Greek is still my favorite. The name of this restaurant is Taverna, but don t mistake it for a chain store. My Greek is the only one in Coquitlam. The boss personally oversees the quality of the food and the serving temperature in the kitchen. It just so happens that the dessert is baked by the owners mother, which is very unique. Many friends I introduced to me said it is a great meal. I recommend friends who love food to try it. I often order New York steak with this dessert, and of course chicken and lamb. great

Service is fast when seated but when you want to take out, it s like 3rd world problem - oh don t call now, call us in 5mins etc. Just take the darn order and deliver 30mins later, that s ok. Have a system. We are in 2024. I appreciate what they do so the in house doesn t suffer but why take out customer suffers for it. In either case, highly recommend the place. Only Greek place in the area - big portions. It can get busy very fast so you better make reservations IF you can. As I said, as customers you don t have much choice but follow what they say. Vegetarian options: Tzatziki, hummus, greek salad etc can be found. Plenty options to order your food without the meat or on the side Dietary restrictions: It s a Greek restaurant - you can have salads and appetizers if you are vegetarian but assume that meat options will be overwhelmingly higher than vegetarian options I would assume. Parking: There are some free parking in front of the building and some on the side roads. There is also a big parking lot on the back for these businesses that s free but almost always it s full and you have to walk back to restaurant. So, if you have seniors that may not be the best option. Kid-friendliness: They provide crayons and something to paint but no kids meal that said portions are huge and your kid can eat what you eat if they are not picky. Wheelchair accessibility: Narrow entry point with no automated door, so not so wheelchair accessible. That said once you are inside some tables certainly can accommodate to wheelchair.

Wow! The BEST Greek food we ve ever had. It has so much flavour and the meat is always so juicy and fresh. The portions are huge, so you will be able to have plenty of leftovers. We drive 45 minutes just to eat here and it has always been well worth it. Must try! You won t regret it. The price is incredibly reasonable. Parking: Parking in the front, some on the street and a big lot in the back.

Stopped in for dinner. We were greeted right away and let know there was a wait to be seated. Quite quickly, we got a table. It was a warm atmosphere, the chatter was lounder than the music. Food came quickly and service was excellent. The portions were big so took half to go for later. Will return and highly recommend.

Lots. Of. Food. Plates felt like they were enough for 2 adults, which is just as well since you can take lefts overs home for lunch or dinner the next day. Roast lamb, beef souvlaki, lamb souvlaki and tiger prawns were all very delicious and cooked nicely. So tasty, along with the rice, potatoes, and Greek salad that came with them. Calimari was also very tender, which seemed both fresh and perfectly cooked. Chicken souvlaki was a little on the dry side unfortunately, so it wasnt nearly as good as everything else was. One draw back was the ambiance. While pleasantly decorated and darker for a more intimate feeling atmosphere, it was quite loud since there were so many people and sound bounced off the walls. Nothing to absorb or deflect sound, so quite noisy, especially since it was busy for a weeknight. So maybe not quite the place for a romantic, date night. Had to wait 30 mins since they didnt take reservation. I guess that speaks to how popular the place is. Almost always a good indication of how good the food is, which was bang on. Very happy to recommend this place for any Greek food lovers, anyone with a big appetite or those who are eager to bring home delicious left-overs for a fulfilling lunch the next day. Well worth it!

I think I waited long for the owner to respond before I put any review, but nothing happened. (( I would like to talk to the owner of this place, please. before I put any actual reviews)). Ive been coming to this restaurant for 18 years because I love the food, especially the roast lamb and my moms favorite, the chicken souvlaki. However, my recent experience was deeply disappointing. When I arrived, the restaurant had just opened, and I requested a window seat as I always do. Despite plenty of availability, I was told the window seats were closed. But shortly after, both a large family and another couple were seated by the window. I complained, and only then was I moved. The server this time was unfamiliar to me, and her service left much to be desired. Before the menu was even brought, I mentioned what I wanted as we were very hungry, but she insisted I look at the menu first. Later, after our food arrived, we were told fresh Greek bread was coming out of the oven in 20 minutes. We were happy to wait, but instead, the server brought us store-bought pita fried in oil. We said nothing, but minutes later, the fresh bread was indeed brought out. At one point, I asked the receptionist for the fresh Greek bread, and she claimed they didnt have any, even though other tables around us had received it. The server then rudely asked if I wanted her to throw away the bread she had brought. I never asked for it in the first place I was happy to wait for the fresh bread as promised. Her attitude throughout was dismissive, and she even walked away while I was explaining my concerns. To top it off, the restaurant was very cold, so I requested hot water, as I saw other tables receiving it with lemon on the rim of glass. Instead of bringing a full cup, she returned with just one half cup of hot water. Throughout the service, she and the chef and receptionist were laughing and staring at our table, which made me uncomfortable and concerned about the handling of our food. After this experience, I m extremely disappointed. I used to love coming here, but I won t be returning as long as these two female servers and the receptionist are still employed. Id rather go somewhere else and be treated with respect.

Greek is definitley not one of my favourite foods but I went along with others to this restaurant. I had the Calimari dish. The calamari was okay but not the best I have had. My only complaint is that there seemed to be too many foods potato, buns and rice that are just there to fill you up as they are cheap. The rest of my party loved their meals more than I did though.

This place is so worth the hype! I went here on a weekend a few months ago and the wait was around 2 hours so we ended up leaving. But we came back recently on a Thursday and was able to get seated right away. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and fairly priced. You definitely get a bang for your buck with how much portion you get! I m kind of a steak snob and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the steak tasted omg (still thinking about it!). We also got calamari to share and you can t get this portion anywhere else for the price ($16.75 ish! We left feeling stuffed and impressed by this place. We definitely will come back and introduce it to more people

Me and my son were craving Greek food tonight, so we decided to order from here and pick it up cause its only a 5 minute walk away from us. We decided to share the chicken souvlaki platter... which comes with chicken skewers, rice, lemon potatoes, Greek salad w/feta, pita bread and tzatziki sauce. We opted for no rice extra potatoes as we dont like rice. Portions were huge and the food smelt so fragrant and fresh. The food was so delicious and authentic.... the one platter was enough for us both and a little left over to my amazement. Im so happy with our experience, I can only imagine how good it would be to eat inside! I highly recommend that you come try the food whether you eat in or pick up, I promise you will not be disappointed.

This Greek restaurant is my go-to choice, and it ranks among my top five favorite places to dine out. The lamb shoulder they serve is unparalleled its the best Ive ever had. Every component of the dish is exceptional, and the calamari is also noteworthy. While the overall experience is excellent, I believe the portion of rice could be more generous, and I wish they served a whole potato instead of just half, simply because I cant get enough of it!

The didnt tell me the fish had big bones in it and I almost choked. I felt a bit embarrassed and didnt say anything. Its super busy, the food is good but youll be waiting a while for your food and drinks. I would eat there again, but stick with the roast lamb - my partner got that and it was very tender.

I got take out calamari + roast lamb dinner plates. Everything was very flavourful! The lamb was a bit rough so you had to keep chewing to break it down. I would definitely come back but maybe not get the roast lamb. It was super packed when I went there and I was super lucky to snag a spot in the limited parking spots in front of the restaurant. It was very loud in the restaurant; Im guessing due to the acoustics of the unit

It was a busy Friday night, but luckily, we got in after waiting only 15 minutes! Service was friendly. We ordered the two person platter B and our favorites were the beef, lamb and spanakopita. It was so much food though, so there was plenty take home. Highly recommend this spot. I can see why a lot of people love it here!

A very loud rushed experience. The Lamb souvlaki tasted like beef due to being over marinated or being prepared in advance and kept in a moist environment. The half potato that was chucked on the plate seemed boiled not roasted and had no hint of flavor and was definitely not prepared as the Greeks roast their potatoes. The rice was good but again not very greek in my opinion. The greek salad was good and fresh but didnt seem to have any sort of dressing. A tiny ramakin of tatziki was served with the meal which was good but not nearly enough. The humus and pita bread appetizer was delicious. Creamy delicious humus .

Best Greek food in the lower mainland! It s so good we drive from Chilliwack! The surrey location used to be good but it was sold about 5 years ago and has gone downhill but the coquitlam location is still owned by the original owners. The food is amazing and the service is insanely fast.

One of the best Greek restaurants in Coquitlam (possibly lower mainland). We ordered the roast lamb and chicken souvlaki dinner. Absolutely delicious with generous portions and reasonable prices. I would recommend making reservations as it does get busy on Fridays and weekends. Also, there s additional parking in the back of the restaurant. Give them a try if you have an itch for Greek food! You will not be disappointed!

We were here yesterday and wow in a good way. Service was incredible. We made a reservation just in case and good thing we did. Laura was our server and she was awsome. I ordered the calamari dinner and it was perfect. My wife had the lamb and it was so good the meat fell right of the bone and melted on her mouth. My friend had the salmon and she ate all of it and loved. We liked our food so much I said thanks to the cooks. Our friends will be back and so will we when we are back in town. Laura if they come back he is a bad tipper so don t blame when we see you next time

Dined in with friends on a Saturday around 6 pm, they dont take reservations so you have to wait. We were told an hour wait but we were seated in 30 minutes as the restaurant was packed full. We were with another couple and ordered our food from a very extensive menu which had more options than your standard Greek restaurant. It seemed like not more than 10-15 minutes the food arrived hot and freshly cooked. The plates that were ordered were calamari dinner, dolmades dinner, lamb dinner, and prawn dinner. Each of these were cooked to perfection, especially the seafood that was not over cooked. Each of the proteins included a healthy portion of rice, a Greek potato, Greek salad, and a pita with garlic butter. The plates are enough for two meals as you get your moneys worth. We drive out of Maple Ridge to come here as I would say its the best Greek restaurant in 50 kms.

Went here yesterday for my birthday dinner and it was AMAZING! I have always loved Greek food but this place does it the best. Not only is the flavour on point but the portions are huge. I ordered the chicken & beef souvlaki and the beef was cooked perfect so juicy and the chicken was great too. My boyfriend ordered the roast lamb and it was massive and melt in your mouth tender. The Greek salad was smothered in feta cheese and the veggies were so crisp and fresh. The atmosphere was nice with the Greek style blue walls and wooden furniture and dim lighting. The staff were great they kept coming around refilling our water without asking etc. Highly recommend going here you won t be disappointed!

It opened at 4 oclock so I went there on time. Its a popular place so its always busy and hectic. The food is so delicious and there is a lot of it. There is a parking lot in front and in front of the store, but it is very difficult to park during busy times.

First time eating here. Food and service were great. Acoustics were poor. It was difficult to carry on conversation with others at the table. Despite this, I look forward to eating there again when in town.

My friend had the calamari dinner, and I had the hummus and spankopita. The food was plentiful and fresh. I took mine home as there was so much.

This is my first time here. I am very happy to know where to go to enjoy Greek food (my favorite - lamb souvlaki). The portion is sufficient, the price is reasonable, and the taste is authentic. I like it.

Their portions are generous and their prices are reasonable. The food is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. Visited this remarkable Greek restaurant and was greeted by a wonderfully helpful and courteous young lady at the window who assisted me with my order. Her service made the takeout process smooth, enjoyable and my order got ready very quick! Moreover, the food served here is truly the epitome of authentic Greek cuisine, undoubtedly the best Ive ever tasted. Highly recommend this spot for both the exceptional service and the incredible food!

Good service, big portions, average food. I recently went to this restaurant based on so many good reviews and everything we ordered was just okay. We had kalamari, saganaki, roast lamb shoulder, and moussaka. It was all pretty standard and nothing stood out. Nothing was bad but Ive had better elsewhere. The service was friendly and the portions were solid for the money. Id prefer to give it a 3.5/5 but 3 feels a bit too low.

0/5 For the host/server (prior to sitting at the table) I went inside to put my name down on the waiting list and was told 45mins for a table by a server. No problem. Came back 45mins later to quickly check the waiting list, all names above mine was crossed out. Great. Went back outside to wait. 20 mins later, came back to check the list again, more thoroughly this time. Saw the host on the phone, calling/answering whatever. Should be me, right? Nah. There were about 10 names below mine that were crossed off with groups of people ranging from 2 to however many people. I then watched her direct two groups of 2/3 people to tables. There were empty tables. My name was not called at all. I then had to ask why my name was not called yet and pointed on the waiting list how far up I was. The host s excuses? She did not see it. I followed up with, my name is clearly on the list still and not crossed off while a bunch of names below it was. Nobody even tried calling. Next excuse? Another server wrote it down and she did not know about it . Maybe try calling then? Waited way longer than necessary. Also, beside my name there was a note with, 45 mins wait . No other name on the paper had such a note. I don t know what that is supposed to mean Food review: Calamari 3/5 A larger than usual portion which was great. Flavour was lacking. Beef Souvlaki (friend ordered this) 4.5/5 Beef was delicious. Nicely grilled yet still juicy. Greek Style Ribs (for me) 2.5/5 Dry. So dry. The ribs were drier than I had expected. Even the rice that came with the ribs was dry which was confirmed by my friend. The rice they got with their souvlaki was fine. I assumed it should be the same but apparently not? Waitrress Barely any interaction, no rating. Average experience would not come back unless craving Greek food.
