Great soup, good price, fresh food. This is the lamb dosa my boyfriend ate! $15.99 for all of this. Probably the best option at this food court!

Awesome dosas here. The mall is not the greatest location but the butter chicken dosas and egg-potato dosas were fantastic. Good sambar soup and raitas to go with our dosas, too.

This is such a hidden gem for South Indian cuisine. The food is fabulous and affordable and the portions are generous! You can eat at the mall or take away for enjoying at home. Dosas are amazing, idli are delicious, chai is lovely - overall, a great find. So happy to have this near me!

The South Indian food served here is pretty authentic and they don t take the shortcuts ( watery sambar, no grated coconuts in chutney) that a lot of South Indian restaurants take. If you are ordering take out of a dosa, I would recommend asking them to separate the filling from the dosa crepe. This will ensure it won t get soggy. They seem to give you a lot of stuffing which is good haha. I m so glad we found this place as we hated driving all the way to surrey to get some decent South Indian food.

The portion is really good. They add good amount of chicken in their biriyani and the chicken also tasted fresh unlike other biriyani places. Loved it

Tiny take-out place in a very dead mall (not sure how this mall is still open...); also a hassle to park/find the place. The sambar soup was yummy, but a VERY small portion - barely a cup (20 mL) and the idli was very unpalatable: dry and coarse; I wondered if the % of rice flour was overly high... Service was friendly, but overall certainly not worth returning. Unless the rest of the menu is outstanding, I cant understand the majority of the reviews being so over-the-top.

Tons of value for the price, a dosa here is usually two meals for me. Best dosa in the tricities, I havent driven much to Surrey for dosa since I found Desi Dosa Madras in the food court. This place is bomb.

This little joint is tucked away in a quiet mall, never visited this mall, just went for this dosa. Ordered mysore potato dosa, one of the best dosa in the area, or maybe ine of the best I ever had. Crispy dosa, rich sambhar and spicy chutney, all elements of the dish were too good.Will definitely be ordering again, the only regret is this restaurant closes at 7pm, way before dinner time most days.

I loved the Dosa and curry we tried! Its fantastic to have a place in Tricities where we can enjoy Dosa, Uttapum, Idli, Vada Sambhar, and even some non-veg South Indian dishes. The location across from Coquitlam Centre in Henderson Mall Food Court is very convenient. Parvin served us with a smile, and the cook willingly answered my curious questions. Great job, guys!

The most authentic dosa, chutney, sambar I have had outside India. We introduced this place to our local friends, they said the sambar takes them back to India. My 2 year old loves the crispy dosa. Plain dosa with sambar chutney and medu wada sambar are my familys favourite.

This is hands down one of the best dosa sambhar places weve visited in the greater Vancouver area. The sambhar and the red chutney are the highlights for us usually.

I honestly love this place. I normally always get the chicken or lamb Biryani but today I got the lamb dosa. Ive gotten the dosa a few times and my only complaint is that its super annoying to eat. You cant pick it up and eat it like a burrito because its molten hot and everything falls out but you also cant fork and knife it either because the knife cant make it through the other side. I wish I had the option to order it with rice or bread I stead of in the dosa purely because I suck at eating it.

This little restaurant is so CLEAN! The dosa we ordered was done perfectly and the sides were very tasty. Service exceptional and friendly. I would highly recommend you try it.

This place is PHENOMONAL the service, the food, the speed, EVERYTHING. This place opened up and ive only ever been coming here since. The spot is convenient and there is many spots to sit at though I mostly order take out and eat at home. Their rice is nice and fluffy and their Butter chicken is packed with flavor. Ive also had their potato masala dosa and if you dip that into the butter chicken it makes a delicious pairing. If you are in the area and want fast cheap convenient easy Indian take out food I would 100% recommend this place.

Newly opened dosa stall in the food court. I ordered a paneer dosa for $15 and it came with soup and 2 additional dipping sauce. It was super delicious - the curry was flavorful and I think the spice level was mild for this dish. My husband had the lamb curry which was spicier. Highly recommend. Compliments to the chef!

Delicious authentic Indian food at Henderson food court

The best Dosa Ive had in a while! I had the Mysure Potatoe Dosa and loved the balanced spices, generous portions, and flavour. I loved the creativity in how the Dosa was folded and cut in half, making it super easy to eat. The Sambar that comes as a side with the Dosa was also 10/10. Will absolutely be coming back!!

Delicious dosa

I ordered the Mysore Cheese Potatoe Dosa and Lamb Spinach Dosa, both tasted pretty yummy and the fillings were aromatic. The food portion was very nice and the food ingredients were fresh. Will be going back there to try out other dishes.

Vegetarian friendly, but also has meat options. It is a stall in the food court of Henderson Mall, which is becoming quite an eclectic venue for yummy street food! Desi Dosa is a great addition to the court. Great food, fast, and reasonably priced. Chicken and spinach dosa hint of heat but not . Tender chicken. Paired with mild (coconut?) chutney and a spicier one. Pani puri A rare find in this area now that The Gully Canteen Coquitlam is closed down. The pani water is nice and chilled. A great snack in summer. Rasmalai : soft, fluffy, not too sweet with hint of pastachio. Really good.

Roti Prata comes to Coquitlam. Of course they don t call it Prata but Madras Paratha. What I really appreciate that it was not made from frozen that sold in Supermarket. It was freshly made and crispy. Also ordered the Fish Curry. Very creamy, good quality fish but a bit sour to my likely. Still a good combination. But do take out and bring home to eat because the wooden fork and spoon just spoilt the eating experience. Best way to eat is still by hands.

I was excited to see a Dosa place open up at Henderson. Ordered the Chicken dosa. It came with Sambhar and two chutneys. Every bite of the meal was delicious. It didnt seem processed/prepackaged. The food was authentic and reminded me of home. I cant wait to go back and try other items on the menu!

Absolutely delicious! The dosa, the red chutney, the Sambhar! It s all a 5 I came in to the mall to run an errand and noticed the dosa restaurant! I decided to get my favourite dish and in the excitement I misread the menu. I wanted to order a Pav Bhaji DOSA (basically pav Bhaji flavoured Bhaji in dosa) and was welcomed with Pav Bhaji I explained the staff that I misread the menu and if it was possible to make it into a dosa. The chef and the order taker were both so kind that they made The pav Bhaji into a dosa as per my request. The whole process was fast, mouthwatering (because you can see the chef make the dosa in front of you ) and accurate. I left with a big smile! I will definitely come back, and refer to friends as well! Thank you Team!

Absolutely delicious does. Seemed pricy at first but the sizes are big so its definately worth checking out.

Finally, found a perfectly done dosai and I enjoyed every bit of it from start to finish. It was delightfully crispy and the tasty potato filling was just right; not overly spicy. Cant wait to try their chai tea and other interesting items on the menu.

My go to place for best South Indian tamil food. Don t miss the French fries. It s a fusion between the west and east.

Authentic Taste

Wow! Delicious and great value! Dosa was so thin and buttery and my potato filling was perfectly cooked and spiced. The coconut side was so smooth and was the perfect accompaniment to the free spicy soup. Will definitely be back.

Delicious experience! The kitchen is clean and organized, you can watch the chef make food while ordering. We ordered the chicken spinach dosa and potato paneer dosa. I ve heard many great things about Desi Dosa and had to try it out, I ended up getting the Butter Chicken Dosa, which is fantastic tons of flavour and the right amount of spice. I took it back to work which is 20mins away and it was still warm and crispy not soggy at all. It also came with a soup and I normally don t like soup but it s also fantastic. I also got the papadam which is ok but I m normally used to it having more flavour and spices but they dips that came with it are fantastic. They service was just as good and very clean.

It was an incredibly satisfying meal. First of all, the portion size is positively ginormous: half a dosa is about the size of my forearm. The outside of the dosa remained crispy until the very end, and the inside soft and fluffy. The overall package was peak comfort food.

Try this the first time due to the good reviews. Impressive size for the dosa. Soup and the two dips tasted great. I ordered the lamb dosa and the portion of lamb is quite generous. Will try other dishes next time. I rarely eat Indian food, but I was scared to give it a try after seeing so many five-star reviews. First of all, the portions are appalling, and the taste is as good as others have said. The two colors of dipping sauce have their own characteristics. Each bun has a lot of mutton stuffing, which is rich but not salty. It s good value for money. Next You can try some of their curry this time.

Loved the idli, spinach chicken dosa and the regular masala dosa here! The sambar and chutneys are authentic, and they have composting friendly utensils which is an awesome thing!

It s so nice to have a proper dosa place here in Coquitlam! The dosas were thin and crispy and the serving very generous. I tried their masala chai as well and I liked that you could sweeten it to your own taste rather than being pre-sweetened. Ill definitely be back!

One of the best dosas Ive had in Vancouver! Highly recommend the Masada Dosa. Some of the other dosas were a bit too salty for my liking. Hope this place does well in this new location and stays here for years to come.

Delicious dosa! My partner got us takeout from here after visiting his parents. I got the mixed veg dosa and it was very full of vegetables, big chunks of carrot, peas, potato, spinach, etc. delicious sambar soup and 2 different chutney, my favourite was the coconut. My partner got the lamb spinach and I didn t taste it but looked like large chunks of meat. Highly recommend. Even after the 30+ minute drive home it was delicious. I kept eating it on and off for 2 hours as it was too big to finish all at once, but I couldn t stop. Can t wait to come back again, it gives me a motivation to visit the in-laws.

Perfect, perfect, perfect dosa!

Phenomenal ghee roast masala dosa, fried chicken appetizer, fish curry, parotta. Am from south India and can vouch for the authenticity of this place. Everything I ve tried has been great. Truly a gem for the tri-cities area. The thoughtfulness and quality of service is great from the chef. Really hope this business thrives and continues to maintain its quality. Biryani & idli could be a bit better. Not as great as the rest. But this stands out only because the other dishes are phenomenal.

And they re very kind too, I tried to ask how much the take away box was (coz most of the food store around this place charged 0.50 for take away box) they said it s for free. Ordered the potato dosa - good but too salty :( The man with glasses at the front who takes orders is very kind though. Handed me the card machine AFTER skipping the tip option. (Usually, food court vendors will still ask you for tip on the card machine.) The worker here is kind and humble.

Tried the butter chicken dosa (16.99) and the lamb dosa (15.99). Each dosa came with a coconut chutney, a tomato ginger chutney, and a side of sambar stew. The dosa itself was thin, crispy and semi-sweet. The butter chicken was slightly tomatoey but couldve used a bit more sauce. Thankfully, its complimented well by the tomato ginger chutney, which was both plentiful and very tasty! The ginger flavour was very pronounced. The lamb came in large, tender chunks and were slightly spicy. It was definitely the winning dosa between the two! The coconut chutney went well with this one to cool the fire when things got too hot. The sambar stew was delicious! It had a strong lentil flavour had was filled with tons of vegetables. Service was pretty good here as the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Vegetarian options: They had many vegetarian curries and dosas. Parking: Parking lot attached to mall. Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators to access food court.
